Little sister: Knock before you enter
Summary: Maybe Rhys should knock before he enters
Word count: 1.6k
Rhysand had many titles and jobs he was required to upkeep and fulfill. The most daunting title of all; your brother. And as your older brother it was his job to keep you happy and safe but how is he supposed to do that while being high lord, tending to his court, being a new father and a good mate. It was safe to say that he had been falling behind in that area of his life and by no means were you upset with him. Truthfully if Rhysand was willing to admit it to himself you were probably happy to not have him breathing down your neck every two seconds but as your older brother he couldn’t let his lack of time keep him from checking in on you.
Flying to the house of wind he greets Cassian and Nesta in the kitchen having breakfast after what he could only assume was a long training session. Of one kind or another. “Good morning, have you seen my sister by chance?” He stopped to grab a piece of fruit that sat in the basket on the counter. Nesta shook her head in a no motion while bringing her cup to her lips to take a sip. “She wasn’t at training this morning.”  his general responded. It wasn’t unusual for you to skip training every now and then but since befriending Cassian's mate you made it more of a point to be consistent in your routine. Something most definitely had to be off. The high lord nodded at his family members and silently made his way to your bedroom and once your door handle was within reach he pushed the door open without any thought.
The second his eyes took in the scene before him, he really wished he would have knocked. At least to give Azriel the chance to winnow away before he caught the two of you in a compromising position. “Well good morning to you too.” Your light laughter felt like a slap in the face and your brother directed his gaze to the ceiling. Azriel said nothing as he continued tightening the lace of your corset as if this was another normal day for the three of you. It in fact was not another normal day for the three of you.
In the middle of the room stood you and Azriel. Your back facing him while he gently pulls the strings of the fabric together in hopes of tightening the fabric to be flush with your body. Neither you nor Azriel seemed fazed by this arraignment. Rhysand made a mental note to ask his shadowsinger about that later. Right now he was trying to find a reason as to why you felt comfortable wearing nothing but this corset top and underwear in front of the man he considered a brother. He would also have to ask about that later.
Coughing Rhys found the bravery in himself to look at you again for a mere seconds before shifting his gaze to literally anything else in your room. “Azriel, why are you helping my sister get dressed?” Before his friend could answer you jumped in to answer for him “Because I can’t tie a corset by myself, obviously” for a few seconds you watched while your brother tried to find the right words but by the time he had found them you were already strutting across the room and into the closet to grab the skirt that matches the outfit. Putting it on before him and the spymaster. Effortlessly you pulled it up and around your waist while turning once again to give Azriel access to tie the strings of your skirt together and complete your outfit. “And where exactly are you going where you need an outfit like that?” nothing about your outfit was revealing but it was definitely one of your nicer outfits for sure. Once again your laughter rang out into the room filling it with undeniable warmth. “Fatherhood sure has made you quite forgetful hasn’t it?”  Rhys tried to rack his brain for any reason you would need to be dressed up and he couldn’t find any. Maybe fatherhood has made him forgetful. “I’m going to visit the summer court and try to fix our relationship with them and since you are quite forgetful today, here is your reminder that Az is coming with me.” Silently the two male lock eye contact and Rhys raises a brow in questioning. Az titled his head slightly in a questioning manner. “You really want your sister going to another court alone?”
Sighing a hefty sigh which Rhys was sure would be the first of many today he shook his head. “Of course I don’t want her to go alone. I just don’t recall telling you to go with her.” Confused, Azriel asked “Who else would go then?” And honestly Rhysand had no idea.
After one week which felt like forever knowing you were alone with his shadowsinger the two of you had finally returned. It wasn’t like he didn’t trust the two of you but he couldn’t help but remember you curled up a little too comfortably in the spymaster's lap during the family dinner and now he walks into your room and there is Azriel helping you get dressed while you're basically naked. Something about that made his stomach queasy.
After you had debriefed with your brother about your week, your very exciting week at that, you had made your grand exit to your room to wash away the day of traveling you had endured while Azriel gave him his report of your experience. After explaining everything the two males once again found themselves in the same situation as a week ago. Silently observing each other waiting for someone to make the first move. “Would you like to explain why you were in my sister's room helping her get dressed last week?” Az said nothing for a minute while staring at his high lord. “Like you said I was helping her get dressed.” Rhysand couldn’t help the scoff that slipped from his lips in disbelief. “Az I’m not stupid. I know something is going on between the two of you just please be honest and tell me. First she sits in your lap which sure isn’t unusual for her but then when I go to get her up from you, you don’t let me. Then at the court of nightmares, which don’t get me wrong I am eternally grateful that you protected her but then she kisses you like her life depended on it and leads you off to gods know where and now I find you in her room quote unquote helping her get dressed while she's basically half naked. I would be lying if I said this didn’t make me mad but  I really just want you to be truthful with me.”
Azriel knew just how bad it seemed to anyone but the two of you but listening to Rhys list off all the stuff he had seen you two do, did seem a little suspicious. But truthfully he could say that nothing was going on between the two of you. Sure you liked to push the boundaries of friends to lovers quite often but it was always with Azriels concent and permission and nothing more ever happened then what Rhys had witnessed. Azriel respected Rhysand in more ways than one and part of that meant never crossing the in your relationship into something more as much as Azriel really wished he could. Some part of Azriel knew that you were meant for him but he knew his high lords stance on either him or Cassian dating his little sister. And it was never an option because Rhysand would never allow it to be one.
“Rhys, I respect you which means I also respect you that don’t want me to date your little sister. I would never do anything to cross that line and I honestly try not to but you know you sister. She likes to get under your skin and since Cassian can’t help her achieve that goal anymore she comes to me. If it truly bothers you that much I will talk to her and put it to a stop. As for last week, after training I was the first one back down into the house and she simply asked for my help. At first I denied but once she brought the corset out to show me how complicated it was I agreed to help her, nothing more was going on I promise.”
After a long and much needed talk with Azriel, Rhysand had finally made it back to his bedroom and his wonderful mate. Once the couple had caught each other up on their day things started to escalate and before he knew it he was starting to undress Feyre. Suddenly the bedroom door slammed open and there you were standing in the entrance of his room staring at him expectantly. After a very lengthy pause of the three of you glancing at and forth at each other you finally speak. “Rhys what are you doing? Feyre is a grown woman she can undress herself. She doesn’t need your help.” with an exhausted sigh you watch as your brother rubs his weary face. He knew exactly what this was about. “Maybe next time you'll knock before entering.” Feyre watched as you turned around and left as if you had not just barged into their room. Without saying anything to her mate she raises an eyebrow in question as if to say “What was that about?” Sighing once more Rhysand just shakes his head before face planting into their bed. Exiting his house you make your way to where Azriel was waiting to fly the two of you back to the house of wind “Maybe next time he’ll actually knock.” The gentle laugh of the shadowsinger caressed your heart as he scooped you into his arms and took off to the sky. That was not before pressing a gentle kiss to your temple.

While neither of you nor Katakuri would say it out loud you were both the closest thing either of you had to a friend. You didn’t verbalize it since it would be improper- you were one of the few high ranking pirates in the Big Mom Pirates that wasn’t a part of the family so you knew your position was precarious. Katakuri had his reputation to think of so you never blamed him for his occasional distance. But in the precious moments you two got alone, both of you relaxed just a little bit.
Like now.
“And that’s all the reports from the morning. Any news from your breakfast with Big Mom?” You sat on the edge of Katakuri’s desk, the only spot in his office that made it so neither of you had to strain your neck to look at each other.
“No new movements of changes to current plans.” Katakuri answers, his slightly muffled voice through his scarf as always but there was something in the way he answered that gave you pause.
“Was there something else?” You know how much he loves his mom- but everyone knows that she can be beyond overbearing.
“She says she wants me to be happy.” Katakuri sighs and you immediately understand the situation.
Everyone knows Big Mom is obsessed with growing her family. And while Katakuri is spared some of the overbearing pushing of his mother due to how much responsibility he took on- Big Mom still wants to see her darling commander in a happy relationship. But for someone like Katakuri finding someone casually isn’t an option and you know how long he’s been pushing back from an arranged marriage.
“Well, it might be nice?” You offer, but you both can easily tell you’re just trying to make him feel better.
“It’s not like I don’t want something like that…” He pulls on the overlap of his scarf, securing it even further on his face. “I just don’t want to force someone to be with me.”
“I know it’s not a great situation but anyone would be lucky to be married to you.” You offer him a reassuring smile. “You’re one of the kindest people I know. I’m sure you would make a wonderful husband.”
It isn’t until you see a blush creep over the edge of his scarf that you realize you might have gone a little too far. It was all honest- perhaps too honest- but you should know better than to be so upfront with him. Despite his cold exterior he’s incredibly soft underneath and the few times you’ve complimented him he’s practically ran away.
“Ah- well-“ You watch him flounder and decide to help out.
“I mean all of your siblings who have had their marriages arranged and that’s worked out pretty well for them! Sure it might take some getting used to but this is a really nice place to live.” You take the heat off of him and watch him relax a bit, still buried more than usual in his scarf.
“I guess…” From his voice you can tell there’s a bit more going on but you decide not to push him just yet.
“Well I have to get going and take these reports but I’ll be back later for the evening debrief?” You grab the reports sized for normal humans and slide off his desk, landing with a small thud.
“Yes, of course.” You can’t see his mouth but you can see the smile in his eyes as you wave goodbye.
You don’t stop thinking about Katakuri having an arraigned marriage for the rest of the day. Big Mom has clearly been bringing it up more recently and as much as you also wanted him to be happy you couldn’t help but feel a certain sadness whenever it was brought up. He was the one person you felt even remotely comfortable around and him getting a partner might disrupt the small world the two of you shared.
Of course, you couldn’t have a crush on your commander. There’s few things that would be worse than that. It would be catastrophic if you pictured yourself with him, spending time in his large embrace, sharing food, seeing what was under that scarf…
So, of course, those are things that are not happening. And even if they were to happen it’s unrealistic for so many reasons. Not only the fact that he was a commander but- well- he was big and you were not. Sometimes you forget that you’re an average size person when you spend your days with the Charlotte family. There’s no way Katakuri would want someone basically a third his size.
You though?
Well you wouldn’t mind being with someone basically triple your size.
It’s shameful the way your mind wanders when you look at his massive hands or the way you’re directly in eye line of his broad chest when you sit on his desk. The way he could overtake you in every sense of the word-
Your body had carried you back to Katakuri’s office for your evening debrief while your head swam with thoughts you quickly shoved deep down as you knocked on his door. Katakuri’s voice calls for you to come in and you really really hope observation haki can’t secretly be used for mind reading.
You take the ladder specifically set for you up to his desk, laying out the fresh reports for him. “Nothing noteworthy, just resupply requests and normal Marine movement.”
“Mhm…” Katakuri looks through the papers but you can tell his eyes are glazing over the words and not actually reading them.
“And tomorrow is a quiet day, just a few meetings that everyone will come to you for.”
“Ok.” He’s still staring at the paper that you know has no interesting information on it.
“Katakuri?”
“Mhm.”
“Katakuri!” You yell, not out of anger but just to get his attention- and it works.
“Ah- sorry- I was just… thinking.” He sets the papers down, adding them to a stack on the corner of his desk.
“You’re not still worried about this arranged marriage thing are you?”
“I… yes I am.” He admits, eyes looking shamefully to the side.
“We talked about this- I know it’s not the best but it’s not like you’ll be holding someone hostage.” You offer, sliding closer to him in an effort to get him to look at you.
“I understand that.” He sighs and finally glances back over to you.
“But?”
“But… it’s-“ He shakes his head and pulls up his scarf more. “Nevermind.”
“Katakuri.” You reach you and gently touch his forearm that’s laying on the desk next to you. “You can talk to me.”
You watch a blush creep up over his scarf at the touch but you don’t move your hand away. “It’s… I don’t want to be crass.”
Now that has you even more curious. “I won’t hold it against you. Besides, if it’s troubling you this much I want to help.”
“It’s- ah-“ He turns his gaze away again but does answer you. “I just have… no… experience.”
Ah.
Well.
Honestly, now that you’re thinking about it, it makes totally sense. Katakuri won’t even show his face to anyone and you’ve never seen him be casual with anyone besides very close family members or you. He was someone who took his duty very seriously so running off in his youth and having fun would be out of the question too.
“I’m sure the right person wouldn’t care about that.” You reassure him honestly.
“But there are certain expectations- and I can’t even be sure it would be the right person since I won’t have that much of a say-“ To hear a man of few words nervously ramble catches you off guard and makes you realize how painfully insecure he must be about this.
“Katakuri- hey-“ You lean into your hold on his arm.
“And- I mean there are only so many people in the world as tall as I am Mama was lucky enough to find people with comparable heights for everyone else but what if that isn’t an option-“
“There are ways to make it work.” Both of your hands are on his arm at this point, leaning to try and catch his gaze.
“And I could just accidentally hurt-“ He stops mid sentence as he processes what you said to him.
There a moment of painful silence as both of you catch up on your words. You’re probably blushing just as hard as Katakuri at this point, realizing where the conversation was headed.
“I mean- that-“ It was your turn to flounder, embarrassed that even a sliver of your thoughts had breached the surface. “There are… less than traditional ways to- never mind!”
You pat his arm and stand up, planning on leaving the desk and hoping you bash your head on the way down so you can forget this ever happened. However, as you’re about to do so Katakuri’s hand hovers in front of you, stopping you in your tracks. You don’t turn to look back at him but you can still hear him clearly.
“I don’t want to make you uncomfortable but…” There’s a long pause and you turn to see him staring down at you, gaze surprisingly serious. “I would be indebted to you if you gave me some guidance.”
“Of course.” You answer before you can think yourself out of it. “What are friends for?”
There’s something that flashes behind his eyes at your words but you can’t read him before he’s awkwardly settling back into his hair and giving you space to sit down again. You sit back down, suddenly aware of just how hot your body has gotten.
It’s probably best to start easy. “So you haven’t- I mean I know you keep your face covered- have you ever kissed someone?”
“When I was really young, just some silly childhood stuff…” He’s back to not making eye contact with you, nose buried in the scarf. “But even kissing is…”
You’ve heard stories about what lays under his scarf- all sorts of tall tales that you’re sure aren’t true. You scoot closer to the edge of the desk.
“Can I see?” You ask softly- hopefully.
You watch his hand slowly creep up to his scarf, hesitating at the frayed edges. It’s unnatural to see him scared. You’ve watched him decimate hundreds of Marines without a change in expression- but here even you could notice the fear.
“Just don’t- please-“ You’re not sure what he’s asking but you nod knowing you would do anything for him.
He slowly pulls the scarf down and away from his face and it’s all too clear why he’s hidden that part of himself away. Large fangs rest at the corner of where his mouth should end but you see the thin line where his mouth continues close to his cheekbones. Despite how unnatural it is you can’t help but feel like it fits his face perfectly. The contrast of his pink blush against the sharp fangs is so perfectly him- nothing looks out of place. He’s watching your reaction closely, you can tell he’s using his observation haki from the way his eyes narrow but you don’t have to hide a single thing.
“Katakuri you’re perfect.”
You watch your honesty sink in with him, long moments of silence as he grows impossibly redder before he forces his gaze away to the ceiling.
“I guess- ah- well you can see why kissing would be a problem.” Thankfully he doesn’t move his scarf back up, content for now to tug at its ends nervously.
“Well…” You hum thoughtfully. “There would have to be some caution but I don’t think it’s a problem. Besides, if a person isn’t as big as you are then their mouth could fit right in between your bigger teeth.”
“I guess…” You watch him shift in his chair, occasionally glancing back over at you before refocusing back on a spot on the ceiling.
“So, see, nothing that can’t be worked around.” You nudge his knee with your foot, trying to make the air in the room less heavy.
“You’re right…”
There’s more quiet as the next part of the conversation looms, both of you knowing the real issues he was thinking about. You try not to be eager to talk about it, not wanting to push him too far and not wanting to come across as some pervert. You give him the space he needs and after a minute he speaks up again.
“I just don’t see a way around the… size problem.” His voice is quiet and breathy and you force yourself to ignore the heat rising in your stomach.
“There’s a lot that can be done without… insertion.” You cringe a little at your own word choice, but that was the least sexually charged term you could come up with.
“But I thought…” You see a small flash of embarrassed panic as his eyes dart back to you. “I mean- I’m aware of the other things! I just didn’t think that was, you know, enough…”
“It’s enough. More than enough if you know what you are doing.” Your gaze was locked on him and it seems like neither of you could look away anymore.
“Oh that’s… good to know. Very good.” You can feel your heartbeat in your ears as you fight to keep your face normal as he slowly responds. “I guess that I just… need to know what I’m doing.”
“And I’m sure that you would be receptive to learning.” You know that not all men are but you know that Katakuri would be.
“I like to think I would.”
The way he’s looking at you so intensely and speaking so softly- you throw caution to the wind.
“I can help you learn, if you want.”
“Please.” His response is so quiet you almost think you’re making it up in your mind but when his large hand softly runs over your leg you know it was real.
You nod, not trusting your voice in the moment as his hand travels to the outside of your thigh and his thumb rubs comfortingly into your side. He leans in, large face taking up your whole vision as he hesitates just a hair away from you.
“We should probably go to my room.” His breath fans over your face as he talks and you nod, even if your body is screaming that you need to touch him now. “Is it alright if I carry you?”
The idea makes you giddier than you care to admit. “I’d like that.”
He smiles down at you as he stands up, easily picking you up with one hand and holding you close to his chest. Instinctively you reach out to steady yourself against him, your hands finding his chest. Your face burns as you realize you’re practically groping his pec but that doesn’t stop you from leaning into his skin.
You’re thankful there’s no one in the halls between his office and his room, unsure how either of your would explain this situation. He quickly pushes into his room, locking the door behind him before gently setting you down on his large bed. As much as you try not to you’re right at eye level to stare at Katakuri’s crotch. His large bulge strains against his leather pants to the point it must be painful for him. Before you can fully process just how big his cock is you force your gaze up to his face where you find him watching you carefully. Smiling up at him you push yourself further up into the bed, settling your back against his large pillows.
“Come here.” You say softly and he follows your request automatically, crawling overtop of you.
You reach your hand up to hold his face and he leans into your hand. You don’t push him to go faster, letting him slowly adjust to your physical contact as he hovers above you, propped up on his elbows. His chest presses down into your legs, a comforting weight against your body.
“Can I kiss you?” He asks, full of sincerity.
You nod and he slowly moves down, hesitating just before his lips touch yours. From there you close the gap, gently pressing your lips to his. Your mouth fits snuggly between his fangs, only the smooth outsides press into your cheeks. Katakuri is frozen against your mouth and after a few second you pull away and look up at him with concern.
“If you don’t want-“ Before you can get the rest of your sentence out he surges back down, eagerly pressing his mouth to yours again.
He’s clumsy as moves his lips against yours but he more than makes up for it in how enthusiastic he is. Katakuri isn’t pushy though, letting you take the lead as you mouth molds to his. You take it slow and steady as he learns to match your motions. He’s a quick study though and the both of you easily transition to him being in control of the kiss. You don’t pull away until your lungs force you to, gasping as he nuzzles your nose with his.
After you catch your breath you press one more quick kiss to his mouth before speaking. “How do you feel about kissing now?”
His wide mouth cracks into a smile. “I think I like it but I’m not quite sure yet…”
You giggle as he captures your mouth in a kiss again, now more confident in his movements. You let your hands tangle in his hair as you lose yourself in the kiss. Eventually he releases your mouth to press more kisses into your jaw and neck. You can’t stop the breathy moan that eases out of your throat at his actions as your hands pull at his hair. He clearly hears you because he stops in his tracks, darkened eyes glancing back up to you.
“Tell me what to do next.”
You nearly faint at how sincere he is- but at the same time there’s a nagging thought in the back of your mind that you might be using him. “If you lay on your back I can-“
“Tell me how to please you.” He shifts so his weight is held by one elbow, large hand running down your side.
“You don’t have to do that.” You say, barely clinging onto your reservations.
“Please let me.” Fingers lay at the waist of your uniform and the last coherent thought flies out of your mind when he pushes your shirt up and kisses your stomach.
You lift your hips up to quickly shove your pants and underwear down to your thighs before Katakuri helps them the rest of the way, tugging them off your legs and discarding them. He moves down the bed slightly, large hand splayed over your left hip and thigh gently keeping your legs open. Your breath is heavy as he stares between your legs and you fight off the urge to be insecure.
“Tell me- show me-” His breath tingles on the soft skin inside your thighs.
You let one of your hands drift down your body and between your legs, fingers seeking out your folds. It’s no surprise to you just how wet you are as you use two fingers to push apart your folds, to show Katakuri what you’re doing. Your other hand follows and you use your pointer finger to slowly draw circles around your clit. A whine drags its way out of your throat, already so worked up and on edge.
Katakuri watches you in a trance, fingers digging into your skin on their own accord as you whine and moan at your own motions. Ready to take it further you use your hand previously holding your folds open to dip inside you, two fingers sliding in with no resistance.
“You don’t- fuck- you don’t have to be inside but a lot of people like a- a mixture of internal and external-“ You do your best to explain as you pump your fingers in and out of yourself, the lewd sound of your slick loud between your words.
“My fingers might be too big.” He’s not wrong as you watch them drift to the inside of your thigh and close to where you are working yourself.
“Don’t have to- you can use your mouth if you-“ Just the idea of him eating you out has your walls clenching around your fingers.
“Can I try- please-“ He sounds desperate, on the edge of begging you.
“Yes- fuck please-“
You let your hands drop as Katakuri uses his fingers to part your folds. His other hand maneuvers your legs up and around his face, your knees settling near his temples as he gets his mouth closer to where you need him. You watch his mouth split open and his tongue slip out, anticipation killing you as he moves slowly. Finally his tongue moves, the large muscle dragging a long stripe through your folds and up to your clit and you moan loud at the sensation. One of your hands grips into his hair as he repeats the motion, tongue digging deeper into your folds this time.
“Is that good- you taste good-“ He doesn’t even wait for your answer before he dives back in again, movements gaining confidence.
“Yeah- fuck- just like that just-“ You grind your hips into his face when his tongue reaches your clit again and he understands what you need.
He uses the tip of his tongue to press against your bud before sliding the thick muscle down again to slip between your folds. Slowly he presses his tongue into you, the size already overwhelming compared to your fingers. Despite his careful movements he pushes in too far too fast and you pull his hair hard.
“Hey- easy-“ You warn him and he pulls out of you quickly to look at you with concern.
“I’m sorry did I hurt you? We can stop I-“
“Just too much too soon- you just have to let me stretch out a bit.” You run your hand through his hair, petting him to calm him down.
“Okay, I can do that.” He presses a kiss to your thigh before diving back in.
He’s careful but he’s messy- part of it due to just how big his mouth and tongue are really. You feel your slick and his saliva coat your thighs as he laps at you, tongue seeking out every inch of you. The next time he pushes into you he’s much slower, letting the muscle flex inside you as you writhe beneath him. It’s wonderful but it’s just not quite enough. Your free hand goes between your legs and you almost have your fingers on your clit before Katakuri sends you a glance that stops you in your tracks.
“No-“ He says, barely pulling away. “Let me.”
You retract your hand and feel Katakuri’s thumb move to take its place, pressing down lightly as his tongue snakes it way back inside you. You swear loudly as he moves, grinding your hips into his fingers and tongue as he lets you use him to chase your pleasure.
“Just need you to- just move your finger a bit-“ You guide him and he obediently follows your direction, thumb moving in small circles like your finger had done before.
Looking down at him you watch as he’s lost in your taste, moaning into you at every grind of your hips and pull at his hair. You don’t miss the roll of his hips on the bed, no doubt desperate for the friction of the mattress beneath him. It’s all too much for you and you cry out his name as you cum, white blocking your vision. Katakuri doesn’t stop though, eagerly lapping at your juices even when you regain the strength to pull at his hair.
“Kat- fuck- baby stop-“ You don’t even register that you’ve said the pet name as he finally pulls off of you, confused.
“Did I hurt you again?”
“No ‘m just sensitive and it was a little too much right after I came.” You explain with a dazed smile.
“So you…” You nod and he smiles wide. “Didn’t want to assume-“
“Me screaming your name is a safe indicator.” You say with a small laugh.
He rests his head down, squishing your thigh and stomach a bit but you don’t mind the pressure at all, combing your fingers through his soft pink hair. The two of you sit like this for a bit, the silence comforting. Eventually though, you break that silence.
“I know you don’t like laying on your back but if you just want to sit up-“
“Oh- um- I’m-“
You’re a little confused at his reaction so you prop yourself up lightly to get a better look at him. “This is a mutual thing Katakuri- I don’t want to just-“
“Please, really don’t worry about me-“ You watch his face bloom with pink again and it clicks for you.
“Did you finish already?” You ask softly, no traces of judgement in your words.
“I’m sorry-“
“No- don’t be sorry.” You push yourself down so your face is level with his. “If you ask me it’s really hot that you came just from eating me out.”
“Oh- well-“ You press a light kiss to his mouth before he can stumble any further with his words.
“If you don’t want more I understand but if you can go another round there’s still some things on my mind…”
He captures your mouth in a messy kiss, a far cry from the chaste one you gave a moment ago. You can taste yourself on his lips as you’re pressed back into the bed by how eager he is. When you push on his shoulder lightly he breaks away and lets you breathe.
“Just don’t tell anyone about me being on my back.” He says seriously and you nod.
He rolls over, careful not to squish you in the process. As he does so you throw your shirt off, finally fully naked. Once he’s settled you climb onto him, his muscles flexing under you as you settle on his lower stomach. You watch as his hands ball into the sheets, forcing himself to stay still. As you slowly slide back though, he catches you off guard with a quiet question.
“When you said you had some more things on your mind… have you thought about this before?”
That freezes you in your tracks, embarrassment and shame filling up your stomach and catching in your throat. You lock your gaze to the side of him as you try and find your words. Logic tells you it’s stupid to be embarrassed at this point- he’d already enthusiastically ate you out- but your emotions dragged you down as you wonder if this really is just a practice run for him.
“You probably don’t want to know.” You answer, suddenly aware of how naked and cold you are.
“I just want to know if- hey…” One of his hands untangles from the sheets and a finger lightly presses against your chin to make you look at him. “I just want to know if you’ve been thinking about this as much as I have.”
That catches you off guard and while you think for a second he might be lying to you you see the honestly in his eyes. Of course. Why else would he show his face to you, lay on his back for you. You feel stupid for not realizing it sooner.
“I have been.” You confess, leaning your face into his hand.
You let yourself enjoy his touch, the warmth of his skin finally seeping into you and giving you the confidence to slink back down his body. You drag yourself down over the bulge in his pants, his cock already hard again. You slowly undo the large belt and fastenings of his pants, opening them up to see the dark patch in his boxers. Taking both your hands you tug the elastic waistband down and his cock springs out.
“I’ll just-“ One large hand gently picks you up as he raises his hips and shoves both layers down past his ass with the other, setting you back down where you were.
You would say thank you if you weren’t caught up staring at Katakuri’s cock. Obviously, it’s big. He’s big it makes sense but there’s a large gap between knowing something and seeing something. He’s flushed a beautiful shade of pink, large veins standing out along the underside. Your hand moves on its own accord to slide up it and the second you touch him you hear him groan. You scoot up closer next to him, and you would compare the length and girth to about the size of your thigh.
“Ah- I get the sensitivity thing now-“ He gasps and you smile.
“I have an idea- just let me-“ You swing your leg up and over so you’re straddling his length.
You’re still slick with saliva and your own juices, making it an easy glide as your grind yourself against his length. Katakuri’s hips buck up and you fall forward but before he can apologize you take advantage of this new position, licking at his smooth tip as you let your body slide against him.
“Fuck- that’s-“ You have the prefect view to watch his abdominals contract after every slide and lick you give him.
Your movements are not entirely selfless though, angling your hips so your clit grinds against him, bumping against his veins. You use your feet to slide up and down but it’s a bit hard to find a good rhythm as your legs aren’t used to this kind of movement.
“Need your help. I want you to slide me up and down.”
Katakuri looks at you, hand hesitating in the air. “But- I don’t want to just use you-“
“I want you to use me- please- this feels good for me too I just can’t keep it up.” You beg with him and that’s all the encouragement he needs as his large hand wraps around your midsection and slowly moves you.
There’s something about him using you, letting the soft skin of your stomach and thighs and folds grind against him, that makes your head go fuzzy. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before and it was bliss. It’s not very long at all until you feel Katakuri’s dick twitching under you and you know he’s going to cum again.
“Just let go for me, please Katakuri I want to see you-“
Your pleas are more than enough as you watch thick ropes of cum spill from his tip and onto his stomach. He holds you down as he cums and you don’t mind at all, getting a great view of his face from here. Eventually he relaxes and you slide off of his cock and wiggle your way up to his shoulder to lay your face next to him.
“Feel good?” You ask nuzzling into his neck.
“Very good.” He responds, still catching his breath. “Did… did you..?”
“No but that’s okay. Felt good.”
He huffs and you’re about to comfort him again but suddenly you’re flipped around with your back on the bed again. He stares down at you with a now confident smile.
“I think I could use some more practice then.”

I've got you.
Pairings: Casey Novak x reader.
Summary: Casey Novak's past definitely changed something in her, changed so many aspects of her life, there were so many things she thought she'd never be able to do again, like love someone or be loved. But that changed completely when she met the very clingy and lovely y/n.
A/n: This was requested by an anon, they requested some prompts and I tried to use them as best as I could; "The hugs that have you tugging them closer and closer to you that now both of you have trouble breathing and then pulling away laughing", "Snuggling up to you while wearing your hoodie that they look so cute in". I hope I did this right, because I feel like this is not exactly good, but here it is, some cute Casey fluff🥹 And I promise that more Calex, more Alex, and more Casey are coming soon. I'll try to finish the requests I have, and hopefully there will be more to come. Hope you guys enjoy this, leave comments, hearts, whatever you like and reblog so this gets some love🫶🏻

Throughout her whole life, Casey Novak was the type of girl that was energetic, her mother would say she was full of life. She was the kind of kid that loved hugging people, loved to make people smile and laugh, she had always been a happy kid. Growing up, she hasn’t changed much, she was still pretty much full of happiness and life, even if there were a lot of things going on, she still tried to keep that cheery energy she always had. That was until she started questioning so many things in her life, and then by college, she met Charlie. Things seemed to be alright, she had met someone that loved her and that accepted her for who she was; at least, that’s what she thought the first few months. She sometimes hated to admit that she was a clingy person, but she just wanted to show her partner love, but he pushed her away, he told her it was exhausting how energetic and cheery she was, and that’s when Casey started changing completely.
After Charlie, Casey didn’t really believe in love, she didn’t really trust many people, she never felt like opening up to them, showing that side of her that she had loved. She focused more on getting where she had dreamt of, and then focus on her job. And that’s how it went for a while. Joining Sex Crimes had brought so many memories back, she really didn’t think how hard the job would be until she had her first few cases. She tried to act tough, she tried for the cases not to get to her, even if after getting home, she’d do nothing more than cry. It was hard. But it was her job. And then, she met y/n.
It had been a random day, Casey was not even supposed to be having lunch at that time, but her arraignment had ended before time and so she decided to take the opportunity to get some lunch. Her card had declined, and she had forgotten to carry cash, but an angel had showed up that day and was kind enough to pay for Casey’s lunch. And that’s how it all started. After almost two months of coffee dates, lunch dates, dinner dates, etc., they finally made it official, which, it was a true surprise for Casey, because she never really expected that she’d be this happy again; no…she never expected she could actually be this happy, because this was like nothing else she ever knew. This was entirely a new feeling, which scared her the most, but partly, she was willing to try this, even if at the end…this could end bad.
It had been a few months since they both had made it official, they both couldn’t be happier with their relationship, already having their routines, seeing each other every possible chance, even the squad noticed Casey’s change, which…made them happy to see her happy, though it wasn’t confirmed, they had an idea of what was going on. Casey had been working throughout the whole day, arraignment after arraignment, she had a trial, and then paperwork, so all day long, she had been busy. The last thing she had expected was for her girlfriend to show up at work. She had been distracted with paperwork that she didn’t notice her girlfriend leaning over the doorframe, smiling as she stared at Casey. She then knocked on the door and her smile widened as Casey looked up at her.
“You’re here.” Casey smiled as she dropped her pen and stood up.
Y/n chuckled softly as she walked inside the office. “Of course I am. I saw your text, and I was sure that you wouldn’t eat dinner and just stay here.” She smiled softly as she placed the bag of food on the table and then walked to Casey, wrapping her arms around Casey’s waist.
Casey chuckled softly as she wrapped her arms around her neck and kissed her forehead. “And you had to be my knight in shining armor.”
“Always.” Y/n smiled as she pecked her lips and then hugged her tightly, burying her face in Casey’s neck.
Years ago, Casey would have been the one to give a hug like this, one where she tightly wrapped her arms around them, but she couldn’t even remember the last time she had hugged someone like this. The first time y/n hugged her like that, she had felt a bit odd about it and had felt bad about it, but she didn’t tell y/n. But the more y/n, the more Casey got used to it…the more she loved those hugs. Y/n squeezed, making Casey ‘dramatically’ gasp and they slowly pulled away, Casey’s arms slipping from her neck to be replaced by her hands, laughing as she leaned her forehead against y/n’s.
Casey pecked her lips softly and then smiled. “I’m glad you’re here. You’re…staying, right?” She looked into her eyes, a hint of hope in her own.
Y/n’s smile widened. “You really thought I’d leave you here alone? I brought my own work with me, need to grade some tests.”
Casey’s heart warmed at her words, her own smile widening. “Good, let’s eat first and then we get to work.”
Y/n nodded. “Sounds great to me.”
********************
It was Casey’s turn to do dinner tonight, it was their second week in their new apartment. Casey would be lying if she said she was not afraid at first of taking this big step in their relationship, the last time she had been in this situation, she had felt like she had lost part of herself. But after all, she had been the one suggesting this, because she had pictured herself living with y/n, waking up next to her, being breakfast to bed and just enjoying their free days together. No planning on ‘today at yours, tomorrow at mine’, it was now ‘I’ll see you home’. Casey was finishing up dinner when she felt arms wrapping around her, making her chuckle softly.
“You should be in bed, I’m almost done with dinner.” Casey smiled as she looked at her over her shoulder.
Y/n sighed as she rested her chin on Casey’s shoulder. “But I’ve slept enough. C’mon, Case. I’m feeling better. It was just the flu shot.”
“And yet, you got the flu.” Casey chuckled softly as she turned in y/n’s arms. “Are you sure you’re feeling better?”
Y/n nodded. “Yeah…just…missing you in bed.” She smiled softly.
Casey chuckled as she leaned down and kissed her forehead. “You’re adorable, you know?” She then wrapped her arms around y/n’s waist and hugged her tightly, burying her face in the crook of her neck.
“C-Case! Can’t breathe!” Y/n laughed softly as she wrapped her arms around Casey’s neck.
“Oops?” Casey laughed softly as she pulled away enough to look down at y/n, smiling softly. “Get back in bed and I’ll bring dinner?”
“Dinner will be…you?” Y/n grinned.
“Nice try, you still look tired, baby. But…” Casey pecked her lips softly. “…maybe tomorrow, when you feel better.”
Y/n chuckled. “How come you get to take care of me, but I can never take care of you?” She raised her brow as she stared at Casey.
Casey sighed. “Because I don’t need to be taken care of. I’m a big girl.” She smirked.
“Oh, and I’m not?”
“You’re my baby.” Casey said softly as she leaned down to kiss her lips softly. Before she gave it a second thought, she picked up y/n in bridal style, laughing again as y/n squealed and wrapped her arms around her neck.
“Casey! Put me down!” Y/n laughed softly.
“Nope, taking you back to bed so we can have dinner and watch movies.”
Casey had talked about it with y/n before, she liked to take care of her girlfriend, she liked to be the person that she needed, the person she looked for, and now that they were living together, Casey got to do all that and more, and she loved how happy y/n was. And she was happy too, she was the happiest she has ever been, but…she was still afraid to open up, she was still afraid to show that side of her where she needed someone, where she wanted nothing but being wrapped around their arms. It was frustrating, because she enjoyed when y/n showered her with love, when she was being clingy, when she wanted nothing more than have Casey hugging her or cuddling her, but then she overthought about it, and she thought that soon enough all of that would end, once Casey opened up more, y/n would leave.
********************
It was finals season, so Casey knew that y/n would be extra busy, which resulted in Casey hiding the fact that she had been feeling sick the last two days. She woke up pretty early in the morning to leave, and come back home pretty late so y/n wouldn’t notice this. She now sat at her desk, her hands buried in her hair and her eyes closed as she tried to ignore the agonizing headache. She groaned softly as she heard a knock on the door, looking up to find Olivia walking into the office.
“Case…are you okay?” Olivia asked softly as she furrowed her brows.
“I uh…yeah. I’m perfectly fine.” Casey nodded. “You need something?”
Olivia tilted her head as she smiled. “You’re sick, aren’t you?”
Casey sighed as she rubbed her face. “Stress and weather didn’t exactly agree.”
“Yeah, well, is that time of the year.” Olivia chuckled. “Why don’t you go home?”
“Because…I’m fine.” Casey shrugged as she grabbed her pen and tried to go back to her paperwork.
“Has anyone ever told you that you’re stubborn?” Olivia grinned.
Casey looked back at Olivia, grinning softly. “Just a couple of times.”
“Why don’t you go home?”
Casey sighed softly. “My girlfriend will find out that I’m sick.”
Olivia raised her brows. “And…that’s a problem…why?”
“I don’t want her to worry.”
“She’s your girlfriend. She should worry, and-“
“I don’t want to be a burden to her, I…I become…annoying when I’m sick. I just…” Casey sighed. “I don’t know. It’s a lot.”
“Charlie. Right?” Olivia sat down in one of the chairs as she stared at Casey.
Casey looked up at Olivia as she nibbled on her lip. “Yeah.”
Olivia nodded. “For what you’ve told me about your girlfriend, she really does love you, Casey. And you know what I think? That she’d do anything for you, just like you’d do anything for her. And you showing that you need her…that’s not gonna change the way she thinks about you. I think she’ll be happy that you need her.”
Casey stared at her for a moment, her eyes getting watery as she nodded. “I used to be a person who would love to hug people, you know? Who would…who would be such a cheery and happy person. And I love making y/n smile and laugh. God, she looks so beautiful when she’s smiling.” She huffed a chuckle. “And I’m afraid that if I’m clingier…she’ll just…I don’t know…”
“She’ll love it. Because she loves you for you.”
Casey smiled softly as she tried to hold back her tears. “So, you don’t need anything from me?”
Olivia shook her head. “Go home and call your girlfriend.”
Casey didn’t take long before she chose to listen to Olivia. She grabbed all of her stuff and before she left, she headed to Elizabeth’s office to let her know she was leaving. Once she got home, she sighed heavily as she felt odd, this was not like her but in reality, she really did feel bad. She texted y/n and went ahead to change into comfortable clothes. She thought about making some tea and taking some pills to feel better, but as she took her time to do her normal routine after work, she heard the door opening and closing, making her walk out of their room confused as to how fast y/n had come home.
“Y/n? I texted you like…20 min ago.”
Y/n nodded. “And you thought I’d just ignore your text and come until later? Case, why didn’t you tell me you were sick?” She said softly as she put her stuff away, taking her shoes off before walking to Casey, placing her hand carefully on her forehead. “God, you’re burning up, Case.”
Casey chuckled softly. “It’s not as bad as it looks.”
Y/n tilted her head as she smiled a little. “Oh, here comes stubborn Novak.”
Casey gasped as she smiled a little. “What are you talking about?”
“You’re gonna say you’re fine, that you just need to sleep, and then you won’t let me do anything for you.” Y/n raised her brow as she grinned.
Casey stared at her and sighed softly, her hands going to y/n’s waist to pull her closer. “You’re right. But…I do need you.”
Y/n’s face softened as she stared at Casey, a smile appearing on her face. “You do?”
Casey nodded as she smiled. She leaned down as she tugged y/n closer, burying her face in the crook of her neck. Suddenly, she felt emotional and once again, her eyes started watering. Y/n furrowed her brows as she wrapped her arms around Casey, cradling her head and running her fingers through her hair. She suddenly felt Casey’s body trembling and that’s when she understood. Y/n sighed softly as she held Casey, holding her tighter and kissing her head.
“Talk to me?” Y/n whispered softly.
“I-I need you. And I’m…I was…I was afraid if I told you…you’d see the mess I was. I didn’t want you to figure out that…that what I went through had caused me so much pain and trauma.” Casey sniffled, her voice cracking with every word. “But I need you. And I want to open up to you. And right now…right now I feel so bad. I feel…my whole body hurts badly.”
Y/n’s heart broke; Casey had cried in front of her before, she had been a little vulnerable, but not like this. Never like this. “Baby…nothing could ever make me change the way I see you or think about you. I love you. So much.” She kissed her head again and sighed softly.
Casey pulled away enough to look at her, tears rolling down her cheeks. “You mean it?”
Y/n smiled. “You know…when you think I’m sleeping…I can feel you pulling me closer to you. And at times, you do it unconsciously.” She huffed a chuckle as she wiped her tears. “I know I’ve seen most of you, maybe not all of it but…I want to. I want to know Casey. The good and the bad. Whatever you have to give…I want it.”
Casey smiled through her tears. “Even if I’m clingier than you?”
Y/n chuckled. “Oh, we gonna have competition now?”
Casey shrugged. “Maybe so.” She smiled softly.
“Then be it, Novak. You win in court, I win here.” Y/n chuckled softly as she leaned in and pecked her lips softly. “So…will you let me take care of you?”
Casey smiled as she nodded. “Please? I’m…so tired. I just want to lay in bed and cuddle you.”
Y/n smiled, running her hand through Casey’s hair. “Then let’s go to bed. But, let me get the thermometer first and some medicine.”
Casey nodded. “Sure.”
Y/n kissed the tip of her nose and was about to move to the kitchen but before she did, she grabbed Casey’s hand and stopped her from walking away, furrowing her brows. “You’re…are you wearing my hoodie?” She smiled softly.
Casey looked down at the hoodie and then up at y/n, smiling shyly. “You mind?”
Y/n’s smile widened, and she shook her head, leaning in and kissing her dimple. “Not at all. You look beautiful in it. I love seeing you in it.”
Casey smiled and then walked back to their bedroom. Once y/n got everything she needed, she walked to their room and checked on Casey before she laid in bed with her. Y/n knew there was so much they had to talk about, but right now, right in this moment, she just wanted to hold Casey. The way Casey had wrapped her arms around her middle, buried her face in her neck, tightening her arms around her every now and then…y/n could get used to this. She wanted this forever, she loved Casey so much that she’d do anything for her. She was ready to love Casey.

Warmth - Part Three
Tumblr media
18+ ---- {Masterlist}
This is just a smutty little thing about being in an arraigned marriage to a certain original vampire.
If you rather read this on Ao3- Link is here
{Part One} {Part Two}
Back in the vibrant streets of New Orleans, relishing in your newfound freedom. Life takes an unexpected turn as the shadows of your past life loom large, pulling you back into the life you just escaped. Yet, amidst the haunting echoes, you find strength in a partner who is ready to go to any lengths for you.
8k words (whoops) - Warnings: Smut, drama & Elijah being a wife guy.
Tumblr media
Part Three
The blissful week of your honeymoon unfolded like a dream, each moment seemingly plucked from a fairy tale. The idyllic cottage, delicious food, and fantastic sex painted a picture of a life you never thought possible.
Now, back in New Orleans, a newfound sense of liberation coursed through you. This freedom allowed you to make choices without restraint, doing whatever pleased you without scrutiny.
You spent the day at the record shop, browsing for a particular album that was deeply sentimental to you. When you found it, you almost squealed with glee, leaving the shop with a huge grin on your face.
You decided to walk back to the compound, enjoying the sun on your bare skin. During your time with the human faction, modest dressing was mandatory, even in sweltering weather. Yet, when Rebekah presented the daring silk backless dress for your wedding, you dared to dream of a possible future with true freedom. Now, you were living it.
However, your happiness took a sudden hit when you crossed paths with some faction wives on the street. Their envious and disdainful looks made you feel self-conscious in your short leather skirt and knee-high boots.
"I thought you would be dead by now," one of them remarked with a sneer, scanning your outfit with disapproval.
"Is your husband just keeping you around as a snack?" another quipped, her words laced with sharp mockery.
"Actually, I just got back from my honeymoon," you replied, trying to politely leave the conversation.
Laughter erupted from the group as they exchanged incredulous looks. "Vampires don't procreate, darling. What's the point of all that?" one of them scoffed.
Your patience wore thin, and with a tight smile, you excused yourself. "Well, I have better things to do than…this. Enjoy your day."
As you walked away, their judgment lingered in the air, casting a shadow over your earlier joy. You knew they were victims just as much as you had been; they coped with their circumstances by making others feel as bad as them. With your head held high, you headed back to the compound, trying not to let them dampen your mood.
Tumblr media
Klaus stormed up to you in a huff, his accusing gaze piercing through you as you entered through the main gate. "Where were you, and what did you do?" he demanded, suspicion heavy in his voice.
"Uhh, I went to the record store and bought a record?" You replied, a confused look on your face.
"There was an attack on a group of vampires, orchestrated by the human faction," Klaus stated, giving you an icy glare.
"I'm sorry to hear that," you said sincerely.
Klaus leaned in, his voice dropping to a dangerous growl. "Are you still involved with the humans? Are you a spy for them?"
"Niklaus," Elijah’s voice cut through the tension, he was standing on the balcony above, giving his brother a stern look. "There's no way she's a spy. She was abused by them, not collaborating with them."
Klaus crossed his arms, skepticism etched on his face. "Abuse could be a convenient cover, Elijah. We both know the lengths people go to achieve their goals."
You stepped forward, a hint of frustration in your voice. "I had a run-in with some of the faction wives. They insulted and questioned me, I'm not a spy."
Klaus raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "What did you talk about?"
"Just casual things," you replied with a forced nonchalance. "The honeymoon, mostly. They threw in some comments about vampires not being able to procreate. It was just a rather short and grating interaction."
Elijah descended the stairs and stood beside you, placing a protective hand on your waist. "When did this happen?" He asked gently.
"Like an hour ago," you replied, looking from Klaus to Elijah as they shared a silent exchange. "Do you think the attack has something to do with me?"
"Possibly," Klaus replied, pacing around with his usual dramatic flair. "The attack happened not long after your interaction with them."
Elijah's phone suddenly rang, and his expression turned dark when he answered it. Klaus was staring at him, clearly listening to the conversation you couldn't hear; his expression changed from serious to frighteningly amused.
When Elijah hung up, a heavy sigh escaped him, and he looked at Klaus with a deep furrow in his brow. "It seems we have been invited to a dinner party with your former faction," he said to you, bitterness lacing his tone.
"Why?" you asked, the word barely escaping your lips as a surge of anxiety tightened your throat.
"Apparently, renegotiations," Elijah replied with a hint of darkness in his tone, his gaze locking onto yours. He gently clasped your trembling hand, planting a reassuring kiss against it. "You will be fine," he assured you.
"I thought as much," Klaus said with a bitter laugh, "Looks like your little alliance isn't going as you planned, dear brother."
Elijah shot Klaus a disapproving glare. "I understand you've never approved of my methods, but everything I did was to avoid further bloodshed."
Klaus rolled his eyes, beginning to stroll away, leaving you both with a sardonic smile. "It appears my methods might be more fitting in this situation, unless you're willing to return her," Klaus uttered darkly, gesturing toward you.
Elijah’s grip on your waist tightened. "That's not an option."
"I know, brother, I know," Klaus laughed as he left the courtyard, clearly amused by the whole situation.
Despite Elijah's comforting words, irrational thoughts flooded your mind. Was Klaus right? Was this some cruel ploy to reclaim you, to drag you back into a life you had just escaped?
Elijah sensed your apprehension, his thumb gently stroking the back of your hand. "I won't let anything happen to you," he vowed, his eyes filled with a protective intensity.
"You don’t know what they are like," you confessed nervously, your voice barely above a whisper. "What if they want to break the alliance? Take me back?"
Elijah's gaze held a steady determination. "They can break the alliance if they please, but that would be remarkably unwise of them," he replied, his tone unwavering. He tightened his embrace, as if shielding you from an impending storm. "You're not a pawn to be traded back and forth; they have no power to reclaim you."
Elijah's confidence gave you strength, calming the waves of anxiety that threatened to engulf you. He would protect you. No one could take you away from him.
A small smile curled his lips as he placed a soft kiss against your forehead. "This might actually be a blessing in disguise," he mused, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Perhaps a demonstration of their misguided arrogance is required."
Tumblr media
"No," you said firmly, folding your arms across your chest.
"You would look so beautiful in it," Elijah protested, gesturing toward the garment bag draped over a chair.
"It's not really dinner party appropriate," you said with a shrug, not wanting to reveal the real reason behind your reluctance.
Elijah cocked his head, studying you intently. "Is this about the dress or something else?"
You hesitated, glancing away. "It's about everything. The attack, the faction wives, the fact that I'm about to dine with people who treated me like property."
"They have no power over you anymore," Elijah reminded you, gently taking your hand in his. "And where has your rebellious spirit flown off too all of a sudden?"
"I guess I just want to prove them wrong," you said, shrugging slightly. "I want them to see that I've won, that I'm happy. Wearing a dress that is far too risqué would undermine that."
"My dear," Elijah murmured, pulling you close and gently cupping your cheek, "They will never accept you as anything other than an object. No matter what you wear. That is not your burden to bear; it is theirs."
His words pierced through your self-doubt, filling you with a newfound sense of conviction. He was right; your only duty was to be yourself, not to try and live up to their impossible expectations.
"You’re right," you said, looking up at him as a devious smile spread across your lips. "But it will piss them off, and that could make negotiations more difficult."
"It's a risk I'm willing to take," he replied with a smirk, his arms wrapping around your waist affectionately.
Your eyes narrowed, a playful smirk tugging at your lips. "So, you want me to dress up to embarrass them?"
Elijah leaned down, his lips brushing against your ear. "I want you to show them exactly who you are and how powerful you have become," he said softly, giving you an encouraging kiss on the cheek.
With a renewed sense of determination, you stepped towards the garment bag and fully unzipped it, taking out a breathtaking silk dress. It was black, with a daringly low back and a slit that would reveal almost all of your leg. It was the perfect mix of sophisticated and sexy, the kind of dress that the faction would completely disapprove of.
You smiled as you slipped on the dress, savoring the feeling of the cool silk against your skin. A thrill ran through you at the thought of what tonight might bring, a strange mix of anxiety and excitement.
Elijah looked at you, a combination of pride and admiration on his face. The hunger in his eyes was palpable, and it made you want to rip his clothes off and let him have his way with you.
But, alas, there was a dinner party to attend.
Tumblr media
The car pulled up to the grand estate, and the familiar sight stirred memories you had fought hard to bury. The imposing structure, the opulent surroundings—they whispered of a past that still clung to you. It had only been a few weeks since you had left this life behind, and now you were thrust back into its midst.
Elijah ushered you through the door, his hand offering warmth and reassurance as he drew you close. "Try and relax. I will kill them all before they lay a finger on you," he assured with a grin, sealing the promise with a gentle kiss on your cheek before guiding you inside.
As dinner approached, you found yourself surrounded by your adoptive sisters and faction wives, a gathering of women who had consistently cast you as the family's black sheep. The forced marriage to Elijah was intended to be your punishment, and in the weeks leading up to the wedding, they took every opportunity to remind you of it.
Their eyes, once filled with disdain, now flickered with a mix of envy and fear as they noticed Elijah's presence across the room.
"Isn't he attractive," one of them commented, eyes lingering on Elijah. "I wish my husband looked like that."
"He's a vampire, for goodness' sake. I wouldn't want to be near him," another replied, her tone a mix of fascination and repulsion.
You smiled politely, choosing not to engage in their speculative chatter. The women, fueled by curiosity and perhaps a tinge of jealousy, couldn't resist bombarding you with questions.
"So, how does he... treat you?" one of them asked, her expression a mix of faux concern and genuine intrigue.
"Does he, like, drink your blood?" another blurted out with a shudder, as if the mere thought was enough to make her cringe.
"He must mind-control you, being a vampire and all," another woman remarked, her tone dripping with condescension.
You attempted to change the subject. "Do you ladies know what this dinner party is about?" You asked, trying to seem nonchalant.
"Our husbands don't share that sort of information with us," one added, giving you a critical look. "It's not for us to concern ourselves with."
"I've heard it's because your husband is not living up to his end of the deal," another added, clearly loving the chance to gossip.
"No, Elijah is a man of his word." You argued, looking around at the women. "I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding."
"There is no misunderstanding your recent behavior," the ringleader interjected. "Perhaps the faction is unhappy with your marriage, that it's not meeting their expectations," she added, barely hiding her amusement.
"What was the expectation exactly? That I'd be subjugated by my husband?" you replied harshly.
They scoffed, exchanging knowing glances. "You have been parading around like a whore and out in public without an escort. I've also heard rumors about that honeymoon of yours; you always did have a penchant for the scandalous," one of them commented, a malicious smirk playing on her face.
You raised an eyebrow, unable to resist returning their insults. "Well, I suppose being miserable is a tradition around here. But don't worry, I'll let you know if I ever need advice on how to be unhappy and unsatisfied."
"Oh, dear," one of them scoffed, feigning pity. "You must be so blinded by the allure of a vampire that you can't see the chains he'll undoubtedly tighten around you."
Another chimed in, suggesting, "Perhaps he inflicts pain in bed, then erases it from your mind with mind control."
"It's only fitting you endure such punishment, since you tarnished yourself before marriage," added another with a venomous tone.
"You know, it's fascinating how you all revel in your misery," you retorted, your words cutting through the whispers of the women.
"I heard vampires get bored easily," one of them sneered. "What happens when he loses interest in you?"
As their petty remarks continued, you maintained your composure, refusing to let their jealousy and bitterness affect you. Just before the conversation could delve further into the realm of absurdity, Elijah gracefully approached, cutting through the toxic atmosphere with his warm presence.
"Ladies," he greeted them with a charming smile, "how delightful to see you all."
They greeted him with forced smiles, their eyes shifting between you and Elijah. The ringleader couldn't resist her curiosity. "Are you happy with your new bride, Mr. Mikaelson?"
Elijah's eyes met yours, a fondness in their depths. "Immensely," he replied sincerely. "I believe I've married the best your faction has to offer."
A collective gasp rippled through the women, and you couldn't help but smirk at their transparent jealousy. Elijah then turned to you, placing a gentle kiss on your cheek that seemed calculated to fuel their envy.
"I must steal my lovely wife away for a moment," he announced, gently leading you away from the disapproving gazes. The lingering resentment from the women was almost tangible as you followed Elijah, escaping the judgmental whispers.
"They implied that they know details about our honeymoon, what a bunch of fucking weirdos," you whispered to Elijah in the shelter of a quiet corridor.
A small, understanding smile played on his lips as he gently pushed you against a wall, leaning in to kiss you softly. "They have spies everywhere," he whispered. His lips then trailed down your neck, each kiss a deliberate act of defiance against the gossiping crowd.
"They are being petty and bitter, still trying to punish me," you admitted breathlessly, your emotions a whirlwind as Elijah's touches sparked a mixture of desire and rebellion.
"What exactly did you do?" Elijah asked, gently pulling away from the delicate curve of your neck, curiosity dancing in his eyes. "You only mentioned that you were not considered pure by them."
You placed your hands on his chest, idly toying with his tie. "I may have been caught, you know, engaging in some activities with a young man in the garden," you confessed, avoiding direct eye contact, your cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
A low chuckle escaped Elijah, followed by another gentle kiss. "Good work," he teased, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I'm sure that stirred up quite a reaction."
"It did," you responded, a sheepish grin crossing your face. "They couldn't proceed with marrying me off to his father after that."
You made eye contact with Elijah and the both of you burst out laughing, the sound echoing unexpectedly in the quiet corridor. Swiftly realizing the need for composure, you both attempted to stifle the laughter.
"We can always try to further tarnish your reputation," Elijah teased, a playful grin on his lips as he leaned in for another kiss.
Your smile lingered, but you gently pushed him away. "As much as I would love that," you replied playfully, "I believe we should consider playing along. Maybe we can still find a way to maintain some semblance of peace."
"If that is what you desire," Elijah responded with a smile. He took your hand and led you toward the dining hall.

The air in the grand dining room was thick with tension as you headed to your seat. This room, once off-limits to you, now hosted a gathering that felt more like a trial than a negotiation. Familiar faces, some masked in false pleasantries, stared back at you. Uncomfortable memories resurfaced, and you wished you could erase the knowledge of these people from your past.
Elijah guided you with a protective hand on the small of your back, his presence a reassuring anchor in the storm of emotions. You sat down next to your adoptive mother, avoiding her icy gaze. The air was thick with tension, and the clinking of cutlery against fine china echoed through the room.
Your former adoptive mother stood, gesturing for the other guests to remain seated. Her stern gaze turned to you and Elijah.
"It is so good to see you both," she began, her voice dripping with fake sincerity. "I'm sorry we haven't had the opportunity to properly catch up."
You forced a smile, hoping it was convincing enough. "The pleasure is all ours, mother," you lied. "Thank you for hosting such a wonderful evening."
The dinner progressed as expected, with the usual banal small talk and insincere pleasantries. You could feel the tension in the room, a palpable reminder that no one truly wanted you here.
As the dessert was taken away, your adoptive father stood and cleared his throat, capturing the attention of everyone in the room. "Mr. Mikaelson," he began, addressing your husband with a stern gaze, "It seems that we must discuss some new terms if our alliance is to be maintained."
Elijah, ever composed, inclined his head slightly, acknowledging the formality. "I am open to discussions," he replied evenly.
"When we agreed to marry one of our precious daughters to you, we expected a more old-fashioned approach. There must be a clear understanding of hierarchy. We are aware that our dear daughter may have... unconventional views on equality, but for the sake of harmony, you must maintain a certain level of control over her." your adoptive father continued, his gaze unwavering.
"So, you’ve called me here to discuss… what exactly?" Elijah asked, his voice dripping with disdain. "That I make my wife unhappy?"
The tension in the room escalated, each word carrying the weight of expectations and the unspoken threat of consequences. You gripped the edge of your chair, feeling the eyes of the faction bore into you.
"Our faction values tradition, and you and your wife's... liberal perspectives should not compromise the delicate balance we've achieved." Your adoptive mother added, her tone icy.
"My understanding is that you view me as an evil, degenerate monster, and yet you willingly gave your daughter to my family." Elijah said smoothly, leaning casually in his chair and looking around the table at the cowering faces. "It was you that insisted on a marriage pact, because you wanted to punish her."
Your former adoptive mother sighed and rolled her eyes. "She was always a rebellious child, and we had hoped she would learn some discipline under your watch."
"You have no authority to impose any rules over my wife, and as her husband, I have every right to ensure her happiness," Elijah replied, his voice low and dangerous.
The faction members exchanged uneasy glances, sensing a shift in the balance of power. Elijah continued, sarcasm lacing his words. "I apologize that your punishment didn't go as planned… but that's not my concern. Now do you have anything of actual value to discuss with me?"
Amidst the whispered threats and veiled insults, your adoptive mother leaned in, her voice a venomous whisper. "You're nothing more than a vampire's whore, my dear. He'll grow tired of you, mark my words. You'll age, and when you're no longer a viable hole, he'll discard you like yesterday's trash."
The words cut deep, and you shot her a wounded look. It wasn't the first time they had called you a whore, but it stung more this time.
"I'd rather be a vampire's whore than a spineless, miserable woman like you." You seethed. The words were out of your mouth before you could think.
She laughed, her voice sharp and cold. "You truly are a disgrace to the family."
Before you could respond, Elijah placed a calming hand on yours. He smiled, the gesture a sharp contrast to the rage you knew he was fighting to control. "Let me make something perfectly clear. She is a Mikaelson now and you have no control over what we do,"
Elijah's voice, though measured, carried a stern authority that demanded attention. The faction members, accustomed to their position of influence, shifted uncomfortably in their seats. Your adoptive mother, however, met Elijah's gaze with a defiant smirk.
"We understand, but surely you can see the wisdom in maintaining a balance between power and freedom. You wouldn't want our factions to go to war because of her actions, now would you?" Your adoptive mother challenged, her gaze fixed on Elijah.
Elijah's lips curved into a sardonic smile. "You seem to be under the illusion that I need this alliance. I agreed to it for the sake of peace, but do not mistake my compliance for weakness. I could easily rip out every single one of your tongues before you could utter a word in protest."
The room fell silent, and a cold shiver ran down the spines of the faction members as they found themselves face to face with the unyielding determination of a thousand-year-old vampire. Elijah's eyes gleamed with a dangerous glint, and the air became charged with an unmistakable tension.
Your adoptive father, attempting to salvage some semblance of control, stammered, "Mr. Mikaelson, there's no need for threats. We are merely trying to establish a harmonious relationship."
Elijah's gaze remained fixed on your adoptive mother, his tone low and menacing. "My family has a tendency to respond decisively when one of our own is threatened."
Elijah's words hung in the air like a dark omen. The grand dining room, once a space for diplomacy and negotiation, now crackled with an impending sense of conflict. The faction members, who had been so assured of their position, exchanged uneasy glances as the weight of Elijah's threat settled over them.
Your adoptive mother, her earlier bravado waning, swallowed hard. The malicious glint in her eyes faded into a flicker of doubt. For the first time, the façade of control she had meticulously maintained began to crumble.
Elijah rose to his feet, causing unease to ripple through the faction members. He bestowed upon them a sinister smile, wide but devoid of warmth, "Well then, it appears negotiations have reached their conclusion." His gaze shifted to your adoptive father, the sinister expression unwavering. "If we are not allies, I suppose we are at war."
With that, Elijah turned to you, reaching out his hand, and together, you walked out of the room, leaving the faction to their fear and uncertainty. The night air was cool and fresh as you stepped out into the garden, the tension finally releasing from your shoulders. Elijah's presence beside you was comforting, a solid reassurance that the night was over.
He pulled you close, his eyes searching yours. "Are you alright?" he asked softly, his hand caressing your cheek.
You smiled, feeling a wave of relief wash over you. "I'm fine," you replied, leaning into his touch. His other hand found yours, fingers intertwining in a silent affirmation of unity.
"You didn't have to do that for me," you said quietly, feeling far too vulnerable to meet his gaze.
"Of course I did," he replied, softly, placing a lingering kiss on your cheek. "You are my family."
As you gazed into his eyes, a feeling of longing bloomed within you. "I can't believe you threatened them like that," you breathed.
"Well, they were being quite rude," Elijah remarked, his voice tinged with amusement.
His lips grazed yours in a soft kiss, his arms pressing your body to his. You let yourself sink into the moment, savoring the quiet intimacy. He pulled away from the kiss and looked around the garden, giving you a mischievous look. “You know… I have an idea,"
You raised an eyebrow, amused by his sudden playful demeanor. "Oh, really? And what would that be?"
He didn't answer, but his eyes sparkled with mischief. You followed him deeper into the garden, where he pulled you close and began to kiss you again. His hands moved up your back, tracing your bare skin with his fingertips.
"Elijah," you gasped, his touches setting every nerve on fire. “What if they catch us out here?"
He didn't respond, just kissed you harder, his lips hungry and eager. You surrendered to the kiss, letting yourself fall into the passion of the moment.
The night air was filled with the sound of your breathless moans as Elijah kissed your neck, his lips brushing against the sensitive skin. He slowly pulled down the straps of your dress, revealing your bare chest to the moonlight.
His eyes roamed over your body, taking in every curve and inch of skin. He cupped one breast, teasing the nipple with his thumb. Your breath caught as his other hand slipped under the slit of your dress, his fingers exploring the hem of your panties.
“Where exactly did they catch you with that boy?" He whispered in your ear.
"Behind the fountain," you said, the memory making you blush.
A playful smile danced across his lips. He took your hand and led you behind the stone sculpture, pressing you against the wall. He kissed your neck, his lips lingering on the soft skin. You felt his fingers sliding under the thin fabric of your underwear.
You bit your lip, stifling a moan as his fingers brushed against your clit, his eyes fixed on your face. He stroked the sensitive spot slowly, watching your reaction with a satisfied smile.
"Did he touch you here?" he asked softly.
"Yes," you managed to breathe out, your heart racing at the memory.
Elijah's lips curved into a smirk, his gaze darkening. He pressed his body closer, a hand running down your leg and lifting your thigh around his hip. His fingers continued their gentle rhythm before he slipped a finger inside you, his lips inches away from yours.
"And did you enjoy it?" he whispered.
"Yes," you gasped.
He increased the pressure, his fingers moving faster, drawing a gasp from you. You felt the familiar tightening in your stomach, the heat building between your legs.
"I bet he was clumsy and inexperienced," he teased, his voice a low purr.
You moaned in response, your eyes closing as his fingers slid deeper.
"I bet he didn't know how to please a woman like you."
His breath was hot on your skin as his fingers continued their slow rhythm, driving you closer and closer to the edge.
"Elijah," you whimpered.
"What is it, sweetheart?" he asked.
"I need more," you pleaded.
His lips curved into a smirk. "More, what?"
"Stop teasing me," you moaned, gripping at his shoulders.
He chuckled and slid a second finger inside you, curling them at the perfect angle. You gasped as his fingers began moving faster, his thumb circling your clit. Your breath came in short gasps, your body trembling under his touch.
You felt the pressure building, your hips bucking against his hand, desperate for release.
He withdrew his fingers and his lips captured yours, kissing you deeply. You whined into his mouth, desperately frustrated by his denial.
“Please fuck me," you begged, your hands gripping his hair, keeping him close to you.
“Where is the nearest bench?" He teased, a wide lustful smile on his face.
You pointed to a nearby stone bench behind him and he scooped you up and in a flash you were seated in his lap upon it.
His lips claimed yours again, and his hands gripped your hips. You straddled him, your hands roaming his body, feeling his muscles flex beneath his shirt. You could feel his cock straining against his pants, and you rubbed yourself against it, desperate for friction.
"So impatient," he teased, his voice a low growl.
You reached down, unbuckling his belt and undoing his pants. You took him in your hand, stroking him slowly. His breath hitched, his hips bucking against your touch.
“You know, I had this particularly naughty idea of fucking you right on the dining table," he purred, gazing at you with admiration.
You moaned at the thought, imagining him taking you on the grand table, surrounded by the shocked faces of the faction members. You lifted yourself slightly and lowered onto his length, savoring the way he filled you.
His eyes closed, a soft groan escaping his lips. You began to move, riding him slowly, taking him deeper with each thrust.
His hands gripped your hips, guiding you as you rocked against him. You moaned, feeling the tension building again. You leaned forward, pressing your breasts into his face.
He began kissing and sucking your nipples, his teeth gently scraping against the sensitive skin. The sensation sent shivers through your body, and you cried out, arching your back.
You quickly covered your mouth, afraid of getting caught. He smiled, his hands pulling your arms away, allowing your moans to fill the air.
"Let them hear," he growled.
He gripped your hips tighter, thrusting up into you with a fierce intensity. You leaned forward, burying your face in his neck, muffling your cries. You began to tighten around him, your body shaking with pleasure.
"I told you, sweet wife, don't be quiet," he commanded.
You let go, moaning his name as the orgasm rocked your body. Your nails dug into his shoulders, and you felt him tense, his cock pulsing inside you as he filled you with his cum.
You collapsed against him, breathing heavily, and his arms wrapped around you. He kissed your temple, holding you close.
"Are you ready to go home?" He asked softly.
You nodded, still catching your breath. "Yes."
He smiled and picked you up, his arms cradling you. You felt safe and content in his embrace, the stress of the evening fading away. He set you down near the car, some of the faction members had gathered outside, watching you with disapproving glares.
“They definitely heard us," you whispered as Elijah opened the passenger door for you.
He leaned down and kissed you on the cheek, the gesture full of warmth and love. "Good," he said. "Let them hear how happy I make you."
As you sat in the car, watching him walk around to the driver's side, a thought crossed your mind. This was what real freedom was, the freedom to love and be loved. It was not the absence of boundaries, but the choice to cross them when it suited you.
You gazed at Elijah, his eyes shining in the dim light of the car, and your heart swelled. It was in that moment you realized that you had truly fallen for him.

When you arrived at the compound, Elijah went off to discuss matters with Klaus, and you returned to your bedroom. You were still getting used to the place being your home. Elijah put in a lot of effort to make you feel comfortable, even suggesting renovations. You laughed at the idea, the entire concept so foreign to the life you had always known.
You eyed the record you had purchased that morning; after the day's events, you had completely forgotten about it. You smiled and unwrapped it, placing it on the new record player Elijah had bought for you.
You smiled as the music filled the room, pulling off your dress and changing into more comfortable clothing. Then you settled by the fireplace, sinking into the sofa and letting out a soft sigh of contentment. Feeling relaxed was something you had to practice. Living back with the faction, you were always on edge, and even when you slept, your dreams were fraught with anxiety. But somehow, here, surrounded by the deadliest family on earth, you felt safe and calm.
You heard a knock at the door and expected to see Elijah, to your surprise it was Klaus, leaning in the doorframe with his usual causal arrogance.
“Sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if we could have a little chat," he said, a sly smile playing on his lips.
Curiosity piqued, you invited him in and he took a seat next to you.
"Now that you're part of the family, I thought it was high time we got to know each other better," Klaus began, his tone surprisingly genial.
You seized the opportunity to address the lingering suspicion. "Do you still think I'm a spy?"
Klaus brushed off the question with a chuckle. "Let's leave suspicions behind for now. I'm more interested in hearing about your honeymoon, the one I so thoughtfully planned."
“It was lovely," you said sincerely, giving him a kind smile. “But the lingerie was a bit presumptuous of you," you teased.
Klaus chuckled, "Well, I thought if you two bonded, such undergarments would be appreciated."
You rolled your eyes at his comment, “well, the rest of it was very nice," you replied politely. “But I'm confused as to why you planned it in the first place,"
Klaus leaned back, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Why not? I enjoy orchestrating delightful surprises, and what better way to test the strength of your newfound alliance than a romantic getaway?"
You raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. "I thought you hated the alliance,"
He smirked. “I just wanted you two lovebirds to have a memorable time."
You sighed, realizing Klaus's motives were often shrouded in layers of complexity. "Fair enough. It was, indeed, memorable."
He leaned in, his tone turning more serious. "I hope the robbers didn't rough you up too much,"
Your eyes narrowed. "Elijah told you about that?"
Klaus shrugged coyly, "I just hope it didn't dampen the mood,"
You frowned. "Are you saying you orchestrated that?"
“When Elijah told me he was to marry, I did my research," Klaus gave you a knowing grin. “I was confused as to why the human faction would marry one of their women to a vampire, they loathe our very existence. They treat their women like livestock, to be traded and bred, so why would they insist on a marriage when they gain nothing from it? Then, I learned you were a bit infamous for being promiscuous."
You blushed, hating the knowledge of your poor reputation spreading. “Great," you said sarcastically, unable to meet Klaus’ gaze.
“I knew Elijah would treat you with the kind of respect you had never experienced before and the faction wouldn't be pleased, when they obviously handed you over as a way to hurt you," Klaus continued, giving you a wicked grin.
“How perceptive of you," you replied sardonically. “I fail to see why having me attacked on my honeymoon factors in,"
Klaus leaned back, a self-satisfied smile on his face. "You see, my dear, Elijah has a weakness. He can't resist saving a pretty face, and most women can't resist his heroic charm. It was meant to be a bonding exercise."
“So you saw a way to break the alliance, by using me to manipulate Elijah," you responded, a mixture of disbelief and frustration coloring your tone.
Klaus's eyes twinkled with mischief. "Oh, my dear, alliances in our world are as fickle as the wind. I merely set the stage for the inevitable. The human faction, their minds poisoned by centuries-old prejudices, would never truly accept a truce with vampires. This little ordeal was just the spark needed to set the powder keg ablaze."
You sighed, realizing that in the world of vampires, alliances and betrayals were as common as the moon in the night sky. "And what if I had been seriously hurt?"
Klaus's expression turned serious, a rare glimpse of sincerity in his eyes. “I compelled that robber to rough you up, not kill you,"
Despite the reassurance, a lingering unease settled in the pit of your stomach. "So, what now? Are we on the brink of war?"
Klaus chuckled, the sound carrying a hint of danger. "War, my dear, is inevitable. It's just a matter of when and how. I'm merely expediting the process. The human faction will never peacefully coexist with us. It's in their nature to fear what they don't understand."
You leaned back, grappling with the weight of the revelation. The idyllic honeymoon, orchestrated by Klaus, was nothing more than a chess move in a larger game of power and dominance. You were a pawn, unwittingly playing your part in a conflict that seemed destined to unfold.
"And what about Elijah?" you asked, your gaze piercing Klaus's calculating façade.
"Elijah will do what he must to protect what he loves," Klaus replied cryptically. "As will I."
“Well, just so you know, what you did wasn't even necessary," you replied, the flames from the fireplace dancing in your eyes. “Elijah and I had already bonded before the attack,"
Klaus let out a soft chuckle and stood up, “Elijah generally has that effect, I was just ensuring it," he teased. “Welcome to the family love," with that, he departed, leaving you equally annoyed and amused.
Elijah returned shortly after, wearing an expression of irritation. He settled down beside you, casually draping his arm over the back of the sofa behind you.
You smiled at him. "Bad meeting?"
He let out a tired sigh. "My brother has decided to be insufferable. But that's nothing new… I heard him come by here afterwards, what did he want from you?"
You turned to him, giving him a teasing smile. "Oh, you know, just trying to find out how the honeymoon was."
Elijah raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Did he mention how he set us up?"
"Yes," you replied with a chuckle, “he definitely gives interesting wedding presents."
Elijah's gaze softened. "I am sorry for my brother's antics."
"Well, I suppose it all worked out, except that we are now on the brink of war," you said with a teasing smile, leaning closer and kissing him.
Elijah brow furrowed and he sighed deeply, not returning the kiss. You gave him a concerned look, cupping his cheek as he avoided your gaze. “Care to go for a walk?" he proposed.
You nodded, a hint of anxiety bubbling within.

The journey led you to a quiet park bench overlooking the water. The night was still, the sky painted in inky black hues, and the only sounds were the distant hum of crickets and the gentle waves hitting the rocks.
"I want to discuss something important with you," Elijah spoke quietly, avoiding direct eye contact.
“The breaking of the alliance will have consequences, and you will be in the crossfire," he explained seriously, his hand finding yours. "This marriage puts a target on your back. I offer you your freedom—you can leave. I'll provide all the money you'll ever need, and you can make a real life for yourself, far away from this world."
In contemplative silence, you looked at Elijah. His expression held profound sadness. Though you hadn't known him for long, you understood the depth of his selflessness, doing what he believed was right, not necessarily what he desired.
"Elijah," you said softly, reaching out to cup his cheek. "You are the first person in my life who actually cares about me, and in return, I care about you. I'm not going anywhere."
"You won't have the life you deserve with me," he asserted, placing his hand on yours. "You can go, find a love you choose, have children, do whatever you want."
With a deep breath, you gazed into Elijah's eyes, unwavering in your determination. "I take my vows as seriously as you do," you asserted, your voice steady. "I choose you, Elijah."
He nodded to himself, his gaze shifting to the tranquil water. In a sudden, graceful move, he moved off the bench and dropped to one knee, looking at you with a serious expression, his eyebrows slightly raised. Elijah removed his daylight ring, extending it towards you.
"What are you doing?" you asked in surprise, chuckling at his gesture. "You are ruining your pants, kneeling in the dirt."
"Will you be my wife?" he asked, a gentle smile gracing his lips.
"Pretty sure I already am," you laughed, reaching out to pull him back to the bench, but he playfully slapped your hand away.
He chuckled softly, his eyes gleaming with affection. "This time, it's your choice,"
A warm smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you realized the sincerity in his eyes. "Yes," you answered, your voice filled with a mixture of joy and affection. "I would be honored."
Elijah's eyes softened, a genuine happiness reflecting in them. He slipped the daylight ring onto your finger and then pulled you into his arms. In the warmth of that park, surrounded by the night's stillness, you kissed him. Then, you uttered those three powerful words for the first time. "I love you, Elijah."
His eyes, already soft with affection, seemed to deepen in emotion. A wide smile spread across his features, and he pulled you even closer, as if wanting to etch this moment into eternity. "And I love you."

Epilogue
The sun streaming through the curtains roused you from sleep, and as you turned, you found your husband still in peaceful slumber. His serene expression intrigued you, wondering about the pleasant dreams that might be occupying his mind. You rested your head on his shoulder, snuggling close and listening to his deep breathing. He let out a soft sigh and a gentle grunt as he woke, kissing the top of your head sleepily. His arms wrapped around you, as he rested his head on yours.
Your fingers traced a path down his chest and torso, igniting a warmth that intensified between your legs. Slipping beneath the blankets, your hand settled over his boxers, sensing his arousal growing beneath your touch.
"Hmm," he mumbled, his finger gently lifting your chin, tilting your head upward, and capturing your lips in a kiss.
A smile played on your lips as you returned the kiss, your hand continuing its slow, teasing strokes through the fabric.
Elijah responded with a low, appreciative hum, his hands exploring the curves of your body as the intensity between you two escalated.
With a subtle movement, he guided you onto your back, breaking the kiss only momentarily. His eyes locked onto yours, a deep intensity reflecting in them.
“What does my lovely wife desire so early in the morning?" He teased, his lips mere inches from your own.
You let out a soft laugh, feeling the warmth of the morning sunlight creating a cocoon around the two of you. "Mmm...I have a few ideas," you whispered, your voice carrying a hint of playful mischief.
He grinned, his eyes brightening as he lowered his head, his lips grazing your neck. Your eyelids fluttered closed, as you sighed in contentment. The sensation of his mouth and hands elicited a series of breathy moans, a warm ache building between your legs.
“Does my wife need me to fuck her into our bed?" he asked in a soft tone, his hands parting your legs.
You bit your lip, your eyes meeting his with an intensity that mirrored the desire growing within you. "Desperately," you admitted, a playful gleam in your eyes.
Elijah's hands traced a tantalizing path up your thighs, and his lips met yours in a hungry kiss. “Already so wet for me," he murmured in your ear, his finger brushing over your clit, causing your hips to twitch. Elijah continued to touch you with slow deliberate circles, each movement bringing you closer to the edge.
Unable to resist any longer, you tugged at his boxers. Elijah positioned himself between your legs, the anticipation in his eyes mirroring your own. Eagerly, you reached down, freeing him and rubbing the head of his cock against your wet core.
“Tell me what you want," he whispered, his voice a sultry invitation.
A breathy moan escaped your lips as you met his intense gaze. "I want you," you admitted, desire lacing every word.
Elijah's eyes darkened with a mixture of passion and possessiveness. Without breaking eye contact, he slowly entered you, and a simultaneous gasp of pleasure escaped both of you.
He set a pace of slow, deep strokes, the soft, wet sounds of your bodies colliding filling the room. His eyes were locked onto yours with such intensity that it made your heart skip. The love you shared being conveyed through the physical.
You both moved to a familiar rhythm, his fingers intertwined with yours, pressing them next to your head. The pleasure mounted with every movement, and the warmth from the sun beaming through the curtains covered you in a comforting embrace. He captured your lips again in a soft kiss, his tongue sweeping against yours, as he continued to fuck you at an agonizing pace. The combination of his kisses and the slow, steady thrusts were driving you wild.
“Elijah," you moaned as your climax began to build, the intensity of it threatening to overwhelm you.
Elijah lifted his head, a smug, satisfied grin spreading across his face. "You are so beautiful when you moan my name like that," he commented.
Elijah kissed you again, and then his lips grazed your neck, his teeth nipping and sucking gently on the sensitive skin. Your breaths came in short gasps as he pushed you closer and closer to the edge.
You let out a low moan, as his cock began to hit your sweet spot with every stroke, a wave of pleasure running through your body. He continued his movements, his hand finding its way between your bodies, and his thumb stroking your clit.
"Come for me, darling," he murmured, you could feel his warm breath against your neck.
Your head fell back and your eyes closed, as you focused on the feeling of his cock moving in and out of you. A tingling sensation ran through you, and the familiar warmth spread across your body, as you climaxed.
Elijah groaned as you clenched around him and he leaned back, tossing the blankets off of you and splaying his hands across your thighs and pushing them wider. He increased his pace, rolling his hips into you to maintain his deep strokes.
“I can't believe you are all mine," he said in amazement.
Your body trembled with the aftershocks, and you could already feel another orgasm building within you. Elijah continued to rock his hips, and you whimpered with pleasure. He pulled almost completely out, and then thrust back into you, hitting your sweet spot, and making you cry out.
The sensations were overwhelming and you were desperate to hold onto this moment for as long as possible.
“Elijah, please," you begged, not even knowing what for.
He leaned forward as his fingers tugged on your hair, tilting your head back and exposing your throat. His lips grazed your skin, then he began sucking hard enough to leave a mark. He moved to your mouth, capturing it in a rough, possessive kiss, his tongue tangling with yours.
The sensation sent shivers through your body, and you were so close to the edge that you felt your toes curling.
"I want you to come for me again," he whispered, his words sending a thrill of pleasure through your body.
"Oh, Elijah," you moaned.
“No pretty wife, that's not what I want you to call me," he said teasingly, slowing his pace down and grazing his fingers over your clit once more.
"Husband ," you moaned, feeling a rush of heat through your body as the word slipped from your lips.
"Good wife," he praised.
He continued to move his hips in a torturously slow rhythm, his cock sliding in and out of you with ease. His thumb pressed harder on your clit, rubbing circles, and you writhed, moaning as he brought you closer to your second orgasm.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him against you, needing him, craving him, wanting him more than anything in this moment. Your breaths were ragged as you kissed him, your body trembling as your eyes widened and your back arched as a second orgasm washed over you. You tightened around him and you felt his hips buckle, his thrusts becoming erratic.
He let out a deep moan, burying his face in your neck. Your hands ran through his hair and you pulled his head up, pressing your lips against his. You moaned into his mouth, and you felt his hips buck as he emptied himself into you, the sensation causing your hips to rise and meet his, the waves of pleasure consuming you both.
He collapsed beside you, breathing heavily, and pulling you close, as you both bathed in the warmth of the morning sun.
You rested your head on his chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat a comfort.
You felt Elijah's lips brush against your forehead and his fingers tilt your chin upward. His eyes were soft, a tenderness reflecting in their depths.
"I love you, my dear wife," he murmured.
You smiled, your lips meeting his. "And I love you, my dear husband."

an arranged marriage between you and namor? like ur a siren or a daughter of a sea god please.
A/N: YESSSSS also not proof read yet because 😭
Tumblr media
(Y/n) knew this day would come. She had prepared for it her entire life. The unfortunate burden of being the next to claim the thrown, arraigned marriage. Her father Poseidon decided his reign is over with this new generation dawning the old must fade. They were not the strongest nation in the sea. An older God has claimed that title, K'uk'ulkan, or as his enemies called him Namor. Today would be a monumental event. She would meet her future husband. Namora escorted Poseidon, Amphitrite, and her through Talokan. (Y/n) couldn't help but fall in love with the people. They welcomed her with open arms, gifts, and more kind gestures. Namora leads them to a throne room. The giant shark's mouth is displayed proudly, showing the power of the Imperius Rex. "K'uk'ulkan!" The Talokanil chant as their God descends to his throne. (Y/n) couldn't deny he had the body of a God plus a handsome face to match. He picked up his spear and slammed it down causing the crowd to go silent.
"Bejla'e' damos le bienvenida k yu'ulabo'ob yéetel futuros camaradas (Today we welcome our guests and future comrades)." Namor said. (Y/n) zoned in and out of his speech. Her father truly wanted their kingdoms to become one? Or did Namor have something else in mind.
Later he requested they have a meeting in private. In his caverns to display his artwork. (Y/n) emerged from the water. Namor soon after his wings flapping to dry off. She unlike most of her people appeared normal to surface dwellers. "You wanted a meeting alone with me, Namor?"
He sighed, "Please no need for that name. We are to be married K'uk'ulkan is fine."
"I shall call you Namor until I feel you have earned my trust, loyalty, and love. I am not happy about this so cut the shit. Why do want to marry me?"
"Perhaps your father asked me. A young brat who goes against all traditions. I am doing you a favor"
Her skin boils, "Asshole. Not like I have a say in this. We are to be married by the end of this week. But don't think I will obey you." She walked past Namor running into his shoulder. The God smirked turning around to see his future queen dive back into the water. He liked her spark already.
_One Year Later_
(Y/n) walked into the cavern K'uk'ulkan covering her eyes. "Is this really necessary my love?" She questioned.
"Yes, it is. I spent a long time on this one. I wanted it to be perfect." He removed his hands. (Y/n) eyes widen to see a depiction of herself on the wall. "The first queen of Talokan." He adds.
"K'uk'ulkan..." She whispered softly.
"You know last time I remember you calling me an asshole." He smirked pulling her close.
"Hmm~ You call me a brat."
He laughed, "Well that wasn't wrong. You still can be a brat~"
"Shut up!" She huffed.
"Make me, (Y/n)" He smirked. (Y/n) raised her eyebrow pushing him against the wall.
"Maybe I should." She pulled him into a deep kiss.

Happy Wednesday my love!!! Could I please have some New Kings this week?
7/10/24 WIP Wednesday (Closed) | New Kings AU
Neil’s happy to sit in the back at the arraignment, he’s been there all day stating that he’s there for a civics class. He watches as Drake’s public defender insists that his client is not a flight risk, that he has ties to the community, that his parents were pillars of the community.
He hides a giggle when Drake’s legs shake as his bail is set at $250,000.00.
Drake looks as terrible in orange as Neil always knew he would and it is a shame that he wouldn’t be able to wear it for long.

Forgotten?
Tumblr media
Summary: Despite all your research- one question weighs on your mind. You finally decide to do something about it.
Warning(s): Thoughts of a Existential/Religious nature, mainly dealing with the Egyptian Pantheon. Possibly ooc characters. One swear word.
Note(s): The reader can see/hear Khonshu- and I set this up for a part two. This is just a collection of musings I had while thinking about the Moon Knight universe. As of right now, all the knowledge I have of the characters/dynamics comes from the show and a few videos on YouTube.
Was it even possible for a god to get lonely?
You discovered yourself asking this question in your subconscious more and more frequently these days. The deeper you researched, the more texts you uncovered, the more you pestered Steven and Marc and Jake- the further the question burrowed itself into your mind’s eye.
After arriving back from Egypt, your friends wasted no time before telling you all about how amazing everything was. Well- Steven normally gushed about the architecture and overall history of everything, while Marc and Jake were simply happy that Steven was happy. You couldn't blame them, it was obvious they all collected some sort of trauma from their time there, one way or another.
You hadn't even tossed a thought in Khonshu's general direction for weeks, far too occupied with ensuring your friends enjoyed their downtime after such a hectic adventure. Layla and you eventually agreed to rotations while visiting the boys' flat, allowing everyone to spend time together separately. Your arraignments also gave Layla enough space to figure out her new position as an avatar, and some time for Marc, Steven, and Jake to get to know each other. It wasn't until your third week of hanging out with them that you noticed how quiet Khonshu was being.
You'd figured, at the very least, Khonshu would've interjected information throughout Steven's historical monologues. When nothing of the sort occurred, you internally reasoned with yourself that maybe Steven and Khonshu worked something out. So, you turned to Marc and Jake, tossing in questions here and there about what they thought about Egypt and its history. When you noticed Khonshu leave the area, your curiosity rose further. That again, however, much like before, could be simply explained by something you weren't privy to. Maybe he was called away for some deity responsibilities? Or he was interested in doing something else? Maybe he was simply bored?
But then it happened again. Then again, and again. And again.
At this point, Khonshu was leaving even when you simply turned something on the TV about Egypt. A history channel documentary for Steven? Gone. Music for Layla, or simply some background noise? Gone. A video to teach yourself about hieroglyphs? Gone. Discussing Ammit, or her old cult, with Marc or Jake? Gone. Asking Layla about Taweret and their relationship? Gone. Researching about the various Egyptian deities you now knew existed? He was gone significantly faster.
It took the last instance for the puzzle pieces to finally slot together in your mind. The click moment wasn't nearly as satisfying as you'd hoped.
Khonshu was a god. He still is a god. He was openly worshiped- culturally and personally- for nearly 3,000 years at the very least. He received countless prayers, offerings, songs, writings and more from his followers throughout time. Feasts and festivals, holidays and rituals, all in his name. He had hundreds and thousands of people talking to him, about him, with him. There were hieroglyphs and statues etched into stone, religious texts and prayers that survived the aging of time, massive temples created in his name. He used to be able to interact with the other deities as well, others who could connect to and understand his experiences. Now what did he get? Only five people in Europe who knew of his existence?
A desperately far cry from the droves of interactions he used to have.
You could bet that actually going to Egypt, witnessing the statues and pyramids and hieroglyphs, he was curtly reminded of what he no longer had. And fighting with the other gods- especially getting locked away by the Ennead- certainly didn't ease his pain. He was almost forgotten at this point. That would hurt anyone, but unlike you, Khonshu couldn't find a therapist or rant to a friend. Harrow confirmed your suspicions in the beginning- Khonshu went through his days unseen and unheard by almost everyone.
The key word being almost. You weren't completely certain on how to help, but you were determined to try. There was no way you were breaching that conversation with anyone, so you decided to just start small. You branched off from Steven's grocery shopping list one night to grab some nuts and dried fruit- along with some scented candles.
Your head swirled with clashing emotions as you made your way inside of the flat. You ran the risk of angering a deity, or someone finding out and accusing you of trying to gain some kind of favor. That conversation could lead to-
You gently shook your head in an attempt to derail that train of thought. They were all your friends, if anything it would simply be awkward for a few days until everything blew over. Layla swung open the front door moments later, card game in hand, and your worries were forgotten for the night.
The next day, you started out with simply lighting the candles to gauge Khonshu's reactions. You weren't certain what exactly his "tell" would be, but you knew you'd know when he liked something. But, after weeks of swapping through various scents- even going back to the store to get some more- you swore you had to have missed it.
You progressed further, adding some dried fruit or nuts in a small bowl by the candle. Still, nothing. Khonshu still seemed to be silently sulking, but you pressed on. You tried saying the phrase, "This is for you, Khonshu.", either in your head or as a whisper. You tried food without the candle. You read about him and the other deities and further studied the hieroglyphs. You baked bread, went star gazing, thanked him whenever the boys made it home safely, and eventually started praying to him. Hell, you even asked him to play a card game with you at one point. Nothing seemed to help as drastically as you assumed.
But you did notice that Khonshu was beginning to seem somehow nicer, gentler even, if you dared to say it. He slowly began to become more involved in game nights, joking alongside Taweret. He'd point out constellations on clear nights, and you swore you caught him sneaking bread with Marc. The boys even noticed the change in his demeanor, Steven mentioning his lack of "worm" comments recently.
In turn, you discovered yourself actually enjoying the activities you tried out. Your friends actually began participating too. Steven and Layla would spend hours teaching you about Egypt, Marc would sneak into the kitchen to eat your baked goods, and Jake would lie awake with you to watch the stars. Although you didn't tell anyone why you started these hobbies in the first place, they somehow stuck in your everyday life.
You didn't realize how much it truly mattered, until you noticed someone following you home one night.

I have a little story thing! My first time so please be gentle and nice
This is a part 1 to a story I'll try to continue!
● synopsis. You are an innocent girl from a powerful family with parents that have arranged a marriage for you to a mysterious cult leader named Douma.
Rainbow colored eyes, Nervous eyes.
Marriage. What a weird thing. Obove all, your parents who were well known very powerful people in the area arraigned a marriage for you to a cult leader named Douma who you have never even met. They thought this marriage would gain them more fame, money whatever insane adults care about.
The day finally came. You met him. This stranger was very well known to be an extreme womanizer. That's really all you knew about this strange man. But what made you so nervous was how innocent you were. A nervous virgin to be straight to the point. Young, soft and so delicate. So sheltered. So weak.
After the wedding with so many of his followers giving him praises, the sounds of music slowly leaving, people leaving it was time. You're so nervous but you know what you'll have to do to please him. Your parents definitely drilled it into your head "please, make him happy"
After everything had settled down, he gives you this look. Almost hungry, as If he could eat you while also looking so charming and kind. He grabs your hand.
"I know this must be so confusing to you, it definitely is to me. I didn't ask for this to happen either, I've spent my whole life trying to do whatever my parents bid me to do." He gently cups your face.
"I promise to try to make you the most happiest bride, you will want for nothing, understand me?" You couldn't even look him in his beautiful pastel colored eyes. You were a nervous girl to begin with but him? Just his calming voice, eyes made it feel like your heart could come out of your throat anytime.
He softly grabs your hand and leads you both to your wedding night room. It's dark but there's candles. You smell the scent of floral. There's beautiful lotus decorations. It almost looks unreal to you.
"Do you like what I've done here? I did this all for you my sweet rosebud. Nothing but the best for you" he said this in this warm almost childlike tone with such enthusiasm.
He sat himself on the end of the bed, placing his hand right beside in a empty space. Gesturing you to sit beside him. You did as you were asked, slowly approaching him. You comfortably sit down beside him.
His eyes meet yours. Those beautiful fucking eyes that hold so much mystery in them.
He scoots a little closer to you, inhaling your sweet swent. He buries his face into your neck, giving it deep kisses and soft ones too. Trailing them back to your face. God you're so nervous. Worried how you'll please this man although knowing nothing about sex, or even how to please a man but you remember this from your parents, the heavy selfish words of your parents. Using their only daughter as some pawn.
"Please, make this man happy, give him whatever he wants just keep him happy and please. This is for the good of the family!"
You honestly didn't want to. You didn't want your first time being with a man you hardly knew. Even if he looks like he was carved from Gods
But you knew you had to.
"Are you okay, my love? You seem so tense"
You shook your head nervously.
He continued kissing you. Every part of your face was being met by his lips.
"Is it okay If...I undo this?
It was the strap to your kimono, you nervously said under your breath "y-yes"
He slowly pulled it of, making the dress loose around your shoulders but not exposing your breast. He continued feasting his lips up against your neck, his breath hot and heavy. He lowered a bit with his hands on your shoulders, laying even deeper kisses on your chest. He could feel your body vibrating with fear. With shyness.
He plants one more kiss on your neck, and another on your mouth. He softly pressed his forehead against yours.
"I'm so sorry my love but I just can't. I know you're nervous as you have every right to be! It's not that I don't want to, I could believe me. I'd love nothing more than to rip that dress off you and show you things, teach you things. But tonight is just not the night for that. Okay?
The relief you felt was immense. You deep down wanted to but you wanted to build more of a connection to him. Or try your best to. Learn more about this charismatic man.
He embraces you in a soft hug, his fingers twirling with a piece of hair laying down at the side of your face
"My love, we have all the time in the world to explore these things" he helps you pull up your dress from your chest so you're not as covered. Plants one more kiss on you and pulls you into bed with him the night, gently stroking your hair until the both of you are asleep so gently.
You thought to yourself as you tried to sleep.
"Maybe..he's not as bad as I thought. Maybe I can learn to love this man. To actually know him"

Author’s Note: Janus uses He/Him pronouns, but I love calling him the mom, so he will be referred to as “mother” and “mom” in this story <3 Also oh wow this turned out much longer than I thought it would. How many times can I edit this post bc I forgot something? Lmao, currently sitting at four times.
Virgil leaned against the cold stone wall, looking out over the palace gardens. He hadn’t been here in many years. The last time he’d set foot inside of the Sunstrom palace walls, he was just a kid.
That was before the war broke out. If you could even call it a war. It was more like a massacre. The king had sent his best men into the city with one purpose: Killing vampires.
His people were scarce, but ever so slowly, they were starting to rebuild.
The vampire court had always been different from other royal settings. From their earliest days, vampires had hidden deep within the kingdom. You’d probably talk to one every day, unknowing, before the massacre. They were regular people. Running shops, guarding posts. There were even a few on the royal council. They were normal citizens just like everyone else. They just lived under two kingdoms. The Sunstrom kingdom, and the Caedis kingdom.
Two kingdoms meant two sets of law.
Caedis law didn’t interfere with Sunstrom law. King Janus had made sure of that. He wanted to coexist peacefully with humans. In fact, most of the laws were put in place to protect humans. For a while, the royal family was happy with this arraignment.
Until one of the princes was turned.
No one knew the whole story. Not even Virgil knew- which was an impressive example of covering something up, because Virgil heard all of the kingdom’s drama from Janus.
The version of the story Virgil had heard was that Prince Remus had been courting one of Janus’ advisors. One thing had led to another, and Remus had asked the advisor to turn him. After a long conversation about what that might entail, the advisor obliged, and Remus’ father was not pleased. He’d outlawed any known vampires, and urged humans to out any in hiding.
That was about four years ago.
And now, Virgil was standing in front of the palace garden, preparing to fix what the king had done to their kingdom.
He was sent to kill the king, as well as the remaining prince. This would leave the throne to Remus, and from there, vampires would be re-welcomed into the kingdom.
As he scanned the rose garden for his target, he heard what sounded like flapping behind him. He whipped around, but nothing was there. He heard it again, and his eyes snapped up to the vine-ridden balcony he didn’t know was behind him. Leaning on the railing was none other than Prince Roman.
He wore the most beautiful silk gown Virgil had ever seen. It hugged him around the waist and hips, and it had puffy sleeves that ended around the prince’s biceps. Virgil thought he might die if he had to get blood on it. A perfect little tiara sat nestled into his bushy chestnut hair.
In his gloved hands, he held an ivory fan webbed with a fiery red silk. It was embroidered with intricate golden accents, though Virgil couldn’t make out what they were from this distance.
The prince smirked when Virgil caught his gaze. He started twirling the fan in his left hand. It had been a while since Virgil had attended any sort of ball or meeting in the vampire court, but he thought he could remember fan language well enough. He was pretty sure twirling the fan in your left hand meant ‘we are watched.’.
He looked around, and sure enough, two guards were perched behind the hedges. How had he not noticed them?
“You two are dismissed,” Roman’s voice called softly over the balcony. Virgil would do anything to hear that gorgeous voice again.
The two guards shared an apprehensive look, before walking past Virgil and disappearing inside.
Roman looked down at Virgil once more. He just smiled, holding his fan in front of his face with his right hand as he turned around, and walked back inside. Virgil knew that meant ‘follow me’, so he did, if for nothing else but to satiate his own curiosity. He grabbed a few thick bunches of vines that hung from the balcony, and climbed up. He had to use a bit of extra vampire strength to get himself there, but he made it in the end.
When he reached the top, the prince was waiting for him inside by the door. His fan had been discarded to a small table with two chairs.
Without the distance, or the fan, Virgil could now clearly see the man’s features. The corners of his delicate lips were pulled upwards in a soft smile. His jade eyes were kind and inviting. The skin around them crinkled just slightly, and Virgil couldn’t keep his gaze away.
What was he doing? He couldn’t sit here, thinking about how pretty the prince was. He was supposed to kill him! He didn’t think he had it in him anymore.
“Well? Are you going to come in? Or would you prefer to continue gawking at me in the cold?” Roman teased. His voice was deep and rich. Silky smooth on Virgil’s ears. What else could he do but walk inside?
As soon as he set foot in the door, Roman’s smile seemed to widen.
“There we go,” he said softly. “It’s much warmer inside, isn’t it?”
Virgil nodded dumbly. He could feel a fog seeping into his head. It wasn’t a bad feeling. It was quite gentle and warm. And very, very distracting.
“I’ve got tea!” Roman nearly skipped over to the kitchenette on the other side of the room, and grabbed a shiny tray with two teacups, and a white teapot. He set it on the little circular table, and pulled out a chair. “Come, sit! I’m dying to hear you talk, you know.”
Virgil sat down, trying not to look as eager as he felt. “Thank you,” He said softly.
“Of course,” Roman said, taking a seat. “Your voice is lovely, darling.”
Virgil blinked in surprise for a moment. “I- uh- thank you,” he stammered. “Yours is too,” he added meekly. He felt heat crawl up his neck at how shaky his own words sounded.
“Thank you. My name is Roman.”
“Virgil,” he replied.
Roman nodded, and poured tea into both of their cups. He passed one to Virgil before taking a sip from the remaining cup. Virgil raised his own cup to his lips, but paused before it made contact. “It isn’t poisoned. You watched me pour it, and I’ve just taken a drink.”
“There could be poison on the inside of my cup,” Virgil countered. “You could have treated it before I came inside.”
Roman looked purely startled.
“I didn’t think of that,” he admitted. “Well, it might do me some good to have you present during my next meeting.” The prince huffed out a small laugh. “You think of everything, don’t you?” He slid his own teacup in Virgil's direction. “You can have mine, then.” He plucked the teacup out of Virgil’s hands, and took a sip. “There’s no garlic, silver, or crucifixes in it, either,” he said with a teasing glint in his eyes.
Virgil’s eyes widened. He had a disguise. Janus had even changed his eye color, and hid his fangs with magic. How did he know?
“Don’t worry! I’m not going to call the guards!” Roman reassured quickly. “I just want to get to know you. That’s all, darling.”
“How did you know?” Virgil asked, curling in on himself just slightly.
“You were always latched onto your king’s leg when he came to visit. When we were children,” Roman said with a chuckle.
“My mother,” Virgil clarified. Roman’s eyes went wide, but he smiled.
“A fellow prince!” He beamed. “It took me a moment to realize who you were, but when I did, I knew I was right.”
“That was years ago. How did you remember that?” Virgil asked, disbelief clear in his tone. “We never even spoke.”
Roman shrugged. “Good memory, I guess. I mean, you clearly remembered my face.”
“You’re the prince. Of course I remembered your face,” Virgil said, maybe with a little more bite than intended.
“You’re a prince, too,” Roman countered with a smug smile.
“Not a well known one. Other than your family, and other vampires, I’m not sure many people knew Caedis even had a prince, back then.” Virgil took a wary sip of his tea. Sweetness exploded over his tongue. He’d never tasted anything like it. It was full-bodied and sweet, but also had a little spice.
“Whatever,” Roman brushed off. Virgil found he didn’t mind all that much. “So, tell me,” the prince rested his chin on the heel of his hand, leaning forward to look at Virgil, “What is a dashing vampire like yourself doing here this late at night.”
Virgil’s heart sank, and it must have shown on his face, because Roman’s browline pinched in worry.
“I’m sorry, darling. I didn’t mean to-”
“I was sent to kill you,” Virgil blurted, before slapping a hand over his mouth. “And your father.”
“O-oh,” Roman said, taken aback.
“I don’t think I want to, though,” Virgil mumbled, peering down into his tea. He watched the liquid ripple with his words, and he tried to let it calm him.
If Roman was uncomfortable around Virgil after that confession, he certainly didn’t show it.
“May I ask why?”
“Why I don’t want to kill you? Or why I was supposed to?” Virgil asked, a soft, slightly bitter laugh escaping his lips. He was afraid he’d already ruined this. Roman was kind, and interesting. Why did he have to say that?
“Why not both?” Roman asked, a playful smile on his face.
“Well… You’re intriguing, Princey,” Virgil said honestly.
“Oh? How so?”
“It’s just… I don’t know. You just… You’ve got a story.”
“Everyone does.”
“But I want to know yours,” Virgil said, absentmindedly. “You’re nothing like I thought you’d be.”
Roman looked gobsmacked for a second. Stunned, even. His eyes looked almost pleading, but no request left his lips.
“What did you expect?” He asked, his voice going quiet. Almost airy, even.
“I don’t know… Hostility? Arrogance? You’re a prince,” Virgil scoffed.
Roman guffawed. “You’re a prince, too!”
“I wasn’t raised as one,” Virgil said, swishing around the tea in his cup. He still hadn’t decided if it was safe to drink, or not.
Roman raised an eyebrow at him. “You weren’t?”
“Nope. I didn’t get all of the stuffy crap the rest of you royals get.”
“Then… How were you raised?” Roman asked. Virgil thought his voice had softened, but he must be imagining it.
“I don’t remember a lot of it. I was pretty sick growing up. Janus found me. I was almost dead by the time he did.” He could see Roman connecting the dots in his head, before the tiniest gasp escaped the prince’s lips.
“So he turned you to save your life, and raised you as his own,” he said, incredulous.
“Yep. Even then, he just… raised me like a normal kid. I wasn’t made out to be a prince until the massacre.”
Virgil hadn’t meant to call it a massacre in front of Roman, but he couldn’t say he regretted it. He couldn’t say he was wrong, either.
The prince opened his mouth to speak, but closed it, looking down at his gloves. He tried again, but Virgil spoke before Roman got a chance to.
“I was sent to kill you- and your father- so we could put your brother on the throne,” he murmured. “We were hoping to bring vampires back into the kingdom.”
The prince seemed to regain his composure, because he now wore a sympathetic expression.
“What happened to your people wasn’t fair.”
Virgil knew he wasn’t being sincere. He couldn’t be. “You don’t have to lie to me, Princey,” he sneered. “I already told you I’m not going to kill you.”
He thought he might be imagining the offended look on Roman’s face.
“I’m not!” He spat. “I don’t agree with what my father did. I tried to stop him! He wouldn’t listen.”
Virgil shook his head. This was cruel. Maybe Roman didn’t even like him. Maybe this was all just some sick mind game. Maybe the guards were on their way right now. Maybe-
“Do you know why Remus asked to be turned?” Roman said, his voice now gentle and quiet. He didn’t look at Virgil anymore. No, he just peered into the depths of his teacup.
Virgil shook his head.
“No one does.”
“I do,” Roman murmured. “He could see the strain between our kingdoms. We both could. He thought that if he was turned… Maybe our dad would be more lenient with your kind.”
“He was already courting an advisor in my father’s court. Why did he have to become a vampire himself?” Virgil asked, in honest curiosity.
“Logan was just an advisor. That wouldn’t be enough to stop a war from breaking out. If anything, that would just protect Logan, not the rest of you.” Roman shook his head. “We thought that if one of us turned, our dad would see vampires as regular people, just like us. I guess we didn’t really think that through, though…”
Virgil was shocked by the sincerity in his voice. He hadn’t expected much from any of the Sunstrom royal family. Remus was different. He’d left the kingdom. That had to be for a reason, right?
“Thank you for trying,” Virgil said softly.
“I was hoping we could try again?” Roman asked, a hopeful glint in his eye. “That’s not the only reason I wanted to talk to you,” he added swiftly. “But, if you’re the vampire prince… Well, that means we might be able to fix things between our kingdoms.”
Virgil thought for a moment. Was Roman implying what Virgil thought he was? He could admit, he thought Roman was kind, and he wanted to get to know him more, but he had just met the man.
“I’m not saying we get married!” Roman reassured, as if reading his mind. “But… maybe we could convince our fathers to negotiate, instead of…”
“Killing each other?” Virgil offered with a grim laugh.
“Yeah.”
“Okay. Yeah, let’s… let’s try that. It’s not like it could get much worse.”
“That just means there’s nothing left to lose,” Roman said with a smile. It looked a little strained, but Virgil didn’t comment on it. “Now, where were we, darling?”
Was he really okay with jumping back into casual conversation? Or did he just want to change the subject? Virgil wasn’t sure, but he was grateful either way. He didn’t particularly want to talk about his kingdom’s downfall, nor did he want to think about the fact that one day, he would be responsible for his rapidly dwindling subjects.
He took another sip of tea, and smiled slightly. “I like this tea,” he said to fill the silence.
“I’m glad,” Roman said with a smile. “Have you had it before?” He picked up the teapot and refilled Virgil’s cup. For the first time, Virgil realized the painting on the side. It was some variety of frog Virgil had never seen, with a little crown on its head, painted in incredible detail. It made Virgil smile.
“Not to my knowledge,” He said with a soft laugh. “I like your frog.”
“Oh! Thank you! I painted it,” Roman bragged, glowing with pride. “Would you like to see some of my other paintings?”
“Sure,” Virgil smiled.
Roman jumped up. “Wait right here! I’ll be back in no time at all!” He rushed off behind a curtain somewhere, bouncing excitedly with every step. Virgil briefly wondered if anyone else had ever asked to see his art. Or if anyone else ever had the privilege.
He wouldn’t admit it, but he loved art. Janus had bought him a few paintings to decorate his room with when he was younger, and from then, he was amazed. He didn’t understand how some people could create such beautiful pictures by smearing paint on a piece of fabric. He thought it must have been some sort of magic.
Roman came back into the room holding several different pieces of canvas, each a different size. He moved the teapot and the tray, but left their cups. He laid out the different sheets of fabric, and Virgil smiled when he saw several different types of frog sitting before him. There were other animals too. A couple of foxes, a family of deer, even a bat or two. But the frogs definitely outnumbered any other species.
“You really like frogs, huh?” He teased.
Roman looked at him with a very serious expression. “I love frogs.”
Virgil couldn’t help the bright laughter that bubbled up in his chest. “We have a lot of frogs at home.”
Roman gave the most excited gasp Virgil had ever heard. “You guys have frogs?!”
“Yep. I hear them right outside my window at night.”
“Oh my stars. I need one,” Roman said, hands flying to his cheeks.
“You need a frog?” Virgil asked with a soft chuckle.
“Yes, I need a frog, Virgil!” Roman spat. “Will you bring me a frog?”
Virgil sat in disbelief for a solid few seconds.
“You heard me.”
He burst out laughing. “I will… see what I can do.” He loved the hopeful smile that took up residence on Roman’s face. “But you’ve got to learn how to take care of it.”
“I will find every book about frogs in the kingdom, if you bring me a frog,” Roman said, looking directly into Virgil’s eyes. “I mean it.”
“Then… I’ll see if I can’t bring you a frog,” Virgil giggled. He took another sip of his tea, and looked back at the menagerie of paintings before him. “These are really good, Princey,” He said sincerely.
“You think so?” Roman asked, eyes wide. He had a look of pure disbelief on his face.
“Yeah! Why do you look so surprised?”
“Well…” The prince rubbed the back of his neck. “No one has told me they like my art before. I mean, Remus has. But he’s my brother. He kinda has to.”
“Well, I think these are really cool,” Virgil said, looking over the assortment again. His eyes landed on a smaller painting, not much larger than his teacup. It showed a little frog sitting in the grass. On top of its head was a purple flower missing its stem. It looked like a little hat. “I like this one a lot.”
Roman smiled, pushing the cloth closer to Virgil. “Take it.”
Virgil was taken aback. “You’re sure?” He asked softly. Roman nodded, and Virgil tucked the little painting into his coat. “Thank you.”
“Of course!”
Virgil kept looking over the paintings, marveling in their detail as he let himself relax. But, as always, there was the little pang of doubt deep in his stomach, telling him something was wrong.
“Why aren’t you mad at me? I literally told you I was supposed to murder you,” He blurted, incredulous.
“People try to kill me all the time, darling,” Roman said quietly, something melodic to his voice. “But you know what doesn’t happen all that often?”
Virgil gave the softest shake of his head, enamored by the sudden shift in Roman’s tone.
“People don’t try to talk to me,” Roman said sadly. “I’m not a person to them. I’m a pretty face. A stepping stone on their way to potential power!... They don’t try to understand me. They don’t even try to know me. You did.”
Virgil flushed at the pure passion radiating from Roman’s words. From his eyes, and his expression. Every part of this man is bursting with emotion so strong, Virgil might be able to feel it himself.
Roman placed a warm hand on his, and he could feel hundreds of little purple butterflies flapping their wings against the walls of his stomach. They only got stronger, as Roman leaned in close, nose just centimeters away. His deep, green eyes peered into Virgil’s lavender ones.
“You did, Virgil. So I think our time together is more than worth a death threat or two. Don’t you?”
Virgil couldn’t help the wide smile that broke out over his face. He couldn’t stop his gaze from softening if he tried. He couldn’t resist placing his free hand over Roman’s, and brushing it with his thumb gently.
“I do,” He said, voice no higher than a whisper. He knew Roman could hear it. He didn’t need more than a whisper. This moment was theirs, and no one else’s.
Roman’s hand landed on his fan once more. He held it upside down, not bothering to open it. He brought it to his lips, pressing the handle into them softly. He smiled underneath it.
Virgil knew what that meant. He pressed his lips to Roman’s, not having to be told twice.
The kiss was soft, chaste, and just filled with emotion. It was everything Virgil never knew he’d wanted. Roman’s lips tasted just like the tea they were drinking, and Virgil wondered if he could bring some home, just to have a bit of this moment with him while he was away.
If he couldn’t kill Roman before, he definitely couldn’t now. He didn’t know what he’d do if he never got to kiss this man again. He’d surely lose his mind.
As if furthering his point, Roman cupped Virgil’s cheek and deepened the kiss, raking his other hand through Virgil’s inky hair.
When the two separated, Virgil mourned the end for a moment, before Roman’s nose pressed against his own. The two just stared at each other in wonder, forehead to forehead.
“You’re beautiful,” Roman whispered, pressing a soft kiss to the tip of Virgil’s nose. He flushed, letting a smile tear across his face.
“You are, too,” Virgil murmured. He let his hands wander up to Roman’s cheeks as he closed his eyes and basked in the contact for a few long minutes.
He melted as Roman hummed a soft tune. The sound caressed his ears, and he could already see himself in his room longing to hear it again. When had he become so sappy? Maybe that was just a side effect of being around the world’s most dramatic prince.
As much as he wished he could stay here for hours, he knew he was running out of time. Reluctantly, he pulled away.
“As lovely as this is, I should go. I’m expected home by sunrise,” Virgil whispered sadly. “But, I want to see you again,” he said desperately and quickly. The words poured out of him before he even registered them in his mind. “I want to do this again,” he motioned between the two of them. “I-I want to talk again. I just want to be with you.”
“You will,” Roman proclaimed, determination strong in his voice. “You will. We will. I’ll make sure of it.” He rushed over to his wardrobe, retrieving a pitch black fan with purple webbing and silver accents. He placed it ever so gently in Virgil’s hands. “Take this. If all goes well, you’ll need it.” Roman winked. “The guards shouldn’t give you much trouble, if they see you have it. They know I don’t just give those out to anyone.”
Virgil flushed and looked down at the fan, admiring it briefly before looking back up at Roman.
“Send me a letter as soon as you get home safely. Find Remy. He’ll get it to me safely.”
Virgil’s surprise must have shown on his face, because Roman gave a smug little laugh.
“What? I had to keep in touch with my brother somehow after he left.” His smile turned sad. “Take care of him, will you? Tell him I miss him.”
“I will.”
Roman looked at him for a moment, an odd look on his face. Then, he slowly wrapped his arms around Virgil in a gentle, yet tight hug. He pulled back, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead.
“I’ll talk to you soon,” Virgil murmured as he pulled away.
“I look forward to your letters, my love,” Roman said with a dramatic flourish. Virgil giggled.
And then, he was off.

How did Breakdown and Knock Out meet in the au if they lived such different lives before?
As mentioned in his bio, Knockout once belonged to a noble house with familial ties with the Seekers, having had a privileged, but undoubtably suffocating upbringing.
Knockout always was an odd one compared to his more elegant peers, always being a bit too fascinated in wielding with far too big weapons rather than training in the finer arts— and even more ‘disturbing’ , aspiring to one day practice the morbid but delicate skill of piece back together gorey flesh and bone.
See, for the course his life was SUPPOSED to take in the sense of a more normal high caste socialite—his fixation to partake in violence and stitch participants back together left him a bit estranged from any possibly marriage prospects, oh but if only he were to just apply himself and use that surplus of energy to impress an acceptable suitor….haha his family didn’t get such wishes granted at least in the way they had HOPED.
His most rebellious methods of unwinding were venturing out of his House’s estate and into rowdy taverns, as well as even rowdier betting games on Brawlers!
Breakdown fell first, but Knockout fell harder upon seeing the Brawler go at it in the matches—but nothing compared to the entertainment that came with finding out that this beast of a mech’s sole weaknesses seemed to be sweet polish, and pretty smiles laced with pure snark. Breakdown always was and will continue to be a great big blushing FOOL for his beloved archer.
With no nobility in his bloodline or patrons to his name, Breakdown’s methods of survival had been reliant on sticking with his old merc band, The Stunticons. While he has never been one to shy away from a challenge, Breakdown originally chose to gamble his luck still inside Autobot Lands through depending on his knack for violence through brawl winnings rather than joining his band to venture out into the Neutral Land, all hopes of joining up with the Deceptions.
Breakdown originally had nothing to wager nor no one he cared to protect but himself before the chance to leave was too late.
If only Breakdown had known that soon enough in his future he’d find that sense of urgency to risk the unknown in a devastatingly gorgeous and defiant noble—then he would have without a doubt taken the offer of safety in numbers crossing the border with his Stunticons.
Knockout and Breakdown were forced to make the break for the border alone, eloping, and making the unpredictable journey out of familiar Autobot Lands! The two left everything behind and looked only forward to the life they were determined to build with each other.
Knockout and Breakdown eventually found refuge within the rest of the Decepticons for quite a long time before a happy accident blessed their lives. They would have most definitely would have preferred to hold off on growing their family until Lord Megatron, who promised to retrieve the Allspark and save their people and, returned victorious—but lol Wildbreak waits for NO ONE. NOT A CHANCE 😤💪✨
Knockout and Breakdown are now on the move, again, to secure a better future—this time with more on the line than just seeing each other safe. Wybie is just old enough to travel safely now—so the couple are off to meet old allies of Knockout’s, some childhood Seeker friends who have merged with the Dinobots in the Isles!
Despite the lives the could have chosen—With Knockout appeasing his House marrying into some other uppity arraignment, or with Breakdown, fighting with nothing but the motive to enjoy the fast and hard lifestyle until the day his muscles gave out—they wouldn’t change a single second of the struggles they’ve overcome for the wild life they led together!

Can you please tell me some wholesome facts about the revolutionaries? 😊
In his notes on Robespierre (written somewhere right after thermidor) Fréron claims that, at least while at college, ”one cannot remember to have seen him laugh once.” But then later he writes that ”the witty naiveties of Camille Desmoulins made Robespierre laugh until he cried.”
On January 23 1793, Lucile Desmoulins writes in her diary about witnessing the funeral procession of Louis-Michel le Peletier, a deputy murdered on the 20th after having voted for death during the king’s trial. She was very touched by what she saw and couldn’t stop her tears for a while. After all her guests have left that evening she can’t stand to be alone with her thoughts, so ”I ran to D(anton’s). He was moved to see me still pale and defeated. We drank tea, I supped there.”
In his memoirs, Barras reports the following about Augustin Robespierre:
[Napoleon] informed me that a woman of the lower classes, who had been assisted by Robespierre the Younger, had been arraigned before the Revolutionary Tribunal and sentenced to death during his absence from Paris, and that on his return he had expressed disapproval of the sentence, sent for the twelve-year-old son of that woman, clothed him, and admitted him to his table; the boy feeling sad, Ricord commanded him to drink to the health of the Republic, but the lad refused; thereupon Robespierre the Younger, addressing Ricord, said to him: ”Respect such a character. You would not do as much under similar circumstances."
On October 20 Couthon wrote a very clingy letter to Saint-Just while away on a mission to Lyon — ”You haven't written me a line, my friend, since we parted; I blame you for it, because you promised me that in any case of absence, you would give me your news. […] You know, my dear friend, that I need, to console myself for the evils that overwhelm me, testimonies of interest from those I esteem; tell me then that you exist, that you are well, that you have not forgotten me, and I will be happy.”
Le Bas also wrote quite warmly about SJ in a letter to his wife dated November 28 1793:
We went this morning, Saint-Just and I, to visit one of the highest mountains at the top of which is an old fort in ruins, placed on an immense rock. We both felt, looking around, a delicious feeling. This is the first day that we have had a break. […] Saint-Just is almost as eager as I to see Paris again. I promised him dinner from your hand. I’m glad you don’t hold it against him; he is an excellent man; I love and esteem him more and more by every passing day. The Republic has no more ardent, more intelligent defender. The most perfect agreement, the most constant harmony reigned among us. What makes him even dearer to me is that he often talks to me about you and consoles me as much as he can. He sets a high value, it seems to me, on our friendship, and he says things to me from time to time with a very good heart.
Élisabeth Le Bas confirms her husband’s feelings for Saint-Just in her memoirs, when describing the relationship between the three while on a mission together:
Saint-Just had the most delicate attentions for me en route and the considerations of a tender brother. At each relay station, he descended from the coach to see if anything was missing, for fear of an accident. He saw me suffering so much that he feared for me. He was, at last, so good and so attentive to my sister-in-law and me that the trip did not seem long to us. My beloved was very sensitive to all his kindnesses and gave him all his recognition. To pass the time, these messieurs would read us Molière plays or some passages from Rabelais, and sang Italian airs; they made every effort to distract us and make me forget my suffering.
When Camille on December 11 1790 was finally given permission by Lucile’s parents to marry their daughter, he described his reaction the following way: ”When her mother told me a moment ago, she brought me to her room; I threw myself on Lucile’s lap; surprised at hearing her laugh I open my eyes, hers were in no better state than mine, she was all in tears, she was even crying profusely and yet she was still laughing. I have never seen such a delightful spectacle, and I would not have imagined that nature and sensibility could unite these two contrasts to such an extent.”
In February 1793 Camille and Lucile went on a short trip to Essonne, where they lived alone in an old castle and amused themselves with going for walks, riding donkeys, fishing and boating. In a letter to her mother Lucile reports: ”You would laugh if you saw C(amille) as a boatman, rowing as hard as he can and at any moment flanking the boat against the first point of land that it meets. What a pity that it isn’t summer! […] Write to me as soon as possible to let is know the day you have chosen for us to pick you up at Essonne in a cabriolet and me on my donkey.”
On August 9 1793, Madame Roland was joined in prison by Pétion’s wife Anne Madeleine Françoise and ten year old son Louis Étienne Jérôme. Judging by what she wrote in her memoirs and letters (1, 2, 3), it would appear like she took them both under her wing:
I suffered for my poor companion beyond words. It was I who undertook the sad task of preparing her for the blow she hardly expected, and of announcing it to her (Most likely a reference to the death of Anne’s mother, executed in Paris on September 24 1793). I was sure to bring to it the alleviations that another would perhaps have found with difficulty, because it is only my position that could make me share her pain so well. This circumstance caused her to be sent to me; we eat together, and she likes to spend most of the days near me; I work much less, but I am useful, and this feeling makes me taste a kind of charm that the tyrants do not know. […] I receive Lady B's letters with gratitude. I do not know them, I intend to make them useful for two people, I will have little P(étion) read them; I had only Thompson which he could not yet understand.
Éléonore Duplay also appears to have been a huge support to her little sister Élisabeth and two month old nephew Philippe while the three sat in prison together after thermidor. In her memoirs, Élisabeth writes — ”Oh! I will not in a lifetime forget you! For without you I would have succumbed; but, with your courage, you revived my strength and made me see that I had a great task to fulfill, that I had a son, that I needed to live for him. […] No, good dear sister Éléonore, I will not forget your devotion to me and your poor little nephew in a lifetime; my recognition will be eternal!”
Lucile Desmoulins and Hébert’s wife Marie Marguerite Françoise they too seem to have been rather inseparable both while in prison together and on their way to the scaffold.
After the death of Phillippeaux and Desmoulins, the former’s wife Marguerite became friends with the latter’s mother-in-law Annette. The two processed their grief together and also let their children, Auguste Phillippeaux (1787) and Horace Desmoulins (1792) get to know and play with each other. Five letters from Marguerite to Annette have been published, and they really are quite wholesome.
Other posts I’ve already made that contain wholesome stuff:
