Haikyuu Chapter 381: Bitter Enemies In The Same Boat

REFLECTION:

Ha. The Little Giant became a manga artist. Loser.

Notably, the chapter addresses something about the Twins. Namely, why they're suddenly singular. Osamu Miyu quit Volleyball after high school. His now non-conjoined is in a new contest with him: when both are 80, who will have the happier life?

The chapter continues with the Jackals kicking ass, ending it with doing the attack the twins were known for...but better.

Theory about the ‘faster than high school’ freak quick by Atsumu and Hinata as opposed to KageHina’s freak quick

If you look at the shot, Hinata has his eyes open as he’s trying to spike a toss that’s still in motion. So it’s likely that this toss is the one from the freak quick vers 1.0 where the ball doesn’t stop at Hinata’s highest contact point but flies past it. 

but now.. Hinata has better technique and more experience. He likely jumps higher and reaches the peak quicker than before and can hit the fast toss with his eyes open. So in my opinion, the faster freak quick is all mostly Hinata’s improvement. Our boy has come a long way, hasn’t he? :”)

Haikyuu CH 381 Ramblings  Spoilers Ahead!

AKAAAAASHI!!!!! 

AKAASHI IS BACK!!!! 

He is back and he’s friends with Tenma! And he’s wearing glasses, I am all for the pretty setter wearing glasses. 

My owl child is an editor of manga magazine and I love it. I laughed at the bit where it said he wanted to be in the literature department. 

Akaashi gets freaked out by the twins' telepathy, Akaashi you have no room to talk, you and Bokuto clearly can have telepathy too. 

It was adorable when they all freaked out about Romero's serve, their inner fanboy came out. 

I adored the twin flashback. Even though they are going separate ways they are still pushing each other forwards and pushing each other to go beyond just their best. 

Osamu ripping on Atsumu was hilarious. Though Osamu ain’t fooling anyone, he is proud of his brother and it shows on his face. 

Atsumu and Hinata doing that quick gave me chills.

Kageyama being able to get it shouldn’t have surprised me as much as it did. He was the one who helped create it and was Hinata’s teammate for three years, he would have gotten accustomed to Hinata’s movements and would not be surprised by his actions. Though the fact that it went out of bounds was kinda funny. 

The brazil crew calling Hinata a ninja was wonderful. 

The bokuaka moment! I love those two so much. I love that they remembered what they said before and said it again. (Plus Akaashi called Osamu by Bokuto’s nickname so they probably talk every day.) 

I think that just speaks to how amazing Hinata truly is regardless if he needs a setter to pass him the ball. 

The Kageyama and Atsumu rivalry?? I think yes! Poor Kageyama, he is just jealous he doesn't get to set to Hinata anymore. Also, the fact that there’s someone who can be that close to Kageyama’s skills (other than Oikawa) is very interesting to see. 

THIS QUICK IS FASTER?! What does this mean? I mean I know what it means but I’m intrigued to see how the Alders will deal with it.
