Hey btw I'm going to a nearby comic con in April and I'm not a professional cosplayer or anything but I thought it would be fun to have a few of my cosplays that I've made in the past ready to go depending on what I'm feelin and I was wondering where you guys would recommend getting affordable wigs from. My ass is broke but not keep-using-spray-in-hair-color-and-cutting-your-hair broke lol so any help is appreciated!!
(also what kind of cosplays do you think are best for comic cons??? I was thinking of going as an omori character but tbh I'm not sure if anyone would get it, being a smaller more local convention ^^;;)

For Halloween I wanted to be real simple with my hair (key: my own hair) So: cornrows!
Going for a fairy-esque look, I found a white wig for my costume that I added faux flowers to with bobby pins
I did find it on Amazon cuz my beauty supply store just didn't have what I wanted.
The right side (my left) is how it came out the bag after an intake shake. The other was me working on fluffing and cutting the ends to start shaping it and add some more "afro" to it
I tried it on, fixed it, picked it, and cut it over two days to make sure I liked it. I tested the flowers beforehand and decided on this pattern day of
And it's pretty lightweight and comfy! The only thing is that it comes medium cap and I have a big head, but because it's an afro it wasn't too bad. I only used the inside clips cuz I was just gonna do pics; the connecting strap would be fine too.
And it came out great!

How to Secure a Wig: Tips and Tricks for a Confident Look
Wearing a wig can be a fantastic way to change your style, add volume, or try out a new look. However, one common concern is making sure the wig stays securely in place. At Yara Hair, we understand the importance of feeling confident and comfortable in your wig. Here are some simple yet effective tips to help you secure your wig and enjoy your new look without worry.
1. Choose the Right Wig Cap
The foundation of a secure wig is a well-fitting wig cap. Wig caps help keep your natural hair in place and provide a stable base for the wig. There are different types of wig caps available, including nylon, mesh, and cotton. Choose one that feels comfortable and fits snugly without being too tight.
2. Use Wig Clips and Combs
Most wigs come with built-in clips and combs that can be used to secure the wig to your natural hair. To use them, simply slide the clips or combs into your hair, ensuring they are firmly attached. If your wig doesn’t have these, you can sew in additional clips or combs for extra security.
3. Apply Wig Tape or Adhesive
Wig tape and adhesives are popular options for ensuring your wig stays put. Wig tape is double-sided and can be applied to the hairline and other areas where you want extra hold. Adhesive glue can also be used for a more long-lasting grip. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do a patch test to avoid any allergic reactions.
4. Adjust the Wig Straps
Many wigs come with adjustable straps at the back, allowing you to customize the fit. Make sure to adjust these straps so the wig fits snugly on your head. A properly adjusted wig should feel secure but not overly tight.
5. Use a Wig Grip Band
A wig grip band is a soft, adjustable band worn underneath the wig. It helps keep the wig in place and provides added comfort. Simply place the band around your head, position your wig over it, and adjust as needed.
6. Style with Confidence
Once your wig is secure, style it as desired. Use gentle movements and avoid tugging or pulling on the wig. If you’re planning to style your wig with heat tools, make sure it’s heat-resistant and use a heat protectant spray to prevent damage.
Conclusion
Securing your wig doesn’t have to be a hassle. With the right tools and techniques, you can enjoy a comfortable and confident experience. At Yara Hair, we offer a range of high-quality wigs and accessories to help you achieve the perfect look. Visit Yara Hair today to explore our collection and find your new favorite style!
By following these tips, you can ensure your wig stays in place all day, giving you the freedom to move, dance, and enjoy life without worry. Happy styling!

So I got a pink wig as a gift and idk what cosplays to do with it. I have some ideas like Aubri from Omori Or a girl version of Saiki K since I do have cosplay stuff for that but I need some other ideas cause I like to reuse wigs and I'm not sure entirely if I want to do just those characters. Can yall give me some anime character, video game character, cartoon characters, etc. with pink hair for ideas? It's a medium-long wig. Thanks so much!
