Thinking of a very specific scenario where Gwen has her workplace covered head to toe in Spidey pictures and Spidey merch because she originally lost a bet, but never took any of the stuff down after it was over because she grew attached to it, so her work area just makes everyone think she’s a huge fan of Spidey

That’s the setup, followed by a situation where Spidey has to team up with Norman for a science thing (neither one is happy about this) and they pass by Gwen’s area (although it doesn’t have her name written anywhere, it’s just covered in Spidey stuff) and Spiderman, being Peter Parker and having visited Gwen’s workplace before, knows it’s hers

Which prompts this dialogue: “How is Gwen doing? Staying away from tall buildings..I hope… ha ha..” -Peter, making an awkward joke based on that horrifying statistic they found out about most of other Gwen’s dying by falling, because working with an enemy is an awkward situation and he was trying to lighten the mood but failed

Norman doesn’t understand the reference, obviously, just takes note that somehow Spiderman is aware of his worker, and since he can tell which work area is hers, is aware that she’s a huge fan

Later on, there’s this dialogue: “If you really wanna get a superhero’s attention, go to their “territory,” get on a huge building, make a fuss so that they know you’re there, then fling yourself off, you’ll be in their arms before you know it!” -Gwen Stacy, making her own morbid falling off a cliff joke to cope while people brainstorm how to find a missing hero

Which leads Norman to the following conclusion: Gwen Stacy has been putting herself in danger on purpose to get Spider-Man’s attention

Now not only does he have to worry about holding an intervention for his son and his son’s friend who’s like a son to him about being so obsessed with Spiderman that they ignore their own safety, but he also has to hold one for his best employee!! What the fuck!!

so first of all i think i need to adjust the title because that is Extremely Long so i think i might go for Water, Sunlight, Tender Mercy or something more. truncated lskjdfs.

but this is a 9-1-1 fic that has been in my notes as 'garden fic' and essentially the concept is that may when she's in high school wants to start a garden in the backyard of the house. but she is in high school so her interest in this project dwindles rather fast and eventually she abandons it. buck takes an interest in it, though, and he ends up sort of taking over the maintenance of it. so it's this progression of scenes of buck just. showing up at the grant-nash house to work on this garden, particularly when he's feeling a little. unsettled or fragile or upset and wants to be in that environment, even if he can't quite articulate why he just wants to be there when he's feeling like this. (there, at the house, even if none of them are home.)

it follows a sequence of scenes where he has an individual moment with each of the members of the family and it unspools the way he's fitting into this dynamic as well, without even really realizing it. (it's also filling my 'childhood trauma' square for my bad things happen bingo card because that is looming in the background of the whole thing, even when it's not being directly acknowledged or addressed.) the garden is representative of a lot of things but mostly of his connection to the grant-nash family and the place he has with them, whether or not he realizes it.

The closer we get to TTPD the more I wonder if the eventuality of releasing rep tv down the line kinda gives her the ick lol

Watched Avatar the way of water again yesterday (at least partly) as one does and noticed something. There's this scene where Kiri is lying face down in the water just minding her own business watching something in the sand. But then Aonung comes with his 3 friends and starts bullying her, calling her a freak and stuff just because she is not a “real” Na'vi. It just kinda reminded me of the marauders attacking Sev in SWM despite him minding his own business, because he is different. But Kiri actually got “lucky” compared to Sev. Because her 2 brothers come to defend her. And by defending I mean first they try settling it with words (like Lily). But because Aonung and his friends don't stop (and also talk bad about Neteyam+Lo'ak and the rest of their family), they start punching them. And while I obviously don't like physical fights and I also don't want to say that Lily should have punched James (actually she should but not because it would have been the right thing to do but because I would have loved seeing it) but I do think Sev needed a friend like this. Also, what Aonung and his friends did wasn't as bad as what the marauders did (I still am angry at him for what he did but because it was less bad, and he grew more in this one movie than James did in 10 years I at least tolerate him). Like they didn't get physical with Kiri (only her brothers but after Lo'ak punshed Aonung first) or even tried to undress her (considering the Na'vi barely wear any clothing it would have been easy to do so, but I don'tknow how much they actuallycare about covering up).

This scene plus the fact I do think Kiri gives huge Luna and some young Sev vibes, it's actually no surprise she is one of my favourite Avatar characters.

Amon Rain: Aka Professor Where

Amon Rain is an Egyptian/British man who came from a pure blooded family.

His strongest subjects, at Hogwarts, were muggle studies and potions. Quite the skill set for the Ravenclaw

When he finished school, however, he didn’t follow most wizard traditions. He became a science professor for a college. Needless to say that muggle aspiration resulted in him being cut off by his family

It didn’t help that there was an incident. He had made an invisibility potion, and someone had sabotaged it. Resulted in the effects to become permanent

A letter of recommendation, from Concordia Rowle, came to save him. She had grown up with him, and was a fellow student in muggles studies. So she recommended him to join and help broaden the subject matter

He now is a Professor at Hogwarts, who teaches ‘advance’ Muggles Studies. Aka, science

He now spends his time teaching, trying to find a cure, and enjoying tea with his pet Fwooper Welly

A man full of passion, but also insecurity’s. Direct with what he’s passionate about, but not with his feelings. Causes quite the issue with mood swings. One second he’s full of ego, the next he’s as scared as a newborn Niffler. It’s stressful losing your literal identity
