Set some time after 2x08. Some considerations: Dr. Psycho is out of the crew. King Shark is busy dealing with Tabitha. Proceeding as if 2x09-2x13 never happened. I'm rewriting Harley's story my way. But same endgame ;)

That kiss threw Harley Quinn for a loop. But she's avoiding her feelings because everything is fine! She and Clayface plan to loot one of the biggest villains in Gotham--but they discover something else much bigger than them is going on in the city. She joins forces with Batman to figure out what's happening--but also to avoid Ivy. Because everything is, again, fine. Her feelings catch up to her sooner or later.

Can we just take a moment and talk about this frame?

Okay.. so, everyone sees what has obviously/probably happened before, but let’s take a look at their expressions. Harley looks so vulnerable and almost afraid. Not because of what happened, but of what Ivy is going to say or do next.

In the last episode Harley wanted to talk about the kiss and her feelings twice. The first time Ivy has interrupted her and talked for them and kind of made the decision for both of them, that it was just a spur of a moment thing. Harley‘s expression fell and she went along with Ivy’s statement. Harley tried to repress her feelings and got a hold of a parademon army to destroy the city. I mean.. that’s so relatable.

So, after destroying her just gained power, because of Ivy asking her what she really wants, she tried to talk to Ivy again and has been interrupted yet again. But this time the reason was also the problem for Harley repressing her feelings in the first place, Kiteman.

Okay now back to 2x09. Harley knows how she feels about Ivy and I am sure Ivy does know that as well. Harley wants Ivy and she is afraid that after everything they have been through and everything that led to this moment, Ivy does not want her. In this moment Harley’s heart and the possibility of being broken hangs by a thread. Ivy is the one who leads the next moves and Harley looks also hopeful that Ivy can see through Harley and won’t break her a third time.

On the contrary we have Ivy who looks more than afraid. Her eyes and her posture show that she feels guilty. She knows that this was a mistake... but was it though? She wouldn’t have slept with Harley just because. She is her best friend and after the pit sacrifice, the kiss and the apocalypse Ivy knows or at least can’t deny that Harley has possibly developed feelings for her in a romantic way. So with this knowledge of Harley having feelings for her, herself probably still denying her feelings for Harley and the fact that she is engaged it is no surprise that she is afraid and feels guilty af. Because well.. she has just cheated on her soon to be husband again with her best friend. Fuck. So what should she do know? What should she say? How can they move forward? Is she going to lose her best friend? What about Kiteman? All these questions are in her mind and so much more.

I am really looking forward to next weeks episode and I am excited to see what leads to this situation and how they are going to handle it.
