Well, I can see where this is going and….And what? And…give it to me. I won’t waste it. I think you could use me. I think we have an energy, you and me.

jack always waits at the school gates until david finishes his lessons for the day (and gushes about whatever silly happened to him while selling papes (and dave loves it since school isn't very fun))

whenever i see the scene of lestat, louis, and claudia dancing and being happy with each other i literally want to throw up blood and bile lestat style onto the floor until i melt into a puddle. like what the fuck. there was that bubble of happiness when the three of them were like, oh, i found it. the thing i’ve been missing my whole life. family. louis already had that of course but in this one he truly belonged. he was truly loved (at least for a moment, one could argue.) and even though it was doomed from the start and inherently flawed and was bound to fall apart for a brief snatch of years it worked. it worked, and louis wanted it back so badly even though claudia and lestat could never find their way back to each other like that.
also seeing the parallels between lestat and claudia and motherhood make me want to rip a pvc pipe out of the wall and chew on it like, lestat being like “i am your maker” above all else. no matter what claudia wants to see him as lestat will always see himself as the person, the being, the reason who made claudia’s existence as a vampire. and she doesn’t want it anymore. and lestat knows this, but he still holds it above her head. louis doesn’t want it anymore, but he’s able to accept it when he has his family. but he doesn’t anymore. and he never will again.
