Create in me a clean heart, O God…
“Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!
For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will return to you.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
O God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.”
Psalm 51:1-15 ESV
This psalm has been on my heart a lot the last few days. Reading and praying through it has brought a lot of truth to the situations I’m in. It’s revealed to me just how sinful I am. David wrote this after having an affair with a woman and killing her husband. He did terrible things. But he asked for forgiveness and he repented. God forgave him and still loved him dearly, even after his sinful deeds. It reminds me that I can never be too far gone for God to love and cherish me. I’m never too bad for God to forgive me.

The women of Jesus's bloodline lists are always interesting, but I feel like if you look it as a woman at other women you are just struck at the love and audacity of God. His audacity in choosing all the women the world would see as the least valuable, and His sincere love for them and making them, their lives, and sacrifices worth something only He could.
Eve the mother of sin, made the mother of salvation.
Sarah the barren wife, made bountiful mother of the gospel to the whole world
Rebbeca daughter of idolatry, made mother of the promise.
Leah unfavored wife, favored by God
Tamar unlucky in marriage, cast asside and forgotten, blessed because she sought justice, and to carry a child of the promise.
Rahab a prostitute, according to the world meant to birth children who are less than even she, mother of kings.
Ruth, widow, homeless, and a forienger. Home and heart of the children of God.
Bathsheba, an adultress who's first child died, matriarch of the one who kills sin and death.
Mary, humble and obedient to the call of God, someone the world called an adultress till the day she died. Standing as a represent every heart accused of a sin they didn't commit, redeemed and vindicated by the very Son of God, her own son as well.

Return to The Madding Crowd
Chapter 1: The Storm
You are Bathsheba's cousin who now lives with her and Gabriel on their farm and helps out. Bathsheba and Gabriel felt bad about what happened to William and have just bailed him out of jail so he can live in his house.

It was a dark and stormy night, the lightning lighting up the path ahead was the only thing that was helping you find your way home. You were soaked to the bone and had been walking for what felt like an eternity, you couldn’t believe that you had been that far away from your cousin’s house. Finally, after several hours, another flash of lightning showed you the farmhouse and it wasn’t too far away. You wanted to run to the house as you were ready to be out of the rain and forget tonight even happened. But the pain that was shooting up your leg with every step reminded you that running would not be happening. Slowly you approached the farmhouse wincing with pain as you went up the porch steps. You opened the front door and could hear talking coming from the dining room area which was odd with how late it was. Quietly you closed the door and tried to sneak inside but the old farmhouse floors were so creaky and your limp was getting worse.
"Y/n is that you?" Bathsheba hollered.
"Yeah it's me. I'm…um…. tired I'm going to go to bed." You shout in reply.
Your mother had wanted you to marry a wealthy soldier instead of helping your cousin Bathsheba on her farm. But you had no interest in marriage, at least not yet, and if you were to marry you wanted it to be for love. Tonight your mother insisted that you meet with the soldier for a date and he decided to try to propose to you. He was mad when you turned down his proposal and took his anger out on you. Afterwards he left you to find your own way home. You didn’t want to alarm Bathsheba or Gabriel so you tried to appear to walk normally as you passed by the dining room so that they would not notice your limp.
"Hold it….you're limping…..what did he do to you?!" Gabriel demanded as he jumped up from the table grabbing your shoulders as he observed you.
Shyly you turn your head and look into the dining room causing Bathsheba to gasp. You noticed a rather handsome man sitting at the table who was also looking at you in shock. There was a mirror behind the man and you could just barely see your reflection in the mirror. Apparently the downpour outside hadn’t managed to wash all the blood off of your face, and it looked like bruises were beginning to form from where he had hit you.
"Gabriel, I'm fine really." You mumble trying to push him away.
"You're covered in blood and limping, no you're not fine. Where is he?!".
"Gabriel, what are you going to do? Please leave him alone!" Bathsheba begged.
"No, he deserves to be punished, look what he did to her!" Gabriel shouted as he stormed out the front door into the storm.
Bathsheba jumped up from the table and ran out after him hoping to stop him. You blush and glance down in embarrassment as you realize you are now alone with this strange man. Slowly you attempt to keep walking to your room as your ankle gives out and you collapse to the floor.
"Oh goodness miss! Please let me help you. You're badly injured." The man pleaded, rushing to your aid.
"I'm fine really……" You stutter, blushing in embarrassment. .
"I insist. Please.".
He holds one hand out for you to grab onto and the other wraps around you for support. Gently he uses all his strength as he helps you up and guides you over to a nearby chair.
"Thank you." You whisper, your eyes are practically glued to the floor in pure embarrassment at everything.
"Can I offer you tea or anything to help make you more comfortable until they get back?" The man inquired.
You could feel him hovering over you and had a feeling he wouldn't leave your side until you said yes to tea or food.
"Sure tea sounds lovely." You smile, finally looking up at him.
The way his face lit up made you blush a little harder than you already were. You watched as he quickly grabbed the tea pot and a tea cup and quickly poured some tea. When he gestured to the sugar you shook your head no. You just wanted something warm to take the chill out of your bones. He handed you the cup and finally sat back down. Quietly you drank the tea waiting for Bathsheba to return with Gabriel. You could feel this man's eyes boring into you and you knew he was burning to ask you questions. Just as you were about to break the silence, Bathsheba and Gabriel returned. Gabriel stopped and glared at you.
"If I see him again I'm going to make him pay for what he did to you." He growled before turning away to put on dry clothes.
"William, I must ask you to leave. I am sorry. We will pick up this conversation another day. Y/n let's get you cleaned up and dried off before you catch a cold." Bathsheba consoled, gently putting a hand on your back.
The man, William, nodded his head and left. He gave you one final wistful look before closing the door. Using the table and Bathsheba's hand you hoisted yourself up and you slowly made your way upstairs where Bathsheba helped run you a warm bath. Once you were in the bath Bathsheba ran to your room to grab you your nightgown. Afterwards she left you alone to relax knowing you didn't want to talk about what had happened with the soldier. Little did she know you were curious as to who William was and why he had been here. After the bath you carefully made your way into your bed and laid down glad to finally be off of your feet for the night.

"You're safe with me"
Drew thomas x Female! Reader
Movie: The conjuring
Summarization: After your mother *Carolyn's possesion* you had been traumatized and always jumpy thinking bathsheba was still with you so you tell drew about the lately panic attacks and nightmares about the past events that had happened
(WARNING:PANIC ATTACKS, MORBID THOUGHTS, CONFESSIONS, FLUFF, AND KISSES.)
( Not very fluent in english sorry:) )
*One week after possesion*
I dial Drew's number to call him and tell him to pick me up for tomorrow morning. Me and Drew we're college students that had discover each other through mrs. and mr. warren's class. They had help through everything tough going on with our house which Im thankful for. Anyways lets get back to Drew.
I wait for a few minutes until he answered.
"Hello? Who's this?" Drew says quite confused that someone might have mistakenly called him
"Oh Hi drew! I just wanted to talk about how maybe you could pick me up for tomorrow I really have something important to tell you" I say, knowing my heavy feelings for drew it had been hard ever since I started admiring everything about him as he might like my sister.
(TIMESKIP)
I wake up in a scared state as I had another one of my previous nightmares. I stare at the clock to see it was already 5:30 am, I sat up and went to get my clothes ready now, since Me and Drew had class at around 7 in the morning.
I get my flared jeans ready, also with my tight polo, black converse and denim jacket.
(TIMESKIP)
I hear Drew knocking at the door so I grab my stuff and scurry through the door.
"BYE MOM AND DAD LOVE YOU!" I said so they know I was going to leave for school.
"Bye Honey, Stay safe!" My mother yells loud enough for me to hear. I open the door to see Drew standing there and smiling cutely.
"Hi Drew! woke up in the right side of the bed?"
"Yeah" Drew says smiling wider at me. I look at his cheek bones and I've never wanted to pinch someone's cheeks until Drew. I was snapped out of my thought's when I heard Drew say.
"Hey? Are you okay?" He touches my shoulder still opening the door for me.
"Yeah sorry, zoned out for a little bit" I say blushing when Drew touched my shoulder. "Sorry Drew"
"No its fine sweetheart, just get in the car." He says smiling at me. I get in the car and he closes the door for me. My cheeks turn into blood red as I just realised Drew had called me "Sweetheart".
I was looking out of the window so Drew would'nt see how bright red my cheeks had turned. I hear the engines turn on and soon we were on the road going to school.
"Sweetheart.. You called last night told me you wanna tell something? What is it? Everything going fine in the house? Are you fine?" Drew asks concerned as he remember's the past occurence.
"Right.. I just you know after the paranormal stuff, its just that I had been having nightmares and panic attacks about it, you know? I always dream about Mom when she was possesed, her eyes are still glued onto my mind like its a stuck bubble gum on a shoe. The panic attacks occur everytime I see them creeping onto me even if there is nothing anymore." I say ranting to him about the things that had been happening after the past events.
"Well sweetheart, you must have gotten pretty traumatized. Dont worry, the thing isn't gonna do anything to you anymore, I would never let anything get to you. Remember your mother fought this demon off just so she could protect you and your siblings. I know she'll do it again and again for you if she could" He says in a soft tone comforting me, his words had calmed me down from the thoughts of my mother and the demon's that had been around our house before even the events.
"Yeah, thankyou for being here for me Drew. Even if we had just met for a few months before this shit happened. I love you." Just then my eyes widen after I had realised I said those 3 words that I couldn't tell Drew before.
The car stops in the parking lot of he school,a huge screech could be heard. Just then I head Drew say "YOU LOVE ME?" he asks me smiling widely, I nod my head "Yes I love you Drew.." I say in a hushed tone. I felt his arms snake around my shoulder and waist hugging me. His face buried in my neck "Yes Yes Yes" I hear drew muffle in my neck "I love you so much too!" Drew says getting me caught off guard.
"I've always liked you! This past few months ever since we met I've developed such huge feelings for you.. I love you so much" He says confessing to me still muffled in my neck .
I hug him back "I love you so much too! Oh drew.." I hug him tightly like he was gonna disappear in my arms.
Just then I feel his hands cup my hands and he kisses me. Shock coursed through my body, but then I come back and kiss him back. We stayed like that for a while until we ran out of breath's.
We press our foreheads together cupping each other faces.
"I love you so much Drew"
"I love you too darling" He softly presses his lips against mine.
"I love you.." then the bell rung and we ran out of the car holding each other's hand to Mr. & Mrs. Warren's class.
(SORRY THIS WAS SHORT I WAS JUST BORED WHEN I WROTE THIS! T-T)

"No. When I want a broad-minded opinion for general enlightenment, distinct from special advice, I never go to a man who deals in the subject professionally. So I like the parson's opinion on law, the lawyer's on doctoring, the doctor's on business, and my business-man's—that is, yours—on morals."
"And on love—"
"My own."
"I'm afraid there's a hitch in that argument," said Oak, with a grave smile.
