Books I will never read
1. Anything by Haruki Murakami, but especially Norwegian Wood.
I've read Kafka on the Shore halfway through and stopped. Also that one handjob scene....no. why. He's a huge misogynist who I do not want to support. I've heard about that one scene in Norwegian Wood with the father's picture...yikes. I like literary fiction the most, which means I want well-written characters meaning all of them should be well-written and have a soul, yes even the female ones. I saw that one picture of pseudo intellectual Harry Styles being in bed reading Norwegian Wood...at this point why? Why do we not question this? I sometimes wonder if this is all an inside joke I'm not into.
2. Any CoHo/Emily Henry/Tiktok romance book
No explanation needed. I'm in a happy relationship and I don't have a son with big balls.
3. Any splatterpunk book (Eric LaRocca's books, Playground)
I like disturbing books, I have nothing against brutal/disgusting scenes and such, but it has to have a purpose. You cannot write such sick, twisted things just for shock value, because you are a writer and should at least be a good one. Splatterpunk writers don't care about that. They write the most sick, twisted things that a human could come up with. It's not revolutionary but tasteless shock. Those people don't love literature, they love gore. It doesn't help that the vast majority of those authors are men and that they let their female and their younger characters experience a lot of pain. They get away with their blatant sadism and sexism by categorizing it as "splatterpunk".
4. That Icebreaker book
Not just bc it's a tiktok romance book, but specifically bc it reminds me of that one tiktok named Kierra I think who was widely sexist and rude and evil to a hockey player's wife just bc she said she didn't want her to make anymore sexual comments about her husband and the father of her child. Wild. You should definitely look into it.
5. A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
Torture Corn really. Straight women writes queer male characters are tortures them. We've all seen it, really.
6. Any self help book
Pure Scams. It is capitalist propaganda that your problems are based of your material conditions but are purely isolated from the rest of the world and as long you buy my book in which I give you a list of what to do, you won't be happy. When you give me your money, you'll be happy, really!
It definitely doesn't help that most of those authors are white, male and rich.
7. Books with queer male romance written by straight women
I'm not saying straight women don't have the capability to write well-written male queer characters, I'm just saying that there's a pattern...
I've come to this conclusion after reading the beloved "Song Of Achilles". There's a lot of critique I have with this book, mainly it's portrayal of queerness.
8. Any Books by J.K Rowling, including Harry Potter
Transphobic asshole and not that good of a writer.
9. Tolstoi's works
I'm sure he is great writer. Sometime when I'm old and grey I'll try reading War and Peace. But now, I'm too dumb for that.
10. Any of those celebrity authobiographies
I have my own life. I truly don't care and if I do I'll just watch some YouTube video instead of wasting my money. They're so painfully ghost written. Hate ghost written books, they can be so soulless. You can't really get an objective look at things bc the books are obviously biased. Look at that Prince Harry biography. You feel bad for him bc his wee-wee got frostbite without him actually addressing his partaking in the iraq war.

Anime Recs Pt 3
Hello hello! I’ve been sick on and off this month and had a blast revisiting my fave anime for this rec series. Following the queer friendly list and the sports anime list, I finally bring a selection of BL (boys love) titles. Most are Japanese 🇯🇵 except for Mignon 🇰🇷 and Tian Guan Ci Fu 🇨🇳 I’m not gonna lie, there’s a fair amount of adult themes and hardcore angst here, but you’ll also find sweet romance and a couple coming-of-age stories. One of my favorites from this list - Ai No Kusabi - is an old classic (I recommend the 1992 OVA series over the 2012 remake) and the quality is not the best, but all other shows are pretty recent and can be found online or on Crunchyroll. I initially planned for this to be my third and final rec list, but I got a few additional recs in the action/fantasy genre for a potential new list, if anyone’s interested? Stay tuned!
1. Ai no Kusabi (dystopian, tragedy)
Tumblr media
Summary: This futuristic tale is set in a world ruled by a super computer Jupiter, where its cyborg creations, the Elites, rule over the human populace. Iason Mink, a high-class "Blondy" elite from the capital runs into Riki, a "Mongrel" from the slums, and makes him his "Pet". As Riki learns of the dangers Iason faces by keeping him, he finds himself developing feelings for his master.
2. Banana Fish (mafia, tragedy)
Tumblr media
Summary: Set primarily in New York City in the 1980s, the series follows street gang leader Ash Lynx as he uncovers a criminal conspiracy involving "banana fish", a mysterious drug that brainwashes its users. In the course of his investigation he encounters Eiji Okumura, a Japanese photographer's assistant with whom he forms a close bond.
3. Doukyuusei (movie - school, romance)
Tumblr media
Summary: Rihito Sajo, an honor student with a perfect score on the entrance exam and Hikaru Kusakabe, in a band and popular among girls, would have never crossed paths. Until one day they started talking at the practice for their school’s upcoming chorus festival.
4. Given (school, music)
Tumblr media
Summary: High schooler Ritsuka Uenoyama is the guitarist for a band composed of himself, bassist Haruki Nakayama, and drummer Akihiko Kaji. He becomes a reluctant guitar teacher to Mafuyu Satō, a shy classmate, after repairing the broken strings on Mafuyu's Gibson ES-330. See also: Given movie.
5. Mignon (short series - vampire romance + the hottest smut you’ll see today!!!!🥵)
Tumblr media
Summary: Centered on BL Vampire themes, the story portrays Mignon, an underground fighter in love with his doctor, who is coincidentally a vampire. The doctor's revelation triggers complications as their relationship unfolds.
6. Saezuru Tori Wa Habatakanai | Twittering Birds Never Fly (movie - mafia, drama)
Tumblr media
Summary: The sexually masochistic yakuza boss, Yashiro, isn't the type to warm up to others easily. But when Chikara Doumeki, his newly hired bodyguard, catches his interest, he reconsiders his "hands-off" policy with subordinates. See also the side story: Don’t Stay Gold.
7. Sasaki and Miyano (school, romance)
Tumblr media
Summary: Shy and easily flustered Miyano harbors an embarrassing secret - he is a "fudanshi", a boy who likes boys' love manga. Intrigued, the clueless delinquent Sasaki requests to borrow one, marking a shift in their strange dynamic.
8. Tiān Guān Cì Fú | Heaven’s Official Blessing (romance)
Tumblr media
Summary: Crown Prince Xie Lian ascends to the heavens for the third time as the laughing stock among all three realms. On his first task, he meets a mysterious ghost who rules the ghosts and terrifies the heavens, yet, unbeknownst to Xie Lian, this ghost king has been paying attention to him for a very, very long time.
9. Umibe No Étranger (movie - romance)
Tumblr media
Summary: On an island off the coast of Okinawa, two young men meet on a beach. Shun Hashimoto is gay and aspires to be a novelist. He is interested in Mio Chibana, a somber high school student, and starts to flirt with him. Day by day, the two of them grow closer, but then, suddenly, Mio decides to leave the island.
10. Yuri!!! On ICE (sports, romance)
Tumblr media
Summary: Japanese figure skater Yuri Katsuki faces a crushing defeat during the Grand Prix finals and heads home, unsure of whether or not he wishes to continue his skating career. After a video of Yuri mimicking Russian figure skater Victor Nikiforov's routine goes viral, Victor decided to become Yuri's coach, much to the dismay of his coach, his fans, and his fellow Russian skater Yuri Plisetsky.

How they are: the basics
Summary: the role of each of them in the vampire hierarchy.
Tumblr media
Manjiro: The King
Overlooks all of them and makes sure they don’t get out of control. He doesn’t mind them having large appetites like himself, but he hates it when they’re sloppy and leave unnecessary messes. If someone was to binge eat and slaughter humans at an alarming rate he would send Haruchiyo to kill them since he doesn’t want their existence to be widely known. Since people come to him when they’re in trouble, he doesn’t have the luxury of moving homes and instead takes seasonal trips.
Haruchiyo: The Assassin
Even though he holds no power outside the vampire hierarchy, everyone treats him as if he did because although they don’t know what he does, they know he’s dangerous. He spends the majority of his time killing enemies, traitors, and gluttons. He doesn’t like making friends, outside the ones he already has, since people try to use his reputation to climb the ranks.
Tetta: The Grandmaster
He lives a life of luxury since he’s one of the highest paid members of the bunch, planning out their moves against other vampires that they battle for territory. He has no regard for others' well-being if they don’t have a high status and puts them in life threatening situations if he feels they’re no longer needed. He looks down on humans and only sees them as food unless they prove to be useful.
Haruki: The Prince
His family is wealthy and they’re the founder of the town where most of the vampires reside, so he gets treated with respect. He’s in control of a lot of lands and he allows the gang to use it for whatever reason Manjiro gives. He’ll never get caught feeding on someone because his family is picky with their blood. He buys his blood from Nahoya since he can provide a good variety.
Nahoya: The Devil
The only known vampire since he doesn’t care to put on a show of his powers to let his victims know how weak they are in comparison. He loves toying with them and never finishes them off, instead he takes them to his house of horror with his other victims. In his manor, he keeps a wide selection of people with different kinds of blood that he allows others to buy. It’s a great business because vampires can get blood without being found out in the communities they want to stay in.
Shinichiro: The Fool
He’s loved in the communities he travels to since he naturally has an intense amount of charisma. People treat him like a king, spoiling him with gifts and the most comfortable housing they can provide and he loves it. He wants to settle down, but because of his lack of restraint when he’s hungry, he ends up hurting the people he loves and has no other choice but to leave. He never learns from his past and rather than living with his grandfather he continues trying his hand at love, but it all ends the same.
Souya: The angel
As his name implies, he's one of the sweetest people you can come across. He doesn't start fights, instead, he tries to find a solution without it. The people around him do all they can to make him happy because they know when he grows upset, the puppeteer comes out of hiding. When he grows upset with someone's behavior and feels as if he can’t help them see it his way anymore, he resorts to taking their free will and adding them to his collection of puppets.
Mansaku: The wise one
He stays isolated in a large cabin that he's built in a snowy region. Even though he’s always home when you visit, he does travel often gathering information about all the creatures in the world. If you need to know how to handle any being, including titans, going to him can ensure that you make it out of the situation alive.
Danya: The oblivious one
She's your sister and unlike you, she isn't aware of the dangers of this world. It can be irritating when she calls you ridiculous, hearing you tell stories of your travels to intrigued townspeople, but you don't mind. In this world, ignorance can be bliss and you don't want her to freak out when she becomes aware of the creatures living amongst humans.
Reader: The human
You can never seem to stay in one place, always wanting to see more of the world. You’re always having encounters with beings that some people don’t even see once in their lifetime. It’s a miracle that one of them hasn't killed you yet, but how could they when you have a presence that gives them the comfort they never knew they needed? Then again, it won't always be enough to save you from their wrath.
