hc1701: These people are like a dog with a bone. They'll gnaw at it until something comes along to catch their feeble-minded attention. They're pissed because they know they're wrong but can never admit it, even to themselves.

- Yes, that’s what they remind me of (no offense to dogs, of course). I do however, sincerely believe that most of them, by now, really think this is all for “the greater good” of their country and that only they know the real truths and that without the Orange Man everything is fucked because they live in a “broken” country. They have been fed this “everything is bad, blame immigrants/whoever else there is who isn’t straight/white/cis” propaganda for years and years and years, they have been thoroughly brainwashed, and it is nothing but utterly frightening to see them in action against my favorite actor (and man I love the second-most). I do know that they’ll stop once they have something else to sink their teeth into, they NEED and WANT the feeling of something “fresh” to shred, but still. I just wish they’d let go now. I’m thoroughly exhausted by their hate.

currently working on: uhhhhh the cop-out answer to this is probably always “my god damn phd,” but it is going very slowly and i am very tired. that said i do need a new creative project soon or my brain will finally leak out of my eyeballs from looking at numbers and equations all day; it might be trying to do more urbex photography this year or it might be more traditional artwork idk

@hc1701, I've seen this book off and on for my entire life and it's like the heavens opened up and whacked me in the head with a putter, showing me this delight. It's one of a handful of TOS fiction books from the 1980s that I don't actually own. I'm going to have to source a copy for my collection.
