hi simblr, it's my birthday today! virgo supremacy! I decided to share one of my favorite recolors i've ever made (finally!!!). I sticker-ed up the City Living keyboard and added some other fun swatches. There is a functional version for use with the City Living EP, and a non functional deco version for both the floor and the wall! More info + download below the cut!

DETAILS:

This is a recolor of the keyboard that came with City Living, and the deco mesh separated by @pixlmonster. Unfortunately this means CL is required, I'm sorry! I was hoping the deco versions would work without CL but they do not. Mesh by pixlmonster is included.

There are 19 swatches. The first 6 are the more unique sticker-ed swatches, and some of my personal favorites. Swatches 7-11 are more patterned recolors, and the last 8 swatches are from @pictureamoebae's fluoro-pop collection. Sometimes you just need a neon pink keyboard, y'know?

I'll be super honest: It's been a year since I first initially started this project and I didn't do a great job recording where I got all of the stickers used. I apologize. Some of them were in game assets already, found via petaluhsims' sticker sheets. Some were found via google/freepik and some came from other places that I'm sure I'm forgetting. I made the parental advisory + seattle grunge stickers on the first swatch myself. Simlish fonts were found via franzillasims' font masterpost. Thanks so much to all of the original sticker/pattern creators, all credit goes to them. I just compiled a bunch of stuff together.

I dyed my hair recently so y'all have to suffer through my ideas on if/how the batfam dies their hair

Jason:

Ironically in canon he had red hair during his first introduction & dyed it to match Dick as Robin, but that got retconed. I don't really use this but of canon but now I will just for the hell of it.

Jason's hair is like his bio mom Shelia's, a red-ish blonde, kinda strawberry but definitely not. It's a very odd color & recognizable so he starts dyeing it black to avoid suspicion. Post Death & Resurrection he dies it the same shade of black as his mom Catherine's was, refusing to look like the same woman who killed her child.

He bleached his hair once & cursed god, has never done it again.

Dick:

Has actually never died his hair, & probably never will, prefers just going wild with the cuts because "It'll just grow back", did once frost the tips but didn't like how it looked & just cut them off

Babs:

When she was younger she dyed some strips purple for the hell of it, but slowed down when she became batgirl to try & keep her identities a bit more separate. Nowadays just dies her grey streaks out [they came in early like the rest of her family's] cause she likes having a full head of ginger.

Bruce:

Bruce secretly actually being a brunette is a lil headcanon of mine. Like his hair was mainly black but the Kane Brown[& Red but he doesn't have the red undertones] started to shine through once he hit like 30 & now his hair is Black & Black-Brown. He didn't really care to dye it until he started getting greys & decided that just wouldn't do & now his hair is Black-Black.

Kate:

Has never dyed her hair in a proper state of mind, but has bleached her hair blonde just to see if she looked like Beth [she does & it freaked her out, so she buzzed it all off]. Now just has her hair cut short & doesn't mind it going gray, does have the iconic red wig that she treats like her baby.

Steph:

Was extremely cognizant of her hair as a kid & never dyed it. Mainly cause it was one of her biggest traits & even her dad would notice any changes in it & recognize her on the spot. Now though she like styling it in fun ways & darkened it a bit just to experiment.

Cass:

Does actually dye her hair, & it's mainly just darker colors & off-blacks cause she likes how it looks in the light. But she has dyed underneath her hair for a two layer look & that's where she hides the neons & such.

Tim:

He dyes his hair, like to a wild degree. All about side identities & gets fully into character, Alvin is a red head/brunette? he's dying his hair. Carolina has dyed blonde hair b/c she had it as a baby & her mom kept dying it blonde even though her hair went brown at 2? Then that's what Tim has to do. Everything is meticulous & his bathroom is a mess. He does under dye his hair a nice red & has the top dyed an auburny brown/red. Sometimes goes blonde for the underlayer.

He's also completely immune to the burn of bleach now.

Duke:

Dyes his hair, but not the roots cause he cannot do the burn. He likes to have fun little shapes in his hair, like stars & such. The type of person to use his clippers to shave in shapes on his fade that match the vibe of the color or shapes. Gets away with all this defining stuff because like Cass & Tim he's wearing a full cowl & who's gonna police his swag during the day when he's the only one around.

Damian:

Doesn't dye his hair, at all but does like to help his siblings with their hair, mainly Cass, Duke & sometimes Tim, also helps Dick & Steph with new hair cuts. Secretly like it because it's basically dress up, & he's still a kid, & kinda sorta wants a cosmetology degree when he's older.

Bob Sheldon and Randy Adderson General Headcanons

HEY Y'ALL! WANT TO BE SAD ABOUT THESE GUYS???? READY! LET'S GO! This isn't romantic btw, just their separate character headcanons and then some friendship stuff Warnings: Mentions of alcohol, Anger issues, spoilers

Bob Sheldon

Bob really did love Cherry and while he didn’t understand some of the stuff she said he paid attention to her interests and everything. One time he and Randy went by a store because it was Bob and Cherry’s anniversary and they walked by the makeup supply. There Bob spotted the most bright neon red lipstick that will stain everything it touches and was like “she’s gonna love this Randy :D” Cherry loved that he thought of her but also knew for a fact she was never going to wear it.

He is one of the few socs who really feel things. He hides it most of the time but especially when he’s drunk his emotions come out. Though sadly he always felt anger the strongest. He sometimes envied the freedom greasers had, allowed to feel their emotions. Allowed to be wild. But he never wanted to be one, he had a lot of privilege that he wasn’t gonna give up.

Bob could be a nice guy, but he took things way too far on several occasions. He was constantly pushing past physical boundaries or rules. Breaking the law, jumping greasers, all that stuff. The final boundary just happened to be Johnny’s.

He was always real proud of his rings. He polished them whenever he could and loved showing them off. One soc told him that it was girly and got punched in the face so hard the rings left a mark. He’s also always got his eye out for nice rings. He once passed Dallas at a rodeo and stopped to complement his rings. Dallas just tipped his hat and kept walking. Cherry got Bob and her matching promise rings as a gift and if you asked him, they were probably his favorite.

He was a very charismatic person and lots of people loved having him around. Lots of girls had crushes on him, guys wanted to be besties with him. It was when he was drunk that he became the problem. When he was, his mind wasn’t in the right place to make good decisions. And he was mainly acting on emotions. But the guys who hung out with him saw him as a natural leader and followed everything he said. Only Randy tried to stop him from doing something bad once, and Randy was immediately shoved to the ground and cussed out. Which started their falling out.

During his whole “I’m gonna be the next Paul Holden!” phase, he pushed himself way too hard when it came to football. Practicing during all hours of the day, trying to run around the entire west side, etc. Cherry wasn’t dating him at the time but she still noticed him doing this (And she had a crush on him too) and tried to calm him down. She helped a bit but he just kept on going. Eventually Randy tried to talk to him and convince him to stop but it led to their biggest argument that led to their falling out. Randy told him he was never going to be Paul or Darry or any of the football legends and that he should be himself and Bob said things like Randy was just holding him back and he didn’t need him and yada yada. They got into a big altercation and Bob seriously hurt Randy. And that’s when it all hit him. He was losing everybody that mattered, and for what? A sprinkle of actual attention from his parents? Fame? Popularity? Legacy? The rest of that year was possibly the loneliest year of his life. But he kept going. Eventually he and Randy became friends again and Bob (though still obsessed with sports fame) got away from the really unhealthy practices.

Bob loves watching Cherry at the rodeos. He’s there at every single one, cheering her on. It makes him feel very proud of her and he showers her with compliments afterwards.

He is always upset when Cherry fights with him when he drinks. He knows she doesn’t like it but it’s his life! He always thinks she’s just being overdramatic about it because it's not that bad! 

His drinking was honestly becoming a problem. It turned from just a can or 2 to can he down an entire bottle of vodka in 2 minutes?! And as we know he became a worse person when drunk. Randy didn’t have so much of a problem with it since he was also usually drunk but then he started to notice Bob drinking all the time. Both him and Cherry started getting real worried but they weren’t able to do anything to stop it.

He’s really proud of his hair. It’s soft, the curls frame his face just the right way, and it just looks good on him. When he was younger all of his mom’s work friends constantly complimented him. So he is a bit prideful about it.

He was always craving his parents’ attention. They gave him everything they thought he wanted, but never what he actually wanted. Cars, clothes, etc. He always wished one day they would actually notice him and get him something because they know him. Like how Cherry knew how much he loves his rings and got him the promise rings. Or how Randy got him patches for his letterman jacket that he loved so dearly. But they never did. 

When he was younger he had a phase where he wanted to be a cowboy, running around the wild west. He had boots, a hat, a bandana, everything! He watched all the old western movies and even tried to drag Randy into playing cowboy games with him and the other socs. Eventually he realized he didn’t really care for the lifestyle of a cowboy and hung up his hat. He still watched westerns whenever they were on at the drive-in and it’s also why he loved rodeos so much.

There were 2 different Bobs. One was the one most socs knew. The natural leader, the football player, the high and mighty future business man, the angry drunk. The other was a wild and charismatic guy. The guy who loved his rings, throwing the biggest rocks he could into the river, and his girl. And his best friend too. But that guy was usually locked away. 

The night with Pony and Johnny was an especially bad one for Bob.He is NOT JUSTIFIED for trying to kill Ponyboy or anything. But his pure rage when he saw Cherry and Pony together was overpowering. He thought he was doing a good job with her! Trying to listen to her when they watched sunsets. He didn’t understand it all but he knew what it meant. Being there for her even when her mom was especially sick. Holding her close when she could barely see the light. And here she was, hanging out with a greaser! Just because he got a little drunk?! His emotions were very prominent when he was drunk so it made it all the worse. All he knew was that he was gonna teach those greasers a lesson.

Randy Adderson

People always read his name wrong and call him Randy Anderson. It gets really annoying to him but he’s grown used to it.

Him and Marcia were ok friends but they honestly didn’t really belong together. They were more our besties are dating, eh might as well. But he learned very quickly that Marcia was not particularly fond of Bob. And that was one of their main fighting points.

Randy’s parents are ok people. Not the greatest parents or anything, just your typical 60s parents. He’s closer to his dad and wants to follow in his footsteps if he can. That’s what he tells his dad. In reality he wants to follow his older brother and his wife who moved out to Florida to study tropical storms in that region. He really likes weather and wishes to be a meteorologist.

Bouncing off that, there was no proper storm chasing or anything (To my knowledge) really in the 60s but Randy low-key did that. Whenever it was tornado season you know he was driving out in his car, looking around for even the sign of a possible funnel cloud. He doesn’t find them too often but when he does he is ecstatic, even if they don’t touch down.

His most prized possession is his silver pocket watch. His grandfather worked as a train conductor and used it quite a lot. It was passed down to Randy’s father and then Randy. He takes it with him everywhere he goes and it’s always sparkling clean.

He’s always been a follower especially with Bob. So he’s picked up a lot of “his” interests from Bob. Bob starts obsessing with cowboys? Randy suddenly wants his own hat. Bob starts loving football? Randy wants to give it a try. Eventually Randy started to have his own interests but he still follows Bob for a lot of things.

It has never really been in Randy’s mind to envy or be jealous of Bob or the popular guys. Sure Bob was always more popular than him and everyone liked Bob. But Randy was never like “Well diggity darn it, I wanna be just like him >:(“ He was always really supportive and didn’t feel the need to be super famous in school or anything.

When it came to greasers, he was more open about them than Bob. Sure, he was always real quick to judge them but he didn’t automatically think “You live on the east side you must jump little kids and steal from old people!”. His older brother has always been a big inspiration for him and was a well-known successful soc. But he actually married a “greaser girl” named Dottie. Which started to make Randy realize that maybe not all greasers are bad. Which meant he kinda grappled with himself when Bob took him to jump Johnny. Bob insisted they were only having fun, doing it for kicks. And Randy followed him. Post-book Randy feels extremely guilty about it and wishes he didn’t just follow Bob blindly during situations like that.

His parents made him and his brother learn instruments when they were younger, Randy decided to learn the bagpipes. Why? He was 8, he saw them, thought they were cool, and now he knows how to play them! They are extremely loud and he would annoy his brother by playing right outside his room.

His dad travels around a lot and has collected many objects from other countries. They hang on the wall in his dad’s office where many unique things reside. That is where Randy spied the bagpipes. Him and his older brother would sneak in there and touch the different objects and try to use them. His father was particularly upset when he found out they dropped his pirate spyglass.

His brother is 3 ½ years older than him. His name is Roy Marshall Adderson and he and Randy share a lot of similar features. Unless you ask them, then they greatly disagree.

Randy goes over to England with his family because his grandparents and distant family live there. He has gone fox hunting a couple times with his family and hangs out with the dogs more than his actual family.

Friendship 

Bob and Randy have been friends forever. Both their dads were higher-ups at a big business and brought their families and stuff to the dinners and everything. And it isn’t exactly entertaining for 6 year olds. So they were both sitting and just so happened to ask their parents if they could go play by the stairwell if they were quiet and they met at the stairwell. They hit it off immediately because, I mean they’re 6. What are they supposed to do, beat each other up? They stayed best friends all throughout Elementary school and most of middle school. But they grew apart for a while after a fight when Bob decided to do his best to be the next Paul Holden. Bob wanted Randy to be the next Darrel Curtis with him but Randy didn’t want to change himself to fit those standards. So they had a falling out. Eventually they once again became friends at the start of high school and stayed so until Bob passed.

Bob had the biggest crush on Cherry all of middle school and Randy was his hype man. Randy wrote entire lists of reasons on why Cherry would say yes to Bob but he wouldn’t hear it. Finally, after they became friends again, Bob asked her out and on their second date made it a double one. Including Randy and the girl of his choice. Randy wasn’t all that interested in anyone at the time but decided to go with Cherry’s best friend, Marcia. She was smart, she was cute, what could go wrong?

Randy has dragged Bob out storm chasing before and Bob has enjoyed it. He’s less interested in the science and more about the thrill. Seeing this force of nature as it rips through fields is mesmerizing to him. They can get really close to them sometimes, def had a couple close calls. *THIS IS NOT SAFE BEHAVIOR!!! YOU ARE NOT REED TIMMER SO UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING DON’T DO THIS

yeahh overall i think what pulled you together was your shared anger and desperation for justice. This is an old one but I might, actually. There were a lot of mini-scenes (and sex scenes) that got cut from the final product of MM due to story flow issues. There's this one scene I cut that I am turning into an art piece instead where they have a bath one morning and Blake sees Yang's stupid rubber ducky collection and asks if they can use them. Then they order pizza and have it while in the bath because what is life if you can't eat pizza while taking a bath (don't @ me about cleanliness ok let the girls live a little)

I really loved that scene, and I'm sad it didn't fit anywhere, but maybe some of y'all might actually wanna read it?

IRL Sixsona Designs Pt. 2: Makeup Edition

Hey y'all! This is second in a series of a few extra sixsona posts that @lightleckrereins and I are doing this week. The first post is here, showing the real-life vinyl inspirations we used!

This time around, I'm doing yet another hypothetical: what makeup would be used for each sixsona design!! My list of makeup recommendations for Six cosplayers is probably the post I'm second-most proud of (after sixsonas ofc). When I was initially working on that I kept seeing makeup that would be perfect for some of our sixsona designs, so because I have absolutely zero chill of course I had to figure out the full makeup plots for each.

The basic rules were - one glitter - one eyeshadow palette - and two additional products to fill in any gaps, as needed (this included fun stuff like an extra glitter or liquid liner, but also practical things like additional eyeshadow shades when needed or a liquid base for more sheer colors)

i reread that and the bakery au and the Big Massive Epic AU and while my desire to edit and rewrite were strong, I was surprised at how much I still liked them

you know what's frustrating about TDF? all the frustrating shit. I mean, obvsly, but like if Jim Butcher wasn't THE most fucking cishet repressed boring male author (a field with a lot of competition) there'd be such a good core here.

on paper, so much of TDF is like a perfect formula for serial storytelling (and y'all know my ass loves serial storytelling)

i would love a redo on the whole thing with some tweaks. I would more explictly position Murphy and the CPD as the Bad Guys (bc boy howdy the series already did a good job of that without even trying, remember that time Murphy roughed up Harry while arresting him and chipped his fucking tooth? i bet i rmember that more than Butcher does)

I would love to have Harry and Marcone meet pre-series, before Marcone's rise to power, and have some kind of friendly relationship, passing familiarity with each other, before the Vargassi blowup goes tits-up and Marcone takes over the Outfit, that would make the complicated morality of "organized crime boss who is Clued-In on magic and thus is often a better option" even better

I would rework the entire Carpenter family bc I dunno what Butcher's intentions were with them, but the elevation of Michael and Charity as Can Never Ever Do Any Wrong Ever while also being direct representatives of Literal Christian God sure did get fucking uncomfortable over time, huh

i think instead of the hyperfocus on Winter vs Summer, I'd work with smaller, more modern court structures. the Neon Court, the Guild of Stone and Hands, stuff like that jockeying for position. that would allow for more power escalation without getting into the problem the series had, where EVERYONE you introduce somehow has to be even MORE powerful than the last person. that leads to dead-end storytelling imo.

BASICALLY what if TDF had the nuance and creativity of Matthew Swift. what if the Death Of All Cities came to Chicago. what of instead of magic and technology being mutually exclusive, you had practitioners who specialized in fiber optic and phone lines.

what if there were better recurring Arc Words and touchpoints.

ANYWAY I HAVE READ LIKE 25 CLASSIC TDF FICS IN THE PAST WEEK AND I'M MAD because I had two seconds of "should I just reread the books" then had to remember absolutely fucking not because they're terrible.

Mal closed his eyes and sighed.

"Aww, please Cap'n? Serenity ain't entirely fixed yet-"

"I thought-"

"- and it'll take at least another day or two for her to be right again. Please?"

"Come on, Captain," Book said, laying down his utensils, "let the kids have some fun."

Mal shook his head, denial clear on his face.

"The Alliance-"

"The nearest Alliance presence is the Reliant two planets over," Zoë off-handedly said, ignoring the Captain's wounded look.

"Mutiny. Y'all are-"

"I heard there's some good company near the town square iffin ye catch my drift." Jayne wiggled his eyebrows much to Mal's disgust.

"Jayne. Don't ya ever-"

"Do you want to go shopping with me River?" Inara asked, ignoring Mal's spluttering. The Captain was getting really annoyed at being ignored.

The girl nodded eagerly, her mouth full.

"Can I-"

"Maybe we can find you a slinky dress lamby-toes," Wash leaned in to whisper to his wife. She smiled and pecked his cheek.

The conversation rose and reached a crescendo and Mal had had enough.

"Bi zui!"

Everyone looked at him with wide eyes, the only sound the humming of Serenity's engine.

"Fine! Y'all can go to the festival! Just, just stop with the telling, I don't want to know."

Slowly the conversation trickled back and Mal turned to Zoë.

"Ya planned this, didn't you?"

She smiled and nodded at Book.

"I had some help."

"Relax, Captain," Book said, his eyes sparkling, "I'll be sure to keep an eye on them."

Mal nodded, satisfied, and turned back to his flavourless meal.

Maybe, it wasn't such a bad idea. They could find some fresh stuff to eat at least. Anything would be better than what was on his plate.

Differences Between the Two

+ Addison with Puppet Heads have more sharp and triangulated noses, and their teeth stop mid-mouth.

+ Addison with Plush heads have more rounded noses, and their teeth fully show in their smile. Plush Addisons can also close their mouths

+ Plush Addison can have fluffy fur. This is definitely self indulgent on my end. Addison with plush bodies can have fluff, but not as intense as a full Plush Addison

Similarities

+ Both Plush and Puppet Addisons have 4 digits (3 fingers, 1 thumb), and no visible toes.

+ Addison can open their eyes, and they glow! Not like spotlights, more akin to neon lights

+ Addisons' eye colors are very unique! They're the color of them, but inverted! In Spamton's case, since he is a White / Albino Addison, and has Heterochromia, his eyes are simply the color of his parents (not inverted).

+ If an Addison's eye color is dark, their pupils will be white!

(Not Listed. Some Facts Talk About Some Bodily Fluids (more just the tears and blood) )

+ An Addison can cry normally, but their tears are static, regardless of if they're plush or puppet.

+ Addisons bleed black. If a Puppet Addison gets injured, and cotton is exposed, it's also considered blood.

+ If you see a Plush Addison with a patch, that's basically equivalent to a scar on a person. If you see a Puppet Addison with black cracks, that is also equivalent to scars.

There are so many cool things in my WR, but the view from my window is by far the prettiest. My WR takes place in a cyberpunk city. Flying cars, neon lights, skyscrapers, and endless rain galore! The rain hits the city in a way that makes it glow. It's eternal night, so the stars are always sparkling. I also scripted that instead of the moon, we see Saturn! I thought that'd be a super cool thing to experience.

Now, the best part; my room! My WR is basically a singular bedroom because I've always found those to be particularly comforting. Bedrooms are where you can be your authentic self and express your creativity, and since I don't have one in this reality, I thought it'd be the perfect thing to center my comfort space around. There are so many amazing gadgets in my room! I have a reading corner, a gaming/streaming PC, a LIFA mirror that acts as a closet, and of course, my TV. The TV might just be the thing I'm most excited to explore, because it has an endless library of shows and movies to watch. Included here is also my bed! It's the most comfortable thing in the world, supporting my body in the best way possible while feeling like an absolute cloud. Oh, and my window! The image I provided isn't exactly how it is in my WR, but it's the closest thing I can find.

Y'ALL, THIS BATHROOM?? OMGGGG First of all, it's big. There's the main part of the bathroom, with the regular stuff like a shower and tub. Then there's an entirely different section which is literally just a spa. There's a jacuzzi, a pool, a station with lotions and skincare products, ALL OF THAT! I'm so excited to experience that jacuzzi. I've never been in one but they look insanely relaxing

this isnt a request but it was b.yakuya's birthday the other day, and y'all know i had to write something for him,,,

TLDR: b.yakuya, who normally doesn't eat fast-food, forgot his lunch at home.

Byakuya tapped his pen against his perfectly-polished mahogany desk, a scowl etched onto his face. Lunchtime had arrived at Togami Corp, and his stomach rumbled in protest. Usually, a perfectly portioned bento box, meticulously prepared by his personal chef, awaited him. Today, however, a misplaced cufflink had stolen precious minutes from his morning routine. The bento box remained on the counter at home.

Grumbling under his breath, Byakuya grabbed his wallet and walked out of his office. As he walked, he pulled out his cellphone and sent a quick text to Makoto Naegi, his boyfriend and employee whom he usually spent his lunch break with in his office:

“I am going to pick up food at the fast food restaurant across the street. We will not have much time to eat. I forgot my lunch.”

Byakuya headed down the stairs. His phone buzzed in his hand, so he looked at the message that appeared on screen.

“REALLY? the one with the huge burgers? lol good luck! get me something 2 :P big beefy burger w cheese and a side of onion rings plzzz, ill meet you in ur office”

Byakuya sighed theatrically as he typed a response:

“If I contract some sort of food-borne illness, I'm holding you personally responsible."

Sooner rather than later, Byakuya found himself standing in front of the fast-food joint. The neon glow of "Big Beefy Burger" cast an unusual orange hue on Byakuya’s face. He wrinkled his nose, the air thick with the scent of sizzling grease. "Does this establishment adhere to even the most basic standards of hygiene?" he drawled to himself, his voice laced with disdain as he reached for the door. 

He strode into the bustling fast food restaurant with a mix of curiosity and anxiety. It was a far cry from the homemade foods that his personal chef made or elegant dining experiences he was accustomed to. He failed to see the appeal of consuming such greasy and unhealthy food, but Makoto seemed to love this stuff. With a resigned sigh, Byakuya placed his order, opting for a burger combo much to his own dismay, and Makoto’s order.

And soon, he found himself heading back to his office. The aroma that hit Makoto when Byakuya swung open his office door wasn't the usual sterile scent of expensive cologne. It was a heady, greasy symphony of salty onion and questionable burgers. Byakuya held out the greasy bag with a look that read ‘get this away from me, or I might die’. Makoto laughed at the other’s expression, taking the greasy bag from his hands.

“Thanks, ‘kuya,” he chirped. Makoto took the contents out of the bag and placed them on his desk: two double-patty "Big Beefy Burgers" with a side of onion rings that could feed a small village. Byakuya stared at it, his usual composure cracking slightly. 

"Makoto, are you certain these…portions…  are meant for one person?"

Makoto chuckled. “Yes. If you can’t eat it all, save it or throw it away.”

Byakuya paused before letting out a snort. Throwing away food is like throwing away money. And besides, a Togami never backed down from a challenge. The blonde maneuvered to his leather office chair after pulling up a chair for his lover. And once he sat down, the pair unwrapped their burgers. Icy blue eyes flickered over to look at Makoto, who was already digging into his burger like he hadn’t eaten in months. So, Byakuya picked up his own burger.

“This is barbaric,” he murmured to himself, hesitantly taking a bite. The first bite was...surprising. The juicy patties, the melted cheese, the soft bun – it was an explosion of flavor Byakuya hadn't anticipated. He found himself taking bite after bite, a blush creeping up his neck as he realized he was actually enjoying it.

Perhaps a little too much.

It became a pattern: chew, swallow, repeat. Byakuya was starving, and he too found himself eating like he hadn’t eaten anything in months; he was barbaric. He, lost in the moment, ignored the growing tightness in his stomach. It wasn't until the last greasy onion ring that a monumental burp accidentally escaped his lips, a sound so unlike his usual refined demeanor that it made Makoto snort.

"Was that a burp?" Makoto asked sarcastically, trying to suppress a laugh.

Byakuya cleared his throat, his pride wounded. "S-Silence.”

Makoto couldn't help but chuckle, finding Byakuya's rare display of vulnerability endearing. "You don't have to hide it, Byakuya. It’s okay to… be human.”

Byakuya remained silent. His discomfort only grew worse as seconds passed, his stomach protesting against the heavy food he had consumed. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, trying to hide his distress from Makoto, but it was clear that his boyfriend was onto him.

“You don’t look so good,” Makoto said with a frown. “Are you okay?”

“Fine,” the blonde mumbled, another smaller burp following.  “Just fine…” 

“Maybe you should drink some water,” Makoto offered, looking at his bag on the floor with his water bottle in it. The shorter male quickly fetched it, bringing it to Byakuya’s desk. "Here, take small sips.”

Byakuya took a sip, his throat constricting with a loud hiccup. He flushed again, muttering an apology. Makoto simply smiled. "Don't worry. You're cute even when you're a hiccuping mess."

Somehow, he turned even more red, his cheeks burning. Makoto lightly patted his back, forcing another bassy belch from the heirs mouth before he could catch it, punctuating his discomfort. Makoto didn't laugh this time. Instead, he rubbed Byakuya's back soothingly before saying, “Aww, I’m sorry, ‘kuya…”

Byakuya couldn't help but feel grateful for Makoto's unwavering support, even in the face of his most embarrassing moments. And, despite his predicament, couldn't help but feel a flicker of warmth at Makoto's attentiveness.

Can I just say I'm proud of myself. I'm gonna rant a bit.

I'm also going to be using voice to text so if it gets up a bit verbose or if the grammar is off I'm sorry.

I keep forgetting a lot of the times that I'm a solo creator. I've only paid people to do art for my game twice and commissioned somebody to do the main theme for the GRIM soundtrack once.

All of the graphic design and artwork that you see in my handbooks are all done by myself. Only the covers to mourn and Riley's road trip in Neon Nights were done by artists. I've done everything else. And it's really cool to kind of understand that I put so much work into my games and I'm just one person. I'm also taking many steps to learn how to Pace myself and not force myself to work and I found my quality of games has increased almost doubly if not triply.

It's really nice to do things when I want and to have people who follow my games who understand that I'm disabled and will always reassure me that there's no pressure when it comes to release dates and stuff. I will have the Palace of eyes come out and I will have the physical editions of GRIM come out but this stuff takes time for one person to do and especially one that's disabled. And y'all know that and y'all understand that and I'm so thankful for that.

I also want to say that a lot of people who follow my games and who have done reviews have been the coolest f****** people on planet earth. Everyone that I've talked to has been pro Palestine and has been trying to do some advocacy work of some kind. I really dig that a lot. Also I've kind of cultivated a very neurodivergent and trans audience and I really dig that. I also dig the CIS people and the dudes who follow me but there's just something magical and special about having trans and queer people keep up and follow with your games.

I don't know I'm just really really thankful for everyone and I'm feeling a lot of love right now and I know that my bundle is probably not going to reach its goal but the fact that I was able to raise that much money and y'all purchased my games really means a lot to me. Like I was on the verge of breakdowns nearly every single day. My job is one that is self-employed and makes just a little bit above rent and groceries every month. With the money that I've raised I may not be able to get therapy and psychiatry but I'll be able to afford my meds and I will be able to enjoy life a little bit more. I went and saw Predator today at a local nonprofit theater and that was because of y'all. I wouldn't be able to pay for that stuff if it wasn't for you. So I promise you that all of that shmoney that y'all gave I'm not going to waste and y'all are going to get some pretty dope stuff in the near future.

I wish my trans and queer and neurodivergent and disabled people that are following me and who just may stumble across this post an absolutely magical evening and just know that rest is needed that you are worth it and that you were loved even if it's just by some rando game designer on the internet.
