Random: Gwen has concerningly good handwriting. You'd swear she's writing a font. Very clear, very concise, a little closer to uniform than is normal. Between being herself and her mom being her mom, she's practiced a lot.

In contrast, Ben's is a little sloppier. Not like illegible levels, but his letters tend to bunch up or even sort of merge together so it can take a minute, especially if he's been rushing. He also tends to angle downwards when he writes so his words tend to just sort of, slip off the line more and more the longer they are.

Helen, meanwhile, is much more of a scrawl. When she's writing in print it's not uniform, spacing is variable, size is variable, but when she's writing in cursive all bets are off, nothing is sacred. Her writing implement will not leave the paper, partially just a personal quirk and partially because of the superspeed thing. You can tell her writing on a page from most anyone else's because even when she's moving to a new line she swipes across the page rather than pick shit up and move down there.

Alan is better, but still not great. His words tend to fade out, they'll start perfectly fine and then as they get longer will degrade into a loose semi-scrawl. They're at least nicely spaced and stay on line though. His signature, meanwhile, may as well come put of a doctor's office- presumably there's at least one letter per name but good luck finding it. Good luck getting it to be the same twice, too.

Cooper's handwriting is an absolute mess, mostly because it's been a long time since he's had to actually write something down on paper rather than type it out. Can't do cursive, print is legible but iffy, consistency does not exist. If he leaves you a note it's a coin toss whether you'll make it out fine or have to call him and ask what the fuck he was trying to say.

Kevin, again, does better, in that his writing is consistent and legible, but it has a similar problem to what I give him so far as accent in that leaving Earth so young and wandering so long has sorta pushed things out of alignment. The way he writes letters can be, odd, sometimes. Be writing 'the' and muscle memory will have him put a fucking Khoron letter than looks kinda sorta like an 'h' in place of the 'h', that sort of thing. Sometimes run letters or words together, again on muscle memory or because his brain skipped for a second.

Manny's, on the other hand. Manny has some nice fucking handwriting. It's legible, it's neat, very loose and swoopy in a way in a way that's a bit too ornamental to be elegant, but not quite enough to fall out of the range of 'classy'. Like Gwen he's practiced with it a lot, but unlike Gwen it wasn't out of a need for perfection but instead just because he was having fun. And also a bit of 'people will want my signature one day' back when he was small. He does tend to write large, he'll take up two lines per line on a sheet of paper easy, but he's like 7 foot tall and built like a fridge, we can give him that.

Jin huffs quietly, shooting you a glare with no malice. He flops back on the couch and turns his back on you. If you don’t want his kisses, that’s fine...he doesn’t care if he kisses you or not anyway...(except he totally does.) You kneel by his side and press a kiss to his temple as an apology. He doesn’t budge until you give him a few more. He drives a hard bargain when it comes to you.

Tohma is very observant. He sees the sneaky grin on your face before you even know it’s there. And so, he doesn’t play along, figuring that if you aren’t serious, why should he be? Tohma turns his attention back to the chess board, deciding to playfully ignore you until you opt to give him your affection. He does love teasing you, I fear!

Luca quickly apologies, backing away from you. He didn’t mean to startle you! He just wanted to kiss you, but if you don’t want it that’s totally fine! He’ll ask next time, okay? Luca will make sure he hasn’t made you uncomfortable, so please reassure him!! He’s no fun to pull these pranks on because now you just feel guilty :(

Kaito freaks the fuck out. He’s on his knees, screaming and crying and begging you to tell him what he’s done wrong. HE HAS NO CHILL! In his defense, he thrives on your attention and affection, so if you don’t tell him it’s a joke it will eat away at him for...looks at my watch...probably the rest of his life!

Alan doesn’t want to push you. He assumes you’re not in the mood for his affection and shrugs it off, going about his day. He easily has one of the last interesting reactions. He’ll just give you a kiss later when he assumes you’re “feeling better.” Alan genuinely just wants the best for you and if you’re not up to kissing, that’s fine. He loves you. <3

Sho gets enough teasing from Leo, although it’s not of this nature of course. Even though it’s you, who he actually loves, don’t expect him to play along that easily. He kinda just sighs and gives you a really? look before continuing what he was doing. Sho might act like it doesn’t amuse him, but seeing your sneaky smile has him smiling, too.  He’s only soft for you <3 (and Bonnie.)

Leo knows exactly what you’re playing at. He’s around on the internet! Knowing full well there’s a camera somewhere, he grabs your wrist and pulls you closer, kissing you right on the mouth before pulling away with a smug “see you later, honor roll!” The more flustered he leaves you, the better it is for the camera.

Haru takes a second to process the horrors you have just inflicted upon him. The second it clicks that you dodged his affection, he’s on his knees begging you to tell him what’s wrong. He’s so confused! Haru doesn’t know what he’s done wrong to earn your ire! Did he make a mistake? Did he not say he loved you loud enough! He’ll scream it for the whole world to hear from now on!

Towa whines. He stomps his feet and pouts and stares straight into your soul. Soulmates don’t deny soulmates kisses unless there’s something wrong. So what’s wrong? Who does he have to fry? Just say the word, Dandelion, and he will! It’s very easy to work Towa up, especially when it comes to matters of the heart, so do be kind to him!

Ren thinks crawling into a hole and dying would be preferable to what just occurred. He usually isn’t one to initiate affection, and now he feels utterly humiliated by it. Do you hate him? Are his lips chapped? Ughhh, why is he even worrying, kissing is dumb anyway. He doesn’t need it. Poor Ren will erase ANY progress the two of you have made into getting him to be more affectionate if you don’t explain it to him!

Taiga has two moods. Either he doesn’t give a shit and will shrug and go about his day, or he’ll narrow his eyes and give you one chance to give him a smooch before he tackles you. It’s playfully of course, he does love you even if he may seem too unhinged for that sort of thing, but that only means you’ll be smothered in more of his aggressive affection.

Romeo knows this is one of your silly little mind games and he isn’t having it. Fine then! You want to deny his affection, let’s see how long you last without him! Good luck, he isn’t so much as touching you from now on, until you cave and apologize with an “Oh Fico, how could I ever deny your touch!”

Ritsu is taken aback by this unexpected behavior. He asked you for a kiss, you gave him your verbal consent, and how you have dodged? He stares at you, confused and flustered. He even replays the voice recorder to make sure you actually did agree to have your cheek kissed. “Ahem, is there a misunderstanding?” he asks you, “I was under the impression that my affection was consented to, but if it wasn’t, please be more clear in the future.”

Subaru turns bright red and averts his eyes, murmuring a soft apology in your general direction. Really, he’s just so embarrassed he wants the ground to open up and swallow him whole. He’s smiling on the outside, but very much dying on the inside. Please be nice to him :( I don’t think you could recover from the guilt of teasing him like that!

Haku knows your game, and he’ll play it. The smile you’re so obviously trying to hide only encourages him. He lifts your wrist to his mouth and kisses your pulse point, locking his eyes onto yours. “C’mon, princess, what’s wrong?” he asks, giving you his classic soft flirtatious look, “Why aren’t you letting me love you, huh?”

Zenji already has his eyes closed and is leaning in for the smooch! He only opens them when he meets nothing but air and your charming grin. Oh, you’re so devilish! Zenji swoops you up into his arms and peppers your face and neck with butterfly kisses until you can’t stop laughing. He’ll never stop until you promise to kiss him back!

Edward seems to have predicted this. He follows the direction in which you swerve, capturing your lips anyway. He has the audacity to laugh at you when you don’t pull away, giving in to his ministrations. Edward only stops when you’re breathless, booping your nose when he sees your displeased expression. The next time you attempt to give him a kiss, he’ll dodge you too.

Rui laughs way too loudly and backs up from you almost immediately, crossing his arms over his chest. You can tell he’s hurt but trying to hide it, instead directing his concerns to you. You almost cry from guilt and pull him into kiss after kiss after kiss. You do not stop until he has been sufficiently loved on.

Lyca just keeps following you. He’ll try again if you keep dodging before getting frustrated and asking for clarification. He thought you liked it when he kissed you, so why are you dodging? He has no real concept of social cues, so if he wants to do something he’ll just do it...and he wants to kiss you.

Yuri jumps away from you immediately and starts yelling about how he wasn’t trying to kiss you! He was just...having a back spasm! Yeah, that’s it! He wasn’t going for something as embarrassing as a kiss. You must be very full of yourself to assume such a thing, even if you are dating! (Pssst...this is when you cup his cheek and stare into his eyes and call him handsome <3 reduce him to a puddle of flustered Yuri!)

Jiro recovers quickly. He murmurs a soft sorry and continues about his day like nothing happened. This little joke definitely does not affect him much, but don’t doubt his love for you! If you do, he’ll notice that you’ve been avoiding him and he will bring it up with you. Jiro is more than willing to give you affection again...all you have to do is say the word.

Okay, since i haven't seen anyone talk about it, I am going to.

We have a list of what Hyde says about each of the houses, stereotypes, and what each of the doorms do

Frosthime: "you value success, you're self-confident and relentless in pursuit of your goals"

Rich people are often placed here because they were born into success and have an easy time getting it, their confidence probably has been less likely to be challenged due to their position in life, and the relentless pursuit of their goals because its easier to do so when you have the money for it.

Jin: absolutely fits into this in every way. He is the epitome of success with being a highly influential figure and can pull strings to get anyone to do what he wants. He has the confidence in himself but doesn't trust those around him besides Thoma (mostly). He absolutely makes sure that his goals are achieved no matter what and looks into things when he feels something is up (ie. Chapter 1)

Thoma: Yes, he was originally in Vagastrom, but he does fit perfectly here, too. You can tell just by the way he acts and talks that he has a lot of self-confidence, he doesn't doubt himself or his abilities, if he fails he just changes what is needed and tries again. He absolutely works for success, no matter what it is or how shady it is. He clearly has a goal in mind and has been relentless about it.

Lucas: The first thing we learn about him is that he wants to find a demon. He has been relentless about it since the start and that he needs to find one to be able to save his brother. He absolutely believes in himself. He knows he has things to work on, but that doesn't hold him back. He keeps working on his weaknesses so that he WILL succeed, there is no room for failure.

Kaito: The way we have seen his talk to others in Frosthime, he blends in really well. He may not have monetary, relationship, or academic success, but he succeeds sotially in the environment he is in. He needs to work on his self-confidence a lot, and that is something that holds him back in battle and in other places, too. He is very stubborn with things. He wants to make money and pay off his debt to Romeo, so gambling is easily something he fell into to try to relentlessly pursue that.

Yuri: This man is about success in every way. He needs to succeed in Mortkraken and be better than Darkwick General. His confidence? Absolutely explosive and has a body count. This man overworks himself all the time to finish his goals. If that isn't relentless, tell me what is.

Haku: he is obviously self-confident, you kinda have to be to be so shamlessly flirty. He is aimless for the most part and would rather play a supportive role in other people's lives than take over himself. His goals are the goals of those he cares about, and he makes sure that the work is done

Vagastrom: you value ideals, you're mission oriented, and direct your efforts to reform and innovation

The stryotype is Vagastrom is filled with delinquents, which makes sense. 'Delinquents' are people who often don't fit into the world as it is and are trying to do something about it, even though it comes our violently. They can come from fractured homes, be victims of abuse, be of minorities, and other things. The systems in place are making their situations stay the same or even worse, and none else will stand up for them, so they have to.

Alan: history of Delinquitism, he absolutely holds his ideals close and wants to make a change for the better after experiencing the system first hand. He absolutely makes sure those around him (aka Leo) are focious on the mission and get it done. He is more directed to reformation and wants to be better and wants those around him to be better too and holds a high standard for that, but makes sure it is reachable (specifically Sho)

Leo: Mmm, beloved little shit. This man has made the law his bitch. He goes after those in power who are corrupt and scams them out of power, showing his ideals. He is mission oriented in the way that he is very smart and good with tech and how to work things sotally (on a broad scale, not so much interpersonally). He is leaning toward innovation and change. He likes to challenge what's already in place and constantly makes bets with Sho. I also believe his curiosity about other Ghouls and why they made their pacts with demons is another thing to add to this

Sho: his ideals, specifically around food, are very strict. In simple words, don't mess with food, and you're in his good books. His passion for food even led to him opening up a food stall that is clearly popular and shows that innovation and reformation. He helps Leo scam those with power and abuse it. He is a good balance between Leo and Mido, although he isn't one for being a leader, he is more of a follower, but that doesn't mean he won't stand up for himself or his beliefs (ch 2 with lessening the emotional damage that could have happend to MC. Ch 11 with fighting the inmates and arguing with Mido)

Thoma(again): he was originally in this house, so we should see why that is. He is clearly mission oriented. He gets the job done when needed. He works with Mido on reforming the relationship between Vagastrom and Frosthime. His values are set in stone, and he holds to them (ep 1 when he doesn't out Jins secret)

Jabberwok: You value trust, are caring, and are loyal in all your endeavors

Jabberwok is an anomalous zoo. Only Ghouls can be a part of this house.

Haru: This man is such a mystery to me. Most of Jabberwok is tbh. He absolutely does have a lot of care for the anomalies and even calls them his babies. The house is probably underfunded, so he made it into a zoo to get funding so that the anomalies can be treated as good as possible. He trusts Ren and Towa will do what they need to and helps out if something goes wrong

Towa: He absolutely values trust and is very loyal to Haru (even when upset at him). His opinion of you is clear depending on what plant he calls you (I love the idea he called Haru Sunflower before eventually calling him Haru). He absolutely cares about those he considers his friends (ie. Haru and MC)

Ren: On the surface, it looks like a mistake for him to be here. He clearly hates it. He whines and moans the whole way through it. But, these can be placed in any situation, not just in the zoo. He probably does value trust. It just needs to be earned first, and in some way, he probably does trust Haru, just not explicitly. He absolutely cares about Calamri in literally every way that he has treated him. He just couldn't say goodbye.

Sinostra: you value challenge, you're powerful and decisive

Siinostra has a casino that is run by the two captains (mainly Romeo)

Taiga: Yes. He loves a challenge, a challenge in anything you throw at him, and if it's not enough of one, he makes it more of one. He is clearly powerful, sotally, probably economically, and more. He can be decisive when it comes to things. The only thing that can sway that is his own memory.

Romeo: Challenge? Running a casino, literally hunting down debtors, and working with Taiga. That's all a challenge that he takes on with fucking g l e e. He is powerful sotally and physically, once economy. This man is super decisive and will hardly bend what he has decided on.

Rui: he wants to be the paralegal for either Taiga, Romeo, or BOTH, so clearly, that's a big challenge that he is searching out and relentless in. He is the definition of knowledge is power, and he records everything he does daily. The law is there for a reason, and he is there to make sure it was put to use properly.

Hotarubi: You value creativity, individuality is important to you, and you celebrate differnce

Subaru: he worked all of his life in a very creative feild, he cheers on Sho's cooking and supports him there are a friend, and he leads this house of course, he values creativity. Lyca, he absolutely adores his friend and hates that darkwick had him locked away. He supports Lyca in his goals and who he is as a person.

Haku: he absolutely is there to support anyone he cares about, it's clearly seen in Zenji and MC. He supports her and gets her back with the Frosthime boys, he films Zenji's work and posts it and does whatever he needs him to do.

Zenji: Everything about him screams this. He is a very creative poet and musician, wishing to share it with the world even after death. He doesn't want Jiro to know that he is still there so that he can continue to grow and not have to hold onto him and the past. He absolutely adores a doll that is a bit creepy because it reminds him of Jiro.

Obscuray: you value Harmony, You're peace loveing, and open minded

This is the doorm that only has half human ghouls and cursed. Rui runs a bar made from anonymous plants that grow there.

Edward: he absolutely wishes that there could be harmony, but experience and his sixth sence has taught him that that isn't likely to happen(implied in chapter 10). He likes it when things are peaceful around the doorm, so he can just rest. Besides, peace is a better option than what he can do. He absolutely wants to be proven wrong. Please prove him wrong. He gave MC a chance to join him, to not have to suffer, but she says no.

Rui: it's clear that he is suffering because of his curse and doesn't take any pleasure or joy in killing with it. He is much more against it than anything. He helps Lyca in getting used to human customs and how to act to assimilate. He cleans up Ed's things, sure he complains about it, but he doesn't make it into a fight. He is open to a lot of things and is very go with the flow

Lyca: his main one for this is harmony, specifically with humans and those he cares about. With that harmony comes peace and safety. He is also a little open minded to what he needs to do and it isn't too hard to convince him to do things

Mortkraken: you value intelligence, you're insightful, and you can observe objectively

Mortkraken is a medical facility that students can go to

Yuri: Of course, he values intelligence, specifically his, but it's still intelligence. He may be competitive when it comes to his research, but he can take a step back and look at things and situations objectively (chapter 8), clearly insightful as well since it's what the situation that MC helps him with stems from the knowledge and research he is doing, he helps Sinostra in the next chapter aswell

Jiro: yes? That all just describes Jiro

Everyone was surprised when they found out you and Jin had been dating. They had assumed that Jin would have found you annoying, and that's how it was when he first met you.

Jin found your reactions to the gifts he gives you adorable, as you say you’ll treasure them forever. He does tease you a bit about it though.

He didn’t even know how strong you were, until you carried him out of his room with no effort. Now Tohma asks you for help in getting him out.

Jin lets you indulge and eat all you want, he has the money for it after all. If you want him to eat with you, or just want him to hang out with you while you do, he will.

He does find your airheadedness a bit annoying, and a bit cute as well. 

While you are more affectionate than he is, he's enjoying what you give. Hugs, cuddles, kisses, everything he's willing to take from you.

Luca was still a bit shocked that he was dating you. You were so kind and sweet to everyone, that he didn’t know if you liked him at first.

He's a bit surprised when you compliment him at first, but he grows to really enjoy them.

Luca occasionally gives you gifts, and he loves that you love them.

When he finds out how strong you were during training, he falls deeper in love. He asks you to train more often.

He was even shocked at how good you were with fighting, and that you took down an anomaly by yourself.

Luca finds your eating habits endearing. He sits and talks to you while you do. It's the highlight of his week.

When he hears that you’re looking for a husband while you’re there, he's a bit shy, especially when he hears that you’re looking for a gentleman.

Luca loves affection, he's mostly a behind closed door kind of person, save for a few kisses and handholding. He loves cuddling you and giving you kisses, though it's only when you’re hanging out in your room or his.

He finds you annoying at first, and he still kind of does.

He teases you about your innocent and airhead personality.

He loves getting showered by the compliments you give him, and he lives for them.

He's using your kindness to do whatever he wants. He has you take him places to eat, and even makes you wear whatever he wants.

He gives you stuff occasionally, and he’s a bit astonished that you keep it and treasure it.

He is a bit astounded by your strength, especially when you arm wrestled a Vagastorm student and won. He is using that to flaunt you on his social media.

He’s so into you fighting though, he thinks about it every night. Most of it is you defending him against another student.

He is poking a bit of fun at you for how much you eat, but he really doesn’t mean it. If you end up crying from it, he's giving you affection to make you feel better.

He does tease you about your wish at finding a husband, but he's all giddy that it's him who you’re talking about.

Leo is so into affection he's practically attached to your hip. His hand is intertwined with yours, and he's placing kisses on your lips and cheeks. He's shameless about receiving your affection.

Sho gives you lots of food and gifts, since it's still a habit from Leo. He's shocked that you keep and treasure all the little trinkets he gives you.

He finds your strength very hot, especially when you can beat most of the students in the Pit.

He's also in wonder whenever you fight anomalies, cause you’re so amazing at it.

Subaru loves eating with you, even giving you his share if you still feel hungry.

Alan would be worried that something happened at first. He would get Sho to call MC and see if they were alright.

He wouldn't catch on until sometime later when they were at the garage and he asked them to grab him a tool that he left in the other room, while he worked on a car.

He would hear them walk away. He'd wait patiently, wondering if maybe they didn't know what the tool he asked for looked like. After a few minutes of silence he would slide out from under the car and find them doing something else. When they explained that they forgot as soon as they came into the room. It all clicked.

He'll actually be pretty patient with them. He understands what its like to not be the best at something (like him and tech) so he won't yell or get pissy when they forget something.

He'll drop a gentle reminder any time he sees them, especially if its something important like medication or an important appointment.

SHOHEI HAIZONO "SHO"

Sho will at first think something happened. He'll shoot them a quick text to ask where the hell they are. And when they tell him he forgot he'll roll his eyes and remind them.

With a brother like his (iykyk) he's used to that sort of thing, so it doesn't bother him too much.

The only time it will genuinely piss him off is if MC forgot that he was making food and they go out to eat. Like they grabbed fast food when he already made dinner.

I HC Sho as someone who hates wasting good food. So if there's one way to piss him off its that.

He wouldn't snap at MC but he would give them a bit of a lecture before a short while of silent treatment. Its not just about the food though. Its about the fact that he put so much effort into something and they just forgot.

Once he learned that it was kinda who they were he'll be more forgiving but he'll still get pissed.

LEO KUROSAGI

Okay Leo is petty when it first happens. If Sho gives them a littl a while of silent treatment, Leo will straight up act like they don't exist until they've either apologized with starbies or he's satisfied.

Once he learns its not their fault, he'll still be petty but he'll set alarms on their phone. He isn't going to spam call or text them. That's super desperate and ugly in his opinion (even if he wants to)

Leo is one of those guys who will stay mad if they forgot. The only time he won't is if it was an emergency (like they're dead)

Our boi Luca doesn't get mad. He gets a little one track minded himself (obviously) she he's always patient with MC.

He'll pick up on it faster than Alan though, thats for sure. He'll give them gentle reminders every now and then and try to keep them on track when they're together.

If he's not with them he'll send them texts about what they may have to do. If they asked him to he'd even try to find ways to help: giving them a list, reminding them, setting alarms, etc.

He can't lie that it does upset him a little when they forget about dates or important things, but he tries not to take it personally. That and he'll tell MC how he's feeling and why.

Kid Dark and Chosen au

I blame @i3utterflyeffect and all their awesome aus for infecting me with au making disease. I wrote the majority of this back in December in a haze of inspired mania but didn’t have the drive to finish it until now.

Au where when Dark and Chosen escape and do their attack on Newgrounds they’re like, children. Probably around 8 years old. Their young age combined with Chosen suffering from some effects caused from being in a box for most of his life (I refuse to believe that he didn’t have any lingering injuries/muscular atrophy from that) leads to them being captured and restrained during the Newgrounds attack just after Mitsi and Agent get zapped to the area.

However, due to how varied sticks are the only way to really tell how old a stick is, is by observing how they act/talk or putting them through some scan that can read that information from their code. Considering Chosen is refusing to speak and Dark is just swearing and spitting threats (he kept biting through the gags they put on him) no one at Newgrounds was aware that they were children.

Mitsi and Agent get a good look at the two terrorists and both notice how similar they look to Victim. Mitsi offers to hold them at Rocket Corp. Partly because they really do look like they could be related to Victim, but mostly because, with the animation tools Vic took from Alan, they’d have the best chance at making restraints that would work on the two.

Considering the restraints on them were already starting to decay and there not really being any other option, the other animations agree.

So Mitsi goes back through the internet portal first and tells Victim that Agent and the others are alright and that they need a way to contain 2 very powerful sticks pronto. She also tells him about how they look similar to him which Victim doesn’t really give much thought to since he’s more worried about making working restraints. Victim goes and draws, I don’t know, some super powerful power nullifying cuffs or something. Dark and Chosen, who are brought back alongside Agent, get the new cuffs slapped on them as soon as they touch down at RC.

And well, damn. Now that Victim is looking at them they really do have a lot of similar features to him. But obviously it’s all just a weird coincidence, there’s lots of sticks out there, some of them are going to look similar to each other.

Anyway neither of the kids are talking at this point, Dark is just growling and baring his (very sharp) teeth and Chosen is still silent. Since neither of them are willing to talk Victim does a scan on both of them trying to find out who they are or any other information on them. showing that, surprise, they were made be Alan and are Victims siblings and also that they are actually children and not just small adults. It also shows all the health problems that Chosen and Dark have.

Chosen’s code, alongside all the side effects of being in the box for so long, shows the remains of a popup blockers code. Dark’s code still has that Eliminate The Chosen One command in it, though it seems to be temporarily deactivated

And now there’s a whole bunch of new problems. Firstly Alan is still making stick figures. Victim, understandably, is kinda terrified by that. But it only takes one question about their animator for Dark to snarl that they weren’t going back there and even if they tried to send them back, they’d completely and irreparably destroyed the computer they were made on.

“You… you were made by Noogai.”

At this, the black one, The Chosen One, flinched and the red one, The Dark Lord, jerked as though he was going to lunge at Victim, Agent’s hand twitching on his weapon.

“You can’t send us back to him!” he snarled, “You can’t, we clawed our way outta his pc and blew up the whole thing on the way!” He bared his teeth in a sharp grin “There’s nothing left of it, it was blue screened and everything.”

The terror that had gripped Victim faltered. “You… blue screened Noogai’s PC.”

“Yeah! And we’ll do it to this stupid place too! Just you wait we’ll get out of these stupid cuffs and then this place -“

“You weren’t the only one to claw your way out of his PC. I just didn’t have the strength to blow it up when I did”

That seemed to stop The Dark Lord in his tracks as he blinked in startled confusion. But before he could say anything-

“How did you escape?”

The Chosen One had finally decided to talk.

He frowned, “When did you escape? I never saw you on the PC when I was - active” His voice was quite and calm.

Victim inhaled shakily, “Before you were made.” His escape and The Chosen One’s creation must have been mere hours apart. The scan says he was made the same day he escaped. Hell the kid was probably made because he escaped. Victim feels sick at the thought.

And Victim really looks at the kids at this point. It’s not as evident on Dark, but both of them have that haunted look of someone who’s gone through something no one should ever have to go through. Victim knows that look very well. (He used to see it every time he looked in the mirror. Sometimes he still does)

So, Victim gives them a choice.

They can either stay with him, someone who went through the same stuff they did, and keep the cuffs on until it’s decided that they aren’t a danger anymore, or they can be sent to wherever young stick criminals go. (Victim is sure the rest of the Net won’t exactly like the first option, but RC is the only place that can make restraints that work on them and if they try to make him give the kids up he sure as hell won’t let them have the cuffs so the rest of the Net doesn’t get a choice)

And well, neither of them want to get put in stick juvie so they agree to pretend to try this rehabilitation thing and escape when they get a chance.

It takes a while, but eventually both of them start to calm down and heal. Their want for destruction fades away because of the positive influences they now have in their lives. It eventually gets to a point where the cuffs are removed and Victim gets them a remote area where they can go and play with their power without causing any damage to others.

During all that Dark, Victim, and Mitsi bond over their shared interest in technology and Chosen bonds with them over… something else, I don’t really have any ideas on what. They both hassle Agent, trying to get him to spar with them (Dark more so then Chosen) and he winds up teaching them both some hand to hand while their powers are still locked.

Showdown still happens, several years down the line, but it’s basically just Dark and Chosen screaming at each other because Dark kept bring up trying to get revenge on their creator. Chosen just wants peace and going for revenge would only stir up trouble. They can’t even get revenge if they wanted, Noogai’s PC is dead and gone (heh) Eventually they compromise. Dark won’t try to find and attack Noogai but he’ll build the Virabots just in case their creator ever rears his head again.

From there on they just…live. Dark helps in the labs with making new tech and Chosen helps with security (I don’t know what to do with him bro has no hobbies. Maybe he helps out on the farm? I don’t know if they still even have a farm.)

At some point they hear about a strange occurrence. The game Minecraft was almost completely destroyed and no one can pinpoint a cause for what happened. RC, and by extension the three siblings, start to investigate and well. I’ll leave that up to you.

The last Ritsu fic just make me think of Leo version, for some reason. Because like, this man, this guy, this Satan spawn if he was sent to the future and somehow, miraculously ended with Leo, he straight up the type to go into denial.

Like, him?? Leo?? The 600k influencer?? Where all of his fans is dying to be with him and a much better option (dramatic ass) somehow ended up with the NPC?? He's having an identity crisis because did he lose his taste in people already?? He blame Darkwick for not allowing to leave all the time because he ended up settle down for the "Honor Roll" or the "Useless NPC"

He probably think or believe he ended up with MC because she must've been desperate to be in a relationship. Of course, he's the Leo after all, everyone would wanted to be with him, even the basic NPC themselves. (Spoiler alert; he's the one who fell first and hard. Who's the one into the chick now, Leo?)

Leo wakes up in an unknown yet familiar room where he discovers some things about the future

The thumping pulsation of his heartbeat inside his skull, pushing against the bone seeking to burst, does an unsurprising better work at waking him than any alarm clock, the pain ripping the sleep away from Leo in each of its quick waves.

One of his hands falls between his eyebrows, applying force against them that rolled down his temporal to the occipital where it pooled as honey-thick pleasurable pressure, even though it did an underwhelming job at soothing the ache to say the least. It's unlike any hangover he had ever gotten.

“Why in hell does my head hurt so fucking much?” It isn't like he has been drinking lately, ever since coming to darkwick the only chance at getting drinks was when he gets an R&R accepted, which Alan hasn't done in a good few days. At one point he thought that obscuary’s bar might sell him booze, given Romeo's complaints about a ‘drunk’ Haru, but they were just anomalous drinks that mimicked it so he wouldn't get a hangover either way.

Extending his hand towards the nightstand Leo starts patting around trying to find his phone to call Sho so he gets him some aspirin or something. After a few failed attempts he reluctantly starts opening his eyes slowly only to see that his phone wasn't there. Did he forget it at the bar? Or maybe sober designated driver Sho decided to take it away so he wouldn't embarrass himself?

Before he can even start cussing his friend out a whiff of sweet chocolate catches his nose. Could it be that he finally caved in and made him the trendy chocolate pastries shaped like dachshunds he has been asking him to? He always refused to, saying things like ‘cooking isn't the same as baking’ or ‘it’s really precise, I can't just throw things in a bowl and hope it works out’ but it seems he is humoring Leo again.

Now in a better mood, he peeks a leg under the unusually nice and heavy comforter and starts looking for his slippers still laying down. When he finds one he sits up and follows the smell.

Dragging his feet across the tiled floors Leo doesn't notice how different the floorplan -or everything really- is to Vagastorm, the white paint on the walls pristine rather than dirty with dubious substances and the hallway has a lingering scent of bergamot and sage clinging to clean AC cooled breeze, totally different to the drowning rust and oil hanging in suffocating hot air. Strangely enough he doesn't notice either how naturally he navigates without even one though forming, almost as if he was familiar with it.

Stopping just under the arch leading to the dining room, his enthusiasm falters as the white plate on the glass table was holding, disappointingly, not his pastries but cut up brownies with some red flakes over, maybe chili flakes? It would still be a spicy dessert so curious he reaches a hand over but before his fingers even graze it a playful voice scolds him like a little child.

“They are still hot! I don't want you whining about stomach ache”

If ghouls weren't more sturdy than humans Leo is 100 percent sure he would have gotten whiplash with the way his head snapped towards the right, surprised at your presence. Despite what he might have normally done, going on and on about how much of an obsessive fan you were for hanging out around his room and how he would make Darkwick get a restraining order on you, something inclined him to do nothing, almost feeling like it was obviously natural for you to be here.

It isn't until you start walking towards him, a playful smirk on your face, that he notices that there is a baby no older than ten months hanging on your hip.

Now beside him, your hand combs his bed hair, raking his scalp with the blunt end of your nails, the few times his ashy gray hair tangled around your fingers and got pulled, his nerves and spine trembled slightly. Even if he reasons pulling away –He cares so much about his hair, spending a good amount of money and time on it only for a nobody NPC to spread skin oils on it?!– the surprising ease that came with your touch urged him to stay and rest against the warmth

“Did Emmy wake you up? it's unusual for you to wake up so early” looking through his eyelashes, the black minimalist asymmetrical clock with cherry red arms points to 7:30. How come he woke up so early? When he spends the night editing or doxxing he barely can stand at 12:45. The sleep still hanging to his yellow eyes reminds him of when Alan bangs on his door to force him to train “were you editing that video up late?”

“Video?”

Putting your daughter in the highchair you start tinkering inside the kitchen, cutting some berries and fruit, grabbing a plastic bowl shaped like a panda and putting a dollop of yogurt before sprinkling chia seeds “weren't you doing a summary video for our anniversary? Your fans are kind of pushy about it, and I know you defend them saying they are mostly teens but…”

Tuning out the rambling as background noise, Leo's yellow eyes meet matching ones on the high chair, looking up to him with such an innocent love he can feel awkwardness seeping out of his bones, seeing something so small and weak put so much trust on someone who regularly scams rich old men.

“But I guess it's whatever” coming back to the table you settle the bowl in front of the toddler and face him again, now slightly worried “are you feeling alright, Leo?”

“I must be missing too much sleep lately” the words leave his mouth before he can even think about them

“Sho mentioned sending you some things for it if you wanted them”

“Hmm… guess I should see if I can finish it already” Leo reaches for his phone that was laying on the table and unlock it as he walks to his study, a big desk with a three monitor setup and a green screen. Throwing himself on the couch Leo opens his Whatsapp and sees that his chat with Sho has a bunch of notifications, most if not all videos.

Leisurely scrolling through the miniature one of them catches his eye.

It's an off centered video inside his Vagastorm dorm, very obviously taken as a prank on him.

Both of you are laying down on his bed and seeing something on his phone.

“I don't like that one, you look weirder than usual” without giving you a chance to refuse he scrolls to the next picture.

“We have gone through 45 pictures, what is the fuss about?”

“A makeup brand wants to send a PR package for Valentine's so you need a proper headshot” scrolling away 5 or more photos in rapid fire he sighs into your shoulder.

“Why don't we take a few in my phone?”

“No way, your camera sucks”

“If it's so much of a drag why not just decline? It isn't like you need some spare cash ”

“If I don't post -anything- for Valentine's my fans are going to think we are going through a hard patch and you already saw how weird they can be” it is very obvious for you that he means last Valentine's when a swarm of fans chased after you two like paparazzi. Even then he digs his head deeper in the junction of your neck and his arms hug you closer.

“Is that all?” You ask teasingly and he mumbles something into your skin “hum? I didn't catch that”

“I want all those bastards to know you are mine”

For a second it almost seems like the video froze but suddenly the half of his body he can see is dragged off screen to the right side of the bed.

“Aren't you too sweet to be the demonic influencer~~?” The phone's audio managed to catch some soft mwahs.

“Stop slobbering over my face I have to meet-! Oh~ I don't mind this too much actually”

And the video cuts to black.

A curse towards his friend slips from his mouth before wondering why exactly he has a slight memory of the event like staring at a rock under muddy water.

Sighing and turning off his phone Leo's devilish yellow eyes turn to the monitor displaying the screensaver. It isn't even one second before his natural curiosity takes over and wants to start snooping, wanting to see any future trends or blackmail he could use -would it even be snooping if it's his own computer?- and as soon as the wireless mouse moves the oh so famous video pops on the editing app.

The frame he left it at was the ending of the wedding ceremony, just after the telling of vows. At the beginning it is quite far away, just enough to distinguish who they are by rough features but as the couple -or some reason it's less embarrassing to say couple than say you and him- get closer to kiss so does the camarographer, quickly panning closer until both of your faces are encased in the frame. His caramel eyes dripping with such sweetness it reaches out from the screen to his tongue and makes him sick.

“Aww, looking kind of sour over here” your hands smooth the shoulders of his pajamas before digging each thumb under his shoulder blade attempting to undo years of hunching over work and making him sit up straight “feeling kind of jealous I haven't been paying much attention to you lately?”

Sliding a hand up the column of his neck, the nails softly scraping the skin making him sigh and almost inaudible “NPC” Through half open eyes Leo sees your face getting closer and how your lips curve into a smile.

“Back to that stupid name like back at the academy? Last time I checked I was LI” hot lips climb up and around his neck and behind his left ear “reminiscing about those times now? How about we reenact something else from back then?” slowly he moves his head to the side, Instigated by the thumb pressing on his cheek. Instinctually he opens his mouth.

Something wet enters his mouth and his hair is pulled up dragging his head above water.

“dude, are you okay?!” Sho yelps, patting him harshly on the back to get the water out of his lungs “I knew this wasn't a good idea”

Roughly Leo elbows Sho let him go and he sits on the floor feeling his lungs and nose burn each time he breathes in.

As his sight stops being obscured by thick black fog his surroundings get clearer. It was supposed to be an offhanded mention by their teacher but, after the class insisted, he took them to an exceptionally big marble bird pond he claimed a person could see their future in if they dipped their head in yet he refused to allow any of the students to do so.

Unsurprisingly Leo's curiosity got the better of him and Sho fell alongside him, sneaking in to see if it was true.

Just behind Sho someone he wishes didn't have to see in a while appears, you.

“What is the NPC doing here?”The question fell from his lips almost like a hiss.

“Alan saw you two leaving Vagastorm after curfew and asked me to check” given how Leo seemed still too winded to stand sho tells you to help him drag him back to their dorm. As you hunch besides him and slide his arm behind your neck you notice something under his shirt “Leo, you have a cut there!” it isn't weird noting how he was positioned and the somewhat sharp edge of the birdpond.

Your fingers dance over the thin but long cut just above his clavicle, the white skin irritated red.

Regardless of how innocent this touch around his neck was, it was impossible to separate it from the previous sight into the future with the current one.

Now with newly gained strength he swats your hand away “don't get so handsy so quickly, NPC” and slides both arms over Sho's shoulders who just sighs and carries him princess style.

“Bye, senpai” Sho shoots you a quick goodbye before going away with Leo who he notices is far too quiet than usual but as he looks down he finds him blushing and even his ears dusted with cherry red “why are you even red faced? It isn't even the first time I hold you like this… Oh don't tell me-”

“Shut the fuck up”

“First bet you lose”

More AvA/AvM thoughts and a longer rambling under the cut to get my thoughts out

Admittedly this is all going to come out of the blue but that is my fault for saying nothing about a year old hyperfixation till now. Anywho!

The color gang coming from the online world where all the other sticks live has been in my head since we saw the outside world. Yes they’re way more vibrant then most there but purple and their parents are also a very vibrant trio. So I have my thoughts on the four. Obviously don’t have any parents around (wasn’t my fault for once shocker /lh) and are most definitely not related really. So it gives me the thought of the 4 always being friends since they were small and fighting/playing is just what they usually did with no parents figures other then a care taker.

But then how’d they get on the stick fight site? Well considering it was not until AvA 4 when we saw them they most definitely saw other famous stick fights that wanted to make them be part of it. Hell in AvYT we see at the end they all just wanted to watch epic stick fights. So yeah thought I’d they basically ganged together to make their own site to show off their epic fights together while also living in said site together. Worked well.

Then a certain someone broke down the wall one day and they were like damn this is kinda neat. Kept the site of course it is their literal home but after more and more or AvM they considered the PC, TSC and Alan more as their home and so started staying there more. The little Minecraft houses, finding interests outside of just fighting, and living out their fantasies with the power of minecraft.

They’re still all identical looking for a long time though. I think the accessories I draw them with were drawn by TSC as gifts but not until after AvM 30. They’ve learned so much more at that point about themselves I could imagine being identical as each other and just being “them sticks that fight” still gets a bit old. Course’ they can take off the accessories when they feel so but kept them in the back pocket. TSC hasn’t felt any feeling to change their looks so he hasn’t.

Well then anywho it’s very late and though I have more AvA thoughts I need to contain them for when it’s not 3 in the morning ! So instead some smaller stuff Iv noticed while obsessively observing episodes and shorts (mostly Blue because I heart blue)

Blue unlike the rest of the color gang is very… plain. And I don’t mean this in a negative sense. It’s more a lesser degree of creativity from him on most accounts. He’s not very creative in his solutions most the time and has very straightforward solutions to issues that in his mind are straightforward. Break an axe? Make a new one. Gotta go fast? Drugs Potions that make you faster. Yeah there’s cooking but he never really does anything creative with it outside of adding nether warts like the lil freak /pos he is. Follows a written recipe and taught lesson.

It’s a quiet aspect of him I only really noticed a few days ago. Not that this is a negative aspect again but something that makes him stand out more!

Now then uhh smaller random stuff I just always like. Lush Caves ep, Red realizing oh god he can’t win this fight Vs TSC and started running from them instead. Always makes me boowomp a little thinking about it since Red is kinda the younger usual happy go lucky prankster. TSC I know you’re also young and stressed but continuing to get his ass was NOT the way man,,

Last thought, King just trying to avenge his son only to come out of the situation with like 6 new adoptive kids is very funny to me. They say vengeance is a life well lived so I guess he got vengeance 6 times over. Ok gn (ecplodes)

Reminded you of the Beast, from ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ He would lash out, destroy things, and spoke in an aggressive manner. But as time progressed along side of him. Underneath that cold demeanor. Is a man who has lost his way. Maybe not completely, but it’s like he doesn’t have something to look forward to. That’s where you came in. First afraid of him, but now, after getting to know him more. You seem more that meets the eyes. Here’s how it all happened..

• When you first came around. He would demand you to do this, and do that. You would have to wake up in the morning, help him get dressed and when he wants to take a nap. He would tell you do clean his room.

•At first you didn’t mind too much, but when you told him how you felt. It kinda surprised him. He had no idea that you had a backbone.

•You have told him that you were doing this to help him out. Not because he told you to do so. You expressed that you were worried about his mental health. Considering he doesn’t get out much. Nor does he interact with anyone that much either.

•This may have caused him to get mad at first and you both argued. Not loudly, but enough for him to kick you out of his room.

•Shortly after he had kicked you out. He felt extremely lonely.. he wasn’t sure why though.

•You were now outside with Kaito and Luca. All of you were having a snowball fight. It created a lot of ruckus. Jin walked out on the patio and seen what was going on. He watched you throw a snowball at Kaito and ducked behind a tree. Your eyes full of energy and a smile so sweet and bright.

•For some reason he had wished you looked at him the same. He first pushed that thought away and went to take a nap. But it suck with him. So little by little, he made an attempt to get to know you.

•He would tell you to come over for lunch. Give you money, then tell you to get lunch for two. You mistaken that he had a big appetite. But when you return with the lunches. He tells you to sit down and eat.

•it started off quiet and awkward. Of course Jin didn’t have poor manners like the beast. But he pointed out that you did. You felt embarrassed, he tells you that he’ll teach you the ropes. Poor start, but it gets better.

•Once, he missed the sound of the beach. Tells you to go get the steamboat. You spent the day with him. He tells you a few stories about his life and you told him yours.

•There was a dolphin that peaked its head out of the water. You walked over and pet it. Then a seagull landed on the edge of the boat and you walked over to pet the seagull too.

•on your way back on the beach. Was a sea turtle wrapped in a plastic. You ran over to it and tried to pull the wrap off it. It was suck and you didn’t want to hurt the poor thing. With teary eyes, you turn to Jin and asked for him. Jin was strong enough to pull off without hurting the turtle. Both of you pushed the sea turtle back into the direction of the water and off it went.

•Jin got to see more of your caring and kind nature as he spends more time with you. One time, you both went to a café and a child got lost. You soothe the child and both of you were able to find the parents.

•What he didn’t expect is your mind to be filled with strange things. He was caught off guard when you asked him if a Kraken would punch sharks or whales like octopus would do to fishes for now reasons.

•He laughed

Alan: He reminds you of Po and Gaston from Disney. Gaston that is strong, attractive and confident in his strength. He isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed though. The reason why he also reminds me of Po from Kung Fu Panda is because, he’s kind, loyal and willing to learn. He may not be the prince type, but he is a loyal friend that everyone needs.

•At the start, both started of distant and awkward. He’s a pretty big guy that doesn’t show a lot of emotion. He doesn’t talk much either. But he cares a lot about his group. He keeps people in line. Make sure people follow his rules. Though he isn’t demanding.

•When he was fixing up the cars on his spare time. You would always take a wet towel and wipe of the oil off of his hands and face.

•You would even volunteer to help whatever you could. •Sometimes you would even buy him lunch and bring it over when you know he’s been busy.

•Small things makes him really happy and appreciative. He would often show his appreciation with a small smile and pat on the head with a small thanks

•He would often invite you for barbecue and hiking.

•He enjoys teaching you things he knows as you help him with some things he didn’t understand.

•When in danger you can definitely count on him to save you or keep you protected.

•He’s never good with words, but his actions shows. He seen how caring and kind you are to not only him, but others too. This makes him more protective of you.

•This type of relationship is an awfully slow burner type of relationship. You’ll have to be straightforward. Otherwise, he’s not getting it.

Romeo: He’s like Hades, the Disney version. He's a stoic and cunning like the god of the Underworld, who is fixated on gaining more power and control. He's a perfectionist when it comes to his schemes or anything he sets his mind on and isn't willing to compromise on his goals, no matter what. And his greed and desire for power definitely drive his every action and decision. He's the epitome of a relentless and ambitious villain. On the real mythology side. He’s fair; he’s not as cruel or malevolent as the Disney version. He actually has a strong sense of justice too(the whole thing that went down between him and Taiga). He’s also impartial and values structure and order.

•When you first got hurt. He saw the cut on your cheek. He tells you to go and get it fixed. He even freaked out a little bit over it. Was he really concerned or what is something else?

•Romeo would often demand you to clean the lobby or his office room. You took great consideration on how things needed to be done. He’s strict to the Tee.

•When Romeo was yelling at his people, you would often tell him to take a deep breathe and set a warm cup of tea to relax him.

•He’s grateful but never told you so.

•he would often made sure you have to best of the best clothes and accessories. If you were going to stand by his side. You need to look your absolute best.

•you would often do the skin care routines with him. You would pick up the things he need and help him apply it. As he relaxes in his bath tube. You would rub the product on his face as you massage his face.

•You would also give him massages when he’s overwhelmed. He also enjoys sitting next to you in his office while saying nothing. Smooth jazz plays in the background as he watches his security cameras. EITS

•He doesn’t mind your input, long as it’s logical. He likes those feedbacks. He also finds it nice that you go out of your way to help him.

Zenji: He reminds me of Olaf, he’s sweet, lovable, loves warm hugs(if you know, you know) he’s a bit of a worrywart and often looks after his friends. He’s playful and a bit dramatic.

•Zenji may have come off a bit extreme. Super excited to have met you and all. He speaks in his own ways, which may or may not confuse you. Calls it destiny.

•He shares his stories with you. He also sings to you. •You would always praise him when he tells stories and sings. He makes him feel good and light. Like he’s on cloud 9 with you.

•When you heard what had happened to him. You cried, you may not know the full story. But it pained you that someone so sweet. Died. He sings a song to soothe your nerves.

•you would compliment him on a daily as much as he would to you. Both of you have sweet nicknames/pet names for one another. He calls you Doll or Dear-ie and you would call him Zen or Zenny. •You told him that he reminds him of a teddy bear. Being around him is comforting.

•He would often check up on you and ask you about your day. If anything was wrong. He would lend an ear and advice.

•He would always laugh at your jokes too. “A limbo walks into a bar. He’s disqualified.” “Ahhh! What an amusing sense of humor!”

Luca: Robin Hood, He's known for his friendliness, honesty, and chivalry towards Maid Marian and the people of Sherwood Forest. However, there are times when his stubbornness and determination to always do what he thinks is right sometimes cause him to lose perspective and get into trouble. For example, there are moments in the movie where he goes against the advice of others and ends up causing more problems for himself and the people around him. Despite his best intentions, his actions sometimes have unintended negative consequences.

•Luca acts knightly towards you, he goes out his way to help you with anything.

• He’ll protect you, save you from harm and assist you.

•He would often save a seat next to him for you. Hold the door, and give you a snack if you were hungry

•When he got angry at Leo and Sho for talking bad about Kaito. That’s when you see a different side of him. His perspective of things began to cloud and he ended up meeting Sho in the pit.

•You were worried about him and what could happen. After the whole thing went down. You checked to see if he was hurt. Luckily he wasn’t, but after Jin scolded him. He realized that he had put you in danger.

•He had apologized to you and made a promise to not do that again. He held your hand and placed both yours and his on his chest. Right above his heart. Looked straight into your eyes as he said it.

•When in deep thoughts you would often check up on him and ask him how was he. He appreciated that.

•One time you both were walking around outside of Frostheim and a blue jay landed on his shoulder. He wasn’t sure what to do, but you reacted out and pet the bird. The blue Jay moved to stand on your finger and you have continued to pet it. Luca smiled as he watched

•Often when walking through the campus. The cats would stop to greet you for a small pet on the head. The cats have adore you. So did Luca, more and more.

•When on a case, a child had gotten hurt by playing too rough in the park. The child cried as he looked at his knee. You have bent down, grabbed your water bottle and poured water on the knee to clean it. Then you took a small cloth in your packet that was clean and wrapped it up. “You know what might make the pain on away?” You asked the child. “Mah” you kissed the knee. “There! All better, soon the boo boo will go away.” The child smiled and thanked you.

•Luca was in awed, his chest beat rapidly as he watched the whole seen. Usually he was the one aiding a child. Mainly because he had a brother.

•When walking back to the academy. You have asked a question. “Luca, wanna know something?” “What’s that?” “Ever eat a whole pint of ice cream?” “No I haven’t.” “Me neither, it was no accident.”

•He just simply smiled and shook his head.

Me ranting about the Dorian Gray Netflix adaptation

Today, instead of complaining about Greek mythology adaptations, I'm ranting about this one ! In general, I think adaptation ≠ original story inspired by some existing work. In the latter case, I'm 100% for artistic freedom. Do what you want, if your character is female you can inspire yourself from male chatacters, I don't have the right to tell you anything.

But I think adapting a work requires, well, adapting TO said work and respect it. Which gets me to Netflix's future adaptation of The picture of Dorian Gray.

I know, there's not any news since August/September 2024 but I read the book relatively recently and have a lot of thoughts about it. And I hope this project is cancelled because... oh boy is that a mess !

So, in short, there's not a lot of material, which makes the fact that they ruined the whole story in ONE SENTENCE even more impressive ! I expect more of this kind of changes, unfortunately.

Basically, Dorian and Basil are now siblings ! Because... idk. We're in 2025. The freaking 2009 version got away with a kiss between them just fine, so why just remove Basil being a simp this important plot of the book ?

I have a brother, we're on very good terms but it's obvious that I never looked at him like Basil does Dorian, I'd never compare him to Adonis or Antinous (Hadrian's lover, not the one from the Odyssey), I'd never spent time painting him in all those poses or defend him like an angel. Siblings just don't do that 🤣.

Portraying sibling affection is fine and adorable but Basil's fascination is NOT brotherly and I thought it was obvious for everyone. Or they'd go in a weird incest direction, idk. Otherwise, the relationship and character interactions of the book will lose their charm and what made them so tragically interesting.

Another change that's kinda iffy is the "Doran" thingy. I'm hoping it's a typo and not genderbending Dorian into a woman. Because no, it's not feminist at all to do that, there are tons of stories about feminine beauty and Dorian's just isn't one of them. Plus there's just no point in doing that other than doubly killing the gay.

Want to make beautiful women relevant? Give Sibyl Vane and the other female characters more screen time. How about Gladys for example? She appears pretty late and is underused. Let her have more time !

Want sibling interactions ? Sibyl and James are literally RIGHT HERE. Give them more interactions that don't focus on Dorian or stuff. More about the Vane family, the sibling's career ambitions, living without a father and in more poverty than the rich main characters, how Sibyl's death affected James and his mother, how he festered his hate towards the "prince charming" for years and his feeling when Dorian got away. This could translate well in a modern setting too.

Or small stuff like making Lord Henry's wife divorce him on screen, this moment would be SO delightful to watch (fanservice for me).

In general, there are tons of better ideas that would flesh out secondary characters and keep it faithful to the book. How about more scenes with Alan Campbell, who's pretty mysterious?

Or adding OCs ! Since there's a lot of room to do that in the time skip where Dorian meets a lot of people (and ruins their lives).

Heck, coming back to the 2009 version, adding a time skip and the concept behind Emily isn't bad. Though the ending of this movie is also a mess and it makes questionable changes in general, it'd be way better and faithful than whatever I'd expect after reading this stuff.

As for the "modern beauty industry aspect", I can't really say anything since I don't have enough material.

Anyways, there's a lot of potential by adapting this simple story and fleshing out secondary characters other than the core three (that obviously need to stay at the center of the story, especially our eponymous golden boy, but maybe not exclusively them). This cast of characters is just so delightfully flawed that there's a lot of drama material.

Though I say that as someone who read and loved the original novel, which I don't think is the case for the people in charge of this adaptation 😅

If it wasn’t clear before my main guy is Tohma of course I have my other two top favourites which are Zenji and Subaru.

In all honesty I really don’t dislike any of the ghouls.

Well….Except Kaito. He can go eat rocks and get shot by Romeo for all I care I almost gave up reading the prologue/episode zero because of him. Thank god for Jin, Tohma and Luca breaking up his awful dialogue with his character in episode one. (I dislike him like most of you dislike Leo. While I can tolerate Leo.)

But Tohma is kinda my bais or at lest some form of it I really like the two sided cunning right hand man trope even better if he has secrets or is actually strong (or has long hair lol) which Tohma is all those things minus the hair haha.

I have a small group of fictional men that truly itch my ideal of that certain character and after episode one Tohma slid right in. (He’s very kyoya ohshc coded idk how to explain why)

So in true fangirl fashion I created an OC; Mairo as you have met her in other post. Here is a bit about her.

She is a third year as of now and the idea of the how her and Tohma meet, is they met on the first day they came to darkwick. She becomes good friends with Alan and Tohma even though she was placed in a different house. (She’s a Hotarubi ghoulie)

She beat up a third years who were harassing her on her first day. Thus how she met Alan and Tohma. So everyone thought she be place in vagastorm because of said “fight” and along with some of her fashion decisions; platform creepers, choker and gloves unkempt loose uniform. She looked like a delinquent.

But surprise she’s an art kid.

Like all ghouls they are stronger then your average human and she no different she is strong not as strong as are top few that we know of being pretty strong like Alan, Tohma and jiro.

But she can hold her own on mission if need be this being said she never likes to fight unless provoked or is defending herself, she is a bit passive that way.

She try’s to see the brighter side of things in most cases. That goes for people too she makes friends easily and if she doesn’t like you or if you wrong her she will hold you to it for a long while, unless you own up to it.

She doesn’t just keep to her house with her friendships. Mairo does strongly believes they are all in this together and should just get along, whether they’re in different house or not. 

She loves art, fine art, painting, crafts, pottery, poetry. If it’s creative outlet she’ll try it. This why she was placed in Hotarubi, and she loves the house grounds and colors. (Her favorite color is purple)

She has a fascination with astronomy after her deals with her demon she dives even more into it. Her stigma is dowsing which is a type of divination ability also feeds into this fascination with folk culture and rituals.

Her stigma helps find lost things-truths and lies she has to use tools to let it work, a pendulum is her preferred method.

Her artifact is a feathered fan (metal handle and base with feathers used by ancient strategist like photo) not sure what I want it it’s little ability to be yet

As for the clash she was with Zenji when it went down she was injured trying to help him. After he is announced dead in hospital she goes into shock along with her injuries to her head and body she slips into a semi comatose coma for a few months she comes too a month into her third year and when MC is now there; and has to navigate all the changes that happen in those months, and the clashes aftermath with how it effected her fellow third years.

The school board does try to do some things to her when she is in her coma but is stopped by a series of odd events (aka Zenji doing ghost stuff) of course Haku finds out because of Zenji which then profession Nicholas and Yuri finds out by then she is moved to Mortranken for better protection until she awakes.

Repeating my FYI from before: this is my first time rewatching the show (excluding indirect watch through YouTube reactions), and it's purpose for me to refresh my mind and noticing things. So, I won't dwell on certain theories, but I'll take notes about it for myself.

But now, IF Justin Kirk is really Marius, it's also a clue that Marius also lives in that apartment building 💡Does that mean there's a real possibility of "Akasha is the groan" theory to be true? Or "sleeping Lestat is the groan"? Because no way these good writers features the groan without meaning even though the groan is indeed a phenomenon that happens to tall buildings. Saving this for later.

• "You're going to find that difficult". That's "after-the-fact scene" number 2. Yeah, I will call it that. It means that scene doesn't necessarily happen as a fact in the past because it's impossible for Louis to know (he's being super focused on his family, no way he heard that). But it's formed based on an information Louis learnt after the fact, which over the years eventually attached to the memory of that day. Memory does evolve that way; no intervention or intent needed for that to happen. The after the fact information this time is that it's indeed hard, and Lestat must have warned him (see: post almost killing nephew scene), so over the years it evolved to "oh Lestat must find it ridiculous I tried to go back to my family that first day". I LOVE that the writers are doing this. It means they're treating memory in the show as real memory; it's not static, it evolves over the years, formed based on a lot of influences etc etc.

• Love the burning special effects. That's a great way to show it off.

• I can't believe they had their first time with Louis smelling like milk and burnt 😂😭

• Daniel is SO desperate to put some distance and not sympathize with Louis. Though he kinda fails by the end of the episode thanks to Alice

• The fact they gave Lestat's preaching lines from the book to Louis (the having hand in divine plan bits) really tells you that Louis is posturing here. Idk I feel like he's trying to gauge how far Daniel could tolerate. And Daniel is indeed afraid, judging from his face and how he becomes more bitey.

• After-the-fact scene number 3, with Lestat staring as Louis' sex worker's breast. The after-the-fact information is obviously Lestat staring at Antoinette in the next episode which led to his affair. Of course, Louis would questioning when Lestat started to be unfaithful, when his eyes started straying; a very common question for people who are cheated. Is it really from the beginning? (Fenwick's arm hasn't healed yet since Paul's funeral; Google tells me it can take six weeks)

• "It's not cheating if it's with a woman" oh hey best cameo of the year lol

• Lestat's face when he explained about no telepathy is like he just had a war flashback

• I need more Florence vs Lestat cat fight seriously

• "Haven't heard a knock on my door. It's a half-mile both ways" SPEAK IT LOUDER LOUIS. Like, I understand you're grieving and blaming your son, but no call whatsoever from everyone for 3 months after your son just suddenly moved out?? Insanity. (But also not surprising seeing my own big family responding to silent treatment 💀) The homophobia jumps out as well. Paul is Louis' real tie to the family.

• Jacob's expressions during the racist lawyer scene muah

• "If you hide from me this long again, I'll hunt you down..." again, his family knows where he lives 🤷‍♀️

• Grace pointing out the "extra" cash and the fact he lives nicely in the Quarter now 👀👀

• "What can i do to make it up to you?" This whole scene shows Lestat's method in deescalating a situation. He obviously doesn't understand the point of the problem is yet he doesn't try to understand. Louis is giving him a silent treatment (which means he's my bestie, cos silent treatment is my flaw as well lol), but idk instead of showing a good intention by asking Louis to explain to him or something, he asks for a shortcut instead. He needs Louis to verbalize the solution for them. We're fast forwarding, but iirc this is similar approach he has with Antoinette as well. Here, Louis is still willing to verbalize the solution.

• The way Louis' neck moves when Lestat says "How can i stop you?" oh he loves being pampered

• Louis doesn't put "sir" after Tom's name when signing the purchase 😎✊

• The body double throws me out I'm so sorry 😭

• 1912-1917

• This whole thing with Benny feels like a thriller movie. Kudos for the director

• Of course he came to his family bringing money for Grace. It seems it's past bed time. Florence is in her bedroom.

• "It's still Lestat" There's passive aggressiveness into it idk. Like, she expects them to have broken up already

• Louis really wants Daniel to highlight he's different from the other girls. I mean, the other vampires.

• You can see the exact moment when it dawns on Lestat he has fucked up with bringing Louis to a racist opera house. God, what a loser (affectionately). It's never come into his mind how bad it would ruin Louis' mood. Like, he understands racism is bad as a concept, but he doesn't understand how it affects one's self. He thinks that would be a minor convenience to Louis that Louis could just brush off.

• Lestat 🤝 Me, accidentally become manipulative when we're in a pinch. (re: the loneliness speech)

• Lestat slowly killing Ernesto while Louis watching his memories to feel the "charge" of connecting to humanity. Oh, they are made for each other.

• The story with Alice, that she felt not good enough for him so she always died his eyebrow brown, but Daniel actually liked it when she didn't do it. Aww Daniel is trying to cheer him up.

• About the question for this week, does Louis really need to maintain the thread and why? Idk, i feel like Louis feels he needs to do it. Maybe to maintain some resemblance of humanity inside him, afraid it will go away over time. But to me, it doesn't really work.

Summary: Okay, if the first episode is about establishing Louis' internal conflicts, about the seduction/hunt and turning, this episode is about what Louis lost and not lost to vampirism. We also see the seed of Loustat's conflicts and how ineffective their method to solve them. And it's about vampirism, it's also the episode where we get the vampire lore the most. Of course over the months after season 1 aired I have kept several theories up about where the Dubai timeline is set based on the books. And the teasers of season 2 have debunked some of them. But this rewatch gives me another theory which I will keep to myself. All I can say though, instead on certain period of time of book canon, I think they're taking elements from different era of the books for Dubai. Can't wait to see the answer in S2 ❤️

My Next Life As a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! - Pirates of the Disturbance - Game Alan Stuart Review

Oh thank you creators for making this guy my type he is a sad boy/tsundere who is shy and blushes alot and is easily flustered. This is the kinda guy that I'm sweet on easy. From his greyish/white hair to the way he wears his sexy earrings... yeah Alan is my guy in this game. Rozy still has me curious though so we shall see. Anyways Alan is a good guy to the point he is always worried about hurting his brother if he was to let Catarina know he loved her. Its funny because he didn't even realize he loved her until she got sick then he realized a world without her he just couldn't live in. I also respect him cause as soon as he knew he was in love with her he went straight to Mary to call off the engagement they had. I mean she didn't want to at the moment until they could be with the person they wanted then she said she would bow out.

He is just so protective of Catarina, like when they get attacked by pirates he is willing to fight to his death if nothing but to keep her safe. He is a prince but he never lets it get to his head, he is still same boy that grew up with her. He picks on her about not being lady like and all but at the same time these are the things he loves about her more. He is adorable when he realizes she kissed him by accident. He gets on her and seems mad when she does something that can hurt her but I honestly feel like its to prevent from breaking down. He finally gets through to her how he feels and even in his last fight with Frederic I was so not expecting him to push her back and catch the sword with his hand. Like seriously dude is bleeding out yelling at Frederic that he will not let him harm Catarina cause she is the only on the matters to him and she is important. That was such a declaration of love that should make most girls swoon.

The CG's were beautiful in Alan's route and I really love how both of them eventually expressed their love for each other it was so sweet especially with blushing Alan awww he is always swoon worthy. I love in best happy ending they end up engaged though. I hated how Mary and Geordo made them wait almost a year to be together because everyone else selfishness of wanting her. I do love Geordo was willing to let her be happy with Alan however I agree with Alan his last words may have sounded nice but he was practically saying my brother fucks up and I will be there. I love his special show he puts on for her in the lounge as well. I don't know everything about this couple I love and I love Alan so much.

The alternate ending with Mary abducting her was plain creepy. I mean I always knew the bitch was psycho but she really proved it now. She would rather kidnap Caterina than let her be with the man she loves that was sickening to watch. The sweet love story in the mix of Ryle and Liliana was sweet to watch unfold as well. I hate on good ending although together its more in secret because Caterina has yet to call off her engagement to Geordo. Plus on this ending when she told Geordo he wanted more time he sounded more selfish in this part cause he made it sound like he didn't believe Alan could make her happy. I dont see how this was a good ending because Caterina talks about Alan being a dunce and not sure she romantically loves him. The doom ending being killed by Frederic was anticlimactic though if it was a doom ending would be more entertaining.

Alan really is a special kinda guy and I would say he is like tsundere, meets sad boy, meets best friend/big brother trope. He is a bit of them all and every interaction I had with him was either sweet, intimate, or I could feel how much he cared. I posted alot of his pictures but some of the things he says is even sweeter take a look at the video its the last scene where they announce their love. If your ok with the spoiler you will see how adorable they really are together.

Sharks Foundation 30th anniversary segment:

ALAN HOSHIDA: [Welcome] back; eight game home stand continues, looking for their first win... The Tank [SAP Center] was a happenin' place last time out—someone check on Sharkie. I heard some things happened. What will we see in the stands tonight, and on the ice? Let's get to our Remenda Rush and bring in Drew Remenda, and tonight we're celebrating the Sharks Foundation—30 years of impact. What have you seen from this foundation over your time here with the Sharks?

DREW REMENDA: Well, one, what you just said, the impact that they've made within the community. But how it started to where it is now—how they've grown, and how the, the reach out to the community has expanded to so many different things. I remember when their first couple of things that we ever did, the first of get-togethers, you know, broadcasters or coaches got in, and the players on some very small events, and then it just keeps expanding and expanding—that's because the incredible hard work that the Sharks Foundation does. The people themselves, here, in our building, that work for the San Jose Sharks, have grown that to be... fantastic. Because it has been fantastic for everybody that they touch.

(Long pause.)

HOSHIDA: (crosstalk) Keep on going, now that—

REMENDA: (crosstalk) I guess I'll keep talking, 'cause I— (indistinct)

REMENDA: (crosstalk) Hey that pregnant—

HOSHIDA: (crosstalk) We're all together on this.

REMENDA: You know what, exactly, that pregnant pause sometimes can be uncomfortable—which it just was! Alright, here's some of the guys we're looking at today—(both start giggling again) You guys... (regaining his composure)

Artyom Levshunov segment:

Playing in his second game in the National Hockey League—Hockey League, Artyom Levshunov. Levshunov was the second pick behind Macklin Celebrini. He played his first game last game against the Colorado Avalanche, and it was a 3–nothing loss, but in this game you saw some of the things that Levshunov has.

Number one, 6'2 but very explosive, outstanding skater. His edgework is terrific. He reminds you a lot of Lane Hutson as far as being able to shimmy-shake a defender because his edgework is so good. Very good on the transition, we watched some highlights when he played in (indistinct, probably saying "Michigan"?) and you see him being able to move the puck as well as he does, but he gets up in the play as well. His first two or three steps are really explosive.

And so when you look at the fact with that young man playing—and he had a, as I said, a very good game; he even lost his defense partner in Alec Martinez, but Mart—so he's down to five guys—he didn't, he didn't drop off. He didn't waver even though he'd played more minutes. I think it was like 23 minutes that he played in his first game. Foligno—his... forward, his teammate—said you know what, it was really exciting, he played an awesome game, and it's exciting to watch that skill up in person, so that's one of the guys they're building the future around, the Chicago Blackhawks.

Will Smith segment:

And, I think a guy that sometimes we don't talk about enough is Will Smith. Now, I gotta admit: at the start of the season, when Will Smith just started out, he wasn't what I thought he was going to be. I was expecting just like Macklin Celebrini, really dynamic, really noticeable. But Will was having a little trouble adapting to the NHL game, and I think Jamal will be able to kinda talk about this even better than I can.

But I asked the Sharks management: I asked them about Will, and what they told me was—relax. He did the same thing at Boston College. He started out a little slow, and then he picked up the game, the game slowed down for him, and then he took off and led the nation in points. In the last 20 games now with the San Jose Sharks, he got 18 points and the game has slowed down for him.

I asked Ryan Warsofsky and the coaching staff what they thought, where is his biggest improvement. They said number one, he's hanging onto pucks. And he's making plays now; he's more confident. And you saw that pass he made to Collin Graf for the second goal last game? He, earlier, would've just made that pass right away. Instead, he starts to walk towards the net, holds onto it for a second, draws the defensemen—that opens up Collin Graf for the goal. And the other thing he's doing is moving his feet. He's now skating, and the game, now, has slowed down for him; he's sped his brain up.

The other thing is, Ryan Warsofsky said, he's a smart person, a really smart player. But when you look at Macklin Celebrini, you think "wow, he's so intense, he's so competitive", and you see that. And I watch Will Smith—he reminds me, though, gang—he's got that competitiveness; he's got that fire—but he reminds me of Patty Marleau! How Patty was, had that—he was quiet, he was even-keel, but he still had the fire burning. Again, Jamal, you played with Patty, you know better than me, but I see a lot of Patty Marleau's instincts, and mannerisms, and character, and desire, and competitiveness with Will Smith.

So those are the two guys I'm looking at today, and I think both organizations look and think, "you know what, our future's going to be okay" with those two in the lineup.
