Ok so I spun up about 800yds of dk yarn and kinda wanna make a long swishy cardigan out of it and then dye it with logwood but that would ofc need about 800 more yds of yarn.
Should I:
1. Buy more wool? (It was Rosie’s cloud top from the woolery so it’s only 20$ for a 1lb bag and probably 10$ for shipping)
2a. Use a different wool I have a lot of, don’t dye it, and alternate the yarns to hide the slightly off cream colors. (It’s the lonk which is rougher and not as “pearlescent” for lack of a better word so I think it would dye drastically different. But! I don’t currently have a plan for it other than some kind of sweater so this would be perfect)
2b. Use the lonk, alternate the skeins and then use an acid dye in a dark color in the hope it would hid the variation in fiber type.
2c. Use the lonk, and then low immersion dye the skeins so the the color is a lil tyedye and hope that hides it
3. Accept the amount of yarn I have and make a sweater vest instead. (The vest is also in the queue.)
Additional notes:
Between my package woes and my desire to travel next year I am trying incredibly hard to curb online shopping and save money this year but I do have a visa gift card that would significantly mitigate the cost of buying more wool. However I do have a lot of wool top with no immediate plans hanging around. I’m also trying to focus more on fleece processing; but I’ve accepted that I will always have some amount of top in my house I just don’t really want to add to it currently, even if I plan to spin the new top right away. I’m also kinda bored of the white top!!! I busted a 1lb bag in like 6 days yes, but I had new wheel mania going on….

everybody look at my cat in my lap as i was spinning
he had never done that before!!!! he just sat on my lap and fell asleep!!!
Fun fact! I drove 3 hours with my mom to get this spinning wheel. I have absolutely no idea how old she is but she was hand made by someones uncle. I call her Oma since that's whats etched into the lazy Kate that I also got from the nice old lady who sold it to me.

fiber arts really is such an insane category of Things in how it can draw you in. like, 6 or 7 years ago i learnt to crochet and made a few terrible hats and scarves. then i learnt to knit because i wanted to knit a scarf for my friend (now fiance :D). then i realized it should be a woven scarf so i picked up weaving instead, but i still really liked knitting so now i was doing 3 crafts. somewhere along the way i started dyeing yarn as part of my kitchen experiments, and then i was like fuck it i wanna make my own yarn ! and that is where the problems happened. in the span of like 5 years ive acquired like $2000 of various tools (spinning wheel, combs, cards, blending board, several looms, etc), bought dozens of fleeces, and now my bedroom is basically a craft room with a bed, i have wool covering every flat surface in there as well as a huge dresser full of wool and several large drawers full of wool, i meticulously scrape every last bit of avocado out of the peel so i can use it to dye fleece, and i don’t go anywhere (including in my own house) without at least 2 knitting projects and a spindle.
im not complaining or anything, but the rapid shift from ‘guy who does stuff, idk’ to ‘guy who is worryingly obsessed with wool and will infodump at length about medieval sheep husbandry and the history of nettle as a textile if you give him half a chance’ is like. extremely funny to me.

The final (I think) result of all the dyeing I've been doing for The Bestie Art Retreat
I may do a few more pale shades for contrast, but oof, it's probably been a decade+ since I've dyed this much fiber at once. Wools used: Rambouillet, Targhee, New Zealand Romney, Domestic Wool Blend, Falkland, Shetland, and Merino/Silk.

forever annoyed at the lack of non-woven jedi garments. excuse you, fibrecraft is the basis of society. where are they getting their cloth from? are they weaving it themselves? are they spinning it themselves? where is the knitwear. you cannot tell me that there are no sweaters in the jedi order. there are probably hideous sweaters made from fourteen different colours of yarn because they're made from the wool leftover from other projects. all of the colours manage to clash. and embroidery is just too good for teaching patience. hand-sewing in general is good and meditative.
these people are going to be darning their own socks, patching holes in their robes. they are going to have needles and thread in their survival kits and know how to hold the cloth tension just right with the force so they can re-weave the bigger holes by using tiny, straight sticks to hold the warp in place.

When Diana and her twin Jason was born after her, Jason was left to be disposed off in Amazon, only for him to disappear a second later.
Clockwork saw the possibility and took the freshly wet newborn swapping him with The Fenton's stillborn.
For what he saw in the possibility of the future was nearly endless as he did what he had to do.. for the best outcome to come forth..
A pebble here, a rocket ship toy there, an inch of furniture moved then so that incident doesn't happen, a poster paper on that tree. Minor tiny changes to help bring the visual to the present.
All leading to clockwork giving 19 year old sleep deprived danny an small yet important task to deliver a scroll in another dimension leading up to his body regressed in that dimension timeline the moment he slipped in and out the portal.
Diana knew she had a twin brother out there.. and she was going to find him.
What she didn't know that he was literally falling into her arms, when she and Superman went to check on the Glowing lararus pit portal made near metropolis.
Tiny little boy who look completely tired as he went unconscious holding a purple and green scroll in his hands, wearing clothes 3 times his size.
