I wanted to say that outside of semantics and divisions - I am simply happy to find communities that welcome with kindness - that welcome you by a good heart and not the ability to conform. I am happy for the opportunity to be surrounded by people who care. It's a funny world we live in - making the same mistakes over and over, multiplying the same suffering by billions. I don't think I hope for an utopia anymore, I don't think such a thing exists - but you can't call me hopeless either. And that's what matters.

HAPPY PRIDEMONTH GAYS, SLAYS AND THEYS!!!!!

I’m so happy that pridemonth is finally here!! I can’t wait for the celebrations and parades, all lit by our diverse community of unique people!!!

Time for a some epic history facts: *cackles in rainbow*

- If pirates were represented more accurately in modern day television, they would be much gayer!! As a pirate ship consisted out of mostly men, so called “Matelotages” were not uncommon! A Matelotage was an agreement between two sailors, they would agree to share an income, would get items inherited in the scenario one of the partners were to die, AND pledge to fight together in battle!! Of course the internet portraits this in a “they were roommates” kinda fashion, but there are recourses to make us think otherwise ^^

(P.S. a show that represents pirates more accurately and also depicts this side of piracy, is the tv series “our flag means death”. Check it out!!)

- Another pirate fact: (I know ok bear with me) A lot women who were pirates dressed in a way that was commonly seen for male pirates to wear, as it was strictly prohibited for women to be onboard a pirate ship, it was seen as bad luck, and that was because male pirates assumed that they would all fight over the female pirates. Part of dressing in a stereotypical “male” way, was making others assume they were men in the battlefield, when they won in battle, they would rip open their clothes and show their boobs to whoever they beat, showing them they were in fact killed by a woman!! (This was extremely insulting to male pirates, because of their poor wittle fragile mascuwinity :(( boo hoo)

- There are many cultures that recognise more than two genders!! Some of them are:

- Hijras

- Calalai, Calabai and Bissu

- Muxe

- Sekrata

- Bakla

SasuNaru rant bc its pridemonth

dudebros watched Naruto entirely with their eyes closed because how do you look at this series and not think Naruto and Sasuke are cosmically intertwined in both heart and soul.

But besides that im going to yap and break down some lyrics used in the show that literally back up how they feel for each other.

This is from the opening "Diver," in Naruto Shippuden. The lyrics are so obviously from Sasuke's perspective. Not only does the imagery show how Sasuke is continuously sinking and full of sorrow, it shows Naruto reaching out to him- chasing after him like he's done this entire series. He is the light shining on Naruto ITS LITERALLY WRITTEN HERE

Theres also Naruto Shippuden ending 6, "Broken Youth"

The lyrics talk about someone referring to ANOTHER MAN, in which the speaker refers to the subject as a simple person with a strong will to fight. After that, he questions what has changed with the subject as time has passed. I'll cut to the chase, the ending credits literally have a scene where Sasuke and Naruto are staring at each other when the lyrics "Please kiss me, Please Kiss me all night"

Another opening I'd like to mention is "Namikaze Satellite."

Like come on do i really have to spell out how this song talks about how despite their distance, the wind will always connect them??? It also talks about how theyre constantly separating, and personally i think this comes from Naruto's perspective because ITS SO positive despite their turmoil and distance. The part where it talks about being thrown to the side is so reminiscent of how Naruto lacked permanence before Team 7. That impermanence is reflected in Sasuke leaving 😔

"Seishun Kyousoukyoku" is another prime example of original Naruto openings painting a picture of how important Sasuke and Naruto are to one another. Naruto is the only person Sasuke can be emotionally vulnerable with and even as the days, weeks, years pass for them, they will always be able to pick up where they left off. Their bond has always been so wildly important to the other that its like nothing has changed.

We see Sasuke and Naruto change throughout the series, sure, but their relationship has stayed the same. It transcends the bounds of friendship or even brotherhood; Sasuke and Naruto are always in competition with each other, but more than anything they want a relationship unaffected by the binds of their fates. Sasuke's feelings about Naruto, romantic or not, are a driving force in his pursuit for power- its literally Itachi all over again.

Theres that scene during the Valley of Death arc where Sasuke tombstones Naruto, a surely fatal blow. Sasuke is convinced Naruto is dead because he's literally floating face down in the river and SASUKE IS DISTRAUGHT. The absolute look of sorrow on his face simply says it all

"My body just moved on it's own" is one of my favorite SasuNaru lines ever ITS SO PRECIOUS. This was their first major mission together, their friendship yet to be anything remotely friendly, and Sasuke was already protecting him, blaming muscle memory or something to avoid his apparent embarrassment. As much pride as he has, he has always felt positive towards Naruto, even if it manifested as jealousy sometimes.

Theres another scene in the manga where Sasuke recounts feeling "warm and fuzzy" at watching Naruto try to make friends, but he says it made him feel like he had a form of weakness. ARE YOU HEARING THIS!!! They are literally each other's greatest weakness and they have lived and died for each other over and over.

SasuNaru is real. Happy pride month 🏳️‍🌈

Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you to all 48 participants of the interest poll, it was very interesting to see how another ship week would be perceived! Considering that at least 12 voters confirmed to be happy to dive into participating, I think there isn’t a more suitable date than June 1st, the beginning of Pridemonth, to officially announce this year’s Taikouvember event! (Title picture + new icon provided by @seventeenlovesthree)

November is the last month of autumn, right before Christmas time begins. It’s a time that can be filled with light and coziness but also lurking shadows and gloominess. So, November 6th to November 12th shall be dedicated to the platonic or romantic relationship between Taichi Yagami and Koushiro Izumi (Taikou, Koutai or mainly known as Taishiro(u) in the English speaking fandom). Since "Digimon Adventure 02 - The Beginning" will air on October 27th 2023 as well, some of the prompts are inspired by the potential theme of the movie:

It's disability pridemonth, so it got me thinking on my internship at a school for physically disabled children again (it's been over a year holy shit).

I remember that, the day I got there, I had no idea what to expect and how to deal with anything. Well, not even because those children were disabled and I'd never actually met disabled people before, though that certainly played a factor, but by pretty much the entire situation. (I don't think the adults there were really equipped to handle a socially awkward teen on top of everything else either, to be honest.)

The second day a teacher-slash-more of a childcare worker i think? took me aside, spent time to explain everything to me, gave me specific instructions and after that everything went pretty well, and I learned a lot in those five days.

I unlearned a lot of my own internalized ableism, of course. Like the children who couldn't talk "properly" - they still understood everything just fine. It's really sad that I needed to see this to get it, but I'm glad I did.

I could barely understand that one girl, but man, she was fucking amazing at doing maths in her head.

But honestly, the most surprising thing about my internship?

The reactions from people around me.

I was asked so often if it wasn't hard, seeing all those disabled children.

The truth is, no. No, it wasn't. Because I got to know them in an environment that was made specifically with them in mind.

There were railings in child-height all along the walls, so the kids who had trouble with walking could still get everywhere on their own. Doors were automated and wide enough for multiple wheelchairs. The area outside was all flat and open, so all the kids, including those in wheelchairs, could play tag. There were always adults around to help them with whatever they couldn't do on their own, whenever they needed that help.

I saw happy children first, and disabled children second.

Of course they were disabled. Of course I know they'll never be able to have normal jobs, and lead normal lives, and many won't be able to live independantly. I saw a poster in a hallway in remembrance of a girl there who died. I know that this school and daycare was the only of its kind in a way too large area.

But I got to meet those children. I got to help them. I'll never forget the little boy whose hand I held to help him walk when we went to get ice cream with that one group of kids, and when he told me he loved me (children are the absolute sweetest). I'll never forget all of them just being kids, wheelchair or none, speaking or not (or with an aid, I'm not sure what it's called tho, sorry).

I'm so very glad I got an internship there.

And I'm so fucking infuriated that the world refuses to accomodate them even in small matters. I'm fucking mad that these children will grow up to be treated as stupid or lesser just because of a disability. These children are physically disabled, and they are children.

It's one of the most important realizations I needed to have, and I hate that it wasn't a given in the first place. I hate that society made it necessary to see.

Fuck ableism. We gotta fight for a future these children, and any disabled people - physically or otherwise - can live in.

On a personal note, there really isn't much I haven't been through. I've been sexually assaulted, cheated on, abused, bullied, abused as a child by parents, homeless, suicidal, it's a miracle that I'm here at all.

Pride Month is creeping up on us real quick and this is the first year that I am fully admitting that yeah, I've evolved from being bisexual to queer. I'm so happy in my own world and tbh I do think I might be asexual too 🏳️‍🌈

What I'm trying to say is, you are the ONLY you there is. Cherish her. Cherish them. Cherish you. All of you. You are a miracle. Frickin' act like it queen 👑

I’m a Queer Man with severe mental illnesses

I’m NotAghost (He/They)

I’m 19 (20 next month!)

I love animals, art and music

I’m in a relationship with my partner of 8yrs

I’m autistic and have been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety

I want to spread my experience of being a man mental health

I’ve been suffering from mental health since I was 6/7

I was diagnosed with severe depression last year, though having symptoms all through my teenage years.

I don’t remember my childhood due to severe trauma.

And that has affected me all throughout my life

I came out in 2016. Still during my school years

I told someone I considered my friend who outed me to my entire year group (grade)

I was bullied horribly for being openly queer.

It lasted years, daily.

That plummeted my mental health.

I’d force myself to throw up just so i didn’t have to go in and face them.

I attempted 3 times due to bullying. I was never taken seriously, even by my school

They all faced no repercussions because “they had bright futures.”

When they almost took my future from me.

I attempted again a few months ago. I don’t remember it or what over.

I just remember having scars all over my face and neck after

I can’t get a job or an education due to my health.

I had to drop out of college because of my agoraphobia.

I can’t work a full day

I’m currently in therapy for my agoraphobia

And getting help for my depression.

It’s been a slow path to healing but I’m getting better.

Men’s mental health needs to be taken more seriously.

And not just used as a learning experience when it is too late.

The mental health system is a joke.

It’s ok for men to cry. It’s ok for men to reach out. It’s ok to get help.

☼ Mun got into AiB thanks to her bff who told her about it. Mun already knew about the show from a "how to beat that" video on Youtube made about AiB, but she just forgot about it until her bff mentioned it and reminded her about it (well, at least the good thing was that she watched it when Season 2 was out too so it made for a great binge watch session). Has no regrets watching the show and loves the community around it! Is here to stay for many years to come. uwu

☼ Although Mun is into writing and reading smut, she is actually asexual in terms of orientation. She is biromantic tho, so not a full aro/ace, just ace. (Happy pridemonth to my fellow queers! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤)

☼ Mun loves drawing, but doesn't do it all the time. For digital art, she only has her old ass phone and her fingers to use for drawing, that's why a full digital piece will take her to around a week or more to complete. All in all, Mun loves art in general and absorbs knowledge through watching Youtube art videos.

☼ Mun is a University student, finishing now her second year of her Major program. She is majoring in Education and just like Kukki, hopes to become a school counselor.

☼ Mun loves videogames! She might not play many herself (outside of phone games and the occasional free online stuff), but she's an avid gameplays viewer, her favorite gaming channels being Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. Mun does play online Otome games currently (My Candy Love and Eldarya, if anyone is interested, but wouldn't really recommend them due to the Company's lack of consideration and respect towards its player base and their disgusting greed. She would stop playing them herself, but is in the fanbase since 2014 and 2016 respectively, so it's hard for her to let go of her fave characters + the artwork of these games is indeed stunning!).
