Happy BH6 month!

My goal this month is to finish up a lot of my unfinished BH6 art and to work very heavily on my fanfics

Starting right now, I will be working exclusively on the time-travel Obake AU until it’s finished, I’m pretty sure we’re within like ten chapters

might start posting this friday

After that it’ll be work on the Ghost’s Fury sequel, been saying I wanted to get the first third done before I started posting that and I do intend to start posting that this year

Also getting some of the other fics to the next 100 count

Let’s say five pages a day this month that’s workable

Also maybe restart with watching the series big shoutout to @atruehiro for being a true hero and sharing the videos disney went and did a purge on youtube so eeeee

now to also budget the fact that next week Hogwarts Legacy will also be eating up my time....

I think it’s so funny my parents never suspected I was autistic meanwhile I used to act like a cat up into my teens and I used to watch caturday meme compilations on the wii in the living room every Saturday and then eventually tf2 gmod videos (sometimes the same ones over and over) right there in front of them

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban (Gamecube) were my absolute faves. I think there are some slight differences in the PC and PlayStation versions (?)

To this day I don’t believe there will ever be a computer game as enjoyable as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on PC. It’s simply impossible to top. Hogwarts Legacy can go fuck itself.

Packing for Hogwarts

Just giving you guys a head’s up that I’ll probably be real quiet on social media for a bit because starting tomorrow I’ll be playing Hogwarts Legacy

I am very excited for this game I think the only other game this year I’m this excited for is the Breath of the WIid sequel

���But Kineil it’s problematic!”  Shush.  The game is purchased, the game has been purchased since early January when I told Mom about it and she whipped out her credit card, it’s an open-world Harry Potter game and I haven’t seen one of those since Chamber of Secrets for the PC ages ago and that one barely even counts.

“But Kineil you shouldn’t pre-order games.”  This is probably true!  In an era where games are famously rushed out half-baked with big day-one patches (looking directly at you, Pokemon), you should be very careful when buying games early on.

As such, I’ll be biting the bullet for you all and letting you know how gameplay goes, no politics involved.  I understand it’s Souls-like and I have no experience with that sort of game, but I’ll definitely let you know.  I have a degree in Game Art and have a general idea of how games are put together, so the reviews will mostly be centered around functionality.

Also, since CBR refuses to functionally cover this game out of fear of discussing JK Rowling, this will all be for free on Tumblr.  There’s a lot of political shenanigans and controversy surrounding the whole HP-verse, but normalizing the idea that we can disown a creator from their creation is a very dangerous path that I refuse to go down.

In other news, I would like to personally thank every single person who dedicated so much energy to hating Hogwarts Legacy.  If it wasn’t for them, I and so many other people would have never realized the game was coming out and bought it.  The game has topped every single chart it’s on thanks to their hard work.

Also to these people: “I can’t believe people can be so forgiving of a video game!”  My dudes you have clearly never been in the Pokemon fandom in the past twenty years if people can forgive scarvi’s buggy performance they can play through anything.

Once again I will be reviewing the game on Tumblr for free and giving a politics-free assessment of the game for everyone’s reading pleasure and so they can make their own decisions on whether or not they will play the game because people are unique and possessing of free will.  Mom suggests I also point you to my Patreon and Ko-Fi accounts if you desire to tip, but the content itself will be free and tagged with “Kineil plays.”

Unpopular opinion, but I kinda miss the times when cross-gen/multiplatform games were completely different games on different platforms Like Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for example, which had 5 unique versions made for GB, GBA, PC, PS1 and PS2/Xbox/GC or Transformers Revenge of The Fallen which had a unique version made for PS2/Wii, while PS3/Xbox 360/PC were the same.Among my favourites are Bionicle Heroes, which was a third person shooter on home consoles, first person shooter on DS and top-down shooter on GBA and Skylanders whose 3DS games were completely different game with unique gameplay, new story and offered its own form of enjoyment.I don't know about you guys, but I honestly find a certain charm with these cross-gen/multiplatform titles. While the "lesser versions" could be considered poorly made or not as enjoyable as the main game, some games offered their own form of entertainment that almost felt like spin-offs or expansions basically.Nowadays cross-gen/multiplatform games are usually either ports with graphical differences, remasters, or deluxe editions which isn't necessarily a bad thing and obviously the generational gap aren't as massive as back then, but still I kinda miss when they made completely different games that offers unique gameplay and double the fun, basically Submitted June 29, 2024 at 05:15PM by Frigid-Kev https://ift.tt/OFnxWJ7 via /r/gaming

OK. Just because it sometimes helps, doesn’t mind it is always right.

For example: I bought used copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for PC. Normally it can’t be played on modern computers because those can’t pass the old security measures within the game, so downloading cracked file and placing it in place of the og one one is a must Also, this game wasn’t re-released in any form since 2000′s so pirating + looking for ussec copies is now the only way play it.That’s understandable.

What is not understandable (at least for me) is openly suggesting piracy as an alternative to getting Hogwarts Legacy. First: second hand copies will be available some time after premiere. Second: fact that some fans pirated the game won’t affect Rowling in any way, unlike those who worked on it closely and who sell it. Third: even if one gets their free pirated copy, there’s still gona be safety measures inside the game that won't let them progress if the game detects it is a pirated copy..
