they met each other today and a very unexpected initial reaction from winston was EXCITEMENT! following that he has been uhh... greatly overstimulated/overwhelmed, and i can't tell exactly how he feels about the situation and maybe he doesnt know either. bruce has been doing pretty good at regulating, doing zoomies and playing with toys to let off steam and not taking it out on me.
#cant tell if winston is pissed at ME but not at bruce. pissed at both of us. pissed about bruce being near me.#or just generally overexcited and mad because its weird and he doesnt know how to express it#but it was so sweet to see him so happy to see another bird#im sure theyll calm down and learn to communicate better in time#also. if youre asking “woah - has it been a month already?”#the answer is no. due to circumstances i have decided to cut quarantine short. a risk im taking

i succeeded in weighing bruce for the first time! 68.8 g, full. also, his appetite seems to be getting better and hes pooping more. he is so tiny so i dont think that weight is bad, but i expect him to gain some as he continues to settle and eat more.
#and hes very energetic#bruce#he might not have even lost weight and be at a perfectly healthy body condition but i just havent had a way to monitor it#winston is about 80 grams full

things are notttt going well rn
#it started out so promising like he was eating playing exploring trying new foods seemed fairly content#now hes freaking out anytime im not in the room/insisting on being glued to my shoulder when i am there#and barely eating#bruce#girl idk what to do#we're making some progress in encouraging him to go off of me to play but he is still just as distraught when i leave#and hes barely interested in treats or any food#i think cause of stress#he doesnt seem sick because hes still high energy just wont express it properly#idkkkk#haha. ive been keeping it to myself but lets be real. Just so everyone knows im freakin out here
