don't "donate" your hair to orgs btw they are mostly either straight up scams or just mired in waste. if you want to do charity hair just sell it yourself and do what you want with the money
selling your own hair and then putting that money into someone's GoFundMe is going to do more good than ever giving it to a middleman. or just sell it for yourself! keep in mind hair that has ever been bleached or dyed is worth almost nothing but frankly if you have super long hair and are getting a big cut I would try selling it anyway, might be worth a few bucks
edit: also there are a lot of haircut fetishists who will pay for it even if your hair is dyed

I definitely should be more active here. Anyway have some Art of one of my fursonas Lizzie!
this one is one of my proudest works ever. I am so happy even just seeing it, idk why. btw this is Lizzie cosplaying as my other (main) fursona (Philippa).
This drawing I did portrays her a bit earlier on lorewise. I mostly did it since I am gonna get my own hair cut short soon (this summer) and donate it and kinda made this drawing to represent it. Haven't shared it yet everywhere though as I am waiting for Summer for that.
this one is just a sketch for now as I need to draw the proper digital one still. But this is Lizzie if she got the super leaf from mario. I have a series going on where I draw my other fursona (Philippa) in different Mario Power Ups and upnext was the super leaf, I still need to draw that though but in the meantime, I also sketched out a version with Lizzie too!
Anyway if you wanna do fan art of her, go ahead! I encourage it even! But pls dont do any nsfw, gore, political or sensitive art of her though, thanks.

When I went back to college in 2021, I promised myself I would grow my hair out so it would be long and beautiful for graduation 👩🏻🎓 I also promised myself that I would then cut it and donate it after graduation. I graduated on April 30th of last month and today I finally made the big chop! 14 inches of my hair will be getting mailed to Wigs for Kids first thing tomorrow and I can't wait for it to make a difference in the life of a child who truly needs it.
For me, this was a process of personal growth and the goal to make a difference helped me push through those really draining semesters. So not only will I be helping someone, but they helped me too without even knowing it. So, to the recipient of my hair, thank you!🩷

Day 3681 - Chopped a bunch of my hair off! It wasn't quite long enough for a proper donation to be used in wig-making, but the Locks of Love website does mention that they'll accept shorter donations for purposes like selling the hair to offset costs. Better than just going into the trash at the salon!

The Big Chop!
So, the time has come at last! I'm late to the party as always - there's actually less than a week until I am donating almost all my hair to The Little Princess Trust.
This is a charity very close to my heart, because having donated to them once before, I actually ended up needing to call upon their services for my own child when she developed trichotillomania.
While their work supporting children undergoing chemotherapy is obviously what they are best known for, and remains their primary focus, they are a charity who seek to help all children experiencing medical hair loss.
But that support isn't free. It costs hundreds of pounds/dollars to make, ship, and fit each wig, tailoring it to the child's individual needs. I can attest to the care and sensitivity that goes into those fittings, having attended multiple of them with my child. They also help to fund research into children's cancers, which I hope one day will prevent many children from having to lose their hair in the first place.
Overall, I am happy to offer up my own hair - it took a few years to grow, so hopefully it won't be too grey by the time it gets long enough to do this again. But while I am also donating to this fundraiser myself, I hope that, if you are able, you will consider making even a small donation as well.
See the fundraiser here!
