I'd like to ask: Why do you think Knight's familly would think about all this Dog Man situation?

I mean, thier son died, his body and his dog's head were sew together and this frankenstein-ish thing actually is able to function normally? They are in so fucked up situation right now, like, are they really supposed to just accept it overnight, do not care about it at all? I know in movie there's something about how close to Knight person would react in form of Alice, but she was his girlfriend, not his parents or something, she always could leave him anyway while (normally functioning) familly is trapped.

i talked about it above but like. when javier really truly believes something, when he really truly wants something, it's so fucking obvious. this boy does not lie or pretend about how he feels, point blank period. hell we've seen his behavior when he lies/is not telling the truth; his words are stiff and out of character, and his expression is either menacingly tight or stiffly robotic. he has so, so SO much faith and such a deep desire to save lloyd, and it shows in how he's genuinely fucking thankful that the angels agreed to (or well, were coaxed into agreeing) with what he asked for. i think it's a really interesting character trait and it completely tracks that javier was the protagonist of knight of blood and iron. genuine, emotional characters who love and lose, who have hope and can believe and can also experience despair, can make for an extremely compelling story. javier nails it right on the head

i also think that this character trait completely influenced the way javier used the tactics that lloyd uses. like yes, this is something that lloyd could do, but he also would never be able to pull it off because he doesnt have that same protagonist heart and honest-to-god (pun intended) genuineness that javier has. this inherent authenticity that javier seems to just naturally possess is what allowed him to make these statements and demands, because the sincerity he wears on his sleeve makes it all end up feeling reasonable. only javier could have done something like this, and no one else. i think thats REALLY fun!!!

Favorite thing about them the buildup to him, absolutely. The way you meet slowly many outrider knights and then you read the squire doll and the pontiff eye ring, item description, then you reach irithyll and see what a sulyvahn beast is really like, and then you stroll through the city seeing the decomposed pontiff knights and the slaves that are being worked to death and the horror of irithyll dungeons and then you reach the cathedral and he immediately proceeds to beat your ass. Iconic.

(Side note but i also like that we know nothing of his personality outside of being cruel bcs from a watsonian prospective its like "oh he was such a cunt that literally no one cared to speak of him as a person and he is fated to die as a cruel tyrant who was just a footnote in the story of a more important person)

Yes! Anzu is a character in her own right with a full backstory that expands beyond enstars actually, in ensemble girls, to the point where it makes me wonder at what point they decided to make enstars to show what she's been up to after leaving kimisaki (the school in engirls. There she is called angie, both angie and anzu are references to the pronounciation of the game titles themselves). She's also the older sister of the protagonist of engirls, a male transfer student from yumenosaki into kimisaki (the plot of engirls takes place in enstars 2 era, so her brother is actually still at yumenosaki during the first year of enstars, he's in the general course though, not the idol one).

The reason Anzu transfered is after a failed revolution she was part of in kimisaki. In that game she is a sort of ghost haunting the narrative, where a lot of characters still mention her (and compare iirc?) to her younger brother. I cant speak much of how this impacts him, ive only read a limited number of engirls stories, mostly ones from before he transferred. Heard the game ends with a timeloop he has to break, so im very curious to one day find a translation for That. So while that's happening over at kimisaki, but let's get back to enstars, where anzu gets another chance at a successful revolution and falls in love with idols in the process. Her presence and trickstars revolution solidifies that things are changing from the war into a hopeful future, the student council arent undefeatable, and there are still new characters that can appear and impact the flow of the story.

When trickstar were broken up by fine she stays and helps in the DDD in a way where, without her, trickstars revolution wouldnt have succeeded. She puts on a mask and joins on stage when the only other member left in the unit was subaru, and the minimum number of people to be qualified to perform is 2. She calls people from her old school in the crowd, amd her brother calls general course students, whose support for her trickstar lead to winning the first live against knights and make way for them to progress to the finals. In the end during the DDD finale it's her vote that makes the difference, going into overtime and making trickstar win. She's a regular person, not a genius, not even an idol, who had impacted the course of events time and time again until the end. She supported Trickstar's revolution, joined them on stage as support, i'd say she is the glue of the unit that helped keep it floating, made it a place to return to. On a grander scale, Anzu is a character who gets a second chance at a successful revolution that ends in happiness, something she had failed at kimisaki. Trickstar are the miracle that changes yumenosaki, but that wouldnt have been possible without anzu's support. Their 5th member.

A critique i see sometimes is that everyone ends up liking her for no reason but...thats not true? Many characters welcome her as a breath of fresh air and a needed new perspective, but others are aprehensive and untrusting in the beginning, it's not like her presence alone magically fixes everything as a deus ex machina or anything, she's actively working hard, to the point where she jeopardizes her own health in the process. And it's also not like she acts the same with all idols either, or doesnt have her own personality and input, she directly impacts their character arcs through her treatment, like in kaoru's case comes to mind first.

This is for ! era at least. I feel more confident talking about that one than !!, where she is part of the P association and experiences hardships and is undermined there, but i am not the person to talk about that as i dont feel like my knowledge of her role there is nearly good enough.

A.) i Love angels in stained glass especially when the colors go crazy, this isnt the first time I've invoked them with art of Aporia and the Three Nobles, but more important B.) one day I will go off more about Aporia's angel symbolism in general but for now I gotta talk about Primo's, I gotta.

His Archangel Michael parallels make my brain spin around So fast--the Nobels are definitely supposed to effectively be robotic angels, messengers of the Apocalypse and God's (Z-one's) plan to fix the future. Primo sees himself as a loyal extension of Z-one's will, an agent of vicious justice, the 'commander' of his Ghost army. He's the android gijinka of Aporia's young adult war trauma. He's uhhh technically not alive! Meanwhile, Michael the angel is the leader of God's holy army, a military commander... and in Catholicism he's also the patron saint of death and soldiers. :^) (and. cops. cringe.) (though the Three Nobles were the heads of Sector Security for a While, huh.....) (it goes so deep it doesnt stop)

And there's the sword, of course, Michael is The angel most often depicted with a sword (sometimes a 'normal' blade, sometimes on fire, sometimes it's a spear, etc etc,) it's a spiritual weapon associated with him, created by God. And oh hey Primo what's that you got there....

so DEEPEST APOLOGIES TO STARDUST MY FRIEND STARDUST DRAGON for making her representative of the Literal Devil in that illustration; though, from Iliaster's point of view, perhaps of course Stardust WOULD be their draconic devil stand-in, the ace monster of Yusei, the dominant roadblock to their plans, the (you could perhaps argue) counterpart of their God's image. To Primo especially he has it Aggressively out for Stardust throughout his entire psychological obsession with Yusei. He Wants to Slay That Dragon So Bad, He Wants It as a Trophy On His Wall.

Michael also gets described and depicted very knight like in religious art and discussions, he is frequently armored; Primo also has a lot of knightly vibes imo, design and narrative wise. (And of course so does Sherry...interestingly, Sherry actually ALSO has a lot of parallels with St. Michael, including the fact she takes part in the fight against Primo's duel bot army (y'know...the Diablo :^) and a lot of her Joan of Arc invocations as a character) (that's a story for another post though) (Trey from Zexal ALSO has St. Michael parallels too imo) (but again, that's it's whole other post.) (yugioh LOVES religious symbolism like a bear loves salmon.)

it's just a very neat motif weaved throughout Primo's character!! His attitude is notoriously pretty shitty and difficult to put up with, but at his core he seems himself as a defender of sorts. God's sword. This is the path that will save the future. Tangentially, take this Alleluia verse about St. Michael:

"dreadful judgement," huh? Like... a Judgement Day? A world in peril and needing saving? Wonder who else has something to say about that and is very tunnel-vision obsessed with the notion of being the one alone to grant this safeguard...

every few days i see hockey(?) liveblogs from you (I enjoy the enthusiasm even if i have no idea whats going on). What are the main teams you're following? is it just hockey?

this is so sweet, thank you for the support even if youre a little lost! it is just hockey! but i got plans to get into baseball when it starts in february (go pirates and cubs!) but a little too wordy vomit under the cut about my teams :)

my top team is pittsburgh penguins. for better or worse (and usually worse)—i will be there for every game and saying we're so back after one score when we're down by 5. i will defend them until my last breath, theyre the team ill always put on when having to choose between which ones are currently on. its not a hockey team, its sidney crosby building an ice family with his 5 and counting partners and being known for his banana bread and kind heart and fat ass while literally being the inspiration for over half the players in the nhl because hes been wonderful since he was a rookie. its 18 years of love and friendship despite the odds and how theyre so open in loving and supporting their teammates while hockey culture is filled with toxic masculinity. its the narrative loving and hating us, its sidney being gods most loveable and tortured lamb, its geno whos hilarious and dramatic with a heart of gold, its tanger and his greasy hair, its the babygirlifying grown men AND rooting for the old underdog who are in the 4th spot for the playoffs in their metro area despite our powerplay being a joke and our star players ages (late thirties isnt old by any account but for a high energy physical contact sport?? average retirement is 25-30 instead while 13 of our guys is 30+ and playing some of their best hockey)

after that i really like the leafs despite them being the leafs! theyre a blast to watch (sometimes) and theyre a big third period game, for better or worse. so its always exciting (sometimes unfortunately)! auston matthews is my top favorite from them, hes absolutely remarkable and doesnt get the credit and appreciation he deserves. but i also love the other players, mo, willy, and mitch all especially have a place in my heart :) third fav tosses around with who i can catch a game from most to be honest since a lot of times they overlap too much. im fond of the wild because their goaltender (flower!) was ours for forever. kraken is a blast and has lots of old penguin players too. avalanche is fun to root for when ive seen some games :) im less familiar with all of them but hockey is a fun sport to just throw yourself into and learn as you go so its never been an issue!!

teams i hate is anyone who won against my special guys in the last month tbh HFIFJ but i REALLY hate the chicago team, flyers, and vegas knights. chicago is.... a lot of bad shit off ice and has so many controversies—from their name and jerseys to players being abusive and cover-ups of sexual assault from coaches. just hate them and anytime i see those jerseys and remember theyre allowed while flower was threatened with a lawsuit if he wore his helmet (was designed specially by an indigenous artist to honor flower's indigenous wife and their kids during native american heritage month).... god i just get too pissed, theyre number one for who i despise. flyers are the biggest rivals to the penguins so it makes more sense (but also fuck the capitals and canes for personal grievances. also still mad at the canucks) vegas golden knights just annoys me so much with how theyre still calling themselves the misfits and i associate them with flower leaving so!!!

sorry for the little. word vomit lol but !!! if you ever want to get into hockey, please dm me! im no expert by any means and i know me throwing names out there is intimidating but i promise its fun once you get into it and you dont need to know much to just start watching! for me its great to have something to look forward to every week and watch something happen as it actually happens and liveblog—it kinda feels more like a loose community experience that i never got because of my health issues and disability! its also just fun to be dramatic (screaming its so over when scored on /celebrating a goal) over something thats kinda... not that important. (important for the players and fans ofc but it doesn't change anything in MY daily life outside of how i feel which is refreshing!) sports in general kinda encourage those big emotional responses and it can be great catharsis and silly if you let it be :) and the fan community here can be so welcoming if you just fully ignore twitter and the straight white angry men on it <3

At first Klee would NOTTTT like her because Rhine hurt Albedo and she couldn't imagine her own mom saying she'll leave forever if Klee makes a mistake. But after Alice calms her down and explains that rhine's trying to do better, I think Klee would be really fascinated by her. She'd like... Almost interview Rhine with the amount of questions she asks but it's with such a childlike genuine curiosity that she hasn't seen in like,,, 200 years that she can't help but answer to the best of her ability.

Also just really obsessed with the idea of Klee knowing about Khaenri'ah because... Just look at two of her most prominent caregivers... And both Albedo and kaeya know that Klee would probably learn about it anyway because... Her mom knows Too Much and has friends that know Too Much, and if Klee starts yapping about something not taught (in depth/at all?) in schools, no one would really pay any mind to it. SO LIKE imagine Klee looking at Rhines eyes and completely neutrally saying "you're Khaenri'ahn." Rhine jumps out of her skin because almost no one from this century has said that name before, especially with that amount of neutrality, and the only explanation Klee gives is "your eyes look like kaeyas :D"

Cyborg Theories (Webcomic Spoilers)

I've been thinking about the latest chapters of the Webcomic and it had me thinking of something dark. What if the robots that are loose are Bofoi's, BUT he isn't the one controlling them. What if Bofoi is already dead? It wouldn't be far fetched the cyborgs who killed Kuseno would also kill Bofoi so he won't get in their way. I have a feeling Drive Knight is trying to get control over the association and Bofoi is in his way, because he's actually good but has a weird sense of justice. In the manga Drive Knight goes out of his way twice to harm people, Genos and Sekinger. Though Sekinger can be up in the air because we don't have proof he was lying about not being able to help. That cyborg's timing was way too convenient for him, G5 even says that himself.Now I just wonder what he wants with Blast, maybe he needs him out of his way aswell.

Something that catches my eye aswell is when Phoenix Man is talking about the hero association he puts Drive Knight in the "killer machines" category with Metal Knight(an actual robot) but excludes Genos from the category and doesnt talk of him at all. Sometimes I think Drive Knight is a machine similar to the Metal Knight and is being controlled by someone else, just like how G5 could have been aswell.

Looking at the manga, there is a part where Genos brings Kuseno parts of the cyborg he destroyed and his reaction caught my eye. He starts to sweat and looks nervous. I feel like he knows more than he's letting on, he's probably not evil, but perhaps he made mistakes in the past.

Im excited to see if we'll get more clues from Phoenix man about some things.

on a sandy canyon battlefield, bbh is still a demon, but skeppy doesn't like people hurting him. bbh leaves his back open for a strike that skeppy puts himself in the way of, knowing that he'll be fine - that bbh's own magic, though black and scarred in nature, can put his bondmate back together. or he would be if they weren't in the midst of a battle, and bbh's attention is pulled ever so briefly to fend an incoming attack. the second it takes for bbh to snap away and turn, no amount of magic can put skeppy back together. bbh in grief, turns the entire valley into a graveyard. bloodstained sands whip up under intense heat, and warp into glass.

(decades later, they call it the shattered canyon. red glass pillars like spikes gouging the world, and a body with so much black magic in it that it refuses to rot. skeppy sleeps eternally in a monument of bbh's making, a crystalline spear through his center.)

badboyhalo, consoled by his friend antfrost, learns of prince foolish, who refused the lady death when she came for him. bbh is fading at the edges, no bond to hold him to world. in a fit of desperation, he steals the young prince away, to raise him in a tower and steal his eternal life. the totem of undying is black magic, old and corrupted as all demons are, and bbh spools the threads of it between his fingers. weaves it into himself to stay alive as he searches for a cure to bring skeppy back. a crimson warlord promises to both bbh and antfrost, that it can bring back what once was theirs

far far away in another kingdom, king philza allows prince wilbur to create his own path. prince wilbur claims a small but crucial part of the border between the empire and the dreamer's territory. dream, insulted, wages war against the budding l'manburg.

l'manberg wages bitter war for decades. president-general soot remains steadfast, until one of his trusted men, general eret, turns on him. eret opens wide the gates for the opposing army to crush the rebellion. the dreamer revels in his victory, but he does not trust eret either. who trusts a man swayed so easily by riches? nevermind that punz is dream's eternal shadow. so dream sends eret away

(l’manburg rises anyway, due to the quick thinking of the war cabinet’s youngest and brightest. tubbo and tommy and fundy present dream an offer he cannot decline. eret does not see l’manburg’s most joyous night)

eret, who eventually breaks into the palace of queen puffy, swiping a dusty child's crown. and who eventually stumbles upon a strange tower, but pursued by the guard thinks nothing of it and climbs. they built l'manburg's walls that stood until they fell to eret's own betrayal, and they still have builder's hands and deft footwork. eret needs no ladder to reach the peak, where a young man who calls himself foolish has lived all his life.

they go on a journey, eret pursued by kingdom guards and foolish by the ever stubborn antfrost and a slowly fading badboyhalo

at some point they end up in the shattered canyon. foolish notices something wrong immediately - someone's alive here. or not so alive, as they come across the perfectly preserved skeppy. antfrost and badboyhalo come across them first. eret faces off against crimson banked fury while foolish feverishly works. bbh, maddened by the very place they're in, downs eret with savage precision. antfrost puts a blade to foolish's neck as the queensguard arrives, chasing a thief who lays still on the ground. puffy is with them, because that thief stole her son's crown, and puffy is not a queen who lets offenses lie unanswered.

(foolish, in some other realm, walks through the doors of a massive quartz-walled mansion. a memory of simpler times. so luxurious and grandiose and marked with wealth, he marvels at it until he's interrupted by the spirit of skeppy, who immediately demands to know where bbh is.)

there's another war. of the much smaller scale, but echoing the bloody battle written into glass walls. the crimson, whose agents infiltrated even puffy's trusted ranks, join bbh and antfrost in attempt to strike down the queen. until foolish snaps out of his trance and brings skeppy with him

bbh is shaken enough to stop, and antfrost is awed enough to back away. and skeppy complains that he has an ache in his back, and the moment erupts into chaos. foolish slips out of the commotion to shake eret's unconscious form, his hand pressing their chest and wishing desperately for eret to live.

(in a world like this, the little people often forget: half of magic is wishing. bbh wished skeppy come alive - and so he did. foolish wishes eret survive - and so they do. should eret wish to atone for betrayal - then they shall.)

the crimson doesn't win, because bbh is indebted to foolish and antfrost trusts bbh more than the crimson's promises. they turn on their former comrades even though antfrost hesitates now and then. and puffy isn't happy, but she turns a blind eye as bbh starts weeping over an irate skeppy, and accepts eret's gracious apology for stealing

foolish is crowned by his mother to the joy of the kingdom who loves him immediately, and eret terrorizes their way through the palace into foolish’s personal guard, and bbh and skeppy and antfrost are only seen in whispered tales in mercenary circles

and they all lived happily ever after.

(well, until things start going terribly, terribly wrong in the little nation of l'manburg and badboyhalo is called to hunt down the dreamer to lock him in the inscrutable maze called Pandora, but that's neither here nor there.)

i admit i dont know a lot, but moon knight is an interesting case. first of all, the name is sick as fuck, and their whole thing seems pretty badass in general. unfortunately they're suuuuper elusive/dont really stop to talk to anyone so info on them is really sparse and mostly from internet forum posts which could be riddled with false rumors tbh. but i do know they’re real at least

to explain, i say "they're" not just to refrain from assuming their pronouns but also bc it seems like theres a bunch of them?? from what i hear ppl talk about theres one with like a super bright white slick hood and cape, and one with a less slick kinda tattered looking cape and like, bandages? (i thought it was the same guy after a bad fight but everyone's saying its a diff costume entirely??), and then recently there's ANOTHER one but he doesnt have a cape like the others, he's got like a white suit or something but not a hero suit like an actual suit you'd wear to your wedding, but like, ALL white, plus a mask. and the only reason anyone gets the idea they're associated with each other is they've all got a moon symbol on their costumes (and also they’ve all called themself a moon knight, or so it goes. i don’t actually know if they call themselves that or not). so they're definitely some kind of independent team, would be my guess, so its more like moon knights, and nobody knows who they really are or ANYTHING they just kinda show up and then disappear

the most common one to see is the first one i mentioned, and they do like normal street vigilante stuff kinda like me. the second one i have no clue. most ppl seem scared of them tho, and there’s only really blurry pictures of them online. the third new one however is super interesting, cuz apparently they actually talk to people! and let them take pics with them?? wow there’s a lot actually

idk which one you need info on but if you need more it sounds like i could possibly actually meet up with that third one??? ALTHOUGH they could be prankster banking on the moon knight buzz bc they’re not like the other two at all it’s kinda weird. but yeah thats all i know
