Top 10 Bls for 2023

So I feel like this is going to be such a long post. First of all I struggled so much choosing what was going to make the top 10 and why. I feel like my opinions are a little different from the majority. For example, I did not incude Only Friends, Moonlight Chicken, Our Sky 2 or Our Dating Sim. It was interesting how my top 5 was easy and after that I was like ahhh what do I do?! So here is what occurred. Thank you bestie @gunsatthaphan as always for making the gifs. They are GORGEOUS and add so much to my words. Without further ado,

I have been anticipating this show since it was first announced in 2022. Let me just say, I LOVE JimmySea. I love their acting and chemistry. I also love these characters Day and Mohk. Jimmy and Sea are both doing a fantastic job at portraying them. This might be my favorite show of all time and I don't know how that is, but after each episode I just love it more and more. P'Aof always does such a good job directing each scene. I love his vision especially in this series. If you know me at all you know A Tale of A Thousand Stars has been my absolute favorite show for years now. Nothing has surpassed it. I think Last Twilight might do that. I had to give it to the top for these reasons alone. It's kind of funny that JimmySea are the top spot 2 years in a row. They just do something for me.

My precious little Korean BL. I was obsessed with this show. I think I watched it 3 times. This one just proves I prefer story over nc lol. This show had so much story which I enjoyed and the mains were so cute as Ji Won Young slowly found himself falling for Yoon Tae Joon. The second couple were also pretty fun and added to the show. This is why it is number 2. Go watch it if you enjoy story with a happy ending. I could probably watch this one 5 more times. The way it was acted was also fun it really kept me invested. So much character development. Okay I will stop now.

Did we think this would be this high on the list? I don't know. What I do know is watching this week to week was so fun and I still listen to a majority of the songs on spotify. This was high school, but also was so fun. Tinn was such a simp for Gun. FourthGemini did very well. As we can tell by the gif I ended up loving WinnySatang as SoundWin in this. They were just adorable! The umbrella scene, the singing scene, the scooter scene. They had so many. Also the fact this show did a music video for one of my favorite Thai songs was just...gah! I need to rewatch this one soon. I miss it.

Ah! my precious show that I waited forever and a decade to air. When the first trailer came out I was like YES. I am one of the few that have no qualms with Krist and then when it switched from Mike to Gawin I was like HUH?! It ended up working somehow. GawinKrist did very well and had pretty damn good chemistry. This story was so fun. The time traveling and the different stories. I loved watching Kawi become himself. Piasang never waivered and that was adorable. Aye as Pear was also so nice to see. All of the characters in this show were done so well. It had to get the number 4 spot. Unable was one of my most played song this fall most likely lol I love Gawin's voice.

I was surprised by how much I loved this show. It was so cute and done so well. It was one of the best surprises of the summer. There was so much story and characterization. It had such a good plot. I just loved them the whole way through. I don't usually like friends to lovers it depends how it is done and this was done perfectly. Love my little Bo Ram and Han Tae. Go watch this if you haven't. Cuties being cute.

ForceBook always take me over. I don't know why, but I just love them. GunCher were so cute and adorable and healthy. I throroughly enjoyed this show. They had to be in my top 10. Also we can't forget how adorable and sweet the second couple were. Koala hugs for the win okay?

PondPhuwin as Palm and Nungdiao. What a great show. I loved every second of this. All of the drama and excitement. All of the references to the Chinese story. I just really liked this one and I love PondPhuwin. Also the little snippet we got of PerthChimon. This was a good show. I don't care what the majority of you say. The ending scene with needing a charger is the cutest thing ever.

I don't know what it is about this show. I don't know why I love HiraKiyoyi so much. They are so strange and yet these two actors just captivate the characters and I can't stop watching. This scene is so funny because we have never seen Kiyoyi really get jealous of Hira. That is why my dumbass couple who can't communicate if their lives depended on it are in the number 8 spot.

I honestly have no idea if anyone else enjoyed this one as much as I did, but I really loved them. They were so cute. I am a sucker for we met before and cuteness. Lee Jun and Ha Ram were just cute. Ha Ram softened Lee Jun from his previous relationship. Also their chemistry was pretty dang good.

I really struggled in placing this in my top 10 for a multitude of reasons. The main one being the second couple took over the show and we got a rushed ending for the mains. That kind of irked me a lot. I just had to include it though because of one man BAI ZONG YI. He was the CUTEST character to ever exist. He never ever waivered. Him and Piaseng should compare notes LOL Anyway my babies are rounding out the tenth spot. I didn't dislike Ai Di and Chen Yi, but I was upset by how they took over. Both couples had chemistry chemistrying 🧪 which was nice.

So with this list I had to exclude a lot of shows that I did enjoy. I am going to list them here.

It pained me not to include Our Skyy 2 because I loved all of the couples but some of the episodes were just so cringe lol or bad. My precious PhuphaTian getting their happy ending was probably one of the best things though. That scene still brings me to 😭 . The episodes of Our Skyy 2 that were good were Never Let Me Go, A Boss and a Babe, 1000 Stars and it pains me to say this, but the Bad Buddy one was not that bad because it included 1000 Stars. Also Vice Versa's was weird, but it was enjoyable.

Minato Shouji Coin Laundry 2 didn't make the cut and that hurt so much because I think Minato and Shin are a comfort couple for me and they were adorable this season. It was just the plot. I don't want to spoil this if you haven't seen it, but yeah. I still love them though so they are getting mentioned.😍

Love Tractor was such a cute show and the character of Ye Chan was just so puppy coded and adorable. 🐶

Moonlight Chicken was a show I was so difficult about. I don't know why, but I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to so it was not included. EarthMix still have my heart 🧡 and FourthGemini stole the show.

Only Friends was a show that everyone was waiting all year for. I think they did a very good job, It was entertaining and Mew is probably my favorite character of the year aside from Mohk of course lol I just couldn't include it in my top. I'm sorry :(

I am actually surprised that there were so many Korean shows on the list this year. They really showed up. If you read the whole thing. Thank you. This took me hours to think about and put together.

Mình có một sạp trái cây qen, gần chợ đầu mối mà lại nằm trên một con đường nhiều khách du lịch. May á, vì dân như mình ít mua thì dì chủ vẫn sống ổn với khách vãng lai, là may cho mình vì biết được dì. Mấy tháng sau tết, mua dưa lưới ăn không. Bây giờ đọc sách rồi, máu mình không ăn dưa lưới nữa, hôm qa ghé mua xòai cát chu. Dì thấy mình ghé random giờ hành chính xen kẽ nên biết mình vẫn chưa đi làm, điểm này làm mình nể EQ dì lắm. Lần này dì lại bỏ nhỏ vài câu khuyên, "đi làm để tiếp xúc người này người kia đi con, ở nhà riết không tốt cho con người mình" . Rồi dì kể ngày xưa dì đọc sách dữ lắm, từ Quỳnh Dao tới Thép đã tôi thế đấy, rồi bữa kia dì đi vắng thì ông chồng lén bán hết 60kg sách của dì. Ố mài gót, chồng của con mà kiểu đó, chắc con cho vé đi du lịch 3 năm rồi. Mà nể đống tiền dì mua hết đống đó hơn. Rồi hỏi dì có ăn sa kê không, *con hấp với luộc ăn qá trời mỗi ngày mà không hết*, bà hàng xóm của dì ở kế bên nhào qa nói phải chấm đường ăn mới ngon, ×#người đâu ăn gì mà duyên qá duyên#×! Mỗi tuần ghé mua chưa được nửa lần mà qen mặt dì và chồng, con trai con dâu và cháu gái, giờ biết luôn bà hàng xóm duyên dáng rồi. Lần sau lại, bịt mặt kín mít cho khỏi ai hỏi han qá!

Mình có một hàng bún riêu cua buổi chiều tối, mối ruột. Hai vợ chồng nuôi đàn chó và hai đứa con ở nhà, hồi đó là chủ đề thường xuyên của mình và chị vợ nói chuyện lúc ăn bún. Lúc chó nhà mình không còn ở nhà, mình chạy lại than một chặp, sau đó bớt ghé hẳn. Cái nết mình ngộ ha!

Mình có một hàng ăn sáng qen, bún xào & bò kho. Hai vợ chồng và một em gái bưng phụ, làm ăn chăm chỉ hơn bất cứ hàng qán nào mình từng ăn. Độ thân thì phụ thuộc tần suất và thời gian ghé, trong vài năm đầu. Khi thân rồi, 2 tháng ghé một lần vẫn vui. Chị kể hết chuyện vợ chồng yêu nhau bị cấm cản, chị làm dâu từng cực làm sao. Hai chị em tám từ năm con chị lớp 7, năm nay nó học xong năm nhất nè. Dù cả năm mới qay lại, chị vẫn nhớ mình không ăn món gì trong bún xào, bữa đó xém chảy nước mắt vì xúc động. Mình đi làm một năm, về tặng chị nhõn tuýp kem dưỡng tay, lần sau gặp thì hỏi chị xài có ổn không, chị nói chừng nào đi đám mới dám lấy ra xài. Nghe xong muốn bưng giỏ skincare lại đưa chị lựa lấy ghê.

Mình có một người chị, mình qen hai vợ chồng từ qán cafe họ mở, rồi qán đóng, mấy năm sau lại mở cửa hàng đồ du lịch, rồi giờ mở lại cafe, vẫn có mình làm gương mặt thân qen. Chị giống bạn tốt của mình hơn, hai vợ chồng hai đứa con: một case hiếm hoi thời nay làm mình tin lại vào hôn nhân - điều mà hai bên nội ngoại mình không làm được, bạn cùng lứa mình cũng không làm được.

Dạo này lứa trẻ mình qen xã giao, tụi nhỏ lập gia đình nhiều ghê. Và mình vẫn giữ truyền thống là qen đủ hai vợ chồng, nói chuyện đc với cả hai. Nhìn lên nhìn xuống, nhìn trái nhìn phải, còn mình độc thân.

Có nhiều bạn cũ, mình có một loại tình cảm gọi là *đã cùng trải qa gian khổ* nên dù không gặp trong 5-7 năm đi nữa, vẫn xáp lại tám như thể mới năm ngóai còn học chung. Nói nhiều, thực ra định nghĩa số lượng của mình không giống ngta lắm.

Mấy hôm trước coi hết Rebel Moon bản full của Zack, hiểu được tới 95% luôn, ghê qá! Bình thường xem phim Zack mình hiểu một nửa à. Phim đẹp qá là đẹp, bấm bừa chụp màn hình cũng ra một tấm hình nền hài hòa màu sắc bố cục. Zack của tôi lần này vẫn bị chê kịch bản, tôi không def nữa *thở dài*. Mà phim này coi đã thiệt, bừng bừng máu nóng để chạy ngay ra ngòai tập thể dục ấy.

Hôm nay mới đặt về bản đặc biệt Bad luck 7 ủng hộ cô Châu bớt đau lưng, chắc chủ yếu là muốn lấy cái khung hình thờ để nhét mấy tấm bo góc của dàn nhân vật chính. Coi chùa popAnime mấy năm, thôi, làm con người một lần. Thấy comicola bán tập 1 Địêu nhảy của vũ trụ, tự nhiên chê mắc không mua. Hồi xưa mua mấy tập Tai mèo mặt ngầu, Nhóm máu O, Long thần tướng, Sát thủ đầu mưng mủ, bây h lại tiếc một tập truyện mới - nhiều lúc không hiểu bản thân cho lắm.

Có một vấn đề mình nghĩ không ra câu trả lời, mấy tuần rồi. Mỗi lần chạy ram nhiều một chút thì não hơi nóng và nước mắt có dấu hiệu muốn trào ra, thế là phải ngưng lại. Rồi thấy bế tắc, bất lực với chính mình.

Lâu lâu cỡ vài tháng, mình lôi đống viết ra ngắm. Cây gôm tombow mua 10 năm trước tới giờ mới chịu thay ruột, dàn viết màu viết chì lẻ thì mua 5 năm rồi, năm ngóai bổ sung một mớ mua ở Nhật, năm nay một mớ deli/ uni/ hàng VN, đầy ú hai cái bóp viết. Cuộc đời không nghiện ngập thư pháp/ vẽ vời/ sổ tay các kiểu, lại thích mua hương hoa thế đó. Vậy mà vui, vui từ hồi trung học cơ sở lận kìa. Rồi giờ nhìn mớ này không biết tiêu thụ đường nào cho hết. Thói qen là tự xài hết những thứ tự mua, bây giờ nên đổi thói qen hay nên kiếm một sở thích phù hợp mấy cây viết này đây!!!

Silly domestic DinLuke/Space family ideas inspired by my found family

- Luke saying to Din "you're not even that tall" and Din just raises his arm and touches the ceiling. Luke tries to do the same but can't. He then takes a running jump to touch the ceiling, he does, then falls flat on the ground. Grogu toddler over and sits on his back. Luke is now stuck on the floor and at the mercy of the mighty Grogu.

- Early on in building the school the younglings get used to following Luke around like ducklings when it's just Luke in the temple. When Luke goes to the 'fresher they just sit outside the door and wait for him to come back. So Luke opens the door and there's just a gaggle of younglings surrounding the exit.

- Artoo bullies Din to no end. His favourite thing is to lurk round corners or under tables and ram into Din's legs. Especially if Luke and Din are flirting or connecting romantically before and after they get together.

- Luke often climbs/jumps out of windows because it 'faster than going to and out the door and then walking over.'

- Luke and Rey lie on the ground outside when there's mad rain. Din appreciates that they're from desert planets but please come inside I am Mand'alor and Bo will kill me if I have to take time off to feed you soup cause you got a cold ...again.

- Grogu keeps finding and sitting in muddy puddles. Din insists that Grogu's ability to find puddles is related to the Force. Leia has to tell him that, no, its just a toddler thing.

- Han keeps challenging mandalorians to arm wrestling matches. He has never won.

Eve (2022)

Summary: A woman begins a plot for revenge against the people who destroyed her family.

My Rating: 5/10 (normal), 9/10 (wild)

Pros: Do you enjoy a train wreck? Like watching people go bat shit crazy in fits of destruction? Craving a drama where the actors are completely over the top and the mile-wide plot holes mean nothing to the sheer insanity of what is happening? Are you into rich people fashion that is so out there it actually works because the people wearing it are just as nuts? Then do I have a show to recommend you!

Cons: If you are looking for a good revenge drama with a solid plot and good chemistry between actors, look elsewhere.

Fanfic-ability: 7/10. I think there is potential here but honestly I don't know how many authors have the talent to actually out-crazy the writers of this show.

So first let me explain the rating: the show is a 5/10, but if you like wild hot garbage, this is a solid 9/10. Yoo Sun's performance as Han So Ra is worth the watch: she is a villain to the nth degree but so darn good at it you end up rooting for her by the end. The fashion, the acting, the incomprehensible love story just add to the craziness. Is it good? No. Is it entertaining? Hell to the yes. More thoughts under the cut!

Instead of giving the good and bad, let me just list my favorite awesomely bad things about this show:

The relationship between La-El and Yoon-Kyum was hands down the unsexiest thing I've ever watched. From their first flirtation, to their night together, to the doorface love confessions, it was the worst. The Chairman playing sad accordion while La-El attempted a tango against the wall was the absolute wildest thing and sent me into a hysterical fit. Park Byeong-eun was done so dirty with this role.

Whenever La-El showed up in some batshit insane outfit you knew shit was about to go down. See: the green emerald ruffle nightmare or the pink ruffle skirt of insanity.

Seo Yung-pang, you were pretty to watch.

Moon Do-wan wins the prize for most loyal bitch/boy toy and son of the year. The things that man has seen!

The whole dungeon thing was absolutely wild. And they would just casually have bloody prisoners around on the lawn? And no one would blink? What if a delivery guy showed up??

The chemistry between So Ra and La-El was better than any other relationship in this show, hands down.

RIP to Da-bi and Bo-ram. Your families were destroyed and your lives were ruined, but we'll never know what happened to you because reasons. The dramatic irony of La-El destroying the lives of two little girls and not getting a single consequence is astounding. Maybe season 2 will come out with Da-bi getting revenge on La-El.
