All good now though! I'm back from the dead with a bunch of new stuff. This is an ImomoDoll Apsu head I'm working on. She's going to be Coco from WHA. I'm so glad there is a company with more affordable vinyl anime-style dolls. Imomos aren't perfect and the body has some issues however I'm glad to have one, I really do. The vinyl is really nice and doesn't have a "cheap" feel to it. I might take the body apart and make it more poseable when I have more time.

doll customizers i need your help!! i’m rerooting for the first time (specifically mh g3 ghoulia and frankie) and i’m having some trouble getting the hair out. i managed to get nearly all of it, but there’s a few strands that just won’t go! i’ve been mainly scraping the glue off, but when i scrape those last few spots it does nothing and i don’t feel any resistance. i’ve heard of people using nail polish remover to dissolve the glue and i’m thinking of trying that next. if anyone has any tips i’d really appreciate it!!

She was made using a secondhand Howleen Wolf as a base, and her dress was made using Requiem Art's Looking Glass Lolita and Meido Dresses patterns.

Gyaru girl update!

She has been dyed! She used to be white as paper>_<

I got the dye a couple of days ago and today I've been able to use it:) She was always meant to have a darker skin tone and I think she looks amazing now!

The process wasn't as hard as I thought, I dyed each part separately and made sure not to mix the left and right side parts. The colors of each part aren't perfectly identical, but it's not very noticeable irl (this picture makes it look a lot worse than it really is lol, the light in my room is shit)

Doing everything outside helps not worry about the mess!!

Restringing took a bit more time, but it wasn't super hard (paying attention when I was taking her apart helped a lot). I haven't used any sealant, but I don't think it's needed- I tried scratching/rubbing her a little and no paint came off.

Next steps are working on a head and finally giving her a skirt/shirt/shoes. I have been having some wrist pain which is why I haven't made any more clothes yet, but it's getting better^_^

I'm working on a Cleo ooak doll! Their head is from a gen 3 Cleo and the body is a gen 3 Draculara!

Sometimes I get really discouraged looking at posts about doll customizing online. People will be like "my first ever custom does it look ok uwu" and it's like flawless?? Or post something amazing with nothing but criticisms toward themselves. Like damn, I'd love it if mine came out half as good.

Not trying to shade these people, i totally get being self critical, and if you do make something amazing on your first try I'm genuinely happy for you (just also jealous). But wondering if anyone else struggles with these feelings.
