I know some people don’t care about Esteban but him having a special made helmet thanking the team and not being able to use it is like Ferrari dropping Charles before Abu Dhabi, Mercedes dropping Lewis before his last race with them. Esteban made Alpine the team it is today. He is their ONLY winner, he has scored 247 of their points. 5 years with a team for them to give him nothing but an instagram post is pathetic.

I HATED THE FACT THAT YOU COULDN'T HELP HIM AFTER HE GOT INTO FLAMES LIKE THAT— LOOK, LOOK HOW HE BACKED AWAY—

Like, i know he's done some messed up stuff, but he was just a kid that was finding any sense of company and got killed by the one thing he looked up too :((((((

i don’t think we talk enough about how horrified thorin was that he would fall to gold sickness like his grandfather. (this is going to reference the extended editions of the movies specifically as i have not yet finished the book!)

we see him watching Thror. he’s witnessed firsthand as his grandfather, whom he was very close with, falls to addiction and madness because of the wealth he’s accumulated.

we see him searching for his father, saying that he knows he’s alive. i could honestly go on a whole other tangent about this, but for the sake of this rant, he wants to believe that his father didn’t actually go mad like everyone says he did. or if he has gone mad, he wants to believe he can help him.

there’s the scene in Rivendell where he overhears Lord Elrond and Gandalf talking about it, and i don’t know about you guys, but he looks pretty damn worried to me. (sorry for how crunchy this gif is but you get the point)

and of course there’s obviously the “I am not my grandfather.” line he says to Balin outside of Erebor, which is one of the lines that ends up snapping him out of the dragon/gold sickness. His voice is stern, but he also looks away from Balin and almost whispers the line (see below).

all of this only exaggerates the tragedy of when he falls to the sickness. not only do we see how it effects those around him, but when he starts to recognize what’s happened to him he imagines being swallowed up by the gold. when he snaps out of it (might i add, to the repeated line “I am not my grandfather”), it’s such an intense realization that he throws his crown. he’s not only betrayed the others by falling to this sickness, he’s betrayed himself.

Fanfic prompt: the chain talks about bad relationships

Like time mops about Ruta

Warriors entire love life gets mentioned

Twilight is crying over Midna

And Legend mops in the corner

and when it’s four's turn

He tells everyone about his “brother's” relationship with a demon

“that poor thing doesn’t deserve that nihilistic and pessimistic attitude 24/7 no idea how he has managed to stay sane…wait he has willingly endured the worst person ever for years no way he is sane”

Everyone feels bad for the brother because obviously the demon is in the wrong and the bad guy

(the colors overpowered Vio in that one not that he did anything to stop them because he was busy mopping about not getting to be with shadow )

And for weeks they feel bad and extremely uncomfortable that four never did anything about the situation

Demons are no joke and bad partners can be damaging

When they see the brother in question they immediately realize that the demon was not the bad guy in this

Vio really is this bad

Shadow(to the chain): “You know, I find his eternal pessimism... kind of charming.”

Sky *pointing to Vio who is laying face down on the ground*: “Wait. You find that charming?”

Shadow : “Oh, sure! Most demons are all fire and brimstone, but Vio? He just sits in the corner and contemplates the futility of existence. It’s nice to have someone who’s not all about chaos and destruction for a change because trust me I know bad relationships”

Warriors:“But... he’s so depressing. How do you live with that?”

Shadow *shrugging*: “Oh, it’s not so bad. He says the same things every day, so I know when to tune him out or else I would have lost it already”

Green (pretending to be four at the moment)*mock whispering to the chain*: he is in fact insane don’t let his charming demeanor fool you…,probably because of Vio”

anyone else notice the eyes on Doey’s monster form here? two of them look saddened/scared while the other looks hostile/angry. I have a feeling that they represent the 3 boys who were used to create Doey, which would explain his constant shifting personalities.

The two sad ones could represent Matthew (a nice kid who wants to keep things calm) and Jackie. (The kid that fell into the chemicals in Doey’s vhs tape)

Then the angry one could be Kevin, a kid that was specifically noted to NOT be used in experiments because of his anger issues. Not sure if I’m correct, but it could be a really good detail on showing you how Jack isn’t the only boy in Doey’s body.
