#my dads been sick for several days and is outright refusing to go to the doctor #he keeps saying it’s just allergies and then not covering his mouth when he coughs and sneezes and it’s like #it’s very clearly not just allergies #he always does this when he gets sick #refuses and refuses to go to the doctor #I have a really weak immune system so it’s pretty much just a matter of time till I catch whatever it is since he won’t go get medicine #and it’s very frustrating because I’ll get much sicker than him #and it’s thanksgiving next week #if I catch it I won’t be better so I’ll miss the holiday #but then we’re not allowed to call off on Black Friday so I’ll get to go unload a massive truck and deal with obnoxious customers #I’m trying to isolate myself in my room but like #he’s been sick for like a week now and today I don’t feel right #so I bet that’s me starting with it #it’s so frustrating #like you clearly very sick just go to the fucking doctor #he’s so cheap he doesn’t want to pay the copay or for the medicine is what it is tbh #I wanna scream 🙃#his immune system is like an ox so he’ll be fine #meanwhile whenever I get sick it turns into like three different things #last month I had a sinus infection/bronchitis that was starting to turn into pneumonia 🙃#so you know #wish my dad would take that part more seriously but I’m not surprised that he doesn’t #he almost got me killed a few years back cause he refused to take me to the ER #if that gives you a better idea #I had neurovirus and had become so dehydrated I had slipped into unconsciousness #I got taken at all because my mom got worried when she couldn’t get me to wake up #my dad still didn’t want to take me and was just like she’s resting leave her be #I wound up in the hospital for three days #they estimated I had about two hours left until I actually would’ve died when they finally got me to the ER #doctor ripped him a new one

Yes, every event for this blog is fanfic friendly :D

Though as I mentioned on my Ominous October post, for events that include multiple short stories, I encourage everyone to flex their creativity and take one of their planned short story fanfics, and at least *attempt* to turn one of them into something entirely original; rebuilding a character and story from the ground up to stand on its own two legs is no easy feat, and that is what makes it so fun!

It really gets your creative gears turning, to make an "au of an existing material" to be something entirely original, and you can be pleasantly surprised about the things you come up with!

As a few people say, its not just a matter of "filing the serial numbers off" -- you have to add in just as much *or more* as what you take out when you are turning a fanfiction into something that is original and completely divorced from its original source material / inspiration, and that is a hard, but very rewarding challenge!

Obviously, this is not a requirement (there's no hard requirements for any of the challenges, other than no cheating, including no using AI),

but if you would like an extra challenge for the short story events and you're planning on doing entirely fan-fiction, I highly recommend trying it out at least once, and seeing where it leads you--

you may find yourself pleasantly surprised by what you find down that rabbit hole!

#theater versions of movies pretty much always get a pass from me #cause while they're not really my thing I recognize that they're not just some cheap cashgrab #they often come from a place of real love and people having fun with the idea of like... what if this were a musical?#like I've never quite gotten around to seeing the Spongebob musical; but someone who I trust loves it #and... there it feels like there's something actually being added; there's some love and care and... mhh... something transformative #actually having to take the time to adapt it to a new medium does a lot more than just remaking something #I'm just tired #burn hollywood burn #and while we're at it burn aaa games; burn down to the ground all the streaming services and the shitty influencers #like how is logan paul still a thing? out her hocking his shitty drink and getting into legal trouble #have you not all been ignoring him? I thought we were all ignoring him cause he sucked and filmed people's suicides #I've been... and you all probably have been... but why haven't we as a society ignored him?#and when I say burn; specially what I mean is I'd like the to burn under the weight of their own greed and hubris #our role in this is just to ignore them; just... stop giving them money or attention #but I'm so sick of this shit... how is it that these companies still sell tickets to any of their shit?#when will people get tired of being fed the same slop?

#seriously seriously one of the most beautiful pieces of music i have ever heard #i feel so conflicted thinking about this but i was always afraid to get more into shinee because of jonghyun #i remember the exact day he died when i was in high school and i remember feeling slammed with the news even though he was just guy from...#...clue + note to me and as i have gotten more into kpop in the past few years i have been there for all of shinee's comebacks from don't...#...call me on and i always kept them at a distance bc even though i thought they seemed so cool i was worried to get into them and always...#...feel like someone was missing. and now that my little sister has gotten so into them i have too #and it does feel like someone is missing all of the time and we watch so much content of jonghyun together that sometimes it hits me all...#...over again how unreal and bad it is that he isn't in the world with us anymore #i am so sad too thinking about how i almost didn't hear some of the most beautiful music out of the fear of grieving him #one of the most beautiful voices and i click with his words so so much #like he's my friend and i almost never got to know him :( and that thought it so much worse than the worry of having to miss him :(#it also makes me sick bc if it would have changed anything for him at all. he's still making so many people happy. he's still there for me.#i don't get this emotional every time i listen to him but sometimes it all hits me #music #Spotify
