im glad doc talked about in his new video the overwhelming amount of comments he’s got as this whole started as a accident prank war, tbh maybe getting them again, of along the line of: if he and grian weren’t on opposite sides as rivals in wars/story lines they’d be an unstoppable duo if they teamed up. and how that still could happen whenever that’d be, and how he never picked the role or filled in the role completely by choice, or thought he’d be a rival or expect how they are on opposite sides a lot. as he says, it’s just how it happens and plays out, how a lot of things happen on hermitcraft sometimes tbh. and how he does appreciate the work and effort and voice and attitude grian put, even all the way back in season 6 when he joined, of creating storylines and rivalries and him taking a leadership role in the hermitcraft youtubers group and community. of him (grian) coaxing and pushing & leading the others to join in if they wanted to, and then doc sharing it sorta was on him with beef, etho, and bdubs in season 5 with making the nho and still wanting to bring it back. just, idk, the appreciation and reminder that these guys are friends, that though they don’t personally collab via streams or other games etc, in their work and general fun they appreciate each other a lot and i love that. as a fan of both guys, who is :D & i can go absolutely insane at the mention of the nho, it makes me happy.

For eight long months, Grian had waited. Mumbo Jumbo was on a well-needed break, and by that point was ready to return any day…

But Grian just couldn't wait any longer. His desire to see Mumbo again came to a boiling point, and with Scar's help, he created a summoning circle, powered by thoughts of Mumbo and possibly something eldritch. It didn't seem to work, and Grian went on holiday for a few weeks.

Soon after he left, Mumbo returned! Watching from afar, Grian screamed at the injustice, the irony… But not all was lost!

As soon as Mumbo briefly left again, Grian found himself standing in that very circle of candles! And for just a brief moment, it seemed to him as if time had frozen…

After fixing his game animations, Grian found some copper left by Mumbo, and decided that it was finally time for a reunion! Breaking into the vault (though not in keeping with the rules laid out in their agreement, so not actually part of the game) he quickly set up a party for Mumbo's imminent return, and finally, at long last, the best friends are together again!

After the reunion, Grian returns to his true plan for the day: somehow acquiring the dragon egg while not stealing it from Pearl!

Borrowing the egg from Pearl's alien observation room, he takes it to a strange contraption on the edge of an End portal broken by a mushroom, using an inter-dimensional glitch to cause infinite dragon eggs to start appearing in the End! Once he's half a stack richer, he destroys the evidence and returns the original egg to its rightful place, both celebrating that he now has 32 of the rarest item, and lamenting that that technically makes it no longer rare at all…
