Batman: Don’t do it.

Harley: You think I should wait?

Batman: Yes.

Harley: How long?

Batman: Forever.

Harley: Wait, what? Do you not want me to marry her?

Batman: Yep.

Harley: Why?! Is it me?

Batman: No, of course not. You’re my friend, which is saying a lot.

Harley: Then… oh no. Don’t tell me you don’t like her just like she dislikes you.

Batman: Exactly. We both can’t stand each other… she hates me, right?

Harley: Oh yeah, but that tiny bit of difference is because she completely despises the Joker. Why don’t you like her?

Batman: She’s an eco-terrorist who goes to extreme lengths to protect the planet, harming it in the process, and… she’s rude to me.

Nightwing: I mean, you’re rude to her too, and she doesn’t like that you treat her like a child.

Batman side-glared at his son as Nightwing texted his girlfriend.

Nightwing: And don’t worry, Harley, I won’t tell her about the proposal.

Harley: Thanks, pal! See, the kid agrees with this gesture of love, and I know for a fact he doesn’t fully trust me. Which… I get.

Nightwing: Yeah, you guys make a cute couple. Batman, you agree, right?!

Batman: I think Ivy needs to be nicer to me.

Harley and Nightwing: Not if you’re going to act like this!

Y'all I'm writing a fanfic right now and I cannot for The life of me think of a nickname that I like and that Ivy would call Harley. especially because it's a pretty dramatic scene so it has to be something romantic and loving and maybe even a bit mournful. and I swear to God if anyone says "peanut" I HATE THAT I HATE THAT NICKNAME I HATE IT. I'm also not a big fan of "seedling" or "sapling" or anything of the like since they kind of give a more nurturing or even controlling vibe which is fine but definitely does not fit the vibe of what I'm writing currently. anyone got any ideas?

I really like their dynamic in the batman animated series, they just act so playful n cute, but i DO NOT! do nawt like the story of harley sleeping with someone to get her job as a psychologist. shes so much smarter than that, and I see her as someone who happened to become extremely vulnerable and easily manipulated further down her job, and that she did not enter her workplace like that

Ivy: Harley, I can handle you being on decent terms with Red Hood and the younger Robin, the Red Robin is even tolerable and Nightwing makes sense he's a treasure, but... You know where I'm going with this?

Harley (while resting a face towel on her face): I'm not goin' to stop being friends with Batman!

Ivy (offended and shocked): Eww, you're friends with him?! I just thought you guys talked.

Harley (removing her face towel and patting her skin dry): Yes, we get along and I can say he's my friend and he says the same about me. He's nice when you get to know him... And find out his civilian identity.

Ivy: Why do you and Selina refuse to tell me?

Harley (matter a fact): You ... Don't act like you don't know why. Batman is all right, we have a couple things in common. Both Jewish, hate the Joker, like pecan pie and enjoy bdsm.

Ivy: Why do you people keep telling me things about him that make me skin crawl?!

Harley: Ivy if I have to put up with Swamp Thing, you can handle me being around Batman. Now can you leave me to finish my skin care routine?

Ivy rolled her eyes leaving to water her plants.
