Hihi! I was reading through all your Haikyu dad fics. I love them so much btw! I was wondering if you considered doing on for Daichi? How he would react once he found out reader is pregnant? Canonically he's a cop so maybe he gets worried about how dangerous his job is and if he can handle the extra stress? He gets distant from reader because of it and doesn't wanna add any extra stress to the pregnancy. It could def be angst to fluff.

When Daichi first became a cop he hadn’t thought anything of it, it was a nice job that paid well. After you two got married however, was when he started to become concerned.

His head would swirl with thoughts of you getting injured or living alone because he’d been injured with his job, and after you two had found out you were pregnant the fear only grew.

Today however, while he was directing traffic working as a crossing guard, before he could direct any traffic someone had almost run him over. And for a moment Daichi let the shock rush over him before calling in the liscense plate. Thankfully he was unscathed and someone else offered to take over his position.

When he’d gotten home you were next to the kitchen island a big mixing bowl sat infront of you.

You smiled sweetly at him and when he got over to you, he didn’t hug you like normal, he couldn’t what if that guy got arrested and came for you because you were the most precious thing to Daichi.

So for the next month the process proceeded. He’d broken up your schedule so much you’d find yourself crying to sleep as he’d stay in the living room late at night watching trashy television in his recliner which he’d only bought to rock your baby in, you miss the way he’d rub your belly at night helping to soothe the soreness and calm down your baby girl’s sharp kicks to the ribs.

One of these days however, you’d had a little scare, you’d thought you’d had an early contraction thankfully it was just a Braxton hicks contraction, still to be cautious you’d had a friend drive you to the hospital, you never called Daichi, he hadn’t talked to you since last week.

“Y/n? You’re here?” Daichi sighs out in relief as you walk into the house he holds you tight and your brows furrow, you place your hand on his back.

“I was worried” you can see the relief in his eyes.

“You were worried?” It’s than he realizes how horribly he’s messed up.

It took an incredibly long time to forgive him for ignoring you like that but inevitably you did.

When you gave birth to your precious little girl Daichi relized than that while yes his job comes with risks, that everything does even what he thinks will protect his family comes with risks and he’s happy he was able to relize that before it was to late to fix his family.

He smiles softly at his baby who stares up at him with her big brown eyes in her cute little bear onesie he’d boughten.

♡—SAWAMURA DAICHI

he knows the basic information about periods and pads. after the moment you had chatted with him he followed your request to buy a pad without any trouble. he walks to a nearby convenience store and grabs a pack of overnight pads. and as he was about to go the cashier, something had caught his eyes. the box of [flavor] tea, he eyed it and remembered that you had mentioned that you drink this kind of tea whenever you felt stressed or tired. he took the box and made his way to the cashier to pay, and he walked to your house. meanwhile, you were on your couch, sulking in pain caused by your period. you groaned as you squeezed your eyes and held your stomach just as another wave of painful cramp hit you. your ears caught the sound of knocking, you immediately recalled that you had told your boyfriend to buy you pads. you got up from the couch, having your back hunched over and your hand over your hurting stomach. the silver knob on the door opened, and daichi straightened his back and smiled, but that smile faltered a bit when he saw your pained expression. "darling?! are you okay?" he looked at you with concerned eyes as you let him in your house. "a-augh.. no.." you closed the door and immediately laid on the couch, sprawling your limbs all over the couch. he let out a half-suppressed laugh and sets down the plastic bag, and comes to you. "aww.. i'm sorry that you're feeling that way, i bought you the tea you like. do want me to brew you some?" he asked, smiling at you. "yes.. please." you grunted out. he then headed to your kitchen and brewed tea for you. after brewing the tea, he sat down beside you and handed out the tea. you thanked him and drank the [flavor] flavored tea, and the tea ended up making you feel better so you and daichi spent the rest of the day with each other <3

note : he's canonically an older brother and has younger sisters so he definitely has some experience! ( ty to that person who commented this on my old post )

♡—SUGAWARA KŌSHI

if you were to describe this man, i'd be 'green flag', well technically it's two words, but you get the idea. he knows that menstruations come up every month, so he's always there to help you, and he also knows the basic stuff too. he just straightforwardly buys you a pack of large pads, and some snacks went to your house. as he entered your house, he gave you a peck on the cheek— causing you to blush and give him a kiss back, too. "hey, what about we watch a movie?? i bought some snackss!" he said while handing out the bag. earlier, he bought a pack of microwaveable popcorn, so he microwaved it up. after he was done, he set up the snacks on the table in front of your tv, and both of you did movie marathon while cuddling sweetly ♡

♡—RYŪNOSUKE TANAKA

he's DEFINETLY has researched what menstruations are. he knows almost everything about it and maybe even more than you. he has studied it scientifically, learning how and why it happens, and he makes sure to absorb everything he reads when he studies about it. and because he's so well educated about periods, so ever since you both got together, he has downloaded a 'period tracker app'. so he knows when he can help you get through your period with ease well, the best he can at least. and also whenever he gets a notification from the app, he always takes the opportunity to come and help you. some time later, after you texted each other, he arrived at your front door. he was carrying a backpack that seemed to be full of stuff. you eyeing the black bag until he spoke. "babyyyy! are you okay? are you getting cramps? i have something that could help you if you are!" he quickly said as he inspected at every corner of your body. "ryuu, I'm okayy!" you giggled from the ticklish feeling of his hands when he 'investigated' you. "ahh.. good." he sighed from relief upon hearing your sweet giggle. both of you then entered home, and he put dropped his bag on a table. you were surprised by the loud sound when tanaka placed down his bag. "uhhh ryu? did you.. bring a lot of stuff.. like last time?" he looked at you with his eyebrows raised as he unzipped the bag. "nope! actually i..." the man paused his words as he completely finished unzipping the bag before dumping the contents of it, and it seemed to be.. multiple packs of pads?! a heating pad, and more other items that are related to menstruations. "brought more!" he said joyfully, having a smirk plastered on his face. "new record babyyy!" he wooed loudly as he let out a laugh while your jaw dropped and your wide eyes blinked at the amount of pads. it was quite strange.. he was quite literally celebrating that he got more the amount of pads than before, but you just let out a little sigh of pleasure as you watched him celebrate. you then came closer to him, and gave him a kiss unexpectedly— causing him slowly turn his head towards you, he shivered from the feeling of your warm lips on his cheeks while his arms were wrapping himself. he was also giggling uncontrollably, and his cheeks were tinted pink. oh, how you so much you just love your himbo-of-a-boyfriend so much ♡

♡—NISHINOYA YŪ

he's quite similar to tanaka in a way because he's trained by him! tanaka taught him the way he learned it, by googling and watching videos of course. (don't take that sentence wrong) nishinoya has gone through tanaka's training by texting him and pretending to be you. he honestly did well, but when it happens, it actually happens.. he's surprisingly nervous. but nonetheless, he still buys your needed item with a swirling uneasy feeling in his stomach. after buying the pad you were in need of, he skipped his way to your house. as he faced your front door, he let out a heavy breath before knocking on your door. you then heard the knock and swung the door open, just to see nishinoya handing out the plastic bag to you with his eyes closed. it's as if he was a young boy who just started courting you, having a bouquet in his hands standing in front of your parent's house. you giggled at the sight of your boyfriend as you planted a kiss on his forehead to show your thankfulness. he just smiled, and he returned your kiss.

♡—WAKATOSHI USHIJIMA

he's very straightforward with things, so when you chatted him he just simply followed your request and bought it with no trouble. he doesn't think that buying pads for someone is embarrassing. he thinks that pads are as normal buying anything else. after you texted him, he headed to a nearby store and bought a pack of pads. then he exited out of the door and made his way to your house. when he arrived at your house, he gave you the pads with a soft smile on his face. "thank youu ushijimaa!", he nodded at you. "do you need anything else? i can help you with anything." he said, smiling again, "hmm yea actually.. can you buy painkillers? these cramps are killing me! get it?" your awful pun made the man to chuckle. "mhmm, i knew it." you raised your brow at his statement while you watched him grab something out of his pocket hoodie. he then hands you out a bottle of painkillers. "babyyy?? omg thank you so much!" the man had a knowing smile on his lips, "seems like i guessed right." he emitted out a quiet laugh. and just as you were about to hug him, a pain of wave came up on your stomach, causing your arms to only hover around his body, and you groaned in pain. he sighed with a smile, and he did the hug for you, his large arms wrapped around your body. "c'mon now, let's head inside and make you drink up this pill." you nodded, and he placed his on your shoulder and guided you to your home. "we'll continue to hug once you feel better." he assured you, placing a soft kiss atop of your head.

Word Count: 3.3k holy shit didn’t know i could write that much

Thinking about if you and oikawa were really close friends

Both of you had feelings but both of you buried those feelings

Oikawa was HELLAAA ambitious with his career and he knew what he wanted to do

Since the start really and u didn't know wtf u wanted to do

And oiks has always been like that since he was young

So u both just assumed u were inherently "incompatible" bc of ur different motivations and lifestyle choices

Which is totally not true bc now u both realize it could have fucking worked bt u two

Then u guys grow up and ur eventually gonna marry someone

U love this person with all ur heart and soul but ofc there's always trouble in paradise :/

Oikawa becomes this famous volleyball player

But despite the fact u grew up

Oikawa still talks and calls u and checks up on u

And he's been doing it more too bc of the fact ur getting married and hes just watching out

For his friend

Part of it is just genuine concern

But the other part which is probably the WHOLE reason

Is that he still wants to be in ur life, even if he wasnt the person he wanted to be

Was to be ur spouse and to support and love u

Like u deserve :)

Ur fiance tho is being inconsiderate and honestly unfaithful

Bc yk they're ego got to them when they got famous and rich

And now ur basically a trophy spouse instead of being in a loving relationship

And everyday you sort of have this regret of not choosing oikawa or speaking up about it

And oikawa hates the fact that he didnt stick his head out for u when he could

So both of u are just in this hopeless case bc if u do just follow ur fantasieswhat's

Who knows what the goddamn media would say about whats happening

And ur fiance already victimizes themselves

So ur just stuck wishing u and oikawa did something before all this happened :(

Your trembling hands grip the glass of water you were scrubbing as yet again, your spouse was being bitchy.

Well they were your fiance, and they weren't being bitchy. They were just being inconsiderate of you, your hard work, the things you did for them.

The affection you gave, the tears that fell when they didn't say or do anything about it. How they never thanked you for sacrificing your time with other friends and family so you could support them with their ongrowing business.

When they were unemployed and doing nothing you were there. When they became "self-employed" meaning starting a business you were there. You faced the ridicule and the judging questions people who were close to you asked when your significant other did these impulsive things.

You were beside them when they finally put their business out in public. There when they became rich and sort of famous. There for the sleepless nights on unemployed days, not so employed days, and self-employed and self-made days.

And what did you get in return, for your time and love?

Your dear fiance, going out to dinner with the same goddamn business partner, and coming home and telling you all about their wonderful date.

Yes, they called it a date. You knew that business partner had eyes for them but you brushed it off. You trusted your fiance. But you misjudged that.

Because now they're rambling to you about the funny things that "business partner" said during their date.

"Oh god sweetheart they're so fucking hilarious. They just make the craziest jokes and so loud and so blunt about it, " they say laughing taking off their coat and grabbing a glass out of the cabinet.

You literally just washed those.

You smile, "I bet they are. Their employees at their company say they just brighten up the place."

You remained passive. Maybe your fiance will stop talking about them and help you clean the kitchen. Ask you if your day was okay or how you're feeling in general. Maybe after that you would get some food and watch a movie together like you used to.

Or maybe you could act like a regular couple and sleep together. You know, like normal. Not calling other people, business partners, staying up late on your phone doing whatever. 

“They make me feel like all this is worthwhile, you know? They’re just there with me and supporting me. I just-” They pull out the bottle of wine you specifically saved for your family dinner to celebrate your upcoming wedding.  

Maybe they forgot? 

They pour the wine into the glass, some spilling on the counter that you know you probably have to clean up after. 

“I’m just so happy that I even met them. I don’t even know where I would be without them. I feel so stressed with, you know-” 

Your fiance motions with his hand at you like he was swatting a fly away. 

“With our wedding, that I don’t even have enough time to close in on business deals and they’ve really helped me get the stress out with how much time our wedding preparations have been,” they say with a contented smile. 

Your grip on the glass hardens as you place it in the dishwasher. Were you becoming a burden to them? Did your marriage and spending time with your fiance equate to stress to them? Enough stress that they consider the wedding a waste of time? Even when you haven’t sat down with them and talked it over? 

“[Business Partner Name], they make me incredibly happy and I feel accomplished and an amazing and powerful person when I’m with them,” they say finishing the glass. 

They walk over to you and give you a smile, setting down the glass in front of you. No kiss, no hug, no I love you and Good night . 

They walk away to their office and shout, “I might be calling them again later tonight, [Name]! So don’t bother waiting for me in the bed!” 

Once they were out of sight your form crumples and you steel your self, gripping the edge of the sink. You throw your head back and blink the tears that were about to fall from your eyes back, and you wipe your nose. 

Didn’t they JUST spend time with them? Did they not have time for you anymore? It hurt. It was that crumpling of the paper hurting where the person’s hands would get stabbed by the rough corners of the paper and the hard lines. But they didn’t care enough to watch out so they kept on crumpling and twisting and pushing the paper until it was reduced to a sphere. 

A sphere that isn’t perfect at all, that has rough edges and bumps but it was forced to become a sphere. 

Did your fiance become the hands and you were the paper? To be yet again molded into something that they chose for you to do? And you faking everything to try to be that perfect sphere? 

Oh, but not him, you think with a smile. 

He would smooth you out, and laugh with you, tell you everything was okay. He’d give you that amazing smile, the one where his teeth are all showing and he couldn’t breathe so he sounded like a cat in water. 

No, don’t think about him. You shake your head and leave the empty glass in the sink and turn off the lights. 

You shouldn’t even think about him. He shouldn’t even be on your mind, your conscious scolds you as you walk to the bedroom to get ready... 

Ready for what? Another night of wallowing in self-pity and the impending feeling of loneliness that was just thrust upon you from the person you loved? 

The answer was obviously yes, because you immediately went into your nightly routine of getting ready. 

You went into the bathroom, set your phone down and start washing your face vigorously, like you were trying to wash out any negative thing in your brain. 

Suddenly your phone alerts two new notifications. You grab your face towel and wipe of the water and adjust your eyes to the notification. 

Toru Oikawa sent you a message

Your eyes widened. What was Toru doing? 

You quickly opened the message to scold him for posting this stuff. He knows your fiance would absolutely hate it if you even interacted with Toru because it would hurt your image in the public eye. Whatever the fuck that meant. 

Ever since you and your fiance, who at the time was just a lover, became more noticed in the world of celebrities and the elite society, the both of you they did decided for the best that the both of you just you wouldn’t share your private life with the public unless checked with the other. 

That meant telling your friends that you couldn’t meet with them in public as often since they were “normal” people. That also meant you couldn’t go out as much on your own. 

Which didn’t bother you as much, since your friends were understanding and you called, face timed and invited them to your residence as much as you could. 

But time went on, the business grew as well. So, less time with your friends were spent, you barely interacted with other people outside of your family. You barely looked at your phone except the mindless scrolling on social media. That also meant your fiance being in the public eye more, meaning you had to watch your tongue, your body and everything that you did. Your fiance became almost protective, no they were practically policed you in everything you did that you just didn’t bother fighting or finding loopholes to do what you want to do. 

Toru also became famous as time went on. Of course he would be. Ever since high school and college the man would whimsically say his dreams, but you knew they were actual events that were going to take place. Look at him now. He was a professional volleyball player, a Division One athlete. 

Yet he wasn’t uptight about the public eye, like your fiance. He would constantly be empathic to the public and to others, sharing his story of trials and hardships he had to face to get to where he was. 

Toru was so genuine and in his element. He accomplished everything that he set out to do and was happy.

You remember watching him win the gold medal in the Olympics and tears stained the couch because you were so happy.

You also remember when your fiance gave you a lecture on how you can't get interact publicly with Oikawa on social media or in real life because of your social status and his.

“It’s been so long, [Name]! And god you’re such a daredevil, can’t believe you snuck out of the house from your fucking fiance,” he says, bitterly.

His face is turned into a scowl at the mention of them and you’re taken aback. He’s never reacted to them that way before, he usually remained neutral, passive.

His face turns red and you can’t help but feel shameful at your request.

He gulps and nods, “Yeah just uh.. follow me.”

You take his hand as he leads you to the elevator and into his room.

Toru gestures for you to sit down as he grabs you some water.

“So what do you want to talk about? I mean I’m glad that we’re able to talk since it’s been a while but what’s so urgent?” he says lightly settling down beside you on the bed, handing you a cup of water.

“I’ve never liked [Fiance aka random person name],” you blurt out.

Toru looks surprised, “What do you mean-”

“No. I don’t mean it like that. I do like them. I just think I fell out of love with them,” you say slowly, trying to explain to Toru.

He urges you to go on.

“They’ve been um... neglecting me. Telling me my efforts for the wedding’s been um...”

“A burden?” Toru says softly and you nod.

“They’ve been uh seeing other people too, mostly this one person in the disguise of business work,” you say and Toru fumes.

Instead of bursting with anger like he wants to, he calmly asks you,

“How long has this been going on?”

You look away, “A year and a couple months now.”

Toru does the math. That was around the same time you accepted the proposal.

You turn to him and look him dead straight in the eye. Toru’s pupils are large and his breath is caught in his throat.

Nishinoya- I think we all know this goofball can't stay still in class. When he's taking tests he probably fidgets in his chair, eager for the last bell to ring. His teachers are constantly calling him out for him to pay attention. 

Final grade: D+

Tskuishima- He’s a showoff smarty pants. He likes to brag to Kageyama and Hinata about how he scored high on all his exams. Tsuki seems like the type of guy not to ask questions in class or really pay attention but still manages to understand the material. 

Final grade: A-

Yamaguchi- Yams asks Tsuki for help ALL the time. Yam’s is a good student, he turns in his work on time and pays attention in class. He’s too busy thinking about how he can improve his severs or embarrassing moments that pop up randomly when he’s in math. He gets nervous before exams for sure. 

Final grade: C+

Hinata- It’s confirmed that Hinata isn't the brightest. He’s constantly working with Yachi after school but still not understanding the material. In class, he tries his hardest to focus, but his mind wanders and ends up on volleyball.           

Final grade: D+

Kageyama- Kag’s is just as bad as Hinata which is also confirmed. He doesn't even bother paying attention. He thinks about how he can beat Hinata at practice. He stares at the clock the whole time waiting for class to end to make it to the club room before Hinata. Yachi tries to help him out, but he's a lost cause. 

Final grade: D-

Tanaka- He’s probably the type to ask to use the bathroom and never go back to class. When he is in class, he daydreams about Kiyoko, were but gonna go into detail about what cause I know this man’s mind is filthy. Tanaka turns in half-ass assignments that consist of, “IDK” “9+10=21″ or doodles.               

Final grade: D+

Daichi: He’s actually really good at paying attention in class. He participates and asks for help when he needs it. All his teachers love him for his maturity and politeness. He’s the type to breakdown and cuss out his teachers in his head when they’re being asses and not explaining assignments correctly.         

Final grade: B+

Asahi: He’s so afraid to ask for help. A lot of teachers confuse him for being an adult. He gets sweaty palms before exams. Suga is always going over assignments with him in the club room. Asahi still manages to pass his exams and gets all excited when he sees he didn’t fail because he was probably had anxiety the whole week just thinking about his score.

Kenma- He’s too consumed with video games and volleyball to take about school. Kenma is really smart but when he isn't interested in something, he’ll completely disregard it. He turns in half-ass assignments with witty responses. Kenma is the type to work on his homework for a good 10 minutes, but then somehow end up on his phone playing among us. He gets in trouble for being on his phone or gameboy during class too many times to count. 

Final grade: C+

Kuroo- We all know his best subject is science. When it comes to other subjects, he's completely stumped. It takes him a while to decipher his homework but he eventually figures it out. Since he’s very observant he usually goes back to what he learned in class. Kuroo really does apply himself in school but being Captain of the volleyball team is also a lot of responsibility but he always manages to pull through when it’s exam time. 

Final grade: B-

Inarizaki-

Suna- Most likely on his phone the whole class, taking pictures of the board so when he’s home he can see what he missed then ends up taking selfies. Very quiet as well. When he does pay attention, he’s always talking to himself in his head, “When is this class over” “This teacher is ass at teaching.” Suna daydreams and doodles on his papers forgetting he has to turn them in at the end of class. Always thinking about how he can make fun of the twins or kite during practice. His teachers are always taking his phone away when he gets caught with it.

Final Grade: C+

Kita- Is adored by his teachers. He’s one to call out a kid for being disruptive during class. He takes a lot of self-care days. I see Kita being into a lot of stationery items and organizing them during class. Always asking questions and getting praised for correct answers. Teammates call him a teacher’s pet but he says otherwise. 

Final Grade: A-

Osamu- Thinking about food during class or just eating during class. He’s been caught multiple times munching on chips in the middle of English class. Also very competitive when it comes to exams, he makes bets with Atsumu to see who scores higher. He gets his work done and turns everything in on time.       

Final grade: B+

Atsumu- Hates when he fails a test. He gives me perfectionist vibes, he's putting time into perfecting each answer for himself but also to beat Osamu score-wise. Probably reading love notes some first-year girl put in his locker in the morning. His teachers confiscate them and read them out to the whole class. 

Final grade: A-

Aran-  Very intelligent. He has to be top of his class. The twins are always bashing him for being a try-hard, but he doesn't even have to try. School just comes naturally for him and he even surprises himself sometimes.

Bokuto- School makes him an emotional rollercoaster. It really sets off his mood swings. He probably yells out of frustration in the of class startling everyone. Bokuto goes to Akaashi for help and reassurance when he’s stressed out. Exams are hell for Akaashi poor him, Bokuto goes over to his house begging for his notes which he studies for 5 minutes then proceeds to ask Akaashi to practice with him completely forgetting exams are tomorrow. He’s actually really smart but he doubts himself a lot. When exam scores come in he’ll probably shout out “HEY HEY HEYY” in the middle of the hallway. 

Final Grade: B-

Akaashi- Always calm and composed during exams. His intuition helps him a lot in school. When he’s in homeroom, Boukto is always barging in asking for help or rants to him while he’s studying. When he goes back to reads his notes when he’s home, he realizes he never got to finish them because he had to stop to comfort Bokuto when broke down crying in his homeroom. This man’s patience is something else.

Oikawa- This bastard is smart asf it’s infuriating. He has it all basically. He’s the type to not even pay attention during class, too busy strategizing plays in his head rather than doing the assignment in front of him. Just like Atsumu, he gets a lot of love letters/confessions which just boost his confidence even more when in class. He manages to finish up his assignment in the last 5 minutes of the class getting every single answer correct. How he does it? Man, I don't fucking know.

Iwaizumi- Mans is stubborn when it comes to schoolwork. He refuses help from Oikawa when he needs it the most. I see him mumbling under his breath when he’s in class when he’s confused. Exams/Tests are hard for him. He manages to do pretty well all by himself because he pushes himself.

Hinata gets a kitten named MOCHI!! But as we all know Kageyama isn’t the best with cats. They normally hate him. Then Hinata invites him over to met Mochi and for some reason mochi loves Kageyama??

So Kageyama starts spending a lot more time over at Hinata’s house and at first Hinata was like, “Yay! I get to see my boyfriend more!” and then he noticed. Kageyama wants to see his cat. (Hinata doesn’t say anything)

Kageyama likes to take naps with Mochi because she curls up next to his head or next to his stomach. (Hinata may of may not have a few pictures of this!)

Hinata tries to get Kageyama’s attention but Kageyama is too busy messing around with Mochi. It makes Hinata feel a little angry...

Hinata: You’re only here to see my cat.

Kageyama: What? No. Don’t be stupid-

Hinata: I’m not being stupid! You’re being stupid!

Kageyama: Am not!

Hinata: Are too!

Hinata tells his sister to keep the cat while Kageyama is over in an attempt to get more attention from his boyfriend.

Kageyama: Where’s Mochi?

Hinata: Uh...around here...somewhere

Kageyama: Oh. Should we go find her?

Hinata: nO

Hinata ends up telling Kageyama that he just wants to cuddle and Kageyama tells him that they can cuddle with the cat too dumbass. Hinata feels very silly for saying it afterwards.

NOW THEY ALL TAKE NAPS TOGETHER WITH MOCHI!!
