Clari I'm on the fence ... do you recommend love and deepspace? is the battle system hard or the gacha crazy (bad)? I keep seeing ads and clips here and there but FHDJSKAFHDJKSA TBH I WAS JUST GONNA SKIRT BYE BUT THEN I SAW THAT YOU LIKED IT and decided to do a double take. I'm so curious but LOL what if I get sucked in? However your taste has always been immaculate so im super curious about your opinion and experience with it so far!!

AH ANON! well, first and foremost, i love the hell out of it so far, so i’m going to preface this with saying that i’m most likely biased hehe

okay so!! it’s hard to talk too much about the gacha since the game has only just come out (and i’ve only been playing for 7 days!) but at this current moment they have a ton of events going on to celebrate launch so it’s fairly easy to earn items + materials from those. i don’t know how easy it’ll be in the future, but one thing i’m really loving is the fact that you can buy wishes (pulls) from the shop using in-game currency that is also (atm) easy to earn.

there’s actually a ton of stuff you can buy using in game currency, though this is slowly revealed to you as you unlock more and more currencies (there’s diamonds, heartsand, stardust, chocolates, oracle dice) and there’s only a few outfits locked away behind actual real life money.

they make it difficult to get sucked in, because chapters are locked behind specific levels. for example, for two days i was stuck waiting to unlock chapter 6, because i was level 41, and you have to be level 42 to unlock it. this is kind of the only gripe i have with the game at the moment, because earning exp to level up can only be done through daily tasks, and you always earn the same amount of exp every day—meaning the higher level you become, the longer you have to wait to reach the required level to unlock the next chapter. i’m hoping they’ll introduce more ways to earn exp soon!

other than that, i love it so much. i love all three love interests, i think the writing is fairly good for an otome game (it isn’t super cheesy or cringe) not only in dialogue but in story and all of the other reading material they provide you with (and it’s a LOT!). i love the world building as well, i think it’s quite well done!!! you learn a lot through diegetic sources, (news articles, notes, anecdotes, etc) which i think is super cool. i think the characters are distinct from one another (especially in their texting styles, which is another thing i found super cool; i love rafayel’s absolute lack of fucking punctuation) and well developed!! all of the material you can unlock with them using memories (the cards you pull for, basically) is super super cute, and there’s a ton of that, too. honestly, in terms of material, it’s a little overwhelming especially at first. but the game unlocks features slowly with you, and the tutorials give you a good grasp on everything!

i don't find the battle system difficult at all, especially if you play through all of the training they have, and it’s actually quite fun!!

honestly, i’d say give it a try before all of those events end and see if it’s something you’d be interested in!! at this current moment, you literally won’t be able to be sucked in after like, your first day playing, because the game will lock you out of the next chapter, like i said. it’s a good time to just feel it out and take it for a test-drive, so to speak!

Will has big emotions and he’d be very vocal about them too. He’d always be telling you or doing little things to show you how he feels.

He pays attention to things you like and love and makes sure to keep them in mind and use them when he wants to make you feel special.

For example: making your favorite food, bringing your fav snacks home, taking notice of what movies you seem interested in when you see movie trailers so he can take you to see them.

If you see a clothing item you really want but don’t wanna spend the money on yourself, he’s buying it for you. Even if it’s a cheap $15 t-shirt.

You argue with him and tell him not to buy it but he wants his baby to have whatever she wants.

He takes you to get your nails and toes done. He’ll hint strongly that you should get acrylics if you don't have long nails because he loves it when you scratch his back or sides. 

If you text him and tell him you’ve had a long/bad day at work he’s using his key (if you don’t already live together) to take the dogs out and feed them so you don’t have to.

He’s also making sure your apartment is clean so you don’t have to worry about a thing when you come home but cuddling up on the couch with him and watching anime/movies all night.

When he’s in love, he’s very touchy-feely. He smothers your face with kisses. He’s always holding your hand and has his hand on your leg or thigh when you’re sitting together. He wants to be in your space one way or another.

He loves to cuddle but you notice how cuddling with Will changes when he’s in love with you. At first, you cuddle together on the couch or in bed with your head on his chest and his arm around your shoulder. The more time you spend together, cuddling turns into more of a connection. He’s enveloping you completely, turned towards you, your legs are intertwined. 

He’ll ask you to lay on top of him so he can feel your entire body weight on him. It’s not sexual, it’s purely for the sake of being close to you and to feel connected to you. He rubs your back gently and kisses your head. You lay there together and talk quietly or just enjoy the sound of each other’s heartbeats.

He also loves to just crawl between your legs and lay his head on your tummy and chest. Once again, it’s not sexual. It’s intimate but in a bonding way. When you wrap your arms around him, he feels safe and happy. 

Will dance with you in the kitchen while you’re cooking together, when you’re doing chores together, or anytime the mood strikes him. He sings to you, smiling and pushing the hair out of your face. He’ll twirl you around and pull you back in, dipping you down and kissing your lips softly.

He’s always taking photos or silly videos of you to keep for when he’s not with you or on tour. He wants to be able to see your face or hear your voice when he's away.

If the photos/videos are appropriate he’ll send them to his friends to brag about how great his girl is.

Will calls his cats his “little chickens” and you made a comment about how you wanted to be his chicken too. He thought it was so adorable he HAD to start calling you his chicken too.

His cats are VERY important to him. He loves them and it’s important you love them and vice versa. When he comes home and sees you laying on the couch asleep with them cuddled up to you, he has to stifle his cuteness aggression noises (iykyk), and he’s probably going to wake you up anyway because he’s sliding in to cuddle up with the three of you.

Speaking of his cuteness aggression noises, he makes them whenever you send cute snaps or wear something cute, like matching pj’s with him on Christmas (yes, he’d do this with you because he loves you hehe)

He sends you cute texts messages:  “I love you, chicken. Have a good day ♥️” “Need to see your pretty face, baby 🥺" “Look at my pretty girl. I can’t wait to wife you up one day 😍” “Good morning beautiful ♥ ️about to head over, do you want a coffee?”

When he’s missing you really bad, he’ll start with the baby talking. He’ll send messages like “wuv you 🥺”.

Speaking of baby talk, that’s another indicator he’s falling HARD for you. 

He will make playlists with songs that remind you of him and send them to you. Or just playlists of his favorite songs in general. Music is important to him and he wants you to listen to his favorite songs to get to know him better.

Levi and I currently live in Marley (What's left) in a coastal town where the streets finish at the beach.

Levi, though he doesn't admit it, is still afraid of the elevator. He just can't trust it. It jars him when it quivers right before stopping, and he hates it's tight and stuffy. He prefers swallowing the pain in his leg to risking getting stuck and climbs the stairs up to the third floor. And it is worse when the chains start to screech pleading for maintenance. In his defense, he claims it is a great exercise. He takes his time and says hi to the brats who live in the second floor. Sometimes he brings them desserts from the tea shop.

Levi loves sea food, specially shrimps. That is why I took some cooking classes with Niccolo. Steamed, stir-fried, tempura, in pastas, salads, rice and ceviche, I had to learn every preparation. Though we usually eat at home, we love trying new restaurants in town. From fancy to fast food. Once I tried to cajole Levi to a street food stall but he refused, questioning their cleaning procedures.

Levi owns a tea shop downtown that has been awarded twice by the city's chamber of commerce for excellence, quality and service. He was interviewed and his photo appeared in the newspaper, with Gabi and Falco thumbing up behind him. We still have the clippings of the articles, and Levi had the stars framed. He spends all day drinking tea, doing accounts, making payments to suppliers, bossing everyone around, the latter his favorite. When he loses his patience, he jabs the staff with his walking stick on the back of their knees. He also likes to go on Sundays to the spice market where herbs and spices from all corners of the world are found. He takes them home and experiments with them to develop new blends. Although sometimes we have purged by accident.

Meanwhile, I work at the post office right across the street and in my break time we had lunch together in his office and take naps.

We spend hours in the cleaning supplies aisle because Levi can't decide between lavender, cinnamon and apple or citronella. In any case, he decides on all three. One day after work, he brought home a wooden barrel with a crank handle. He explained that it was for washing clothes, although it took me a while to understand how it was operated. He acquired it at a home novelty fair after the inventor convinced him by promising to make our lives easier. I thought it was a scam, but he made it work! It really saves us time and I don't have to ruin my manicure anymore.

On my last birthday, Levi got me a gramophone. We love dancing in the living room despite our clumsy feet, and we’re often off the beat. But who cares, with a drop of wine sprinkling the mix, we hardly notice it. I’ve been collecting discs from thrift stores and garage sales, cramming our place, so Levi felt compelled to build a box to store them safely.

As you might guess, Levi is little fond of PDA. He only feels confortable holding hands, however, from time to time I’d steal a kiss to tease him. He grunts and mellows right after, blushing like a teenage boy kissing his crush for the first time. In private, on the other hand, he’s embarrassingly clingy (don’t ever mention it). When we’re reading in the sofa, he’d snuggle on my chest and loves it when I drop kisses on his head and coddle him. He loves hugs from the back and unexpected kisses on the cheek. Levi is milk with sugar but needs to keep a reputation.

We love traveling. For our honey moon, we visited a tropical island in hizuru. Roasted on the beach all day. He’s still wary of the sea water, can’t stand the slimy animals brushing his legs. But he enjoyed the scenery, the food, drinks and long loving sexy sessions in our suite with ocean view. We’ve been to other places, even though the voyage makes us seasick. We’ve seen temples, museums, archeological sites, lavender fields, all captured in photo albums.

Levi and I live a slow, tranquil life after the war. I think that we deserve that respite. <3

and they sit there for a while laughing and sharing stories before mick and gina find them and join almost instantly regretting it because their mom is telling embarrassing childhood stories of them to their newest family member

from that day forward bon calls corrina mom/mum and before long it’s normal to hear bon happily yell “mum!” after looking up from her paperwork and getting up to greet her. it’s only a surprise when bon greats her with a “hi grandma!” instead of the usual greeting and then the whole paddock is in chaos (well, more than it usually is)

I feel like hot garbage today for reasons I don't understand. So I'm just going to tell you a little about what happened today, and then I'm going to show you some pictures that I didn't get a chance to show you yet, and then I'm going to show you a Tumblr post with a piece of art that reminded me of you.

I rambled a lot in therapy today. I didn't feel like I had anything of substance to discuss.

I briefly saw Bn and the dandelion-haired man. We talked a little, but my head felt like it was full of cotton fluff. I wasn't able to retain most of what was said. Bn was waiting for me when I arrived in my car, and he showed me a couple of crystals he carries, as well as a small collection of bracelets made of spherical semiprecious stones. It was pretty neat! But my senses and my mind were dull and cloudy; I couldn't muster up any focus for shit.

The dandelion-haired man sent me home with a package of Jaffa Cakes, though. I had never seen or heard of them before today. Here's what the package looks like:

They're a spongy cookie slathered in sweet orange jelly with a chocolate coating covering the orange jelly. I took one bite and knew immediately that this would be one of J's favorite things! And so I went home and gave him one, and my assessment was absolutely correct.

And then it was time for physical therapy. I was given a new exercise. It's supposed to work my lower trapezius, I guess. Mostly it just makes my right ring and pinky finger feel weird and tingly. 3 sets of 10 repetitions. Guess I'll be trying that for the foreseeable future and hoping that something good happens.

…And in a week's time, I get 4 teeth removed. Unless they reschedule me again. Guess we'll see…

I don't have a whole lot for you. I'm sorry about that. I've felt like hot garbage for most of today for unknown reasons; objectively, today was pretty great. For some reason, though, I still feel like hot garbage, despite having taken a nap. So... Which Link does Dink look like? I defaulted to OoT dink in the “and who’s that babe?” reblog, but is there one he specifically looks like?

I also have some thoughts I want to share about the dark Link in Zelda 2, the OG. He isn’t really a dark Link from what I can tell? He is summoned by a not evil man who wants to test Hyrule for one, and I suppose his only point for existing is to guard great powers like the triforce (as that is what Hyrule gets for defeating him), and all he does is copy everything Hyrule does.

If that version of Dark Link were in Player’s Aid, would they still fight? This has been ruminating in my head for days, I’m honestly curious on your thoughts on how he’d interact with Player beyond fighting.

I've seen a lot with the Dink that most people write/draw him looking like Time? (Which makes sense since his first debut was with Time) And I usually see fanart of younger Time.

But that's not what I have planned for Dink, seeing as he's supposed to represent the darkness of all the Links I have it planned that Dink doesn't really have a set form? Unless it's an amalgamation of them all

I did a quick bit of research just so I could answer this question and have come to this!

That Shadow in Hyrule's game is not Dark Link! There's about 3 categories of shadow based enemy Links.

Shadow Links - Made from Ganon's hatred and evil thoughts manifesting in the Dark Mirror in the form of Link! A dark reflection of Link- Four's Shadow counts as this! He's not a clone, but more like a twin brother raised by Ganon to hate Link? In layman's terms at least.

Dark Link - The evil reflection of Link! He's not just another monster but actually Link himself. He's construction from Shadow magic (and thus is why he Is still called The Shadow, but the Links) I guess the best way to describe him is He's Link's evil clone.

Link's Shadow - As the name said, he's literally just Link's shadow. There's nit much on the wiki but my guess is the old man used magic to use Hyrule's own Shadow against him as the ultimate test to see if he was strong enough to have the triforce of Courage. (I mean he did defeat Ganon so I don't see why Link needed that test but okay)

I think Link's Shadow probably does later inspire the creation of Dark Link tho.

So from that, I feel like Hyrule's Shadow would probably be pretty docile with Player. Sure, they'd freak out at first until they realise that it's just Rulie's Shadow so they're safe. Pretty sure the Shadow is also a nod back to Peter Pan as Hyrule is supposed to be loosely be based on the boy? So, another guess I have is that Hyrule's Shadow could mirror Hyrule in a personality way and could be just as smitten as Hyrule is with Player?

Kai's Really Inaccurate Ranking of All the Dearly Beloved Versions

Days - So uh yeah this is my favorite. I don't hear this one talked about enough, and it makes me sad. I kinda associate the main instruments of it (flute, piano, and song string instrument I can't put my finger on the name of) as Roxas, Axel, and Xion. All doing their own parts and intertwining their paths before being pulled away once more. I'm certainly looking too deep into this song but yknow what it's a song that deserves to be looked into because it's just that good. I could listen to the Days DB for literal hours and never be sick of it, and likely cry a lot during it too but whatever.

2. MoM - I've got a story for this one. MoM was my first KH game, and I truly didn't know this song even existed because I never stuck around the title screen. I had 100 hours in MoM before I realized this song existed, and I CRIED. My cousin was there, she can confirm. I feel safe listening to this song, it's the song I listen to when I'm about to lose it and just need something to pick me up and idk make me feel better. I've never gotten so emotional listening to such a happy song before.

3. KH1 - The waves are such a great touch, it's so cozy. It's a great way to start the series, you instantly feel at home.

4. DDD - This one started this whole ranking thing. I love this one, I love it so much. I don't like DDD, I kinda despise it, but this is just so special. It's a damn WALTZ. And the way it grows on itself, it's stunning. I want this played at my damn wedding day.

5. CoM - It's a personal favorite of mine, I might not like the game but this is special for me. I wouldn't be able to tell you why, it's just comforting, like a big giant hug while it watches you suffer through the cards.

6. ML - THE CHOIR GUYS. THE FCKN CHOIR. It's just so GAHHHH I'm so hyped for this game MISSING LINK WHEN???? Like oh my gosh they went off with this song I hope this is actually the song that plays in the opening I kinda doubt it because of how absolutely extra it is but I just adore it. The claps and stomping is such a good touch

7. KH3 - This one is just so sweet, it's gorgeous. Bringing back the waves, ugh the WAVES. I'm a sucker for the waves. I wish I just had more emotional ties to KH3 because this could easily make top 5.

8. Unchained Key - I forgot how much I loved this one I started it at number 11 and then it started to get fast and I got so into listening to it. It's just such a vibe, it fits the mobile games very well.

9. BBS - I've never gotten the hype around this one? Like it's alright, it's certainly good! But it's just kinda, idk there. It sounds nice but at the same time they all sound nice so it just makes this one average. I like it when the parts start changing, I think that's the highlight of the song for me.

10. KH2 - As of writing this I've deleted kh2s accidentally TWICE. Let me explain my controversial pick AGAIN. KH2 is my favorite video game of all time, the DB has just never done much for me. Sure it's special, but it's for some reason not held up by nostalgia.

11. UX - I don't know why this one doesn't work for me. It's gorgeous, it's so pretty, but also I dunno... it just kinda exists? Why don't I like this it's stunning??? I truly can't tell you why this isn't doing much for me, this one may just change with my mood.

12. Back Cover - Uh yeah I dunno it's fine. It's pretty, it builds on itself nice enough.

13. Re:Coded - I think this was one of my first times actually listening to the recoded DB. And like, I dunno it's fine. It sounds a bit like the kh2 one, only everything feels a little off. It doesn't have the charm of other DBs. Like it's got charm, but it's nothing really too special. It's like Re:Coded as a game. It's fine, forgettable, but fine.

Hope your new year has gone off to a kind, gentle start <3

This year my main goal is to pace myself. In all aspects of life, including writing, working, exercising, and resting. I've been thinking a lot about what I want my day-to-day life to look like, and I've drafted a rough schedule of what I would like to follow.

I feel as though the stress of the holidays has fallen away and, with it, the emergence of the bright new start of January have slowly eased away my winter blues. I feel safe and rested and ready to write regularly again, to come back to where I left off and return to the story like returning to a warm group of friends. I've been allowing myself space to write little drabbles of whatever comes to mind, not thinking too much of grammar and wording, only of creating a small piece of happiness before I start the day.

Despite the (freezing) weather that is Canada, I've been bundling myself up and driving to my favourite park and making sure I get out of the house for a breath of fresh air, even just 15 mins. Slowly, it's begun to do wonders for my mental health and I feel myself, well, feeling like myself again.

Working from home is amazing, but sometimes you feel trapped by the walls of your room and the walls of your mind. That's why I've been coaxing myself to go outside, even just for a bit, because it does help. I often worry about wasting gas or catching a cold or what-have-you, but all of that pale in comparison to looking after my mental health.

I realized last year that, because I've gotten to know my bbs more now, I actually feel like redoing parts of vol 3's plot XD So that's what I'll do after finishing up my current task of editing vol 2 draft 2. I also want to start brainstorming vol 4, mostly because I've been editing and rewriting since September of 2022, and, creatively, I am yearning to write something new X'D It's fulfilling to go back and polish up a draft, of course, but I do miss the magical feeling of coming up with something new. The excitement and wondrous joy of discovering where a new plotline will lead to, you know?

Towards the end of 2023, I began reading The Creative Act by Rick Rubin and, oh my goodness, it's now my creative bible (after Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way Every Day). It's filled with such gentle words of wisdom and, like, permission to just create and have fun.

I also reread the first 2 volumes of The Dangerous Convenience Store, and my most joyous discovery is that the fandom has nicknamed Gunwoo as "Ah-juicy" 🤣 I have the Mandarin version from Taiwan, so I had no idea what the English fandom was up to. That being said, still no word of the other volumes being translated in Taiwan 😭 pLEASE put me out of my misery, I need to know what happens next!!

I also started watching (of all things) All Creatures Great and Small, and it is just the wholesomest show ever! (The 2020 version.) Peaceful village life and cuddly animals~ Sigh~ Yes please~

Anyway, I hope this year you read and write and create things that make you happy! And look after your mental and physical health. And drink lots of water! And look at stars. And laugh big deep belly laughs. And accomplish one goal on your list (you can do it! 💕)

He was the town’s doctor, so if you caught a cold, he’d come take care of you like you were his own.

Once you got into highschool, Eren pretended to not know you. It hurt a little, but you soon got over it after you’d made a couple of new friends.
