FATAL FLAW

Most children of Athena/Minerva fall under the curse of Hubris, I think your fatal flaw is your isolation. Most kids would bond with one another during Camp, yet you would stay back and minding your own business, only having one or two close friends. Your dad’s overprotective nature as a child made you this person who never had anything to relate with most people and this alone person who was never allowed out. This made you alienated from everyone. You never knew how to interact with them. And while your introverted heart did not seem to mind this isolation, this affects you horribly. 

BACKSTORY

Born to the Goddess Minerva and your father, you almost never knew your parents. Your father had shortly passed away after your first birthday, leaving you in a foster home. Every single time you were sent to a new home, something always happened and left you alone again and again. On your 7th birthday, a man with dark curls took you in and he cherished you like his own daughter. After losing his own daughter to ‘mysterious’ circumstances, he saw bits of her in you. It would take a few more years to learn that his daughter was also a demigod who had lost her life during a quest. Your new father became paranoid as you grew older and older. He almost never let you outside and never gave you any phone, forbidding you to even watch tv. This left you to only find comfort in books, but even that you couldn’t read. Your father bought you books written in Latin and Greek instead. Every single time you would see something odd, you would tell him immediately and he would move to another town with you. This left you with very little friends. But after moving to a new place, you met people who understood you and made great friends. But you saw the monsters again. You didn���t want to leave, not like last time. So you never told your father. Oh how you regretted that so much. A few weeks later, there was an attack on your house. The monster, if that is what it was, was terrifying for a girl only 13. The creature took his life in seconds, not before he told you to run and run until you felt safe. And that is what you did. You refused to look back, your own house wrapped in tendrils of fire and tears stinging your eyes. At last, your body gave in and you fell after crossing a river. Opening your eyes hours later, a boy with the sky in his eyes, smiled at you and said “Welcome to Camp Jupiter”. 

RELATIONSHIPS 

PERCY JACKSON was immediately drawn to you. When the Son of Poseidon arrived at the Roman Camp, he took an interest in you. He wasn’t necessarily into you, but you reminded him so much of someone he knew from almost a past life. You bantered with him yet you welcomed him. And your soul just never really reached out to him either. There is a mutual respect between the two of you though. 

HAZEL LEVESQUE is your little follower. Ever since she came to Camp, you were her older sister figure. You were always so perfect, smart and composed, but you were so in touch with your feelings (yet you always made sure you did the right logical things). You always tried to maintain a mask around her, hiding inner feelings to not disappoint the little girl. 

RACHEL ELIZABETH DARE is someone who I don’t think you ever met. While the two of you have certainly heard stories about one another, your paths never met. She was an oracle in Camp Half-Blood and you were a warrior in Camp Jupiter. The closest you have ever been is during the battle with Gaea when both Camps worked side by side. 

NICO DI ANGELO found someone who understood him. He has always felt in isolation and is out of touch with the world. Sounds similar? Well, when he met you at Camp, you sort of took him under your wing after Reyna instructed you to. And he was an amazing boy. The two of you would talk about Magical Card Games and other interests yet you knew when to not speak when the other person did not want to be with anyone. 

CHIRON thinks highly of you. You are a person who is a realist like him and an amazing leader. You were the person who led your cohort into battle and Chiron was incredibly proud of a child he barely knew. During the peace era between both Camps, he often came to you and Reyna for advice because even though he knew his own camp, he didn’t truly know yours. I instantly thought Suga was a great match for you because you said you like someone with gentle eyes and I just LOVE Sugawara’s eyes. They look so comforting, like you can just open up to him about your deepest darkest secrets and he’d listen unconditionally. 

Study dates are in your future with Suga, I’m not sure if he’s incredibly smart, but I’m pretty sure he isn’t failing like our beloved Tanaka or Kageyama lol. So 3am’s with Suga are delirious; he’s just rambling on about something and isn’t fully making sense, so you’re just laughing at him and he gets pouty because his half-awake self thinks you’re making fun of him

You had proposed the idea of a sleepover to him, and he was really trying his best to stay awake

Cue him jolting up and running to the bathroom to throw cold water over his face every few minutes

You do try and tell him that it’s okay for him to just fall asleep, but he refuses, he NEEDS to stay awake

Mission failed though because he does end up falling asleep as you just admire his sleeping face, deciding to end your attempt at an all nighter and just sleep with him as well

He does wake up early though and uses the time to admire you as you sleep

Soobin:

Okay so I had originally had Taehyun as my first choice, but after months of letting this matchup sit, I thought Soobin would be a better choice. Now excuse me if any of this is wrong, it’s been a long time since I delved into anything-txt-related, but I do still keep up with their music. I just haven’t had time to watch their other stuff SIGH. But again the eyes part made me choose him. Soobin has the cutest, most gentlest eyes in the whole world. Literally if he ever looks at me and asks me for anything, I’d have to give it to him, how can you say no? And let me just say, he definitely uses that to his advantage.

With the boys he’s a cheeky menace, but with you, he’s just so incredibly sweet (but still has his playful moments whenever he isn’t being shy). I’d like to think he’d be a gentleman with his s/o and treat them with so much love and care. He loves how intelligent you are and likes to watch you study instead of doing any studying himself lol. Hi, may I have a matchup for legend of korra, narnia, and percy jackson? I go by she/her and am bi with no preference so any gender is fine.

I’m about 5’5, dark blue eyes, medium length hair thats kinda too dark to be dirty blonde but not so dark that its light brown with slightly lighter blonde highlights throughout. Ive been told I typically wear what would be considered 90s type of style but leaning away from more feminine things tho I’m not opposed to dresses and all. 

I get pretty anxious when thrown in certain situations rather that be talking to a group of people or just one person. But when I get to know someone I never stop talking. I am a ranter and rambler which means I could be ranting about something that happened and then start talking about something else that may or may not be related to the original subject. Though I do enjoy listening to other people talk. I am considered the mom friend because I tend to be the most logical. I'm also a very determined, stubborn person who usually is kinda pessimistic but still has a huge imagination. And despite all the anxiety I am usually a relatively confident person and am not afraid to take up for anyone I care about. Also I am pretty good in school despite having a kinda bad memory. Also an INTJ and Sagittarius. 

I absolutely love writing, art, music, reading, and watching various shows/movies. I also really like walking around and enjoying nature. There's a few nature trails I love going on and would go to the zoo every weekend if I had the chance. Which also goes along to my love for animals. Reasons Why I like it This is a great little rule set to help eliminate the overwhelming power of magic attacks. Having them take half of their damage back in reflection will reduce the likelihood of having in all my team. While some of this can be negated with void or high health or triage, overall there's a lot of low health magic cards that are simply too risky to play in the school set. Having it means that you are more likely to face melee and arrow attacks

Initial Rule Set and Mana Gameplay Thoughts

Rulesets Another three rule set match. Having counter spell for me makes magic a hard play. I think there can be one maybe two magic cards to contend against. This becomes even more complicated as all arrow cards are excluded in the broken arrows will set meaning only magic and mainly can be used. This means it's likely to be a melee focused team that I am both going to play and face. The last rule set taking sides which eliminates the neutrals won't have as big of an impact on the game as the first two.

Mana 45 mana is a great number. I can play any card I want and multiple legendary high mana cost cards while still fill it up with you. Anything more and it starts to just be all 12 minute cars, and anything less and sometimes you have a hard time fitting your optimal line up in

Splinters Losing fire and water are both blows considering that these are going to be melee focused. Fire is a long-standing melee juggernaut with availably boost from the summoner plus a lot of good cards but I'm really focused, well water has the great ability to use the team full of boosted opportunity and reach cards that have trample.

Summoner UNDERBOSS FABINO I decided if I was going to play melee, I might as well boost a couple of cards with plus two May late to start the match.

First Position UNICORN MUSTANG One of my favorite cards from untamed, it has decent speed a solid attack plus void which means it's a great way to counter any magic cards I see while still attacking relatively early in the lineup. It also has a decent health which means it can get healed at least once before being eliminated

Second Position BRAMBLE PIXIE I don't use bramble pixie too often, but I don't have a good excuse. It's high health and we attacked with reach means it's a great second card especially with a healer behind. In this match it just seems logical as I am trying to build the biggest melee team I can.

Third Position QUEEN MYCELIA Yes it's magic, yes it's only up for health, but the real benefit comes from the protection it's going to give everyone with the armor. It will die in fourth round on reflection from its own attack, but I don't really play it to music attack, I want to protection on each one of my cards

Fourth Position KATRELBA GOBSON One of the most powerful cards once it gets on a roll the double sneak attack with bloodbus can be devastating. Once I give it to boost to start the match of a plus two melee, it will be doing four damage each with double strike for up to eight maybe damage in the first round.

Fifth Position GOBLIN PSYCHIC Wanted to heal my primary attack clients to allow Katrelba as much time as possible to get on a roll

Sixth Position MYCELIC SPLIPSPAWN In an attempt to also allow the Katrelba to get as much time going as possible I want to play slip spawn as a way to both counter Katrelba since his health is high enough to avoid a first round knockout in most cases.

Opponent Lineup & Match Play

Summoner HELIOS MATRIARCH Solid choice, adding speed and the ability to pull another Gladius card is always a solid choice

CHAOS DRAGON Bit of an odd choice, it does have ten health and a three magical attack with flying but overall it seems a little awkward in first position

CARNAGE TITAN A great card with a reach double strike decent health and very high armor, only thing I don't like is that it only has a base to melee attack which leaves it vulnerable to dispel.

GOBLIN PSYCHIC Please nicely with the first two monster choices as it can give them a decent heel in the first couple rounds to allow them to continue to protect the

KATRELBA GOBSON Much like me, the double sneak melee attack is the primary option. Luckily for me it doesn't appear to be boosted and with attacking slip spawn I have 11 health to get through before they start to build via bloodlust

BERTROL GOBSON Another nice Gladius card with great speed and bloodlust with opportunity. If it wasn't for slip spawn it could start to also become a heavy hitting card.

Round 1

That's around starts I'm feeling pretty good, I feel like I have a very nice counter to their lineup while at the same time having a significant advantage in the attacks. They do have the greater speed from their summoner and get to do most of their attacks first. Fortunately for me not much damages taken for all because I've got the extra armor. When it is my turn I get slightly unlucky on Katrelba first of it s double strike attacks that creates a mess, while the second one connects and knocks out Bertrol. I do have a second Miss from bramble pixie on chaos dragon, I guess the speed and flying was a good combination overall. We end around with only the one knockout.

Round 2

How's the round start again, I'm feeling pretty good. I have a double strike sneak attack dealing five day with each time that should significantly wipe out my opponent. My Katrelba attacks first this round, the first hit knocks out there's, and the second of the double strike knocks out goblin psychic. But this point I am already at an obscene 7 melee damage, 6 speed with five armor and seven health. This is already in a bag as I have not lost a monster and they are down to one.

Round 3

Who's around 3:00, but there's only four moves in round 3. And it is all Katrelba, her attack is high enough to eliminate that seven armor and the first round, and we're meeting health by the end. Securing yet another knockout and victory for my team.

Thoughts -

I think someone are choice and the addition of a taunting card really turn things around to my favor. Boosting the double sneak melee attack by 2:00 allowed me to secure a first round knockout. I also benefited heavily from having a high health taunting card which attracted all of their attacks and was able to sustain the damage without giving them a knockout and triggering bloodbust for them. Without building their stats Like I got to with mine things quickly got out of hand for them and I was able to just mop up the back line..

personality: I'm a little awkward with people im not so close with but I'd try to make some sort of conversation unless it's a mutual/comfortable silence yk? im more outgoing around friends and can be clingy also lol, I'm more onto the physical touch side with people im closer with, it's not those super big affection gestures but subtle ones if that makes sense? like I'd hold onto their sleeves, being in contact with them in some ways even if it's just shoulder touch. I laugh and smile a lot, I'm not very mindful of my words also sometimes I just blurt out things. I can be dramatic and if it helps my friend once said I was like a clingy dog to my other friend 😭

• I'm easily unmotivated but gets interested in things easily also. I'm lazy and I tend to put the bare minimum onto school work and stuff with a few exceptions maybe. I'm not very emotional and it's a little hard for me to maintain relationships with people I don't see almost everyday at school lol unless we have mutual friends. I get scared easily by horror movies and jumpscares. I cry/tear up/get emotional a lot watching sad shows and reading sad stuff lol. I'm kinda bad at comforting people, my advices are normally just straightforward and like no sugar-coating and stuff. I'm a realist. I want to make more friends but scared to approach people first. Deuce isn’t talkative really. But he would struck up a conversation. He immediately takes you as someone who’s on the calmer side of things and he somewhat likes you from the start. Once you two bond and get closer, Deuce will be around you half of the time. He really likes being around you because of your softer presence. You’re not an overwhelming person and he likes that.

He notices your small, yet affectionate gestures and his heart flutters everytime it happens. It startled him at first though. He really wants to make you smile and it’s rather easy when with you. You two have quick conversations in the hall and he walks off feeling in cloud nine.

He likes how you fix your hair. It’s simplistic but he still finds you absolutely stunning!

He wouldn’t be very obvious. But his actions when he likes you would be sort of weird. He stared a bit too much and he slapped himself when he realizes he’s being weird. He eventually gets found out by all of his friends and they encourage him to go for it. So he does and he’s a big mess. He made a script on what to say but he meets with you face to face and his mind goes completely blank. He manages to spit out his feelings towards you and his heart absolutely drops when you ask him if he’s joking. He shrinks away and seems really upset. You learn he’s completely genuine.

I had a literal conflict over this because I think you could be compatible with more than half of the characters in dr. stone (looking at gen specifically), but UGH you and Senku would be so damn iconic together. As much as he’s not intent on becoming romantically involved with anyone, it just so happened that you both had a chance meeting together at the school library — in the modern times pre-petrification, of course. You were looking for a book on the development of radiation powered technology for a history class, and by coincidence Senku was reading the blurb of that very text when you stopped by. When you asked if he’d read it, your classmate simply shook his head and said he just knew a lot about the subject, and soon enough a conversation blossomed from that point.

Y’all talked for two hours. While standing in the same spot. TWO HOURS. And it didn’t even stop there because he realized the time and asked if you wanted to talk more over a bowl of this really good ramen he knew about close by. Senku barely even realized the implications of his offer until much later, since…

Everything about you was so interesting to him that he cannot process anything else going on around him and he doesn’t know why

You just feel so different in comparison to his dynamic with anyone else that it throws him off. He’s curious as to why he straightens up when you walk in a room, why everytime you smile at his stupid dry jokes it makes him more confident, why your intrigued questions about his work give him an extra burst of adrenaline. After he comes home late, having fallen asleep in the library while you studied for a test beside him, Byakuya eventually spells it out for Senku in massive bold letters.

No, seriously, he writes it on a whiteboard with a chunky black marker.

“That’s ridiculously far-fetched,” he asserts quickly, trying to push his old man out of the room. “Since when have I ever been interested in anyone in that way?”

“Senku, you waited for her to finish her work. Without complaint.”

And he’s like: oh shit—

But knowing Senku, he still makes some futile attempts to disprove the concept that he could ever be attracted to someone in a romantic sense. Ya know, all that, “science is my only devotion” shit. It lasted for about two weeks, which was the exact amount of time that he tried avoiding you in hopes of seeing if he could in fact continue his routine without your presence next to him.

The bitch still cannot swallow his pride though, so you have to be the one to make the first move — which is about as simple as perfecting Flight of the Bumblebee on a violin. Every time you try bringing it up, it’s like Senku gets a sixth sense about it and is pulled away from you as soon as possible. At some point you just had to corner him in the school lab, hands smacking against the surface of his work table and mouth blurting it out.

“I think we should go on a date.”

He’s kinda impressed at the sheer willpower you displayed in finally getting the question into the air. And as much as he would hate to admit it, some happy nerves shot through his body when it happened. On the outside, though, he simply failed to fight a grin.

“Wanna get food with me tonight?”

And you did :D and it only went good from there. Dates at cafes with comfy chairs and pretty lighting, test runs of new experiments in the middle of the night that Senku calls you to see together, just enjoying the presence of one another in a secluded corner of the libraries you frequent. Even after the disaster that was petrification you’re both side by side, being sarcastic little shits to each other as soon as Senku frees you from the stone; doing new tests to save the world, going on picnics by the river, and constantly being of service to one another.

Listen, listen: I was considering a more standard/expected approach to this matchup, like maybe c!Wilbur or c!Niki because they’ve both got some major academia vibes. Especially Niki, because damn she’d probably take you to her flower shop and make handmade bouquets for you each day. However, I just think that it would be so perfectly fitting to have you and c!Sapnap together aesthetically. He’s very emotionally driven, always doing something stupid, and he probably hasn’t read a book since L’manburg claimed to be a sovereign nation. Regardless of that fact, he could sit and watch you read a book for hours, even if you didn’t ask him to. Standard case of grounded scholar + impulsive idiot = natural soulmates.

Within the region of the SMP, I imagine you like confining yourself to the libraries filled with ancient texts on the vast history of your home — although taking a visit to Eret’s self-made museum is always a pleasure as well. Niki gets along with you easily enough that you hang out together all the time, and it’s on one such occasion in the early days of L’manburg that Sapnap encounters you for the first time.

Dream had sent him out for scouting duty (which to Sapnap translates into, ‘be annoying to everyone within the walls’), and he’d taken to the edge of the country’s small borders, lounging up high above the trees so that he could see everything below with ease. To his surprise he found you, scribbling away within a ragged old notebook underneath a tree canopy, and wearing the prettiest smile he’d ever seen exist on a person before. You were waiting for your friend to arrive, it seemed, taking the ideas in your head and putting them to paper whilst you sat patiently. He was enraptured with you right away, and as a result he took to teasingly pestering you every chance he could.

Sapnap showed up at least once a week — and when he could, more than that — to slowly learn more about you. He tried staying under the radar of Wilbur when he did, just to make sure none of his endeavors were interfered with or got back to Dream in any capacity. Initially, his presence appeared a pain in your side, but your apprehension ultimately fell at the hands of his ridiculous humor and genuine inquiries as to your likes and dislikes. You knew who he was from the get-go, but it was hard not to find delight in his visits when he made such vigorous attempts to know you.

Although you’re sure he’d already learned it somehow, you told him your name one fateful afternoon, and he’s thought about that moment every day since, marking it as the first day he truly made progress in winning you over.

“You should come up here one day so we can talk normally,” he called out on a particularly overcast fall morning. “Maybe then I can see your face up close.”

You laughed, gazing up at him from the hillside on which you reclined. “You’re ridiculous. That’s not how this relationship works.”

“Mm, relationship? Sounds like you wanna gimme a kiss more than saying anything, hu—ow!”

A pine cone had clipped him in the shoulder harmlessly, chucked with expert aim by your own hand. Despite his surprise, Sapnap couldn’t help smiling.

“If you’re working that hard to twist the narrative and get me up there, how about you just come down instead?”

Without missing a beat the next day, he scaled to the top of the nation’s wall, made his way inside (with very little consideration for his safety), and took your face in his hands.

“You want me to?”

You already knew the implications. “Yeah.”

Navigating a full blown relationship in the conditions y’all were in was not ideal. Sapnap tried everything he could to make sure you were safe, despite his distaste for your mother country and its leaders. After that cleared, though, it was a whole lot easier to be together and figure things out. Sapnap didn’t mind you staying within the walls as much as he initially thought because it reminded him of the first time you met, and so long as he could spend time with you he loved every second. Literally ask this man to do anything with you and he’s in, no matter what it is.

The sheer spontaneous energy Sapnap has inevitably feeds into your own, so while you’re much more contained than the pyromaniac, you have some very notable moments of crazy that are simply unforgettable. It’s honestly super funny to see that infectious life invade your senses, because otherwise you’re a super logical person and love entertaining yourself with the more simplistic things.

You work a lot with Wilbur on record keeping and cartography, but something that you and Sapnap apparently have in common is archery. That pine cone throw was no fluke, and he found that out when you came to visit, a shimmering bow fastened to a stock-full quiver on your back. It’s become a pastime to both ride out into the forest with your horses and practice archery (oftentimes mounted) as a way to let out frustration. If the weather conditions are too abysmal to go and do something outdoors, though, Sapnap likes to fall asleep watching you do methodical work, most commonly with his head in your lap as a fireplace crackles nearby. He’s a huge sucker for that cozy atmosphere, even though he tries to be all tough and badass at other times.

This became a huge ramble because I just think this pairing for you works so well, but I’m praying you get the picture. Sapnap is a flirty, slightly whiny, very protective, and free spirited person whenever you’re around, and he’d do whatever he could to see that pretty smile like the first day you told him your name. He thinks the world of you, and in his eyes your intelligence goes unparalleled.

My name is Evelyn, my friends call me Grammarly because I constantly fix their grammatical errors, and this just came to them. I go with she/her pronouns, and I had(or still have but whatever) mild depression and anxiety before due to bullies. I'm straight but don't mind gay or bi people(they're people just like us I don't see the difference). I am a Cancer sun, Sagittarius moon and Gemini ascendant(rising). I am an ambivert, very introverted around people that I don't know but very extroverted around people that I'm familiar with.

I am Chinese and I am considered just average for kids my age. I have natural bronze-brown hair that is an inch or two past my shoulders with chocolate brown eyes. I am considered quite thin and short(my friends are total giants). My current goal is to grow taller since I am always laughed at for my height, which I hate.

I've gotten ear piercings at 10 years old and I like to wear black or darker colors, since stains don't show up that much and they make me feel secure and hidden from everyone's opinions.

I am sort of like halfway between the straight As kid in my class and the kid who plays games and never listens. I don't really like to follow the rules, but I don't like making mistakes or getting low grades, because when I was young a mistake meant punishment. I don't like to listen to long lectures but I prefer to get my information from books.

My favorite color is black and most of my clothing are black but since my family doesn't want me to wear black all the time(It means death or bad luck in our culture) and always force me into wearing brighter colors, which I hate. I won't call myself stylish because most of the clothing that I wear are more comfortable than stylish, like hoodies and sweaters. My element is water, and I love the ocean and its inhabitants, since it makes me feel calm. I like water-related elements because water can take on many forms and appereneces, but still the same thing through and through. I also like the fact that water can be calm and elegant at some points, but also could be raging and furious at another.

I like music, art and literature. I depend on logic for a lot of things, because it is the most straightforward way to understand things in my opinion. Music and Art are ways for me to let go of myself and expresses my emotions the way that I want, since I am always expected to be "better than others" and "smarter than average", which I really don't like. I am strongly against comparing things or people to each other because I believe that everyone is unique in their own way, and is never "better than others". I play the piano and the violin, I take Latin dance classes, I am in an orchestra and I take tennis and art classes. I don't necessarily like all of the classes that I take, but it's not like I have a choice, so yeah. I like to write, sing, draw and read a lot and these hobbies have been with me since I was a young girl

I hate taking road trips or just trips in gerenal, because I don't have enough space to burn the excess energy that I have, and sometimes it causes me insomnia for me. I eat quite a lot, and move around a lot so it doesn't make me fat or something like that. My favorite animals are wolves and my favorite food is salad.

Besties I just saw the Leon vs Diantha fight and I have Thoughts This is a VERY opinionated rant so read at your own volition. Also just so its not misconstrued, this is in now way hate towards any Muses that people play, just based on the writing of the anime and how much I dislike it.

....this is so boring.

Like there's plot armor, and then there's whatever just happened with Leon vs Diantha, they don't even SHOW a majority of the fight!? Like I get it, you want Leon to be seen as this Legendary Trainer, so logically you'd want him to stomp and do well right??

Then...can we see that through strategy rather than his Pokemon just eating Super Effective attacks and acting like its nothing, then 1/2-shotting his opponents Pokemon? Its implied through the shots that they did give us that the matchups were: Dragapult Vs Hawlucha Dragapult Vs Tyrantrum Rillaboom Vs Tyrantrum Rillaboom Vs Aurorus Rillaboom Vs Gourgeist Rillaboom Vs Goodra Rillaboom Vs Gardevoir G-Max Charizard Vs Mega Gardevoir

Like the Dragapult fighting off Hawlucha and losing to Tyrantrum makes sense, but you're expecting me to believe that RIllaboom...is actually able to solo four different Pokemon? Two of which resist its common moves, and two that are easily able to strike it with super effective attacks? We even SEE Goodra nail it with a Fire Blast and just shrug that off, as if he didn't fight three other Pokemon before her???

And again, I get it, Leon is meant to be a super powerful trainer with insanely strong Pokemon...but from a viewers perspective, his fights are just so...boring, and lazily done.

I love Leon as much as the next guy, but in my perspective, his title of an 'unbeatable trainer' is so blown out of proportion in the anime compared to the games. To me, the whole 'Unbeatable Trainer' thing was implied to be in EVERY region, because, well, every region has a Champion! Leon was Galars Unbeatable Trainer in the games cuz he was their Champion for a long time, until the player character came around.

The same could be said for Cynthia and Sinnoh, Diantha and Kalos, Steven and Hoenn..... (I leave Lance and Iris out of this because I believe its sorta implied that they're on the weaker end of things since they're new/regaining their title as champion)

I don't really wanna get started on Alain so...yeah.

Its a point of story writing to keep your viewers engaged with each beat, and if half the tournament is just scripted/skipped because 'obvious Leon is the best Champion he'd stomp the competition', then its not good writing. Its just lazy and presents the tournament as kinda a joke or just a setup.

I'm just not looking forward to Ash winning everything as well, I hate his plot armor, and I know he will get to the finals because the plot needs him to, without any realism in the sense of actual strength.

Its just really sad that the most exciting Tournament of the year in the Pokemon Anime universe only has one unpredictable battle with Diantha Vs Lance, and in turn, made it the most exciting. I just can't wait for it to be all over rather than waiting in excitement for each battle.

On the flip side the preview for the next episode does have me a lil interested because this might be the tournament Cynthia does apparently, she MIGHT RETIRE after it’s over!
