i'm probably the least qualified person to talk about the movie, having not read the manga and knowing nothing about the match before watching it but– I actually loved it so muchhh. The soundtrack, the flashbacks to small kuroken mixed in between the tension of the battle, Kenma's expressions and his rivalry with Shoyo (that panel of them charging at each other with knives as Kenma says "we're friends"?!^@*^♡), the way it was all so bittersweet at the end that I couldn't believe it was over, everyone having their little moments to shine...

most importantly, I HAD FUN!!! Isn't that the whole point?

ABOUT HAIKYUU!! Movies and Fukurodani

i’ve been thinking A LOT about the Fukurodani vs Mujinazaka match and whether or not it’s gonna make it to any of the two movies we are getting

I just think there’s a lot to put in just two movies, unless they are like 3 hours long each

And I just hope really really hope they don’t take that away from us gaaaaaahh like there’s a lot going on in that match!!!!

• Akaashis internal monologue, and his self consciousness, and how he is really passionate about volleyball

• Akaashi calling Bokuto a star,

• AKAASHI SMILING AND LAUGHING!!!

• Bokuto being so so freaking awesome and yes he’s a star,

• the crowd cheering for him and bokuto just adores it,

• Konoha being a little ass ignoring bokuto and tossing to Sarukui instead

• Fukurodanis coach and Suzumeda considering Akaashi is a weirdo too

• Akaashi just being so fkng proud of bokuto and could you blame him,

• all of bokutos tender smiles when he tells akaashi his tosses are the best

• THE WE ARE THE PROTAGONISTS OF THE WORLD LINE !!!!! AND WHAT IT IMPLIES

• Akaashi crying after their match,

• Bokuto being there for him rebutting his rebuttals

• the whole team watching them

THE BATTLE OF THE GARBAGE DUMP THE MATCH THAT YOU ARE 🧡🐈‍⬛🐦‍⬛❤️

Went in without re-reading so it was almost like a fresh experience and OH MY GODS it was amazing.

Firstly, the animation was slick. Like you could feel the weight of each spike, the impact of each receive, and the fluidity of the team movements. Also the camera-work was insane. Especially near the end where it was Kenma's pov — the speed and blur, then the cut to summer, and back again to that final set — *chef's kiss*. And they still did the Haikyuu!! comedy animation which made me happy 😆

Finally hearing the OST within the movie was so good! Getting to see where each OST played was so much fun — they truly never miss🙌

The sound design overall was crazy. Really elevated the whole thing — gave me chills the entire time😍

Gonna make another post I think about the panels & pages I screenshotted the first time I read it that changed a bit or were cut, but the movie did so much in such a short time!!👏

Just seeing them play and interact with each other was everything — the tears❤️😭 (and then the lead in to the Kamomedai match!! 😱)

I went to see the movie, I quietly cried the whole time it was so good, it looked so good 😭

There's a... Challengers-like scene at the end that was just *chef's kiss*

The whole movie is just feels over and over again about Kenma, Kuro, Hinata, they did an amazing job

also there's a post credit scene guys, watch out, don't leave
