A multidisciplinary exhibition curated by Nigerian-American writer and critic enums presents work by artists #LornaSimpson, #OlafurEliasson, #HaleyMellin, #KikiSmith #JennyHolzer, #PamelaPhatsimo, #BillieZangewa, #AdamaDelphine, #AmaCodjoe, #RashidJohnson and #CassiNamoda.

In the words of Okoro, the presentation ‘encourages us all to consider ways of decentering ourselves from the prevalent anthropocentric narrative, to reimagine a more intimate relationship with the earth and to renew our connection with the life-force energy that surges through all of creation, both human and more-than-human.’

#isolationartschool #isolationcreation , working on my head model piece to hold my #machineembroidery collage for my #bekindtoyourmind summer project. #upcycled an old wig stand with #papercollage using pages from a copy of the #brooklynrail newspaper I picked up at @momaps1 and I particularly liked the blackness of the #hauserandwirth advert for the skull part which will hold my textile piece, and an article about the recent #giletsjaunes strikes in France to cover the face. Had to add a #mask to tie in with my #mentalhealthawareness theme and this was made from a #hardrockcafe bag picked up from our #nyc trip in February.
