I honestly can't wait to see Adrien's reaction to the whole engagement thing. I wonder whether he will get jealous and just. Not completely, if at all, understand where it comes from. Funny reveal scenario: they turn it into a game.

So post-sentitwins becoming human/freed from amoks + no identities ever being revealed so far, Marinette perfected her anti-akuma charms and started distributing them to very temporary miraculous user. Realizing that keeping all of the miraculous in one place is too risky in case Hawkmoth finds out her identity, Marinette basically gives out all the miraculous to their users permanently.

Cue emotional reve between Adrien and Marinette with love confessions, fireworks, tears, yadda yadda you know the drill.

Onto the fun stuff: the other miraculous users are told that they all go to the same school or are related to people who go there and they basically make a scavenger hunt where the winner is the one who knows the most identities.

Cue side effect shenanigans:

Nino realizing that Adrien purrs. Alya noticing that Marinette is eating a shit ton more meat. Zoe and Chloe having a sudden taste for nectar. Juleka suddenly becomjg one of the most athletic students in the entire school. Juleka noticing her brother's new habit of swelling food whole. Kim and Nathaniel having competitions to see who's the best climber. The entire squad needing to DIY their hair products because it's all turning to furs and feathers. Kagami witnessing how Felix's wardrobe slowly becomes a rainbow. Nino, Kagami, Juleka, and Luka suddenly having a deep love of water and swimming. Have of the class going vegetarian or mostly carnivorous.

Just everybody doing the spiderman meme whenever the figure each other out.

All I can imagine is the extensive research and gaslighting that would go on

Nino looking real hard at Alya winning a game of tag by pouncing on someone with a hands first nosedive. Alya saying that’s just what it’s like having little sisters. Nino, who only has a little brother, can neither confirm nor deny, and Chloe refuses to give him a straight answer

Adrien in the middle of an article about peacock behavior when Felix enters the room wearing a mix of bright blues, purples, and pinks. He begins to suspect Felix has a crush on Luka

Chloe and Zoe clocking eachother immediately after catching eachother in the kitchen at 3 am to sneak in their bug food. They both maintain the stance that its perfectly normal to eat nectar, and actually it does wonders for the skin. Frankly, Kim, it’s rude you even asked

Who will be the next Hawk Moth?

Alright, well there’s a lot of different theories on who will be “the next Hawk Moth”. So I wanted to do a break down on some possibilities (warning: this analysis is REALLY long lol)

Lila

I feel like Lila is very likely to be the next one. She already has a leg up in working with Gabriel (despite not knowing he’s Hawk Moth).

Even though Hawk Moth hasn’t reached his goal of getting Ladybug and Cat Noir’s miraculouses, he’s made good progress. With Lila’s help, he’s gotten PRETTY damn close to getting them since she has that deep hatred of Ladybug. Without her, he wouldn’t have had his invasion of scarlet moths possessing Paris.

Additionally, Lila is pretty full of herself and does just about everything for her own benefit. She could easily grow a bigger hatred towards Ladybug and find out about the benefits of their miraculouses to have her own wish granted.

It’s really difficult to see her as a redeemable character since she has yet to show any redeemable qualities. But, hey, maybe there will be a plot twist where she’ll change her ways.

Chloe

As much as I’d LOVE to see Chloe develop into a better person since we see she is the way she is, I don’t have too much faith in Thomas Astruc’s writing.

Thomas initially started Chloe off as the annoying and conceited bully, then she started seeing the error of her ways, and finally...she was pulled back to square one.

It’s obvious that Chloe is pretty strong. She knows Hawk Moth is evil and has fought off an akuma even when she was super angry with Ladybug. However, Hawk Moth IS a rather powerful man and was able to akumatize Chloe on many occasions. She became his most successful akumatized victim as Miracle Queen. I feel like the fandom doesn’t talk enough about how Chloe managed to get almost ALL the miraculous holders to reveal their identities. (Don’t come for Hawk Moth in saying he hasn’t made a lot of progress - he HAS.)

The main issue with Chloe is that she can easily be manipulated into doing things for Hawk Moth because she has that disliking for Ladybug, deep down. She doesn’t want to hate Ladybug but obviously it’s been tough since she won’t let Chloe have her bee miraculous, and being Queen Bee is very important to her. Chloe wants to be powerful and heroic to feel good about herself since her mom doesn’t see her as something special (which is awful, I feel so bad for Chloe, honestly.)

Even though the likelihood is there, I really don’t want Chloe to become the next Hawk Moth. In season 4, it’d be nice to see some of her character development come back, and hopefully her and her mom build a stronger relationship now that Audrey has decided to stay in Paris with the family. Thomas Astruc needs to make Chloe better but KEEP it that way. She’s shown redeemable qualities and we know why she acts the way that she does. There’s a ridiculous amount of potential for her to be a wonderful, well-rounded character instead of just the evil bully Thomas makes her out to be.

Felix

So far, we’ve only seen Felix in one episode, but we already have a good idea of what he’s like. He’s very manipulative as a form of coping with his father’s death.

Felix already has a bit of a vendetta against Gabriel for keeping Emilie’s family heirlooms, and managed to steal them from Gabriel. He also wasn’t very nice to Adrien in pretending to be him and attempting to hurt his friendships. All of those things Felix did just prove he’d make a *good* villain.

My theory is that he’ll come back for at least one more episode, since he took the wedding rings that were very precious to Gabriel. However, it’s kind of strange to me that Felix hasn’t even been mentioned since his debut episode. So, we will see if this devilish boy makes a comeback.

Adrien

People have had this theory a while back, but it’s just incredibly unlikely at this point.

Adrien cares deeply about his mom and wants her back, of course. However, we see in Cat Blanc that he tried to cataclysm his own father for what he’s done. He was so hurt by his father’s motives, he triggered the end of the world.

There could potentially be an episode where Adrien hears his father out and tries the butterfly miraculous out for himself, but Bunnyx would come out of her burrow and shut that shit down.

OR, we know Gabriel is an awful father and he could somehow manipulate his own son to take his spot as Hawk Moth. (But again, Bunnyx could easily shut this down, too.)

Adrien loves being Cat Noir; he’s shown to be the Cat Noir in the future. He has an extremely good heart. So they’ve pretty much denied Adrien becoming the new Hawk Moth, at this point.

Luka

I think this is the most interesting idea I’ve seen on who the next Hawk Moth will be. (I recommend watching Cat Blanc x Princess Justice’s YouTube video analysis on this. It’s really good! I mention some of her points in here.)

Luka is almost too nice of a character. He cares a lot about other people and just sort of lets Marinette take advantage of his kindness, which is really sad, BUT there could easily be a motive we don’t know behind that, or he’s secretly bothered by it deep down.

There’s that theory that Luka knows Marinette is Ladybug. He could be trying to get closer to her to take the miraculous from her since he might know the power the ladybug and black cat miraculous hold.

Or, like I mentioned before, if Luka is bothered deep down by Marinette’s romantic feelings for Adrien, there could be something that happens that pushes him over the edge. We’ve even seen that Luka makes a terrifying villain as Silencer. He was super manipulative and had a lot of good tactics. Ladybug and Cat Noir DID in fact have a really hard time fighting him. Luka is also not the type of person to get angry like that, but Hawk Moth needs STRONG emotion to feed off of. So, considering how powerful of a villain Luka was, there’s clearly some anger boiling within him.

We also don’t have that much of a backstory to work off of. We’re slowly learning more, but think about it, for instance, we don’t know who his father is. Some people have theorized it’s Jagged Stone but we’re REALLY not sure. So, maybe it’s a motive of his to find his father.

Thomas Astruc made Luka a very likable character, enough so to get most of the fandom to actually like the Lukanette ship. Luka could have been made purposely likable so that the fandom won’t believe that he will be the next villain.

Another good point Cat Blanc x Princess Justice had made was that Miraculous World made a tweet that Miraculous will be introducing a new villain in season 4 - but it’s a character we already know. Lila and Felix are already known BUT they’re also already well-established villains....

Kagami

If Luka is a possibility, so is Kagami. Half the fandom thinks Kagami is great, the other half thinks she’s awful.

Kagami is shown to have a very strong personality (that sometimes comes off as a bit threatening). She’s very blunt about everything, very uptight, doesn’t beat around the bush. Those three characteristics are similar to Gabriel, HOWEVER Kagami has a caring soul and she really wants to be good to Adrien and Marinette.

So, it’s possible, but unlikely and definitely hard to pinpoint what intentions she could possibly have of becoming a villain. Maybe her mother pinches a certain nerve, or she can’t understand why Adrien doesn’t love her.

Additionally, Thomas Astruc doesn’t cut Adrien a lot of slack, let’s be real here. Adrien’s father is already Hawk Moth, he could switch it to his “girlfriend” being Hawk Moth.

Alya

So, I have a bit of an interesting theory on this since I haven’t really seen anyone else mention anything about Alya potentially becoming bad.

Despite Alya/Rena Rouge having a strong bond and trust with Ladybug, there’s that possibility she still wants to unveil who Ladybug really is - she still runs The Ladyblog, after all. And of course, unveiling Ladybug’s identity is extremely dangerous. She even posted the museum exhibit to her blog in Feast, which she didn’t realize was dangerous. It shows that she might slip and reveal something that she shouldn’t have.

Or, maybe Alya manages to lose Ladybug’s trust. Something monumental could happen. There’s already that bit of danger surrounding Ladybug and Rena Rouge since they’re such close friends in real life and know nearly everything about each other.

Hawk Moth also now knows that Alya is Rena, and could do something to push her to reveal something on The Ladyblog, therefore turning her into a villain.

Also, Alya already knows SO much of the Ladybug lore. She’s dedicated so much time to researching the lore behind the miraculouses. Also pretty dangerous and suspicious.

Nino

Like Alya, there’s a chance Nino also loses Ladybug and/or Cat Noir’s trust. When Nino first got his miraculous, he wasn’t very good at acting like a different person in his superhero persona. He could easily slip and reveal an something he isn’t supposed to.

He is the least likely possibility, but not completely impossible.

Tom or Sabine

I put these two in the same excerpt because they have about the same amount of likeliness to be the next Hawk Moth (or maybe one is Hawk Moth and the other is Mayura 👀)

Tom and Sabine are both super sweet, but also, we don’t know a whole lot about them. Since Gabriel - father of sweet cinnamon roll hero Cat Noir - is Hawk Moth, who’s to say superhero Ladybug’s own parents couldn’t become evil? It’d create a super interesting dynamic in the plot because it’s like how would Marinette react if one of her parents was Hawk Moth?

I have a stronger theory that Tom and Sabine used to be the old Ladybug and Cat Noir, but still. Don’t put it past Thomas Astruc to trick us somehow.

How would Gabriel fail (or lose his miraculous)?

One last thing I’d also like to analyze relating to this is this question.

Does Gabriel NOT end up ever getting Ladybug and Cat Noir’s miraculouses? Let’s look over some possibilities:

1) One of the villains he creates or senti-monsters Nathalie creates becomes too powerful and doesn’t give him the miraculouses once they’re captured.

2) He gives up and realizes all he needs is his dearest son Adrien.

3) He gets sickly and can’t fight anymore and passes on his miraculous for someone else to do the job.

4) Simplest answer: His miraculous is stolen.

Cat’s Not-All-Encompassing Character Ranking

Okay, so I have to admit that I omitted a lot of characters I don't have strong opinions on. Most of them were one-off akumas, so don't get your panties in a twist, your faves are probably still on here (and ranked lower than you think).

As a preface again, these are just my personal opinions. They can't hurt you. You can still like characters more or less than me. And I don't care how you feel about them. This list is for me. And the person that asked for it. So shut up. Go make your own rank list if you’re so butthurt. 

We're going in reverse order this time, starting from the bottom:

84. Gabriel Agreste- I mean, is anyone surprised? I am not private about how I think Gabriel should go to jail. Or fall off a cliff. Or be erased from existence. Rip to those that like him, but I’m different.

83. Thomas Astruc- Honestly, he’s down here on principle. Self-inserts are generally a no-no, and I just laugh every time I see him on screen because he really put himself in this show and said boohoo no one appreciates me XD

82. Bob Roth- I feel like this one should also be obvious. He’s just a dick. Terrible human. I give him 0 stars.

81. Tomoe Tsurugi- We all collectively hate her, right? It’s not just me?

80. Su Han- This mans has small peepee energy. And he bad mouthed Fu, so get FUCKED, my dude.

79. Rolland Dupain- Listen, I get it, he liked Marinette in the end, but I could do without the racism.

78. Nathalie Sancoeur- My opinion of Nathalie took a nosedive after the s2 finale. I just do not care that she is in love with her boss. Don’t care that she’s dying. Just do not have it in me.

77. XY- Justin Bieber ass wannabe.

76. Nora Cesiare- I didn’t care for Nora. I know Thomas loves her, but the overbearing sibling trope is tired.

75. Anarka Couffaine- I underestimated how much I don’t really like her. Like, it’s not full-on hate, but I just do not care for her.

74. Otis Cesaire- Got akumatized because a kid said he could outrun a panther. I’m still not over it, Otis.

73. Andre Bourgeois- No love for the crooked mayor. I hope your wife divorces you. 

72. Alec Cataldi- The real villain of Stormy Weather. Like fr why is he such an asshole?

71. Roger Raincomprix- Is Officer Roger just doing his best? Sometimes. But like sometimes this mans just needs to take a chill pill.

70. M. D'Argencourt- Please get out of the 1600s

69. Ella/Etta- These two are basically the same character, and I am indifferent to both of them.

68. KnightOwl/Barbara- Listen, I would have liked you more if you were less controlling.

61. Vincent (Adrien's photographer)- Head empty. Mom’s spaghetti. Idk he’s alright.

60. Manon- I don’t hate Manon. She just gets on my nerves every time she talks.

59. M. Ramier- This mans got akumatized a billion times because he gets emotional about pigeons. I mean, honestly mood.

58. Mme. Mendeleiev- She doesn’t put up with Chloe’s shit, and we respect her for this.

57. Baby August- Someone just give this mans some food. He’s a growing boy.

56. Santa Claus- If I were Santa, I too would list Ladybug as the best kid in the world.

55. Art Teacher- He doesn’t even have a name, but I vibe with him. He seems like he likes to paint scenes of nature with his pet squirrels.

54. Prince Ali- Lil mans just wanted to have a good time. I can respect that.

53. Duusu- Duusu, I get that your Miraculous was broken, but get with the program, girl. You is a hostage.

52. Other Kwamis- Idk, all the ones we haven’t seen as much. I don’t have real opinions on them yet. Just neutral.

51. Sass- He gives me dad vibes.

49. Jean (Chloe's Butler)- He deserves a raise. What is your name, sir? We may never know.

48. Mireille Caquet- She’s pretty cute. No complaints.

47. Aurore Beaureal- Baby’s first akuma. I love her design. She’s a cutie.

46. Claudie Kante (Max’s mom)- This womans just wanted to go to space and live her dream. We stan a hardworking queen.

45. Hot Dog Dan- I like him more than Andre the ice cream fraud. Sure, my hotdog might turn me purple, but if I ask for chili on it, I bet he’d oblige.

44. Nadja Chamack- I mean, she’s doing her best.

43. Audrey Bourgeois- So, as I said in the episode ranking, I have a love-hate relationship with Audrey. She’s the worst, but that’s why I love her. I love her ironically. Like, yeah she’s atrocious, but I just want to watch her burn the world.

42. Luka Couffaine- Directly in the middle, like he’s always been.

41. Nathaniel Kurtzberg- My opinion of Nath improved after Reverser surprisingly. I ship it.

32. Felix Graham de Vanily- I know everyone hates canon Felix, but tbh he exudes massive chaotic neutral gremlin energy, and I actually kinda vibe with that. And he pisses with his uncle which is a whole ass mood.

31. Tikki- Tikki is very cute, but bby please work on the preaching. You don’t always know what’s right, babe.

30. Sabrina Raincomprix- Sabrina deserves better. I hope we see good things happen for her.

29. Lila Rossi- Surprised? I actually like Lila. The first fic I ever wrote for this fandom was a Lila redemption. I think she is a good antagonist and foil to Marinette. I absolutely want to see her get dunked on in canon, but that doesn’t mean I hate her.

7. Kagami Tsurugi- I will fight anyone who shits on Kagami. She has done nothing wrong, you guys are just haters. All she did was exist, and yall said, wow what a toxic bitch?? Disgraceful.

6. Jagged Stone- We are going to ignore the deadbeat dad trope that canon thrust upon him. He is a Marinette stan, and we love that.

5. Kim Le Chien- I really love Kim, you guys. Does that surprise you? Listen, my favorite male character types are sweet beans and himbos. Kim is both of these.

4. Master Fu- If you didn’t pick up on how much I love Fu from the episodes ranking, then idk what to tell you. I want him to be my grandpa. I would trust this mans with my life. He did his best. You paint those pictures, you funky little man. I love you.

3. Plagg- My galaxy trash man. Love him. 10/10 chefs kisses all around.

2. Adrien Agreste- The biggest Marinette stan there is. I just want him to kiss her on the face. And marry her. Idk, I just think that would be neat if he could do that. I just want good things for them.

Jason was an unusual merchant. In order to pay the price for his products you just had to give whatever you want. From information or food to simple money. He had everything you could want, and if he didn't, he would find it.

That was his job and he enjoyed it.

Jason loved his work. Even if sometimes it was lonely. But often his annoying brothers came to visit him. Just like now.

" Heard the news? Young Agreste once again asked the Goddess of Death to be his girlfriend."

Dick, his older brother, always brought news and gossips about others Gods. And he knew that Jason loved to stay updated.

" Who's that?"

" Adrien Agreste, future God of Sun, right now studies with current God. It's like you're forgetting him on purpose."

Jason only shrugged, looking at Dick who was sitting on the other side of the table.

" He's not important for me. But the poor Goddess, who has to live through the hell because of him, is. Now tell me more news."

His brother laughed, taking a small sip of his tea.

" Fine. Goddess of Lies still tells bullshit and rumors about her. Ans some Gods and Goddesses still believe it. Death still stays away from public and doesn't give any information about herself. She especially keeps quiet about her teacher, God of Death, and what happened with him. And her honorary siblings keep that information hidden too."

" Nothing else about others?"

" No, everything is calm... For now."

The evil grin, that his brothers showed, tickled his nerves.

" Why does it sounds like you're gonna do something?"

" Oh come on, Jay. I'm joking!"

" Well, as much as I enjoy your company, I have work to do."

Jason stands up from his table with his mug in the hand. Dick does too, and smiles at his brother.

" It's okay. Hope you have a good day. See you later!"

The bell of his door ringed softly as Dick left. Jason places two mugs into the sink in his backroom, and continues to work.

The silent and calm atmosphere of his shop once again is here. Until he heard a female voice.

" Greetings, Jason."

He hoped that no one, especially his brothers, heard his scream. When Jason calmed down he looked at intruder. She was in black cloak with hood that hid her body and head. But then she lowered her hood. Jason was sure that he never met anyone more beautiful than her. A midnight dark blue hair in a side braid with bluebell eyes and pale skin with freckles.

" H-How did you get here? I'm more than sure that the bell didn't ring."

She giggled, while hiding her mouth with her hand.

" I have my ways."

He took a calming breath and collected his confidence.

" Well then, what I can offer you?"

" Tell me, Jason. Will my company and friendship be a worthy payment?"

He smiled.

" Depends on what you want to buy."

She looked him in the eyes with her majestic blue eyes.

" I'd like to buy your friendship."

That shocked him to the core.

" A-and why would you want it?"

Mysterious lady smiled so gently, he was sure his heart will explode.

" I observed you Jason. You're a kind, honest and pleasant person."

'Was he?'. A silent question that he ran through his head and the one that he gladly ignored. He held out his hand for a handshake.

" Jason Todd, pleasure to meet such a beautiful maiden."

She, without any hesitation, took his hand.

" Marinette, pleasure to meet you too."

That's how a beautiful friendship started. They often hang out at his shop, while he was working, in town, at her giant and beautiful garden and many other places.

Through all of those meetings they got to know eachother.

" You know, you never told me your last name."

Her face saddened at this, and he wanted to punch himself badly.

" I don't actually have a real one. My parents abandoned me when I was very young. I don't know why, and never wanted to know. I was found by a good man, who became my father. He had a lot of honorary kids, who became my siblings. Right now he is on a some kind of vacation."

Jason hugged her, and made sure that she knew how much he cared.

And eventually, this friendship blossomed into something more. Slowly but surely, they fell in love with eachother. During one lovely midday they went on their first date. After some more dates, they became a couple and shared their first kiss.

Right now, Jason and Dick once again talked about news. But a female figure appearing out of nowhere interrupted their talk.

Jason recognised his love's black cloak, and rushed to her, not caring if Dick did the same thing. This time Marinette had a raven's scull mask on that she quickly took off with shaking hands, and looked at him with terrified eyes.

" Jay, please- I beg you- don't tell him I'm here! Jay I need to hide, please!"

Jason nodded to Dick, who took her to the apartment above the shop. He quickly sat at his table, as if working.

After what felt like half a minute some blond guy stumbled inside his shop.

" Can I help you?"

" Is she here!? Answer me!"

The blonde obviously was furious.

" Who?" Jason tried to look innocent.

The guy literally growled.

" The Goddess of Death! Some scull mask, black cloak!"

His eyes widened, his love was the Death herself? He reminded himself that right now wasn't the time to think about it.

" Sorry, today no one besides you stepped inside. But I would be honoured if she would."

Blonde guy furiously slammed the door shut as he ran out from the shop.

Jason tried to digest the new information. Then he remembered about Mari and Dick and quickly climbed the stairs.

Dick guided the shaking lady to Jason's bedroom. He wasn't sure who she was, but she knew Jason well enough to call him by his nickname so he trusted her. He then put her on his brother's bed.

" Are you okay? Any injuries?"

She slowly stretched out her shaking hands and Dick saw something he didn't noticed before. Big, severe burns all over her arms shaped as someone hands. He quickly rushed to the bathroom that was attached to the bedroom and brought water, ointments and bandages. Dick tried to be as gentle as possible with her wounds.

Dick was almost done with bandaging when he heard Jason entering the room. His brother walked closer to mysterious lady.

" Mari, are you feeling better?"

Mentioned lady only nodded. Jason noticed bandages on her arms and looked at him. Dick whispered " I'll tell you later."

Jason gave a small nod.

" Mari, this is my older brother, Dick. Dick, this is Marinette, my... girlfriend."

At first, Dick's eyes widened but then, a big smile appeared on his face.

" Jay-Jay why didn't you tell any of us- curse that, why didn't you tell me about her!" Dick quickly embraced Jason to which he grumbled.

" That's why."

Jason pried himself from his brother's arms, and gently hugged Mari while kissing her forehead. When he let go he sighed.

" Mari I have a serious question... Are you the Goddess of Death?"

Dick's eyes widened once again. He looked from his brother to his hopefully future sister in law. Marinette sighed.

" I hoped you would-!" Unexpectedly a portal opened. Three persons entered Jason's room. Dick recognised Luka, the God of Moon, Felix, the God of Destruction, and Kagami, the Goddess of Mourning.

All of them at the same time shouted their sister's name.

" Marinette!"

Chapter 19

Damian is not happy. Everyone has introduced themselves and it only remains for the two intruders to do so as well, he hopes they refuse to be part of this, but from Drake's enthusiasm, clearly his wishes will not be heard and the two vigilantes will be part of the MT in some way or other.

"Well, it seems serious..." Nightwing hesitates for a moment, but does it anyway, it's the first time that he gives his identity in this way, remembering that they don’t just give their identities, but the MT has trusted them and it seems that their Working method differs a lot from Batman's. "I'm Richard Grayson, you can call me Dick."

"Yeah, we're not doing that." Alix responds with an amused smile.

"So you're Tim, right?" Marinette asks Robin, who nods and removes his mask. "This will be easier then."

"Was the suit delay related to the MT?"

"Something like that." She answers vaguely, but it's Alix who breaks the mysterious air of the matter.

"Stealing museums is not something that is directly related to our vigilante jobs."

Dick looks in surprise between the pink haired girl and the bluenette, who just sighs. He's no stranger to robbery when necessary, just that they admit it so casually is disconcerting. Tim on the other hand, he knows that he will not be very comfortable with the information.

"Do you rob museums?" Tim asks a bit dubious, that's not something he would have expected considering his participation in similar cases taking down robberies and other similar crimes, he didn't think they would commit them.

"Oh yes, my next dream is to rob a Russian museum." Felix responds wryly, but takes his next sentence more seriously. "It's not something we do for pleasure. First we will explain what MT is and then you will understand better why we rob a museum… It will give me a headache."

"Security was dire for supposedly keeping such valuable objects." Damian scoffs, leaning back in his chair, not looking at his brothers. "I would have done a better job while I sleep."

Dick just looks at the boy curiously, did they take him with them? Surely he goes to school, right? Although it not was school day when they first met him and he was at the farmhouse, he's probably homeschooled alongside his monstrous dogs, you can still feel his paws on his face. He doesn't really know what to think of such a brilliant woman being a vigilante, although perhaps he's taking too much reference from Bruce and Oliver who are the complete opposite, he's not exactly a good reference himself either even though he's less grim than the original Batman.

Marie Lenoir and, in general, the majority in that room seem to her very healthy emotionally speaking or, at least, not constipated like him and all his brothers.

"We'll explain it in detail later. Chloe, can you start?

"Sure, Lenoir." She smiles as she calls her last name in her common haughty tone, which has become a way of joking between them. "For the public, the MT is the name of the vigilante organization and which is not related in any way to the heroes, which is not true. The MT is originally the group of heroes… turned into vigilantes to be able to investigate the whereabouts of the butterfly without raising suspicions."

"We haven't done very well, he's a slippery shit." Alix complains getting a little hit from Nathaniel.

"There are kids."

"I've heard worse things, Kurtzberg." Damian dismisses his concerns dismissively. Marinette just gives him a worried look, it's seen that he is holding back from saying something more offensive, he seems about to attack everyone and is worrying. He's been acting very defensive for a few days now.

"Stop saying my last name as if it were an insult."

"Then stop being an idiot, Kurtzberg."

Luka sighs, he's normally a very patient and understanding person, but everyone is a little nervous, easily excitable, they haven't been that nervous since God Shit and Not in Hell joined the team, due to the fact that one is a demon and the other a stranger to most except Marinette (and Felix apparently).

"Returning." Kagami is not willing to put up with everyone's way of acting, but she won't scold them either, surely Felix will have words with everyone and Marinette will take care of Damian. "We are the heroes, we all have magical knowledge and the MT is an organization destined to protect the Miraculous, the magical jewels that give us our powers. Our main mission is to recover the butterfly and watch over the other jewels, whether we have them in our possession or not. The museum robbery was the recovery of the Giraffe's Miraculous."

"Wow, what a good summary," Marc comments by how concise it was, his good humor is not overshadowed by the tension in the room.

"Mari-hime is the Great Guardian, the leader of the entire organization and the most important member of the TM. She is the only one who knows all the spells, potions and cares for jewels and Kwami."

“We don't all have an affinity for being full guardians, especially since we're too old to complete some parts of the training. We may not approve of the ways they did it back in the day, but it takes young spirits to mold compatibility with Guardian magic. Melody completed a large part of her training at the age of fourteen and later continued it with all the knowledge of the temple together with the assistance of some Kwami."

"So you're the heroes too? And they do double duty to keep the city safe… They've been fighting since they were fourteen… ”Marc interrupts Tim from his little review

"Marinette has been doing it since she was thirteen."

"You started alone, right?" Dick asks, he wants confirmation that she didn't have a mentor, but still can't imagine what it must have been like for her to be thrown into danger like that.

"Chat was there, but it was just us. It wasn't until sometime after that I met the Guardian, but it wasn't a guide as such… ”She says thoughtfully, remembering her beginnings as Ladybug. She didn't do her part either, she had settled into just fighting with the Akuma and hoping for some miracle that could reveal Hawkmoth's identity, along with many other things she regrets.

"It's still a great feat, I couldn't have." Tim admits, since he decided to become Robin only because he saw the need to be one to help Batman, otherwise it was not a battle worth fighting. "So what are the Miraculous?"

"Magic jewels connected to quasi-divine entities, they embody abstract concepts such as creation, destruction, emotions, etc. They are called Kwami, unfortunately the connection with the jewel makes them slaves of whoever owns it and it cannot be avoided that their powers are used for evil purposes if they fall into the wrong hands. "Marinette explains in the simplest way she can.” I have been investigating, but there is nothing in the Order's records of any way around control over the Kwami."

"And destroy the jewel?" Dick questions, it's something important if she is saying it, so it's better to understand, although the idea of ​​magic jewels sounds to him straight out of an anime.

"They agreed to anchor themselves to the jewels to be able to have contact with the world in a more personal way, it's what allows them to have a corporeal form and relate to the environment instead of just existing isolated ... The only thing that can have contact with the world material are their powers, but they as an entity are not. At first they considered it a small price for the opportunity to live with their creations, but the slavery that it brought with it was a long-term impediment ... In any case, only the power of Plagg can destroy the jewels, but for magical reasons he cannot do the same with his own jewel."

"Silly if you ask us," Chloe complains. They actually read the temple books, the ones God Shit recommended to them and even Alix traveled with Fluff's help to different times to discover secrets that might have been lost, but nothing in relation to magical slavery, although they didn't go as far as to meet the magician who created the Miraculous, they feel that it's not advisable to do that.

"Maybe we should blackmail Luci into seeing if he knows anything…" Nathaniel mutters, earning a snort from Marc.

John: I think you will like them, they could help us with our research

John: I also bring a gift for your son

John: He didn't mention it to you. Well it's a peace offering

Marie: It's very sweet of you, but I also didn't know that you guys have been talking.

John: I knew he wouldn't tell you anything, the little monster.

John: I guess you don't know who came here either, right?

Marie: No! No wonder he acted so strange, he felt guilty. I can not believe it

Marie: I can't be angry either

John: Why should you? He's taking care of you and, for now, it's the only way he knows

John: It will get better, you have that effect on people

The meeting continues in an uncomfortable environment, if someone hints that they are fully functional adults, anyone in the room would quickly tell them they are wrong. Against their better judgment, neither knows how to proceed. It's usually Marinette who knows what to do, but neither she nor Felix are entirely sure how to proceed from there.

"So… we all agree that we shouldn't say anything to the other Batman?" Nathaniel breaks the ice, looking doubtfully at everyone.

They're a bunch of awkward adults, that's for sure.

"That is obvious, Kurtzberg. The important thing about this ridiculous meeting is to know if they are useful for our interests. So, speak up, what can you bring to this partnership? We are giving them access to one of the greatest secrets in the world, an immediate support team and, above all, a network of reliable contacts around the world. ”Damian folds his arms and looks down at his two older brothers.

Dick looks up to see the boy, who seems very confident in his words and, despite various expressions to the boy's words, cannot say that he's being arrogant about it. Tim is the one answering.

"I offer myself. I've been designing tech updates for Batman, but there are some devices that would fit his surveillance better than ours. "He starts going through his files and Marinette gets up to hand him one of the computers Max uses for data presentation, which are designed to withstand the information traffic that they usually handle in most of their cases. "Oh thanks."

She sits back and watches him set up his own technology with Max's, feeling very excited by the clear differences and surprised when Markov makes an appearance.

"Who you are?"

"Markov, that's Timothy Drake. Let him play on the computer, he wants to show us something. "

"Okay, I thought someone had got hold of some piece of technology. I'll let Dima supervise it."

Dick watches in surprise as the settings return to normal and the screen returns to the files Tim was manipulating in order to present them to others.

"Was that an AI?" Richard questions.

"The question is stupid, obviously it was."

"Damian." Marinette places a hand on her son's head and gives him a firm little look, silently asking him to avoid attacking his apparent paternal family. "That was Markov, the artificial intelligence designed by Max, he's a great ally in research because of his ease of hacking without being detected. He's joined by Dima, the one in charge of guarding the complex and taking care of the Kwami that rest in the box."

"Does he have emotions? That's great. Wait... did you say Max? Max Kanté?"

"The only one" Max walks in just then, grabbing his own laptop and picking an empty seat at random. Tim just stares with his mouth open.

How not meet the genius who designed a robot capable of feeling emotions at thirteen? The guy is quite a celebrity in the scientific world! He founded KanTech at the age of eighteen and is currently a major multi-branch business rival to Wayne Enterprise. In a way, that he's the one designing the MT technology makes perfect sense.

"I don't want to interrupt, but there is an Akuma."

The MT, in a synchronized way, complains in its own way. Damian insults the man behind the mask, Felix complains about it being night, Chloe exclaims about the bad time to do it, Kagami mutters how annoyed it is, Nathaniel is just a long wail with a comforting whisper from Marc.

"Hurry up, let's see what he has prepared for us this time. Team, Kagami, Chloe, Felix and I will go. The others, wait to be called."Those mentioned stand up just in time for the Kwami to appear, which is Pollen hands the comb to its owner, while Wyazz nods to the blonde who is taking off his jacket and gloves to reveal the miracle bracelet.

Marinette also removes the glove where the ring is hidden. The four of them transform in front of the foreign vigilantes, surprising them by seeing the transformation.

In front of him were no longer the vigilantes but the heroes of Paris.

Why Adrigami and Lukanette Won’t Last

Before I start, I want to say that I have nothing against either ship. I actually think Lukanette is quite adorable and there are some cute things about Adrigami. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that some of their scenes just feel... well, wrong to the average viewer. They leave you with a feeling that tells you that things feel off. Which is the point. But let’s start off with Adrigami. Kagami says it best herself, they’re so similar. While it’s important to have similarities with the person you’re in a relationship with, there’s also such thing as too many or the wrong kind of similarities. They both grew up in a rich family with high expectations, strict rules, and being deprived of friendship and socialization outside of the select few individuals their parents allowed. Adrien has already shown that he would love to be just like everybody else without all his family’s riches and rules. He’d be perfectly happy and in a lot of ways, he puts himself at the average persons level to achieve that, despite being extremely famous and rich. Kagami, while she hates some of her restrictions, still holds herself to be above most others and looks down on some things. Kagami still believes in having a sort of structure to her life, having more exquisite tastes, being more judgemental of people. She still wants to belong to the lifestyle she’s grown up with. She thinks that this is what Adrien wants as well, the same life with a bit more freedom. She also has the tendency to want to control Adrien to an extent and have him go along with her just because she wants it. Kagami is the type that believes that she should get something because she wants it and puts in the effort, while Adrien’s the kind of guy that will likely go along with anything someone he’s friends with or cares about wants, even if it’s not something he’s the most pleased with, unless it’s mean and would hurt someone. This isn’t a recipe for a balanced relationship, but a one-sided one where both end up unhappy in the long run. While they grew up very similarly and have a similar view of the world, they handle it entirely different. They’re both very rash. Whenever they think their decision is the right one or there’s something they really want to do, they don’t think it through, they just act. It’s proven to be very bad in some situations for the both of them. Two people in a relationship that make rash decisions without thinking it over or discussing situations or problems with one another won’t last long.

They’re both selfish. Adrien has shown as both Adrien and Chat Noir that he can be quite selfish. But this selfishness is usually something that’s pretty harmless, apart from the way it makes Ladybug feel bad when he’s upset that his affection isn’t returned. While I appreciate Kagami caring about how Marinette would feel about her and Adrien, she won’t even take the time to really consider what’s going on between him and Marinette and how it would affect not just Marinette, but Adrien too. Especially since as far as we know (since we have yet to get Chat Blanc and Felix at this point) Kagami may still think Adrien and Marinette like each other, but since neither will say anything, it’s perfect time to move in. I think Kagami is a good person, though with a lot of flaws. She’s starting to venture out of her sheltered life. The thing is, she doesn’t know what direction she’s going to go. She has just met someone that’s lived a similar life as her and thinks that that means that they’re meant for each other, and that she can try to get him to change things about him that make him, well, him to suit her better. Right now, Adrien seems to be settling for her as he’s drawn in by her interest in him and the fact that Ladybug keeps making it clear she loves someone else and can’t love him (can’t, not doesn’t. Very important distinction) and Marinette appears to him to be interested in Luka. Settling for someone never works out in the long run. Now to Lukanette. It’s not hard to guess what was going through Marinette’s mind the first time she saw Luka. A blushing mess and stuttering like crazy. She thought he was cute (as does Chloe *cough*) and he made an effort to show her that he was okay with her flustered mess and also showed interest in her right away. Marinette at that point was already feeling down about Adrien, and he was the first one to show her that attention that she was missing. I want to point out that while Luka is super sweet, says the right things, and is rather supportive, sometimes that’s not enough. If you have, say, 2-3 people who all are kind, supportive, encouraging, good listeners, etc. But there’s that one person that makes you truly believe it. That fills you with confidence and encouragement that you’re lacking. Chat Noir managed to make her feel better about the situations going on than when Luka found her, even though she hadn’t shared every detail (and different details of the big picture) with them. Luka and Marinette are also very similar. Quiet, wanting to help others, very interested in pursuing their passion for the arts. They strike me as just being content in each other’s company at home or at a nearby park, not doing much. And content, while nice, in this context is also describing settling. A friend had put it well when she said that Luka doesn’t challenge Marinette. If she’s having a bad day, he’ll just be there to listen and play her a song to cheer her up. If she wants something, he’ll stand by while she goes after it. I feel like Luka’s a step or two below her and she goes closer to his level at her most vulnerable of times. This isn’t bad, but this is not the foundation for a happy, long-term relationship. Marinette has shown more interest in Luka than Adrien has in Kagami, but as what was said before, he showed up in her life when she was just realizing that maybe being with Adrien wasn’t possible. Kagami walked in on what was just a regular day for him. Knowing Marinette, she’s going to realize that her feelings for Adrien just aren’t going away, especially when they spend time together as friends. And we know she would feel guilty for not being able to put her all in a relationship with someone as wonderful as Luka who deserves better than that. I feel like that in itself is going to be the reason that Marinette ends things with him, if she’s the one to end it. Because sometimes it’s better to just deal with that pain alone than be in a relationship with someone that’s just going to fall in deeper the longer things go on. And of course, the reason why things won’t work out with either Adrigami and Lukanette is, to quote Fu about Marinette and Adrien, “They were made for each other.” and they truly are. We see signs of it quite often. We’re reminded how they compliment each other at times, things that we wouldn’t even think of as they’re small but very important and telling things. The parallels especially showcase this.  Adrien has shown throughout the show, but much more heavily in S3, his affection for Marinette that he just doesn’t do with Kagami. If you’d like to be reminded of some of these moments, check out my gif post here that tumblr doesn’t want to show in the tags. :P Marinette also, to some, may seem happy and like she’s going to fully move on, and I know quite a few people are scared of that and think that the Love Square is dead. But someone you truly love, you just don’t fully move on. Your heart is not easily changed, and sometimes the heart just doesn’t move on at all. If you’re able to actually 100% move on, heart and all, from someone easily or because you’ve made that decision, it was never love. Or at least romantic love. While she may be with Luka, those feelings with Adrien will still remain and have an affect on her relationship with Luka. Really the most important thing to have is balance. That’s why their scenes have felt wrong, despite so many actually shipping one or both of these pairs. Marinette and Adrien/Ladybug and Chat Noir have this balance. Adrigami and Lukanette do not. If things are thrown out of balance it leads to bad things. Hopefully when both couples realize they’re not working out, things can end well for all of them and they can all remain friends before things take a turn.

How I’d rewrite Miraculous Ladybug a.k.a Miraculous Ladybug Final Mix

Before I start I just want to say, I actually loved this show. I always appreciate shows that establish their own universe separate from the big publishers. Ben 10, Generator Rex, Big Hero 6, hell My Life as a Teenage Robot does this well.

When I started Miraculous I had high hopes and season 1 definitely delivered. However, season 2 had some issues and season 3 only made it worse.

Say what you want about the show, but there was a noticeable shift in quality between season’s 1 and 2 and an even bigger drop in season 3.

I won’t touch season 1 since it did its job well. It established the world and explained some of the rules and lore about Kwami and Miraculous powers.

Now the end of season 1 gave us new antagonist in Lila. Her arrival shook up the established flow of the school. She was the new kid so she hooked everyone with stories of traveling around the world. However she had a habit of lying about herself to make herself seem interesting.

She lied about knowing ladybug and about being the latest in a family of superheroes.

Marinette knows that she’s lying because Lila claims to be Ladybug’s BFF, but she never met Lila before that day.

We then get the episode Volpina and so far this was the closest Ladybug came to surrendering. The only other akuma to get close to getting her earrings was Lady Wifi at this point. She knew how to manipulate people, even if she was sloppy with her lies at first.

When season 2 starts however she’s no where to  be seen until the season finale, Hero’s Day. This is where I’d make my first change.

Season 2

Make Lila stick around for season 2 instead of adding her back at the end of the season

Her absence is attributed to her “Traveling around the world” when she’d really just at home skipping school.

Her mom believes that the school is closed due to constant akuma attacks. The problem with this is that the school would most definitely have called her about her daughter’s absence. Or at the every least gave her a courtesy call about how the trip is going. It also make’s Lila’s mom seem incompetent because she doesn’t bother to go her kid’s school.

If there’s ever a parent teacher conference this lie would be easily dealt with.

Instead have the season 3 premiere episode “Chameleon” be the season 2 premiere. Instead of having the class change the seating order because she came back have her manipulate it so that she’s sitting next to Adrian and that Marinette is sent to the back.

Instead of Adrian telling Marinette to take the high road, have him warn her that without actual proof she’d just be isolated even more by the class. Adrian then promises to help Marinette whenever he can.

This worked in the episode because it showed just how persuasive she could be and how she could sway people she barely knows.

The episode would play out the same way, except at the end Bustier has Adrian stay where he is because she insists that he be a “good role model” and help Lila because of her “Disabilities”

In the end, the seating order is changed permanently and Marinette is moved to the back of the class. Lila begins to wedge herself between Marinette and the class.

Other big changes I’d make to season 2 would be moving Zombizou closer to the episode Despair Bear. At least make them be within an episode of each other. These will be the seeds for Chloe’s redemption, which can work in the show if Astruc would get his head out of his ass and learn how to write his damn characters.

Going off topic for a bit, but Kevin Levin from Ben 10 has tried to kill Ben for most of the original series run. After his mutation he tries to frame Ben for crimes and then off him when they were dragged into a gladiator match. He even teamed up with Vilgax to trap Ben in the Null Void and take the Omnitrix.

When Alien Force rolls around Kevin still tries to kill Ben, but when he meets a Majester Plumber and witnesses him die because of weapon deal gone bad, the same deal that Kevin set up, he realizes that he could be good and teams up with Ben and Gwen.

The same can be said for Chloe.

The most she’s done was prank Marinette, get Alya suspended, and plagiarize Marinette’s work.

As an antagonist she sucked. Hard.

Over the course of season 2 Chloe should steadily get better at not bossing people around and stop playing the “Mayor’s Daughter” card for her own selfish reasons.

At the same time, we should get small hints at Lila driving a wedge between Marinette and the class.

It could just be her mentioning how flaky Marinette can be because she’s never on time for events or just disappears sometimes.

It’d be hard for Marinette to counter this without revealing herself so the class begins to question her.

The season plays differently with Chloe mellowing out and Lila planting seeds of doubt.

Another thing worth mentioning is how Adrian/Chat Noir factors into the show.

In season 3 we see him miss his mom more, but it comes out of nowhere. We the audience know his mom is dead and assume he’s sad about it, but we don’t get actual scenes about this until Gorizilla and it’s not touched again until Felix.

In season 2 we should get more of how Adrian handles his isolation and how the loss of his mom affects him.

Have him lean on Marinette for support like how he asked her to lean on him for help with Lila.

Also have Chat Noir more involved with the whole temp hero thing and have Master Fu keep him in the loop.

Balance seems to be a central theme to the show, but Ladybug seems to be holding all the cards between the duo and Chat Noir is just in the background.

This makes him seem more like a sidekick instead of a partner since he’s almost never consulted when it comes to choosing heroes.

When Anansi happens have Adrian pick Nino to use the Turtle Miraculous and save Alya

The same can be said for how Chloe gets the Bee Miraculous in Style Queen.

He’s known her the longest and sees that she’s been making an honest effort to change, so as Chat Noir her gives her the Bee Miraculous.

This way Chloe gets to have her secret identity and prove herself to Ladybug and Chat Noir as a worthy hero.

Queen Wasp is removed from the series entirely

Maledictator happens because Audrey threatens to go back to New York and Chloe doesn’t know if she wants to go with her or not because she knows she wants a better relationship with her mom, but she’s also making progress at being a better person at school.

Lila sets off the celebration for Chloe leaving and that make Chloe want to leave because she thought she was getting better, but it seems as if her efforts weren’t good enough. Marinette doesn’t participate and defends Chloe since she hasn’t bothered Marinette or anyone else for the last few weeks and Lila takes this opportunity to make it seem like Marinette wants Chloe to stick around and bully the class.

Instead of defending herself Marinette chases after Chloe, and Adrian follows soon after once he hears the news.

The episode play nearly the same way until Chat Noir get whammied by Maledictator and becomes an actual cat.

Ladybug then gives Chloe the Bee Miraculous again and the episode plays out the same way until the end where Marinette offers to be Chloe’s friend and she accepts

Event play out the same leading up to heroes day and the season ends the same way. However, as a reward for their bravery in facing Hawkmoth and Mayura: Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee get to keep their Miraculous

Season 3

Since we moved Chameleon up a season and removed Queen Wasp, we’ll give those two episodes to season 3 as exposition episodes. One where Fu explains in detail to the current holders what happened to the order.

Have it be different from Feast sense the whole reason was Ludacris to begin with. Introduce the concept of an order dedicated to chaos that wants to use the Mirculous for various reasons.  The temple is attacked and Fu managed to get away with the main miracle box with the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous in it.

We also get Fu choosing Ladybug to be the new guardian if something should happen to him with the other heroes agreeing that it should be her.

She begins her training after this episode

In another episode explain what happened to Adrian’s mom

We know that she has some sort of sickness keeping her in a coma and that only the Miraculous can fix it. We know because Adrian mentions how Natalie showed the same symptoms his mom did before she “died”

Have Gabriel remember what caused her to use the Peacock and how he found them to begin with. Have him study the grimoire to learn how to use Ladybug and Chat Noir’s Miraculous to save his wife.

Remove Animaestro since it adds nothing to the plot and was just an excuse for Astruc to shamelessly insert himself into his own show.

As a writer this is a major sin if done wrong. And while other cartoon creators have done this, the make their appearances cameos and don’t take up a majority of the episode complaining

The love Hexagon remains mostly the same, but Marinette doesn’t get super jealous of Kagami and ends becoming friends with her after getting to know her better. Meanwhile have Adrian subconsciously react to Luka’s presence around Marinette and have him question why when he thinks he’s dead set on loving Ladybug.

The episodes leading up to Ikari Gozen remain the same except Kagami doesn’t reveal her identity in the fight and Chat Noir gives her the Dragon Miraculous before she get captured by her mother.

Chat Blanc would be completely different. Instead of a what if episode, we have Chat Noir gets akumatized because it’s the anniversary of his mother’s death and he can’t hide how sad he is. Hawkmoth capitalizes on this and Chat Blanc is born. The other heroes show up to deal with the threat and the new reserves show up to help as well.

Chat Blanc almost sets off a world wide Cataclysm, but Viperion uses second chance to warn them. Have Monkey King disrupt Chat Blanc’s powers and then have Queen Wasp paralyze him so Ladybug can find the Akuma and cure it.

Felix plays differently as well. For starters have him not be related to Adrian and make him look different from him entirely. Felix and the other Quantic kids can be in a different class altogether. His introduction can play into the whole Lila situation as he and the other quantic kids don’t buy into her lies, but they can’t prove any of them are false.

For this to work even more, Lila’s lie of knowing Prince Ali doesn’t come up since she didn’t leave the school.

Now comes the big episode of the season, Ladybug.

This episode was good for so many reasons, but this time we’ll up the ante.

Lila still plants the necklace and test answers, but this time she goes further.

When they’re sent to the principal’s office she throws herself down the stairs can then claims that Marinette pushed her.

This time the evidence is damning and Lila’s mom is called. With the actual scrapes and bruises to help sell the story along with the test answers being put in Marinette’s bag and the Lila’s necklace in her locker Marinette is expelled and the same events as the episode take place, but this time Nino isn’t akumatized because it’s implied that he’s known Marinette for a long time so he should know she’d never get physical with someone or cheat (But she has taken the occasional cell phone)

Alya looks for clues to prove that Marinette is innocent and Nino joins along with Adrian.

The trail goes cold and then the episode pans out the same way. In the end Chloe makes a big scene about Marinette being expelled and find proof that she didn’t cheat on the test and didn’t steal the necklace, but can’t ultimately prove that Marinette didn’t push Lila. She then uses the “Mayor’s Daughter” card to get Marinette back in school, but the damage has been done. Most of the class believes Lila over Marinette and begin to isolate her. Although, Alya decides to finally do some fact checking on Lila after the string of incidents that morning and finds out that she’s been lying. She apologizes for how she’s been acting and nukes the ladyblog since she deems it “tainted” and commits to the school blog.

This shows a great deal of growth for Alya since he doesn’t feel the need to follow superheroes since she is one, and is willing to give up something for her friend’s sake.

After all of this happens Marinette is stripped of her class rep title and the Class nominates Lila.

Hearthunter and Miracle Queen don’t happen at all sense Chloe is fully redeemed at this point. Instead, Lila returns as Volpina to lure out Fu since Hawkmoth managed to figure out that he was in town after Hero’s Day.

Volpina creates an illusion to lure him out, but Fu realizes this and runs to find Marinette while in disguise. He gives her the Miracle Box and he loses his memories. Marinette stashes the box in her room before trying to get him somewhere safe, but when he gets to the train station he’s Akumatized by Hawkmoth and Ladybug and the other heroes must fight their mentor.

After the battle Marinette calls Marianne to take care of Fu and the two leave Paris while the other heroes watch the train depart with heavy hearts.

My biggest gripes with the show are how the character are never allowed to grow and how much the status quo remains mostly the same at the end of each episode.  

Almost none of what happens in a regular episode changes the flow of the story, and only the season premieres and finales seem to hold any weight. Not to mention Astruc’s obvious bias towards certain characters. He expects Marinette to be super mature, but she’s 14. He stated that he hates Chloe and Felix and goes out of his way to treat them like garbage.

In Felix’s debut episode he had him make an enemy with damn near the entire cast and even had Ladybug deck him.

Astruc for the most part doesn’t change anything and plays things too safe, unless it’s pointless fanservice that just serves to anger the fans even more.

I rewrote the last two season of Miraculous because for the most part, it’s become a sinking ship that could have easily been fixed.

Thoughts on Luka and in general

Well, I have been working on an analysis for Luka’s character for a little while now and every time I worked on it, I just didn’t like the way it was turning out. As in, it wasn’t flowing well, it was super messy and patchy, and it was so long that I was losing track of all of the points I was planning on making....yes, that long. SO, I thought I would not only spare myself the headache, but that I would spare you guys too lol.  So I just threw this together hoping it would sit better with me and luckily, it does :) .

I was going to make this post some grand master-analysis on my theories, thoughts and opinions of everything from characters, theories, different ships, etc. and yikes, that idea was scratched pretty quickly because someone who rambles as much as I do, that’s the worst decision ever lol I do not have the time nor patience for any of that mess lol.

Besides, most of what was in this post before I scrapped it has all been said before so I didn’t want to be repetitive.

So instead, I have decided to include mainly my new thoughts on Luka since coming to a different conclusion and stance on his character. The rest will be included, yes, but in the form of links to my other theories and opinions that I was planning including originally to some degree for anyone who may care what my opinion is.

With all that being said, let’s talk about my new found opinion of Luka.

I have always agreed with those that said that Luka’s character was flat, 2-dimensional and too “perfect” to be true. Now here’s the thing, while I was writing the scrapped analysis that was essentially going to reiterate those same things, I came to the conclusion that Luka is, in fact, not perfect. 

For instance:

In the episode, “Silencer,” Marinette and Luka go to XY and his manager to defend Kitty Section when discovering their style and song were wrongfully stolen/ copied. Of course, Luka is a very reserved and subdued character so his flaws are more easily unnoticed at first glance. To spot his flaws, you have to look less at what he is doing (writing melodies, being compassionate, etc. you know, things that make him “perfect.”) and look more at what he is not doing. Back to my point in, “Silencer.” So, Marinette, as she normally does, is quick to defend and argue over the wrongful use of Kitty Section’s style and song. She ends up in a pretty heated argument with XY’s manager. Where is Luka, you ask? While he is in indeed angry like Marinette, but he is standing in the background not really helping nor backing her up in said argument when he arguably should have. Now, this is in fact a flaw. It is due to his non-confrontational and reserved nature that he does not get involved in the argument, neither to back up / defend Marinette, but also not to defend Kitty Section, his own band. He just let’s Marinette do all the arguing and talking while he’s just there watching, getting angrier and angrier, eventually being akumatized. 

Granted, Luka has shown to be not as good with words as say maybe someone like Marinette. What I mean by that is, he usually seems to speak via music so maybe he struggles with verbal expression although that would contradict his poetic words in, “Silencer,” and compassionate words in, “Felix.” Not that expression primarily through music is a bad thing, it is easily endearing to his character however it can also be viewed as another “flaw,” being that he is not a communicator unlike Marinette, who sometimes over communicates lol. It’s pretty clear that Luka does have some nice choice of words to say, however when he does talk, he doesn’t say a whole lot as in, it’s fairly brief. Otherwise, he keeps to himself it seems. Now Luka’s lack of communication can be foreseen as kryptonite to the Lukanette ship, just as I have said above, Marinette is a communicator and not Luka. For someone like Marinette, that could easily be a “turn off” for her, who is a very (sometimes overly) outwardly expressive person, although sometimes not by choice lol.

I may not have found many flaws for Luka, however I feel it’s enough to combat the statement of his character being too “perfect.” I agree, he seems that way at first. Due to his “laid back,” and “go with the flow,” type nature, it’s easy to potentially misinterpret him as a “too good to be true,” type of character. To reiterate, his flaws can be more easily found in what he is not doing, rather than what he is doing. For comparison, a good example of someone having flaws based off of what they do/ their actions (as opposed to inaction) would be Kagami, basing this statement off of her vastly differing personality from Luka. 

To sum up regarding Luka’s flaws, the ones that I have found so far are inaction, seemingly distant and disinterested (mentioned more in depth in link #2) and lack of general communication. Why he possesses those flaws are open to anyone’s interpretation. I for one, am not digging that deep.

Thus being why I have changed my opinion of Luka from being neither good nor bad, just generally indifferent to his character, to actually now being a Luka stan. Now, I’m not necessarily his biggest fan and I am certainly not a fan of Lukanette, but I’m ok with his character and  I do stan Lukagami because they are both Adrien and Marinette’s mirrors, therefore they are also arguably yin and yang like Adrien and Marinette.

Now this post is titled, “Thoughts on Luka and in general.” Meaning, there are some other things I wanted to include that don’t necessarily involve Luka’s character. 

1st being - As of the season 3 finale, I would like to state that no one is officially dating. Nothing official has happened. No one even kissed. 90% of Lukanette’s actions were essentially friendly, nothing too romantic. Marinette does not appear to really reciprocate Luka’s feelings (as backed by, “Luka as seen by Marinette,” video where she never mentions returning his feelings). Also, Adrigami didn’t officially happen either. Although a kiss was attempted, it did in fact fail on Adrien’s end. Some kids sat next to each other, hung out  and ate ice cream which normally doesn’t suggest that people are dating. If anything at all romantic happened in the very end of the finale, it’s that the two pairs are in the, “testing the waters,” phase at best. No more no less, in my opinion.

Remember: The theme of the finale was, “You don’t always get what you want.” That doesn’t just apply to Adrien, Marinette and especially the fandom. It also applies to Kagami, Luka, Chloe, Hawkmoth, Mayra and hell, even Andre lol.

Let’s be honest, we’re not even guaranteed to pick up where we left off in the season 3 finale when season 4 starts.

2nd thing - Now that the peacock miraculous is fixed, I will be shocked if we don’t see the butterfly and peacock miraculous unified, and whatever fresh hell that will bring lol.

Third thing - The kiss in season 2 finale was not just friendly unless when a friend kisses you on the cheek, you look at them like this...

To which I must ask....are they just a friend lmao? (Lol sorry, don't @ me, trying to make a MLB pun....)

4th  thing - I really don’t know which love square ship will be primary in season 4. Like, Adrien still loves Ladybug, obviously, and always will but seems to be taking a break from pursuing her romantically. It is also made crystal clear via a forgotten confession in, “Chat Blanc,” and through increasingly prominent heart eyes from Adrien that his, “more than friends,” feelings for Marinette are growing so much and so fast that they’re quickly reaching the point for him to no longer be able to ignore it. So Adrien, “changing his target,” will not shift to Kagami, rather it will shift to Marinette. I mean, there was no mention of Adrigami vs. Adrinette having a decided victor in season 4 like Lukanette vs. Adrinette, which leads me to think they will not only end first, but also end pretty early on in the season if the ship takes off officially at all, which is still unknown. Next, we have Marinette who is in a more complicated position. She believes that she cannot love Chat due to thinking, for what she knows to be some outrageous reason that she refuses to look into, “will end the world.” She is also trying to move on from Adrien, who obviously she will also never get over. So for Marinette it’s trickier because she feels like she can’t have either, while Adrien seems to get a simple shift in “targets.” 

So how this love square business is going to play out in season 4 is kind of up in the air for me. Marichat is a possible route, where Adrien is pining for Marinette as Chat and Marinette is pining for Chat (while believing they can’t be together) however that makes it seem less likely. It could also be Adrinette, which I feel might be the most sensible route, because Adrien pining for Marinette after finally coming to terms with his feelings for her, and Marinette I guess then deciding to give them a shot romantically assuming Adrien confesses, otherwise if she is still trying to move on without knowing Adriens feelings for her, then I don’t know how well that would work. Ladrien I guess could work, like an unrequited love type deal although I don’t know how likely that is to happen given both main character’s head spaces. Ladynoir I expect, at least for most of the season, to be mostly platonic temporarily. Ladynoir, in my opinion, will probably be the last corner of the love square to be resolved, which I think will take place in the movie after season 4. So, yeah.....more than likely to be played out either via Marichat or Adrinette in my opinion.

Is ML misogynistic?

I say yes. There are two big factors for this, the rivalries we have, and the lessons and who they’re directed at. And how characters feelings are handled. 

We have only rivalries with girls, and all over the same boy or he is involved in some shape or form in these clashes. We see Marinette going against Chloe, Lila, and Kagami. 

We don’t see any rivalries between boys, or between boys and girls. Its just girls who don’t end up getting along and have to be on opposing sides. We don’t even see Luka and Adrien clash at all, they get to be friends and get along while Marinette and Kagami get to be at odds. As of now, depending on what they do with Felix, we may see our first rivalry between boys, but we’ll see. If they are playing off fanon ideas, there is a chance we may see Felix as another Adrien coddler, who wants to reassure him and protect him, which I have seen a few times in fics. I’m hoping not since we have Nino and Kagami fill this role. 

Another factor is learning lessons. There’s a lot to say so it’ll be under cut. 

For our two leads, its Marinette who has to learn a lesson almost every episode at this point. Even lessons she doesn’t need to learn, or lessons that can be counted is being very nitpicky. Its Marinette who has be told she’s in the wrong about something by Tikki, and by Adrien/Chat. But its not the same for Adrien, he doesn’t learn lessons, Marinette isn’t allowed to call him out or protest against his views, the writers just have her agree even when she should be allowed to disagree. Plagg does call out Adrien, but it goes in one ear and out the other. Adrien never considers Plagg’s words, doesn’t learn, and just has an easier load in comparison to Marientte lesson wise. He doesn’t have to learn because he’s “perfect”. Instead, he gets to teach the more flawed girls lessons, the biggest two being Marinette and Kagami. 

Marinette, as herself and Ladybug, listen and learn from him. She never gets to return this to Adrien/Chat. Only she can learn from him in this partnership, not him fro her, ever. 

Kagami gets to learn from him in Frozer, to not be so closed off to helping someone. I’m also high key suspecting that it’ll be Adrien who motivates her to rebel against her mother and not Kagami on her own. 

Also factor in when our leads make mistakes, Marinette gets called out for everything, from small to big:

telling little white lies to get a kid to behave in Chris Master

Not being at the bakery to give Nadja her cake even though Nadja came by earlier than expected 

being told she needs to listen to others even though the ep also has her listening and thanking the butler for his time in Antibug

in Gamer being told she’s in the wrong for joining a gaming tournament for the motive of wanting to spend time with Adrien and being inconsiderate of Max’s feelings, even though no one else was being considerate of Marinette’s feelings 

Being told she needs to give Chloe another chance despite the fact that Chloe has proven herself over and over again to be untrustworthy and is awful to Marinette 

Being told to let Lila do what she wants despite her lying to Marinette’s friends and being cornered and threatened by Lila

Being told by Tikki that she shouldn’t lie in Papa Garou despite doing so to keep her identity secret 

Everyone getting upset with her when she considers moving on from Adrien in Frozer

Glaciator she has to be mature and apologize to Chat despite her saying it wasn’t certain that she’d make it to his date 

Is also made to feel about about things that shouldn’t have happened, like Troublemaker when she has a panic attack about her privacy invaded, Catalyst for not being prepared for Heroes Day

Now, let’s look at Adrien and what trouble he gets into

Copycat, in a fit of jealousy lies and digs at Theo, makes LB think she caused CC for not being there, doesn’t apologize. There’s nothing in his behavior that tell me he feels guilty about his actions either

Dark Cupid wants to confess to LB during an akuma attack, does get in trouble, but doesn’t remember it and doesn’t learn anything or get called out 

Volpina dismissive his partner every time she tries to talk to him, putting her down each time; doesn’t get in trouble or apologize for the mistrust 

Prime Queen constantly tries to kiss LB during the attack, doesn’t get in trouble for it or called out 

Despair Bear made an effort to call Chloe out, doesn’t see to it in the end and lets Chloe continue being mean with amused fondness 

Glaciator takes LB’s maybe as a for sure yes, skips out on hanging out with his friends intentionally for his maybe date, acts out during the akuma attack, needing an apology first before he can get his act together 

Syren tries to bribe Plagg into telling him what he knows, also threatens to quit while Paris is flooded; doesn’t get a lecture for his and given what he wants 

Frozer thought it was a great idea to invite another girl on a date, unwittingly causing tension for the two and hurting Marinette’s feelings; also acts out against LB when she rejects him again. In the end is told that there is a girl ready and waiting for him if he ever wants to move on, also decides to continue pursuing LB with the belief that one day he’ll wear her down and change her mind 

Malediktator makes Marinette feel bad about Chloe leaving, even though he knows how much trouble Chloe causes and how much she can target Marinette; doesn’t make a move to contact Chloe and did allow Chloe to be mocked in class; doesn’t get in trouble or called out 

Chameleon tells Marinette to do nothing against Lila, even though he knows his friends are being lied to; doesn’t get in trouble and this mindset isn’t corrected 

As tries to kiss LB in Papa Garou, with this being post Glaciator, well aware that LB doesn’t view him romantically. 

Between the two, Marientte gets in trouble far more and gets to be called out and has to learn, even things she doesn’t need to learn or shouldn’t have been called out. Adrien though gets to get away with a lot, his issues never acknowledged and sometimes, has things offered to him on a silver platter. 

And then there’s Thomas Astruc’s tweet and his persistence in saying that Adrien is perfect. Take this one when being asked about their biggest flaws:

Its Marinette who needs to grow, Adrien though is fine, its the world that’s flawed. 

So, yes, I say ML is misogynistic. There are a lot of issues in how Marinette and Adrien are treated, and who we see a lot of rivalries with gender wise. And what some of those clashes are about and over (with Adrien coming up a lot in those clashes).

Day 3: Heroes and Villains

Felix couldn’t explain himself why he always ended up in these situations.

It always started like a normal day, sometimes it was just him with Marinette at school talking about different types of fabrics and styles or the homework of the day, other times it was him and Luka hanging out with Luka sometimes trying to teach him to play some instrument just to Felix fail resoundingly, at other times he and Kagami were discussing certain authors or works, and sometimes the four of them were enjoying their days off together.

Everything always started normal and pleasant, to the point where Felix managed to convince himself that it would be a quiet day without complications.

It was supposed to be a quiet date in the gardens of Paris, the four of them enjoying a picnic on a warm spring day.

And of course, his calm was destroyed when the Akuma of the week attacked.

Not so much for the Akuma itself. He, like all the citizens of Paris, was already used to them, it was just a matter of making sure not to leave friends / family, go to a safe place and wait for Mister Bug and Phantom Chat to defeat the Akuma and scare away Mayura and Viperion.

And that was the problem…

Every time an Akuma, it does not matter if he was with one, two or with his three lovers, they always managed to disappear without a trace.

And that left him, a simple civilian, the task of looking for them trying not to get the attention of the Akuma, because he definitely was not going to hide knowing that Luka, Kagami or Marinette (who had had serious health problems lately) are out there in danger.

But, despite his best intentions, he is still a simple civilian without superpowers, and go near an Akuma was asking for trouble.

Like now, he was hung upside down by a vine of purple flowers. Felix half distracted identified them as Ipomeas, remembering that Marinette was looking for some for her garden.

“I’m GardenKeeper! I will not allow anyone to destroy my beautiful gardens! “The Akumatized woman shouted, waving her hand creating more vines catching more people trying to take refuge.

From his precarious position Felix could see how the boys who had ruined a flower garden when they played the ball were in a position like him, only not on his head.

"Why is it that I’m just on my head?”

The Akuma continued with its monologue and trapped anyone found in its vines. Felix had to thank that at least they had no thorns.

“I will make all of Paris my beautiful Garden! Mister Bug, Phantom Chat, come so I can get your Mira-AGH! "She was interrupted when a fan crashed into her face.

Before Felix could know what was happening, he found himself being released from the vines and being carried away from the area.

"You really should be careful; this is already the sixth time we saved you from an Akuma.” Viperion smiled, golden eyes shining with a strange affection when he looked at Felix.

“Maybe I don’t need to be saved if you two and Hawkmonth just surrender.” The blond growled, clinging tightly to the villain.

Yes, he was clinging to a villain, and yes, Viperion was handsome, and no, Felix didn’t enjoy being carried like a damsel in distress, but he didn’t want to fall so it was better to cling to the villain’s neck, and no, he didn’t have a little crush on Viperion (or Mayura or Phantom Chat) thank you very much.

The snake let out a laugh, stopping on a roof far enough away from danger, but close enough to still see the Akuma.

A few seconds later Mayura joined them.

“This was our day off, there was not supposed to be an Akuma” commented the young villain, approaching her partner, who still didn’t release Felix, although Felix was not complaining either. Mayura’s blue eyes looked at him worried. “Are you okay, right? we really thought there would not be an Akuma today ”

“The old man must have got bored of being locked up without doing anything, and of course he decided to ruin our day” Viperion grunted, accommodating Felix in his arms and then smiling, a smile full of mischief that showed his fangs. “We could ruin his day too”

Mayura crossed her arms, trying to give a disapproving look at her partner, but the smile on her lips was a fun one. Felix could not help but smile as well, imagining Hawkmonth in any unfortunate situation.

“Oh? How could you two ruin the day of the person who is responsible to ruining the day of others?”

“I do not know, maybe making him spend quality time with his son?” Joked the snake-themed villain.

Before Mayura could say anything was interrupted by having to dodge the extendable baton of Phantom Chat that pointed to her face.

The heroine arrived like a furious storm, looking with daggers at the two villains. The playful atmosphere of the two villains dissolved instantly, both entering battle positions.

Viperion still would not let go, in fact, I hold him closer in his arms. Mayura prepared a pen to invoke a sentimentality.

Felix sighed, already accustomed to what was about to happen.

“But look who it is, the stray cat” Mayura laughed softly waving her fan in front of her face. “Should not you be helping the insect defeat the Akuma?”

“Not until you release that civilian” Phantom held her baton like a sword of fencing, in a position she took was quite familiar to Felix.

“What if we don’t want to?” Viperion’s voice came out in an angry hiss, squeezing Felix harder, to the point of being a bit painful.

Felix always ended up being rescued by one of the three miraculous users from the clutches of some Akuma.

Sometimes it was the pair of villains who rescued him, both flirting softly with Felix before leaving him somewhere safe.

Other times the blond was rescued by a very red Phantom Chat who always made sure he was not hurt before leaving.

And other times, as at this moment, the three miraculous users found him at the same time, and if Felix was not careful, he would end up in a fight, or with only the three of them insulting each other.

Sincerely Felix did not understand why these three seemed to have an obsession with him.

“Oh, it’s strange that Miss Sidekick was alone without the insect, you were finally replaced by the fox?”

“Oh, shut up snake, you’re just the sidekick of the sidekick”

“Rude!”

Felix thanked the heavens that his girlfriends and boyfriend never had such a childish disagreement.

CatBug AU head canon on what they love about Marinette, please?

Of course!

What Felix loves the most about her is that she’s sweet and friendly, but also knows boundaries. It can be very hard for Felix to open up to people, especially when they force him. Not once in the entire time he’s known Marinette has she ever forced him to do anything that was outside of his comfort zone.

Adrien loves Marinette’s moral compass. No matter what, she always does what’s right. He admires that about her very much. She’s very selfless; to the point where he has to sometimes sit her down and make sure she’s taking care of herself. Sure that may make him a hypocrite, but he loves her, back off.

Nathaniel loves her because she’s always nice to everyone no matter what.

Luka loves her because she’s cute as a button. Not in a demeaning way, of course. From the moment he met her, everything she’s done is somehow adorable to him.

Lila, Kagami, and Chloe love her for the same reason. With her, they don’t have to try. Their entire lives, everyone has told them they’re not good enough in some way. They’ve always had to wear a mask for people to try and impress their family. But Marinette sees right through those masks. For her, they are more than enough as they are. She loves them just the way they are.

If you haven’t heard yet, Swiss channel RTS Deux has released the episode names and synopses for the entire season 3! Translations below the cut! (And in the above images, for easy sharing lol)

English episode names are derived from this list (which I don’t remember ever actually seeing a source for, but uh... it was real!). 

Keep in mind that the numbers are not chronological order, they are in production order, which just means the order they were made in. Sometimes that helps with plot points, but for the most part it isn’t airtight. I highly recommend waiting until you’ve seen the whole season to make an approximate timeline.

Chameleon: Ladybug and Chat Noir battle Lila. Now Chameleon, she can take the appearance of anyone and hopes to use that to destroy Ladybug. 

Animaestro: Ladybug and Chat Noir battle a director. Now Animaestro, he wants to show the world what an animated movie director can do. 

This screencap from LatAm actor Jesus Barreda was thought to depict Marinette dressed as a maid at a pop culture convention, which... looks pretty likely considering the premise.

Bakerix (Boulangerix): Ladybug battles her own grandfather. Become Bakerix, he wants to destroy everything he thinks too modern to bring back Paris to his era. 

I broke it down in this ask, but it looks like my call was right about Bakerix being both Mari’s grandpa (perhaps still named Roland) and Gaul-inspired. “Boulanger” is literally French for “baker.”

Backwarder (Rebrousse-temps): Ladybug and Chat Noir battle a friend of Master Fu. Now Backwarder, she wants to reclaim her time and steals others’!

Heh. So glad this was technically an accurate translation. I’m also glad we got that official English ep list because trying to concisely convey “retracing-time” was gonna be a challenge.

Reflekdoll (Poupeflekta): Ladybug and Chat Noir battle Juleka, back as Reflekta. But this time, the supervillain isn’t alone...

“Poupée” is French for “doll.”

Weredad: Ladybug faces her father, akumatized as Weredad. This monstrous guard dog-man wants to shut away Marinette to protect her from the outside world!

Silencer (Silence): Ladybug and Chat Noir fight Luka, akumatized into Silencer. Ready to raise your voice?

Oni-Chan: Ladybug and Chat Noir battle Kagami, now Oni-Chan. Jealous of Lila, she wants to prevent her from getting near Adrien... forever!

@kisilinramblings I eat my entire foot. “Oni” is a Japanese demon, “chan” is a feminine honorific. Anyway, boy is Kagami vs. Lila a face-off I’m dying to see.

Miraculer (Miraculeur): Ladybug and her team fight Sabrina, who’s now Miraculer.

I can’t even comprehend what this episode will contain with this vague of a description. “Team” tho???

Oblivio: A villain appears in Paris and Ladybug and Chat Noir lost their memory! Can they defeat Oblivio so he’s nothing more than a bad memory?

Desperada: Ladybug and her team face Desperada, an akumatized guitarist. A rock-and-roll day in store for our heroes!

The adjectives mean that she’s female, fyi. With music and the episode code 311, I wonder if there’s a certain miraculous we might see...?

Chris Master (Maître Noël): Nino’s little brother is akumatized into Chris Master. Ladybug and Chat Noir can’t get wrapped up if they want to stop him!

I was wondering why it sounded like a pun on “Christmas.” Literally the synopsis said they’d “be given as gifts,” as though Chris can turn them into presents or something.

Startrain: Ladybug and Chat Noir face Max’s mom, who becomes Startrain. Our heroes will need help to stop her! 

Another big team-up? We’ve also seen art of Startrain before. Makes sense that Max’s mom is the one in charge, seeing the cool robots on the train. Max had to get it from somewhere!

Kwami Buster (Chasseuse de Kwamis): Ladybug and Chat Noir face Mrs. Mendeleiev, now Kwami Buster.

Does this remind anyone else of fairy hunter Mr. Crocker?

Feast (Festin): When Master Fu’s past comes back to haunt him, he removes the Miraculouses from Marinette and Adrien to protect them...

Gamer 2.0: Ladybug and Chat Noir face Max, now Gamer 2.0. Let the game begin!

Yep, the original title had 2.0, and it looks like they’re sticking with “2” for the sequel names. Oh well.

Stormy Weather 2 (Climatika 2): Ladybug and Chat Noir face Aurore Boréale again, now Stormy Weather 2. To stop her, the heroes need to keep their cool!

Ikari Gozen: Kagami’s mother is akumatized into Ikari Gozen and wants to punish Kagami, who disobeyed her. Will Ladybug save her best frenemy?

From what I can tell, the name means “Lady Fury.” It just says “best enemy” but I wanted to make the pun clearer. Glad we get to see her in an ep!

Timetagger: Ladybug and Chat Noir fight Timetagger, a supervillain that came from the future to seize their miraculous. The future of Paris is in their hands!

A mysterious male supervillain, maybe even from the future? W-what

Party Crasher (Trouble-Fête): Ladybug and her team face Wayem, now Party Crasher. Will our heroes get him to smile?

The Puppeteer 2 (La Marionnettiste 2): Ladybug and Chat Noir face the Puppeteer at the Musée Grévin! Our heroes can’t wax off if they want to stop her!

...there was originally a pun on “staying marble” which means “to be impassive/emotionless.” I’m sure there’s a better idiom I can’t think of at the moment. Anyway, the lucky duo are in the famous wax museum in real life, so it was about time that we got it in an episode. 

Chat Blanc: Ladybug faces the last person she could believe to be capable of getting akumatized... Chat Noir!

Yes, this is real. No, they didn’t steal your fanfics. It was a pretty obvious/intuitive concept. That’s why it’s so ubiquitous. 

Félix: Ladybug and Chat Noir face Alya, Rose and Juleka, akumatized into the Trio of Punishers, and Felix, Adrien’s cousin.

Wow! A blast from the past! You can read my old summary of who he is here, if you didn’t know. After years, he’s finally canon. Also, this is one of the first episodes since Sapotis where we see multiple people get akumatized with the same akuma. This will be a fun ep for sure!

Ladybug: Marinette gets expelled, but an even greater problem awaits: she must face a sentimonster in the shape of... Ladybug!

Uh oh....I used my brain again....get ready lol

DISCLAIMER: I’m going to try VERY HARD to make all this comprehensive and understandable, promise. But when my wheels are turning this fast lol I have a VERY bad habit of not being able to keep up with my own thoughts so please be patient with me as I make an attempt to translate what all is going through my head at hyper speed lol so sorry in advance. Also, for clarity reasons, discussed romantic approaches between adrien and marinette are rated on a scale of 0-100.

OK, so.

That metaphor of how kagami is like a mirror (I mean, I know kagami means mirror or whatever but that’s not what I’m talking about). Ok, well I think it applies to both of them (luka AND kagami) in a literal way. Hear me out.

First: kagami and adrien. Kagami is very strong in her approach when it comes to romance (or anything in general). Very headstrong and blunt, she won’t hide how she feels or what she thinks in any circumstances, right? Now adrien isn’t necessarily that way BUT chat noir is. His approach with ladybug was very....what’s the word....tenacious lol poor thing. He never gave up, which as adorable and as loyal as it sounds to us - the fandom, came off very strong and was received kinda poorly by ladybug to be kinda aggressive I guess? NOT SAYING HE WAS HARASSING HER BECAUSE HE WASN’T! He just didn’t want to lose hope because he was CONVINCED that him and his lady were made for each other MUCH LIKE KAGAMI and her feelings regarding adrien. So, given as of late, ladybug is really the only girl he has fully and openly flirted with. I think that, as he gets closer to kagami, he will at some point take note of her really kinda protective and territorial(?) personality. Like I’m not gonna lie, it comes really close to adriens father and his raising...possessive and territorial  because again, they were raised the same way (NOT SAYING KAGAMI IS LIKE GABRIEL BECAUSE HE IS LITERAL GARBAGE, I AM IN NO WAY SAYING THAT KAGAMI IS TRASH, EVEN THOUGH I’M NOT A FAN PERSONALLY, I WOULDN’T SAY THAT BECAUSE IT’S SIMPLY NOT TRUE) I have mentioned before that their similar raising and domestic circumstances is really something they can bond over, as they should so it will boost their relationship in a friendly way no doubt, but I think that it will likely be their downfall in a romantic way. Allow me to explain...

Yes, her social issues are because of her raising, I understand that. BUT, her raising only accounts for about half of her personality in my opinion, but I’m no psychology expert mind you. I say it accounts for half because her mom is quite clearly the same way so obviously to some degree, it’s also boils down to genetics (again, MY OPINION). Her mom is strict, blunt, strong willed and has such a confidence that it comes off as egotistical (AGAIN, NO HATE INTENDED, DON’T @ ME! BEING HONEST!) Kagami has made some improvements, I will agree with that and I also agree that she has every capability to continue to improve. However....will she ever not be the way she’s known to be? Cut and dry, strong willed and blunt? No. Why? Genetics. It’s the personality she was born with, she just wasn’t done any favors by the way she was raised, which made it worse and made her evidently unlikable and hard to relate to, thus her having no social life or social skills.

Back to adrien. He will take note of how kagami’s approach to romance can be very off putting and intense, seeing how it can rub people the wrong way. I think he will hopefully make the connection in his head, as in he will see how and why chat noir was not successful in his attempts with ladybug, and having an understanding of ladybugs perspective for a change. He will see this and recognize that style of romantic approach isn’t a good fit for him, given how gentle adrien can be on the contrary to chat noir (who yes, is gentle and just as sensitive but is FAR MORE open and flirtatious), and will then make an effort to maybe not just slow his flirting approach from a strong 100 down to a 50 but also see how since he has so many romantic loose ends emotionally, he will continue to insist that he is NOT ready for a relationship given the emotional wreck that is his heart (or at least in my opinion, he should insist because...logic lol, don’t know how else to put it). I mean understand, he has such intense love for ladybug that won’t go away, feelings for kagami that I’m personally not really convinced are romantic (at least, not on his part), and we all know the underlying feelings he has for marinette that he is doomed to have to face sometime soon. It will be nothing short of chaotic, that’s for sure.

To sum up for adrien, kagami will be his mirror for his past romantic approaches as chat noir and will decide to tone it down a bit or just pause completely after seeing the flaws that come with it. But still, it will knock him down from say 100 (give or take) to more like a 50.

Still with me? OK...half way there lol

Second: marinette and luka. Luka is definitely interested in marinette, don’t get me wrong. It’s pretty evident. HOWEVER, as interested as he has shown to be romantically via those couple of times with marinette, literally every other time luka and marinette have interacted, it’s been like 95% friendly, or at least, IT COMES OFF THAT WAY** (hold that thought ok? Remember that). So Luka reads as a confusing character for me because, yes he has made it clear that he likes marinette via small, less intimidating approaches, but he still otherwise kinda comes off to me as also somewhat....disinterested(?)(for lack of a better word). What I mean is this, he said nice things in silencer and felix, I agree with that too, but really that’s all he has done pretty much lol if we’re honest. Like marinette, his romantic approaches however meaningful and sweet they were, were still very few and far between. Otherwise, it’s been seemingly a completely friendly relationship, which THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH (DON’T @ ME OK?). That’s what I mean when I say that he comes off as interested and somewhat disinterested at the same time. Like, to me, it’s this kinda vibe: if you like me, cool / if you don’t like me, cool lol. That’s what I mean when I say disinterested, as in, he could go either way (either being with marinette or not) and he be completely cool with it and HE HAS CONFIRMED THIS in felix. It’s confusing to marinette because he’s not really vying for her attention which explains why she said in the marinette on luka video, that she can’t stop thinking about her feelings for adrien, even with luka (I mean duh, I know those feelings are also never gonna go away) BECAUSE luka’s approach isn’t bold enough in my book to really capture more of marinettes romantic attention like it kinda needs to if lukanette is gonna happen. Does that make sense? God I hope so lol.

Like adrien with kagami, I think marinette will take notes on lukas approach to be like her mirror, seeing how somewhat ineffective it can be. She will see the flaws in her approach however gentle, tender and non-threatening it may be, it just isn’t bold enough to really advocate for herself romantically like we all know she deserves. Like I said earlier, that kind of approach can come off as CONFUSING and mainly FRIENDLY** (there’s the thought I told you to hold onto). That would explain why adrien got mixed messages from marinette, one day he thinks they good friends (*facepalm*) and then the next, she seems so standoffish (granted, mainly from her nerves, unlike luka) that it kinda comes off as, again, DISINTERESTED (the same meaning written above still applies, not really giving adrien solid/ definitive signals either way) again, much like luka. 

She will note all of this and maybe realize that she needs to be a little bolder in her approach in order to properly stand up for herself romantically. She will learn that, yes she has made bold attempts with adrien (*applause*) and will also hopefully see how she may have counteracted them with some not so flattering and/ or just flat out standoffish actions. She needs to learn how to hold her ground and allow herself to be an clear option for someone romantically via not hiding her feelings (like her mom said, never apologize for how you feel) and by being very clear with her feelings from the get go for someone, as in it not being one day essentially, “I like you” to the next day being like, “What? No, I don’t like you. That’s crazy lol.” We have seen MANY examples of that, again it explains adriens mixed signals from marinette. She needs to learn how to let her and her feelings be COMPLETELY CLEAR AND VISIBLE so she doesn’t end up disregarded, confusing and walked all over like a doormat (poor baby, it’s true though). She needs to own her worth and her confidence. SHE NEEDS TO FEEL VALID AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND ADRIEN TOO.

This will essentially encourage marinette to take more risks romantically and to have trust and confidence in herself that she is worthy of love and she is very much worthy to be with who she wants to be with. It will bring her up from say a 0(-ish, like lets be honest, aside from a few certain instances, as far as her outwardly vying for adrien, it has been just her and the crickets lol) to a 50 like adrien.

See where I’m going with this?

With both marinette and adrien both at a 50, as in they both found a balanced and healthy romantic approach/ view on romance in general, they will finally be able to literally meet each other half way romantically. Does that make sense? Let me put it this way if it helps: 50 + 50 = 100?

Marinette taking more risks and having faith in her worth, adrien slowing down and analyzing his heart, also knowing his worth, it will set a solid and clear path for the both of them to meet each other half way romantically, finally. Thus paving the way for the lovesquare to implode/ reverse/ resolve...whatever and then setting up for the movie that is seemingly revolving around ladynoir and their love for each other which will then lead to a reveal (hopefully).
