JNS reports:
Israel’s Cabinet voted on Sunday to establish a new community along the border with the Gaza Strip. The future town, to be named Hanun, will be located in the Sdot Negev Region and eventually be inhabited by some 500 families. “The establishment of the community is further evidence of the resilience of the [citizens living in the] ‘Gaza envelope’ and the power of the State of Israel. We’re proud to build up the Land of Israel and we’re proud to strengthen settlement in all parts of our land,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Hamas calls Israel building a community within the Green Line a "dangerous escalation"  - and threatened it:
The Hamas movement confirmed that the continuation of the Zionist occupation government with its aggressive settlement policies in our land, the latest of which was its announcement today, Sunday, of building a settlement near the Gaza Strip, constitutes a dangerous escalation that will not bring the settlers security or stability, and will not grant the occupation legitimacy or sovereignty over our land. In a press statement, today, Sunday, Hamas stressed that the occupation government is solely responsible for its disregard for settling settlers near the Gaza Strip, and for putting them in danger, and it bears full responsibility for its settlement escalation throughout the occupied West Bank. The movement called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in curbing those racist occupation policies that threaten peace and security in the region.
The English announcement stressed "colonialism" while the Arabic one (above) directly threatened the community.
Just more proof that it isn't the "occupation" that Palestinians are upset at - it is Israel's existence.
And this is a story that Western media still barely reports.

The Danger of Distraction from Duty
1 Now after this Nahash the king of the Ammonites died, and his son reigned in his place. 2 And David said, “I will deal kindly with Hanun the son of Nahash, for his father dealt kindly with me.” So David sent messengers to console him concerning his father. And David’s servants came to the land of the Ammonites to Hanun to console him. 3 But the princes of the Ammonites said to Hanun, “Do you…

just found out about order no. 40 from the nakba. i think its a key information in understanding the attack of october 7th and the whole war.
so here the official document.
Tumblr media
its in hebrew and a bit hard to read. so i’ll translate the important parts.
“2. role: expulsion of the palestinian refugees from the villages and prevention of their return by the destruction of their villages”
seems a bit extreme don’t you think? well its not ending here
“3. the method:
a) {after} surveying the villages of al-Khisas, Jira, Khirbat Khuza‘a, Bi‘lin, al-Jiyya, Barbara, Bayt Jirja, Hiribya, Dayr Sunayd, gather the residents, load them on vehicles and expel them to Gaza. remove them beyond our(israel’s) lines in Bayt Hanun.
b) separate the locals from the refugees in al-Majdal (as explained in a)
c) burn the houses and demolish the stone houses
d) check the refugees who weren’t expelled among them the enemies and execute {them}
e) check the roads to the refugees and their origin”
e is presumably to find anyone who tried to run back, but this part is my speculation based on context clues. honestly i have no idea what else it could refer to, but i translated it for the full picture. the rest of the document is logistics, it was a top secret document, and even got removed from the official archives even though it was declassified. this order was sent by ben gurion, the highest authority at the time.
zionist never came to live in israel peacefully, the came to inherit the land, by disposing of anyone who refused. the gaza strip was created to house said refugees, because egypt didn’t open their borders, and refused to accept even one refugee.
the gaza strip is an invention of israel, the towns that were attacked on october 7th were built on top of the ruins and blood of the refugees who lived there. and palestinians in gaza are (mainly) 3rd generation of the refugees from 48’.
i don’t know what needs to be done with the people who lives there now(i doubt most of them even want to come back) but this is an indispensable proof, directly from the first prime minister of israel, the highest authority at the time, that the land of gaza and the towns around belong to palestinians, and Israel forcibly expelled them from said land, destroyed any reminiscences of it, and rebuilt their own settlements.

So Bisan Owda, a journalist from Palestine, held a live on TikTok. This guy managed to record some of it. Bisan has a message she wants the world to hear.
Also a bombing took place near Bisan before this guy started recording and Bisan confirmed it hit a mosque that was surrounded by four schools filled with refugees.
Video description
A person is facing camera
“Hello, I was on Bisan’s live yesterday and she was asked what she would like to share with the world about the Palestinian people. So I would like to share that with you now.
If you don’t know who Bisan is, she is a journalist who is currently risking her life to document and inform people about what is happening right now.
I have her tagged down below but she specifically talked about the phrase “a land without a people for a people without a land” which is a phrase coined to justify the occupation.
I started recording a little late but now she can tell you.
Cut to Bisan Owda talking mid sentence. A plane can be heard in the background the entire time.
“was written and he signed as if he owned this land. You know, before 1921 we had airplanes, we have airports, we had seaports, we had our own cities, our own capital, had a culture, a heritage, our own clothes, our own food, our own trade. We had a beautiful relationship, ships with other countries.
So we were a very beautiful land with a very very beautiful people.
We were not a land without a people.
Our land was promised for some foreigners from the west to come to.
And they came to, they took the land.
So I want the rest of the world to know that, Palestine is a um, a land with people.
Cut back to the first person
“This is were I should say that a couple of minutes before on the live there was a bombing that went off fairly close to where she was and it scared her. She had to pause for a moment then she finished her sentence, finished telling us what she wanted to say and immediately asked for information of where that was so she could then report it back to us.
Cut back to Bisan who is talking to someone off camera in Arabic. The person responds and Bisan turns back to the camera.
“The bombing was over Bilal Mosque. It’s in the middle of Hanunes and it’s surrounded, surrounded by at least 5 to 6 schools full of refugees.”
Bisan takes a deep breath and stares at the camera for a few moments.
“I think guys, I need to sleep. Because I’m afraid that this could be harder and that I uh, I could not sleep, uh, during the whole night you know. So I’ll try to sleep now
Cut back to the first person.
“Also the plane that you’re hearing in the background is constant. She said that it’s been constant even since before October 7th and that is psychologically warfare so that you never know when something is going to fall out of the sky.
She has to go to sleep to that. I just want you to keep that in mind tonight. How hard it would be to fall asleep to that. Knowing what that covers up, knowing what you will inevitably sleep through if you do fall asleep.
Cut back to Bisan.
“Thanks for the support, thanks for hearing, thanks for asking me to talk more about Palestine. So um pray for us, pray for us this year, this this night.”
Cut back to the first person
“Thank you for watching, please share and interact with this video to more people can understand what people have been going through for the last 90 days. Because they can’t stop thinking about it, they literally can’t escape it.”

The Israel Defense Forces recently destroyed the largest tunnel discovered in northern Gaza since the start of the war against the Hamas terrorist group nearly five months ago, the army said on Tuesday.
Stretching some 4 kilometers (2.5 miles), the tunnel approached the Erez crossing to Beit Hanun in Gaza, while never crossing into Israeli territory, with the nearest shaft located 400 meters (about 440 yards) from Erez. The Erez crossing is the sole pedestrian crossing between Gaza and Israel and before the Oct. 7 massacre was used to transfer Gaza patients to Israeli hospitals and by Palestinians with Israeli work permits.
First discovered on Dec. 16, the IDF has been studying and dismantling the tunnel, which had several branches and a maximum depth of 50 meters (165 feet).
The tunnel was big enough to allow for vehicular movements. The route included infrastructure for sewage, electricity and communication and secured top doors designed to prevent the IDF from entering.
Many Hamas weapons were found within the tunnel system.
The tunnel was destroyed in a joint operation involving the engineering unit of the IDF’s Gaza Division, the Engineering Corps’ Yahalom special operations unit, the IDF Southern Command and the Defense Ministry’s engineering and construction division.
Footage from the IDF’s activity to neutralize the tunnel appears to show a green-painted Nazi swastika, underscoring the violent antisemitic ideology of Hamas.
“The highest-ranking members of the terrorist organization were directly involved in building this tunnel, including [Hamas chief in Gaza] Yaha Sinwar and [his brother] Mohammed Sinwar, who worked on the planning, construction and budgeting, all of which drew many resources from the people of Gaza for the benefit of terrorist infrastructure instead of civilian infrastructure,” said the commander of the underground warfare unit, described as “Maj. Y.” by the IDF to conceal his identity.
It was reported in late January that the IDF has damaged or rendered inoperable 20% to 40% of Hamas’s expansive tunnel infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
Israel believes the Islamist group built between 350 and 450 miles of subterranean terror infrastructure, with upwards of 5,700 entry shafts.

hey there, everyone! we have decided to put the roleplay on an indefinite hiatus as of today. despite closing now, we are still passionate about the concept of the directory, even if we've had a dip in enthusiasm. we hope to bring hanun back one day and to execute everything better than we've done this time around.
thank you for the effort you put into your muses, their connections and the writing that you've done. we apologize to all members (former and current) for not hosting all the interactive events we promised in our advertisements. this was our first time doing something like this, so we're sorry for lacking as admins.
once again, thank you for everything and we're sorry for taking this sudden decision! we hope to see you again soon.

THE CALAMITY TRIO AS THE THREE HEADS OF THE DRAGON
01. Anne Boonchuy=Jon Snow (Name derived at least partially from the Hebrew “Hanun”, referring to G-d’s divine mercy and Grace, arc is all about learning empathy for people she previously dismissed i.e. Anne previously seeing frogs as gross and disgusting before becoming found family with the Plantars and Jon seeing the Free Folk as savages before becoming found family with them, notice how Polly and Ygritte are both plucky little warriors and Sprig and Mance are both talented musicians and Hop Pop and Tormund are both older grumps with hearts of gold who grieve for the children they have lost). 02. Sasha Waybright=Tyrion Lannister (Blonde, intelligent, most likely has BPD, from an affluent but broken home with at least one absent parent figure, falls in with mercenaries, most villainous/antagonistic of the main trio, leads a siege at one point)
03. Marcy Wu=Daenerys Targaryen (Character most connected with the fallen empire that used to rule most of the world, connected to the past in general, manipulated and gaslit by Drogo/Andrias, revives ancient magic, dysfunctional family life with controlling parental figure).
