I don’t know if anyone watches the missa streams but Phil training Chayanne has definitely kept him alive. There was a point where a green dragon was attacking Missa and Chayanne that was able to dodge arrows and fly. Chayanne was the one to climb the tree to knock it down and the both of them were able to kill it. Without training and the equipment Phil gave Chayanne would be dead. More powerful things are attacking the eggs, they have to defend themselves or at least have enough armor to not die while being protected

Tallulah is going to be killed if Wilbur doesn't give her some means of protection and he doesn't realise that

Chayanne is alive because Phil is paranoid and has done everything in his power to keep him alive, even when he can't be there. Especially when he can't be there

Phil and Missa are two of the best parents on the server and to suggest otherwise is ridiculous

When your favourite dies because their parents didn't give them enough armour or a weapon to defend themself with, don't complain. You wanted this.

y'know, Phil said that after dying in Squidcraft, he'd be reunited with Missa in hell. But we (obviously) don't see that happen. So how do we know this happens? How do we know that instead of being reunited with his beloved partner again, come next stream, hc!Phil wakes up in his hardcore world and says something like, "oh wow, I had a crazy dream last week. I was in a death game, and I saw those people from that other long-ass dream I had... including my platonic partner... damn, that was weird. ANYWAY! :)" and goes about his day, not wanting to acknowledge that he's been once again torn away from his loved ones and has been whisked back to his longstanding world, alone once more.

ohhh eggos. huevos. ovos. what a fucking journey its been, that's for sure. from the first day we met you, you won our hearts over. silly little admins playing silly little children eggs that caused just as much mischief as their parents (nearly). let's not forget that philza nearly got dapper instead of chayanne, that would have been a completely different outcome, for sure.

it's really sad that people like cellbit and felps never got to say goodbye to richas. or that missa never got to say goodbye to chay and llulah. or that roier and mariana never got to see pepito again. and it's really fucking sad that this all happened after we (aka me) thought everything was getting better. oh how wrong I was.

though, I am glad that the admins got to leave on their own accord. that they said, hey, this has been great but its time to leave. and while it is sad, let's be happy for them as look forward to the future of qsmp (I say with tears streaming from my eyes lmao)

in honour of the egg event ending, here's a couple of my favourite moments. (most of these will be chay and tallulah since I main phil):

now, more than ever, we need trust. just because the beloved ovos are gone, doesn't mean qsmp ends. we need to understand that wasn't the point of the server, and though it may have become that, now it will revert back to its original purpose: uniting languages and people from different countries. it will continue. just without the eggs. we'll miss you eggos, and

A closer look at panel 3 of my gift for the mcytblrholidayexchange!

This is my favorite of the three panels!! Love getting to mess around with outfits for the emperors and I'd actually never drawn AE!Philza before this!!

Long haired techno and short haired philza as an illustration of their opposing strategies in AE my beloved.... + long haired philza and short haired Techno in DSMP to show how their experiences since changed them...

Some fun details!! Techno has the blood god symbol on his cloak clasp and the symbol I use to represent sounder (Hooves around a heart) as his cravat clasp. He also has an earring where I draw the tear in his ear in my dsmp design. His crown is the AE symbol with two upside-down hearts. The upside-down hearts are used in techno's design to represent pig snouts while still tying him to the hardcore hearts used in Philza's design! (Also I forgot to mention Techno's ace ring in the last one so shoutout to that). Techno and Phil have the same layers to their ae design, except Techno's corset continues into sashes and starts behind the belt and Phil's doesn't so it's tucked in front of the first layer of his belt. Philza has boots with a heart and wing design that mirrors the AE symbol and wing design on his crown. Also! I sometimes model the AE sun more off of the Macedonian star than the flag, although I didn't in this piece.

So the Spider-Man series canonically has a multiverse right?

Roier is the qsmp/hardcore version of Spider-Man. There are others too! Pac is this universe’s Nova and White tiger is split between Bagi and Cellbit.

Phil does have a version of himself in the qsmp universe because he’s from the spider man universe. (Martyn inthelittlewood my beloved)

Also he isn’t the only one who got booted into the qsmp verse. Flash Thompson did too and you will never believe who he becomes

And Chayanne. If you can't see it well enough, he's doing a "You will die" motion with his thumb. I gave him pins, on his left there's a skull for Missa, and under the skull there's a potato with a crown for TECHNO, then on the right there's a hardcore heart for Phil (and because he only has one life left), under the heart is a stick of dynamite for Wilbur (and Chayanne's love of destruction), to the right side of the heart there's a flute for Tallulah, and under the flute there's a duck for himself.

Worry not, I'm not leaving QSMP yet. Even if it hurts. If Phil's done, I'll likely migrate to Fit for it. Provided he streams when Phil doesn't. 😅

And I'll be damned if this stops me from completing AMFMN. Apollo has hinted during a brief reading with him that he'll kick my ass. We NEED more Phil centric fics, it's half the reason I said fuck it we ball and started AMFMN to begin with. That goblin of a deity is INVESTED in the story. I think I'd get sunburn for eternity if I left it incomplete.

And I have a perhaps therapeutic idea to write Phil coming home to the Hardcore World via Rose after departing with the kids. I think I'm gonna go for it, even if it hurts to write and I cry during doing so. :p

I'm not sure what'll become of that QSMP AU I was cooking on but I don't think I'll discontinue that before it even begins either. Additionally, I've played with the idea of just. Continuing some kind of AU storyline post-AMFMN. Like writing stuff (headcanons or short story(s)) after the events of the fic. We'll see.

I've been miserable at worst and palpably sad at best the last 2 days, and we'll see what happens during and after Phil's stream today, but.. at least for now at this good hour of 10am, I'm feeling,, better-ish. Cautiously optimistic. I don't want to leave (and I especially don't want to lose the amazing mutuals and friends I've made 😭). I'm not going anywhere.

But if you're curious, here's some other interests you'll see here besides QSMP:

I'm a Phil main first and foremost. Even if he's done on QSMP, I watch every minute of EVERY stream. Hardcore my fucking beloved. I won't hesitate to start cooking up more hardcore Phil headcanons or a fic or AU.

After Phil, I watch Sneeg second most. I also watch Hermits/Lifers & friends, Ranboo (yes hello I love Genloss), Tubbo & a bunch of others. Like I said, Death Family's end on QSMP isn't my end in QSMP, nor MCYT. :)

so yeah this originally started bc an old friend of mine and i were talking and i forget who suggested it but we were like "hey wouldn't tommyinnit as link be so funny? because tommyinnit is like the exact opposite kind of feral-energy of botw link. loud and swears and uncontrollable and headstrong. hylia's most annoying hero." and things just devolved from there. it's fully a Crack Treated Seriously situation because i spent actual months working out lore n worldbuilding and whatnot fhdjskhfdk.

the fic is officially called Well, Excuuuuuuuse Me, Big Man: The BotW AU No One Asked For (or WEMBM for short)

basic layout (as far as i went with it anyway):

tommy more-or-less follows the order of what you're "supposed" to do to to beat the game: plateau->kakariko->hateno->kakariko again->four main regions->master sword->ganon. of course there are a lot of detours and back-tracking and skipping around for hyjinx

main regions/inhabitants are replaced: Zora->Axols (axolotl "hybrids"), Gorons->Piglins, Rito->Elytrians, Gerudo->Enderians

each of the above races have their own cultures that are loosely based off of the game's original counterparts and some mcrp fanon + personal headcanons thrown in. they're customized to incorporate some (mild) minecraft elements!!

old champions: Mipha->Niki, Daruk->Technoblade, Rivali->Philza, Urbosa->Ran (based loosely off of tftsmp Ran, effectively an oc lmao????)

new champions: Sidon->Foolish (Niki's younger brother) and Jack (Niki's best friend), Yunobo->Drista, Teba->Wilbur, Riju->Ranboo

all of their personalities more-or-less remain intact (which is why the fact that i put The Old Man / King Rhoam as Schlatt so fucking funny)

divine beasts keep their names but the creatures change!! Ruta is a glow squid, Rudania is a blaze, Medoh is still a bird (LMAO i might change this because...), Naboris is a phantom

some scattered details

wilbur is both the "new" champion role AND kass' role!! he and tommy meet early on in his journey (at his first visit to Hateno) but tommy doesn't learn about wilbur's heritage (Philza was his great great great grandfather) until MUCH later. they run into each other a lot during their travels.

wilbur also has a hardcore crush on an axol warrior named sally, which tommy teases and embarrasses him relentlessly for

tubbo (zelda-role) keeps zelda's arc of not being able to develop powers. the key difference is that tommy and tubbo are friends before the calamity business starts to get serious, and tubbo's frustration drives a wedge between them

(angst time: clingy duo has a Big Fight during that one sheikah slate Memory on the palace tower bridge, and they never get the chance to apologize to each other before it all goes to shit and tommy dies sacrificing himself to save tubbo.)

techno and phil are old friends from when they'd do colosseum fights together. they haven't talked much for a few years before becoming champions, both too busy with their respective duties at home, but the moment they realize they've both been recruited well, they're inseparable

windbombing, bullet-time bouncing, and shield clipping are canon. don't question it.

champion ran is a dick (think revali) and the only one there they respect is niki because they underestimated her and then she proceeded to floor them during a sparring session (and she didn't even threaten them with a water based attack, it was all skill)

awesamdude (most people call him "sam", he's ranboo's personal guard) has a half brother named awesamnook (most people call him "nook" or "samnook"). he's the Beedle-role and he talks in all caps like an npc ("HELLO TRAVELER." "Why are you shouting---" "HAVE A LOOK AT MY WARES." "Okay---")

bad runs the yiga-equivalent egg cult that, instead of disguising themselves as travelers, simply uses sprouts of blood-red flowers with a toxic pollen to mind-control bystanders into attacking tommy (yikes)

have some highlights from the few chapters i've written of tommy on the great plateau (yes, the entire google doc is written in comic sans)

okay so as i have previously established, in my au / hc c!wilbur's origins are kinda scuffed. she hatched out of the dragon egg on phil's hardcore world n b/c of that, has the ability to mimic.... whatever au puts aur mind to, really. (granted, he doesn't shift At All during the various arcs of the dsmp but i Have A Reason For That. n will elaborate at............ a later date.)

now!! how does this tie into ghostbur? simple!!

while not being All of wilbur, ghostbur is still Part of him, n given that death mechanics on the server are. More Than A Little Fucked, we'll say, she leans more into the glitchiness that wilbur wasn't able to tap into while being alive. vo is a sort of shadow figure that tends to glitch a lot n doesn't have much control over that mimic ability, so their appearance will usually mimic whatever hu's thinking about at that moment. so, in my recent drawing, ghostbur is thinking about her blue, n is starting to uh. well. become it. just a little bit. that's why the glitching effect on his lower half is blue, n why the arm holding the handful of blue is sticking to itself ever so slightly. au is becoming more of a sticky consistency in that moment n will probably become a bit more fluid-like in a couple more moments!! tho none of this shifting hurts, mind you- honestly i think it'd hurt to Not shift- it's just mildly inconvenient when gi is hanging out w/ dear old dad n suddenly sprouts almost-wings when phil. well. doesn't have them anymore. (awkward.)

october music thingie

i'm doing dreamwidth blind so i decided to talk about music. let's do it. here's my october rotation.

Faves:

Halber Mensch by Einstürzende Neubauten: a beloved album that went out of my rotation for most of this year but made a perfect return once the late autumn stuff got going outside. Great for long commutes and short walks. The first time I really appreciated Yü-Gung on its own merit, too. When the bass hits on the last refrain of "fütter mein ego" it's physically enjoyable.

Gris Klein by Birds in Row: it came out roughly a year ago and immediately landed a spot on my all time faves list, but especially my late autumn fave list. Not only is it a solid hardcore/screamo record on its own, but this time they really outdid themselves. It's such a perfectly paced listening experience—by the time the closer hits you are vulnerable to it, and when it's done, you get that perfect hit of "wow, I don't even know what to put on after this". The instrumental game is on point, too—I have so many loops and riffs from it wedged between my braincells, so, sonically, it's a win. And of course the songwriting here is impressive af. "Noah" in particular is a straight up masterpiece. I've listened to it outside of this record so many times. Ten out of ten, would recommend.

[untitled] by mewithoutYou: I just kind of forgot about it, but thanks to shuffle, I went back to it. I'm a fan of their earlier releases so I didn't particularly remember this one. And it's really beautiful! I'd say it's more smooth and melodic than their usual fare, but the usual songwriting quirks are all there, signature melodic decisions and lyrics and all that. Loved it anew!

Terror's Horns by Natural Snow Buildings: For some reason, I only now, after a couple years with this record, noticed there's a track called "King in Yellow" on it, haha. I've re-read it very recently and entered another small loop of my horror reading spree—and I must say this record would actually be a good soundtrack. It's only subtly creepy, but it does feel rich and heavy and mysterious and has bursts of pure ecstatic beauty near the end there and one of the most devastating closers I know.

Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada by GY!BE: a classic; and, by extension, Górecki's third symphony, since the iconic "Moya" is a nod to that. I love many different recordings, but my all time fave is the one with Beth Gibbons of Portishead doing the vocals. Her unique voice and manner fill the already gorgeous parts with something fragile and sublime that is simply unparalleled. It's one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard.

Discoveries:

Jeff Buckley: I have no idea why I have been putting off checking him out for so long (I have an oddly patchy impression of popular music, in that I know a lot of obscure stuff but most of well-known names missed me completely), but man, the beauty here is really on another level. I was tickled to remember that a semi-obscure progressive metal band I like did a cover of "Dream Brother" a decade ago and that's how I first heard of him. Which is hilarious, because before I remembered, I commented on "Grace" to my friend saying it sounds like that very band if they weren't progressive metal. Also, no one who can pull off Dido's Lament will escape my admiration. Grace is going on that fave list for sure.

The great Destroyer by Low: I've been a fan for some years, but I tend to be slow in catching up with big discographies, so I missed some records, this one included. It's everything Low is beloved for, their quintessential reserved harmonies and precise lyricism all on display. Plus, the opener has been covered by Robert Plant, which is pretty cool.

Wind's Poem/Ocean Roar by Mount Eerie: I adore the quiet and devastating spoken word pieces Phil Elverum is known for (among other things), but these two black metal inspired albums, with those same quiet vocals and tentative lyrics contrasted by gloriously noisy instrumentals, are new for me and I'm in awe.

New stuff:

Silence by Rorcal: I'm only sometimes in the mood for Rorcal, but when I am, this record is a good example of why. Fun blackened hardcore, and the record is pretty tight and runs for less than 40 minutes.

Everything is Alive by Slowdive: I love this one! More than I loved their first post-reunion record. I think it was released back in September but it was a perfect melancholy autumn sound for my October.

Sit Down for Dinner by Blonde Redhead: a new Blonde Redhead record! Can you believe it? I think it got quieter than 23 and I love it less, but it's still a good record.

Oscillating Forest by Tangled Thoughts of Leaving: another September release by my ultimate underrated faves that get tagged as post-rock but actually do something more free jazz-ey and noisy and chaotic but also yes, with crescendos and keys and all that fun. Another absolute banger. Check it out.

At Zeenath Parallel Heavens by Black to Comm: my scariest ambient fave. It's not his absolutely full of dread Seven Horses for Seven Kings, but it's still delightfully uneasy and beautiful.

in spoar by piiptsjilling: there's this obscure Dutch sound designer/electroacoustic/ambient/neoclassical guy Machinefabriek with a massive back catalogue, and piiptsjilling is one of his even more obscure side-projects. It's more melodic and has actual words and not just vocal textures! I love it.

Not yet released, but Neubauten finished a new record and I'm HELLA excited. Nothing they've ever done is boring. Let spring come soon.
