Lemme be a self insert for a moment and explain why Brahms and I would get along just fine:

I collect vintage porcelain dolls and have them all over my apartment.

Got kicked out of private school as a kid for behavioral reasons but also because I stole a golf cart and drove it into a ditch after punching a girl and locking her in the pool bathroom. Dont worry she super deserved it.

All through middle and high school i was the “puppet girl” who’d bring my fkn ventriloquist doll to school and carry him around to bother people with. His name was juan pablo and when I ran away from home my dad decided to take it out on my fkn puppet and rip his head and his arms off and drive around to find me to deliver me his corpse. He was also my prom date.

All through school again, I wanted to be artsy and wanted nothing to do with school after I left. I wanted no one to remember me so I took my photos in wigs and costume makeup and when allowed I wore masks. Literally a friend showed me a classmate’s tiktok that was showing my pictures saying “who the fuck is this bitch.”

My little art desk and workspace is literally under the stairs and I have a weird old timey “refrigerator” wooden cabinet where I store my junk in.

Used to live in a garage/basement for years. Once someone called the police on me because they thought I was breaking into the house, but no I lived there.

I make weird lil dioramas out of insects and random junk I find. I love finding weird little figures and dolls to put in my boxes.

I can play pretty much any stringed instrument.

I eat and live like a fucking goblin. Pretty much nocturnal.

Atop the Spire of Deceit, Pure Vanilla Cookie was at his knees on the floor. His whole life had been just a lie? He was nothing more than a puppet to Shadow Milk Cookie? That can’t be right! Unfortunately, though, it was and it was hard to understand let alone process. The jester laughed to himself, finding a twinge of amusement in what was tragedy for his opposite.

“Oh, lighten up, ‘Nilla!” He said, getting down to the other cookie’s level, “Everything about this world is nothing more than an elaborate web of lies! What’s so different about this one, hm?”. Pure Vanilla Cookie put his face in his hands, sinking further onto the cold tile floor. Shadow Milk Cookie scoffed, but their gaze had the tiniest sliver of sympathy, “Seriously? THAT’S all I get outta you!? Come on, you’re acting like a child!” They joined Pure Vanilla Cookie on the floor “Yeah, it hurts, big whoop! But that’s reality for ya, my boy! Cookies lie, cookies destroy, they’re apathetic, they’re lazy, they zip up shut when you ask them to do better, that’s reality.”. That wasn’t getting anywhere, either. Sure, the Beast was right about that, the world would always be packed with cookies that made it no better, but is it always good to think about? Should one really let themselves get caught up in that “elaborate web of lies”?

There was a beat of silence, spare a couple irritated noises from Shadow Milk Cookie. Seriously! Where’s the drama? Where’s the big, explosive reaction? Miseries and tragedies are by far the least comedic genres! All he saw whenever he looked back at the little hero was just… nothing. But also, maybe sometime locked deep away in distant memories, Shadow Milk Cookie felt the same way once upon a time. Even when he was the Fount of Knowledge, it wasn’t easy; cookies turned away from him to believe their little lies, they would even tell those lies to his face, and at one point it felt like his whole existence was a lie. Oh, curse you, emotions! Always getting in the way of the funnies! The jester stood up once more and started to nudge at Pure Vanilla Cookie with his foot, like when you try to move a stubborn house pet out of the way.

“Come on! Do something!” They jeered, continuing with nudging. Finally… there was something! Pure Vanilla Cookie let out a small laugh and reflexively tried to move away. Shadow Milk Cookie found themself grinning again “Oh? What’s so funny, my boy?”, nudge, nudge. Pure Vanilla Cookie laughed again and actually moved. They continued this little game of cat and mouse for a minute, at least it was something!

“Stop it.” Pure Vanilla Cookie finally said, his voice just the tiniest bit lighter, “I’m not in the mood.”. “Not in the mood for what?” Shadow Milk Cookie asked, getting back down on the floor, “Don’t tell me that tickled!”. The beast could see Pure Vanilla Cookie tensing up a little bit and grinned, this was about to get far more fun! “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna play too rough!” He giggled, pouncing on the other cookie and immediately scribbling all over his sides. Pure Vanilla Cookie was caught off guard; “Pa- Phahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Hahaha- s-stop! Quit it!” He laughed, trying to move away from his adversary(to no success). “Maybe not the exact reaction I wanted, but I’ll take what I can get!” The jester sung as Pure Vanilla Cookie kept laughing, “Don’t- hahahaha! Hahahahaha!” He tried to protest “Hahahaha! Hahaha!” He gave up pretty shortly, he was already overcome by the giggles. Shadow Milk Cookie’s grin turned up even wider and started shifting between spots, finding a nice path to travel; first he would climb all the way up Mount Tummy, go through the Great Rib Maze, explore Cave Armpits, and then slide all the way back down to the Side Foothills to start again! It was a game in a way, one that was fun for him but not for Pure Vanilla Cookie. Oh, and of course he had to announce every move!

“Look out, avalanche!” The jester exclaimed, dragging their nimble fingers all the way back down to Pure Vanilla Cookie’s sides. The hero’s voice cracked uncharacteristically, “HahahaHAHAHAA!”, it sounded like a bird that just got the wind knocked out of it. “Ugh, lost again! Maybe I need to retrace my steps?” They said, tracing through the path they had already gone over in the maze. Pure Vanilla Cookie felt like he was losing it! He was wheezing, his voice kept cracking, and this was the hardest he had ever laughed in years! Though, funnily enough, it actually didn’t feel that bad. Sure, his lungs were burning higher than a volcano and his throat was beginning to feel a little dry, but for once he couldn’t think of anything- much less the world-shattering revelation from earlier. Even still, it’s not like he could get much of a word in right now. Shadow Milk Cookie’s hands finally paused, “Aw, don’t tell me you’re already done playing! You look like you’re about to start crying.” They pouted. Pure Vanilla Cookie nodded. “Okay, okay! I’m not going to give you such an undignified end… yet.” They finally got off and let Pure Vanilla Cookie breathe, which he gratefully did.

“Y’know, I may be evil, but I’m not ALL that bad!” Shadow Milk Cookie said after letting the old man catch his breath, of course, “Sure, all of your life was a lie that I constructed… but I didn’t completely ruin it. I let you have some laughs like what I just demonstrated, didn’t I?”. Pure Vanilla Cookie shook his head, but honestly that reminder didn’t hurt as much as it would’ve earlier, a part of his newfound truth felt lighter- like it had really set him free. Besides, that little spark of sympathy didn’t go unnoticed! Truth and deceit are two sides of the same coin, but honestly they weren’t really so different- just not in the way one would think. It isn’t just because one can’t exist without the other, but also because together they were knowledge.

ARE YOU SURE?!: SEVENTH EPISODE

MY IMPRESSIONS

Preface: This is not an analysis post, and honestly, I don’t want to overanalyse their interactions or everything they said and did—many others are already doing that. My intention with this post is simply to share my thoughts on the episodes, my impressions, and perhaps my conclusions.

I’m writing this as I watch the episodes for the second time.

Ah, I don’t want this to end! It feels like these 6 weeks flew by. 

Jungkook feeling hot in a cold place is so me. 

Jimin looks great with his natural hair colour. I like Jimin’s grey hair, but his natural colour will always be superior, especially with the length he had in this episode. 

Jimin and Jungkook trying to remember if Jimin had ever gone snowboarding with Jungkook before is funny because they were really trying to figure out if it was true, but at the same time, it shows just how many things they’ve done together that it’s natural for them to think snowboarding might have been one of them. 

Jungkook’s look of confusion when Jimin said he’d actually gone snowboarding with Jungkook’s friends, without Jungkook, is also funny. But also, Jimin went snowboarding with Jungkook’s friends—without Jungkook? And it's worth noting Jimin said “Jungkook’s friends”, not “our friends”. We know Jimin is close with several, if not all, of the 97-line members, but it’s nice to know they’re close enough to hang out without Jungkook. If Jimin was talking about those friends, of course.

I don’t know, but something tells me Jimin really likes ‘Standing Next to You’. Though I can’t be sure.  I also can’t be sure, but I have a hunch that Jimin really likes the song ‘Hate You’. Just a feeling. 

I don’t think there’s been an episode where I haven’t mentioned that Jungkook’s biggest ship is with food, hahaha. Why is Jimin always looking for Jungkook in supermarkets? Hahahaha. 

Jungkook being a bit baffled about why Jimin was listening to one of his best songs is honestly offensive, hahaha. Jimin’s slightly defensive reply about whether there was a problem with him listening to the song, and Jungkook’s equally defensive response just wanting to know why he was listening to it, is peak Jikook comedy. 

Look, I think every Jikooker out there has said a thousand times that the world needs an official song from Jimin and Jungkook. But seriously, the world needs an official song from Jimin and Jungkook. Their voices blend so well together. Their harmonisation is glorious, and their voices are differently similar—if that makes sense. They really should record a song or even an album together. 

That hotel is incredible. Someone invited me there. I love hearing Jimin and Jungkook speak in satoori. Honestly, that hotel room is amazing. It looks like an apartment. I can’t even imagine how much a night there costs. It’s moments like these that remind me that these guys are millionaires and their agency has loads of money too, haha. 

Of course, Jungkook cut his own hair. Of course, he did. That’s so Jungkook. Jin would be proud too, hahaha. The staff taking photos of Jungkook because he looked cute with his new haircut is just too cute, haha. In the photo the staffer took, Jungkook looked super young! The power of the bowl cut, hahaha. 

Okay but Jimin’s luck… something always seems to happen to him at every location on this show, hahaha. 

Was Jimin really the loser of that game considering he initially wanted to eat the gimbap? Also, when did Jungkook lose a game that he had to take a bite of the gimbap? 

ohh, didn’t Jungkook say in Connecticut that he wanted to play card games when they went to Jeju but they didn’t? Is that why he bought the stack of cards? I choose to believe that’s the reason. 

And then we get to them and their first… bath together. Jungkook started by asking if they were going to bathe there, and Jimin then said they should turn off the camera, which makes sense, but then, did they bathe together? I mean, actually, wash with soap and everything? Interesting. The camera is turned on who knows how many minutes or hours later, and you can see other products or bottles that weren’t there initially, as well as what I presume is a sweater...? After that, it’s just Jimin and Jungkook being Jimin and Jungkook. Those two are hilariously weird in the best possible way. 

Have I ever told you how much I love Jimin’s tattoos? Especially the ones on his back. 

Ah, Jungkook making sure Jimin felt the same cold breeze as him is just too cute. 

Look, I’ve seen a lot of people describe what happened in that bath—or whatever it was—as Jimin and Jungkook matching each other’s freak, but honestly, I’d describe it as men being men. It’s moments like these that remind me they’re just guys, hahaha. Only a guy would put themselves through that kind of torture for no reason. Yes, yes, I know there are supposed benefits to cold baths, but come on, they didn’t really need to do that. 

Okay, so apparently Jimin told Jungkook to hug him once so he could feel how cold it was. My question is, was that necessary? 

THE V! JIMIN’S V LINES! Oh my god. The V, the tattoos, the blonde hair. The man is the complete package. 

Seriously, guys. Men! 

Jungkook’s body is… WOW. He’s got a swimmer’s body. He’s muscular, low on fat, and still looks slim. With a very slim and enviable waist. It’s not fair. The guy has too many attributes already, hahaha. Jimin is a lighter version of Jungkook, but he also has muscles and those V lines—definitely worth mentioning. 

I don’t know if the staff could hear them, but what they “imagined” those guys were saying in the sauna seems pretty accurate, haha. 

Hey, Jimin said when they left the sauna that they should wash up before going to dinner, but didn’t they already do that when they turned off the cameras? I don’t understand.

Jimin and Jungkook suddenly trying to do the ‘Dynamite’ choreography makes total sense. It's Jikook after all.

Going to dinner in your pyjamas is the dream, hahaha. They really have the same sense of humour. They laugh at the tiniest things the other does, and you can tell they genuinely find it funny.

 Jimin and Jungkook basically travelled to three different places just to eat. There’s no better way to spend the agency’s money, hahaha. Good for them.

Something I’m still not sure about is whether Jungkook loved being in Sapporo. I don’t know, it didn’t seem like he mentioned it much in these two episodes. Let’s hope it’s clearer in the last one.

Maybe it’s just my imagination, but did Jimin drop a hint to Jungkook about giving him a massage, or did I put on my tinhat and miss it?

Jimin and Jungkook must be unbearable in private. Seriously, that’s something I’d love to see, them with their friends, without cameras. What are they like?

Okay, so Jimin first said he needed to brush his teeth, and then we see Jungkook with a toothbrush in his mouth saying ‘Come brush my teeth with me’. Did he say that to the camera, I mean, to us? But then suddenly Jimin appears. Where was he, on the floor? Jimin and I share the same level of laziness when it comes to getting something, Hahaha. Taking a photo together while brushing their teeth. Okay. They really kept memories of everything.

Washing up again?! Didn’t they already do that? Twice, apparently?! How could Jungkook forget that in a matter of hours, I’m sure?!

Aww, Jungkook saying goodnight to the cameras is just too cute. They’re such good boys. I remember in the last episode, Jimin mentioned that Jungkook has the ability to annoy people or something like that, and no one knows it better than Jimin. It’s incredible how patient he can be with Jungkook, hahaha. Of course, Jimin isn’t a saint either, because he can also annoy Jungkook at times. They really click.

Jungkook feeling hot in a cold place is so me. He’s my spirit animal, haha. And him looking for something to eat right after waking up is a MOOD.

Okay, but was Jimin fighting with some insect in the bathroom? Hahaha. Jungkook continuing to eat as if nothing’s happening is a mood.

Mmmm, did they shower together again? Interesting. Jungkook’s priority was definitely the food he bought and couldn’t eat.

Was that whole conversation about being excited correct? I mean, the translation, and if it was, why did it seem like they were talking about something else? Why do many of the things they say seem like they’re talking about something different? Why are they like this? Jimin and Jungkook bickering in the sweetest, funniest way has been one of my favourite things about the show.

Model Jimin! Jimin looked particularly stunning in the car on the way to the slopes.

There’s a popular edit of Jimin that says he doesn’t hold or grab things, he hugs them. I think the edit is mainly about Jimin hugging flower bouquets, but I think it applies to everything, including snowboards, hahaha. He’s just too cute.

I think, I think Jungkook was happy about going snowboarding, I think, I’m not entirely sure.

The juxtaposition of Jimin and Jungkook learning to snowboard and ski is just too funny.

It’s good to know Jimin doesn’t discriminate about the ground he falls on, hahaha. Jungkook really just needs a short time to learn something. Honestly, it’s unfair. Jimin is also excellent at picking things up quickly. That also seems unfair.

MY CONCLUSIONS ON THE SEVENTH EPISODE.

I loved it! Not surprisingly.

I know I’ve repeated this a lot, but I love the format of this show. It’s more relaxed. More chill with the vibe and nothing else. It’s much more domestic, more every day in a way. I know I’ve said this a lot in all my posts, but I love how relaxed Jimin and Jungkook are. I love that, even though they were technically working, they were actually relaxing. They were on a proper holiday because it felt like a normal holiday, with no pressure or expectations, just playing, enjoying cool activities, and eating. Eating a lot.

I love and especially appreciate that AYS has shown us a slightly different side of Jimin and Jungkook’s dynamic. More playful and even more every day, I think. It’s lovely to see how comfortable they are with each other, and even though they didn’t go into depth about it and probably won’t in the future, you understand why they chose to enlist together. They really get each other. They’re really similar. And that’s important.

I really love that they managed to do so many things on this show. That they had multiple holidays and, most of all, that they had them in the middle of their busy schedules. I’m glad they had those moments to laugh, enjoy, and just be happy. And I’m glad they created all those memories together.

I can’t wait for the last episode, but at the same time, I don’t want next Thursday to come because it will mean it’s all over and, like them, we’ll only have the memories we made watching them create their own memories.

As a fan, not only of Jikook but of Jimin and Jungkook, I’m infinitely grateful to them for doing this for us. I’m sure they deserve the sky and the stars; it’s the least the sun and the moon deserve, after all.

[flufftober day 31, wc: 1k] - trick or treat! : i saw a ghost! with MC kkura

“THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST UNSERIOUS THING WE’VE DONE,” sakura mutters, pulling the modified bed sheet-turned-ghost costume over your head. you stop her midway so she can see your wide grin, and she only shakes her head fondly at you.

you let the sheet fall down over the rest of your face, and then point to yourself—although your arms are also covered with the sheet, so it just looks like a nub of the ghost is sticking out. “but it fits, kkura, i’m a ghost because i was a ghost, and you’re a ghostbuster! except we’re in love. hey, do you think that counts as forbidden love?”

“no comment,” sakura answers, spinning you around to see the rest of your look. she’s thinking of adding sunglasses, but she’s also afraid you’re gonna fall over because it’s so dark, so… maybe she’ll take it with her just in case.

because of her response (or lack thereof) you start sulking, sometimes sakura chooses not to humor you and it’s annoying. maybe if you died again she would treat you specially again. such a mean lover, but you love her regardless and you know she does too. there were some struggles and certain circumstances before and after you became human again, some that you can’t really explain in detail at the moment.

sakura sees your sulking state and sighs, grabbing the beanie she crocheted for you and fitting it snugly on your head, over the sheet. you hum in approval and kiss her cheek through the costume, effectively growing a blush across her face. “shall we go?”

“this is a rich looking neighborhood,” you note, holding sakura’s hand tightly in yours, the fabric bunching up at your wrist. you’re holding a pumpkin bucket with the other hand. “you should make this on your animal crossing island.”

the girl thinks it over, pursing her lips. “i could, but do i really want to do all of that work?”

you shrug, “you’ve done it before, in your stardew valley farm.”

“touché.”

as expected from a “rich looking neighborhood” the two of you rack up some king-sized candy bars and other trinkets that you don’t really pay attention to, with your unoriginal (but inside joke heavy) costumes. apparently, an old classmate of yours lived in one of the houses you visited and said that the ghost’s voice sounded familiar, so you had to hurry to get out of there.

(“huh,” sooyoung frowns, “you kind of sound familiar, miss ghost. like someone i used to know…”

a bead of sweat forms on both you and sakura’s faces. you chuckle nervously, “what a coincidence, right?”

sooyoung drops two fun sized kit kats into your pumpkin bucket, nodding in suspicion. “happy halloween.”

you two turn back, scurrying off to the sidewalk. “she’s scary,” you whine, nearly tripping over yourself, “she’s always been scary!”)

a dead woman could not trick-or-treat, she could only trick. and haunt. and get resurrected by her human lover. 

some have looked at you weirdly, or did a double-take when they heard your voice behind the costume, but you pay it no mind. people you knew might recognize you, but you’re a changed person, at least different from the y/n they knew. perhaps that is the effect of being a ghost for more than three years. you’re happy now, though, with sakura—you’ve been accepted at her university, your classes are fun and challenging, and you’re planning on majoring in physiology. you’ve also picked poetry back up.

but one thing for sure, one thing you’ll be eternally grateful for: being able to taste honey butter chips again. and going trick-or-treating for the first time in probably ten years.

oh, and also, chaewon lives on this street. the two of you came to her house earlier, ringing the doorbell and expecting regular old chaewon to answer, but you were greeted with yunjin in a striking red wildcats jersey.

(“oh hey kkura-unnie, and y/n—wait, hahahaha! that’s so funny, ‘cause you were, hahaha!” yunjin doubles over, holding her stomach from laughing so hard.

“can i have my candy?” you ask impatiently, holding out the bucket. “what are you supposed to be?”

the american smiles widely, pulling chaewon over who is dressed in a dumb inflatable red blood drop costume. “i’m troy bolton,” she points to herself.

“and i’m hemoglobin!” chaewon finishes, before the embarrassment kicks in and she dumps a whole bag of twix into your bucket. “pretend you never saw that.”

sakura snickers and fidgets with the ghost sucker in her hand. “i can’t promise anything.”)

your bucket is nearly filled to the brim, so you agree to make the next house the last stop of the day before returning to sakura’s car. on the outside, the house has some white and orange fairy lights, with very nicely designed and carved pumpkins on the porch. there’s also a slightly deflated santa inflatable in the back, but you don’t think that’s part of the halloween festivities.

“i’m getting a vibe from this place,” you say as you approach the front door, trying not to spill your candy.

the ghostbuster tilts her head. “what vibes?”

“i don’t know, just vibes.”

you ring the doorbell. and the most familiar face answers the door. 

“oh, are you trick or treating?”

“s… se-seulgi,” you blink rapidly, utterly shocked. the artist raises her eyebrows, then furrows them. 

“y/n…? is that you? oh, my god.”

so yeah, turns out the vibe was the whole best friend that graduated and caused your death of loneliness. fun! no, really—fun, because you haven’t seen her since she left.

the three of you end up chatting for a bit, you and seulgi exchanging sincere apologies and also phone numbers, and you also get to meet her two cats, lulu and lala, who treat you like their love at first sight. 

seulgi ran out of candy (someone stole the entire bowl she set outside) so she offered to draw a portrait of you and sakura in your halloween costumes, which you gladly take. as expected, it turns out like it should belong in a museum. this is definitely getting stuck on the fridge.

“i'll talk to you later, okay?” the artist waves goodbye, patting you on the head (or the top of the beanie) and giving a real, genuine eye smile. 

“later,” you grin.

it turns out later might not come because you may or may not have overdosed on more than 20 packs of smarties.

Destino: Ha, it’s funny really. You’re the ghost therapist here and I’m the one telling you to be honest and communicate. Perhaps you could learn a thing or two from me about how to communicate with another. I’m clearly excelling at it. Maybe if the whole Prime of the Underdark thing doesn’t work out, that’s what I could do next. Be a therapist.

Felix: Des, ya are the least qualified Pokémon ta do somethin’ like that.

Destino: Tauros-shit. It’d be easy. Listen to someone rant about their experiences and then say how awful they are and how they can change.

Felix: Hahaha, it’s far more complicated than that. Besides, ya barely talk ya anyone about how ya feel.

Destino: You think I’m just going to suddenly lay my whole life out in the open for these surface Pokémon? If those random Pokémon that keep following me around could just leave me be, I think I’d be enjoying myself a lot more up here. Why would I ever want to talk to them about private matters if they have nothing to offer?

Felix: I dunno about that.

Destino: One of them ate me. One trapped me in a bubble full of liquid and tried to drown me. One of them shaved off a good chunk of my fur and left me looking ridiculous. They clearly have so much to give.

Felix: Didn’t ya say an arbok told ya ta talk with me? That seems like good advice that he gave ya.

Destino: Considering how weird he was, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was some sort of hallucination caused by one of those Pokémon to get me to like them. The things Pokémon do to make me get on their side. I am an incredibly charming Pokémon so it’s not surprising they would use whatever methods they could to make me like them. The curse of being the most charismatic Pokémon alive.

Felix: Ya gotta admit that ya did provoke those other Pokémon though. That’s why they went through with what they did.

Destino: Are you condoning their actions?

Felix: No, but that’s why I said about pickin’ ya targets when wantin’ ta insult someone.

Destino: And it was good advice. However, have you considered that continuing to push until they react is hilarious?

Felix: There’s a part of me that wants ta hit ya when ya have the urge ta say somethin’ stupid.
