another tiny criticism but the krampus party did not feel like a college party lol like the vortex club end of the world party felt intense it felt dramatic it had stakes - krampus i was like oh this is giving me dead freshers week vibes guys just animate in some more extras please i know you can do it

man i had this whole theory going on where max died in the "living" timeline at the same point that safi died in the "dead" timeline and that was why there was no alternate version of herself and it was some safis trying to save max while max is trying to save safi thing - obviously very wrong but i still vibe with it

To form something of a coherent conclusion: Really solid game, with some great scenes (the end of chapter 2 and start of 3 were def the standouts to me) and (in my opinion at least) really really good development for max - she was so clearly the same max as the original game but also she's grown up and she's grown into herself and ahhh it made me so happy to see!

I found some of the twists more effective than others and I think there could have been more build up to the storm (like in the original lis you KNOW it's coming for so long and there's this feeling of dread throughout whereas it kind of felt like we rushed to get to it here), but overall i had a good time, i really enjoyed getting to know the characters, and most of all, i really enjoyed getting stupidly attached to Max Caulfield again <3

7/10 looking forward to going down the rabbit hole with this one and i guess we'll see where we go next...??

have i ever posted picrew enticing yolk. no i'm not sure i did but even if i did i changed their design a bit so. hello. that's them. color palette is based of eggs in general rather than just. the yolk part. looong flowy wavy hair because i think it looks cool... how do they manage it? they don't. maybe the hair has a mind on its own (it kinda does tbh...)

here on the left we have cherry pie cookie! (she/her) pre!corruption enticing yolk's good friend, somewhat of an advisor and most importantly, almost their lover. cherry pie was one of the many cookies that decided to take some rest in enticing yolk's place and unlike those many cookies, she stayed. helped enticing yolk with the kingdom, kept companion, fell in love... they never got together though. cherry left after enticing yolk started to corrupt, claiming how they aren't the same person she used to know and how they changed. as you can imagine they didn't take it well despite their composure.

on the right! we have egg tart cookie! (she/her) enticing yolk's sidekick and... their creation. enticing yolk created her in some moment of impulsiveness and loneliness. she's a rather cheerful cookie that somehow still stays with enticing yolk, much to their confusion. and it's not like she's not allowed, because from the very beginning, egg tart cookie was allowed to leave if she wished to, despite being the beast's creation.

oh i do wonder why cherry and tartie look kind of similiar to each other. there's absolutely no hidden reason for that and enticing yolk absolutely did not lose it one day to the point of creating their sidekick in the image of their almost lover. i mean what!

From just a writing perspective, I find that despite all of Idolish7's bonkers drama, none of it feels shoved in for the sake of shock value. For all that it's worth, everything from kidnapping to attempted murder to buying off two children feels organic. None of it just feels shoehorned in, and nothing really takes you out of the flow of the messages/narrative it's trying to tell, which is really cool.

Bout a little kiddo who wakes up in a storm and her moms are missing! Goes on a creepy adventure to rescue them! Throw in some cool family drama and a little bit of a heartwarming message and boom! A game.

My eyes are so huge in a dolly way. Im in love with them so much and i get so so many compliments!!! Everybody notices them because theyre literally a defining feature haha

My features look super cohesive together now. Like they all fit together perfectly im sooo happyyy
