Quietly sneaking off of bed in the middle of the night for a midnight snack (as one very reasonably does) and getting jumpscared by Legacy completely sneaking up on you and looking over your shoulder curiously.

You can't leave Childe alone for five minutes. Nuh uh, he needs to tag along whenever you're going.

(He won't ever tell you but... they both get antsy when you're not in bed with them – to the point of having difficulty falling and staying asleep in long missions – and so they're hyper aware of your presence when you are. So waking up in the middle of the night with you missing can be startling enough to bring Legacy out by instinct, frantically searching for you in the dark.)

Though thankfully they immediately calmed down when they located you in the kitchen, looking for whatever craving hit this time.

Thus I present to you my latest thought: Lazy cooking and snacking with Legacy in the dark, giggling at being extra extra quiet (even if it's just the two of you, it's fun).

oh this *gestures to ask* this is beautiful

just imagine silently going to the kitchen in the dead of night, looking for a drink or something to munch on, and while you're filling your glass you hear a faint tapping noise on the floorboards. you turn and let out a surprised shriek when you come face-to-face with a curious Foul Legacy, tilting his head and letting out small trills. his fur poofs up as you yelp, whining and nudging his head against your shoulder to reassure you that it's just him, you're safe and sound... although the last part is half reassurance for him, too. you let out a breath, your heart rate slowing and hands smoothing down Legacy's fluffed up fur, and with swift movements he quickly snatches the food you were holding from your grasp, chomping and swallowing it with a triumphant chirp while you gasp indignantly, ruffling his lilac fluff in revenge. Legacy simply chitters out a laugh and nudges his head underneath your chin, your own laugh quickly joining his

you spend a good hour making snacks together, the moon slowly moving across the night sky as you talk in whispers for no reason apart from you want to. Legacy goes along with it, his coos low and quiet, only rising when he manages to steal a snack from under your nose. eventually you both begin yawning from fatigue, and he nudges your back until you relent and walk back to your room, stretching your arms. Legacy hops into bed and curls around you, resting his head in the crook of your neck and purring gently as you drift off into unconsciousness. but he doesn't sleep, not until he's absolutely sure that you're fast asleep in his arms. with a soft hum, the Abyssal transformation melts away, leaving Childe hugging you instead. he breathes out a sigh of relief and nuzzles his nose against your neck, finally at ease, and dozes off again

Far into a serious relationship, there's Something about laughing and joking with shuji about who loves who more. And he says it's undoubtedly him that loves you more, and you're asking him why, expecting a goofy response or something funny like he usually gives you, until he smiles gently, and honestly, the kind that's incredibly reserved and not at all like him and says "cos one day pretty girl, you're gonna find someone who actually deserves you more aren't you? You won't be needin' me anymore huh?"
