Bella Hadid breaks silence on Adidas campaign linked to 1972 Olympics
Bella Hadid has reacted to the controversy surrounding her involvement in an Adidas campaign that has been withdrawn after criticism, Sky News reports.
The American supermodel was the face of a campaign featuring updated trainers from the 1972 Munich Olympics – the games where 11 members of the Israeli team were killed by Palestinian terrorists.
Adidas apologised to the model after reports emerged that Hadid was planning to sue them.
Hadid, whose father is Palestinian, has been a vocal critic of Israel’s actions in Gaza during the war with Hamas, and recently donated $1 million to help Palestinians along with her sister Gigi Hadid.
Now the 27-year-old model has broken her silence, saying she was unaware of the historical context and “would never knowingly participate in any art or work related to a horrific tragedy of any kind.” She wrote on Instagram:
“I am shocked, I am upset, and I am disappointed in the lack of sensitivity that went into this campaign. Had I been made aware, from the bottom of my heart, I would never have participated.”
She said her team and Adidas “should have known” and she should have done more research and “spoken up.” Hadid also added:
“While everyone’s intentions were to make something positive, and bring people together through art, the collective lack of understanding from all parties undermined the process. I do not believe in hate in any form, including antisemitism. That will never waiver, and I stand by that statement to the fullest extent.”
The Munich Massacre
During the 1972 Games, Palestinian terrorists from the militant group Black September infiltrated the Olympic Village and kidnapped members of the Israeli team in what became known as the Munich Massacre.
Eleven members of the Israeli team – five athletes and six coaches, as well as a German police officer and five terrorists – were killed in the incident, which ended in a failed rescue attempt.
The SL 72 campaign attempted to revive the “classic” running shoes first created for Adidas athletes at the Munich Olympics. The adverts, which appeared on Adidas platforms and on a billboard in Times Square, showed Hadid wearing the trainers while holding flowers.
Everyone blamed Adidas
The American Jewish Committee said Adidas used a “rabidly anti-Israel model” for the campaign, which they said “is either a massive omission or deliberately inflammatory.”
Hadid condemned the link between the “liberation of the Palestinian people” and the anti-Semitic attack, saying, “Palestine is not synonymous with terrorism, and this campaign inadvertently emphasised an event that does not reflect who we are.” She also said:
“I am a proud Palestinian woman and there is so much more to our culture than the things that have been equated over the past week. I will forever stand by my people of Palestine while continuing to advocate for a world free of antisemitism. Antisemitism has no place in the liberation of the Palestinian people. I will always stand for peace over violence, any day. Hate has no place here, and I will forever advocate for not only my people, but every person worldwide.”
After pulling the adverts, Adidas said in a statement to Sky’s US partner network NBC News:
“We are conscious that connections have been made to tragic historical events – though these are completely unintentional – and we apologise for any upset or distress caused. As a result, we are revising the remainder of the campaign.”

all about role models⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🧁
FIND ROLE MODELS ;
its important to have people that u look up to. people with similar morals and values as you and people who have achieved things that u want to achieve, or things similar to what u want to achieve.
you can find mentors or role models or, simply look up to people even if u dont know them personally. for example one of my role models is kimora lee simmons. i look up to how effortlessly glamorous she is and how much of an amazing business woman she is, shes also a biracial woman just like me.
find traits in ur role models that u already have, whether thats interests, talents, physical similarities etc.
finding role models helps to give u inspiration. something important to remember though is to emulate, NOT imitate. use their qualities and achievements as motivation to discover and develop your own individuality.
for this post im going to focus on one of my role models, the wizard liz because this is a mindset based post...💬🎀
STUDY THE MINDSET OF UR ROLE MODELS ;
their conception of self ; the wizard liz has high standards for herself because she knows her worth. because of that she won't settle and she doesn't let herself get walked all over.
something that liz has said in her videos before was to be okay with people misunderstanding you. dont go out of ur way to get worked up just bcuz someone sees something in a different way then u do.
her conception of self continued ; in another video she says to "make a list of tough situations that you've handled in the past and what skills you used to handle them". she has a lot of trust and belief in herself and her abilities
after taking notes on the mindset of ur role models (like so) i can see what resonates with me and what doesn't, i can see clearly ways in which we are similar and ways in which we are different.
WHAT ABOUT YOU? ;
take time to formulate ur own opinions. take time to think, "hey what do i think about this" without the influence of others views or opinions what do u think originally. grow comfortable with thinking for yourself.
trust ur gut feelings and intuition
be confident in ur own mind and trust that you have the ability to make the best choices for yourself.
another thing, grow comfortable with asking yourself for advice. something that i realized is that often times when we ask others for advice, we already know what we should do but we wanna hear it from someone else but its important to just ask urself some times.
"what do i rly want" or "what is the best thing for me to do" are things that u should be asking urself instead of asking others. dont let others peer pressure you into thinking the way that they do. THATS NOT TO SAY DONT BE OPEN MINDED, THATS NOT WHAT IM SAYING. but im saying think for urself first.
SOME OF MY ROLE MODELS ;
kimora lee simmons - successful business woman, biracial queen, effortlessly glamorous
beyoncé - passionate about her talents and recognized as one of the best in her industry
wonyoung - smart, beautiful, and unbothered queen
jennie - so talented and radiates major it girl energy
britney spears - popstar queen, her music is AMAZING and her energy is palpable
bella hadid - empathetic beautiful human being who speaks up about things that society wants to be silent about
megan thee stallion - educated queen, such a hard worker, strong even when everyone is against her, talented and confident
paris hilton - used the image that the media portrayed for her to make a profit, marketing and business genius, gorgeous and cunty

“I got the poncho at a street market in Shimla near the Himalayas in northern India when I was living in Kerala for a couple months for work. I believe it was designed in Kashmir. The jorts I thrifted, the shoes are by Wandler, I got them off The Real Real. I’m really inspired by the people I see in New York. Iwent to school in the city, so I’ve lived here for about 5 years now. I’m also inspired by normcore, the style of people like Tupac, A$ap Nast, Alexa Chung, Bella Hadid, Dennis Rodman and brands like Karl Kani, Raf Simons, Peter Do, and Margiela. I think fashion is a reflection of someone, and every piece has a different story to it. It’s what connects us but also separates us from everyone else.”

Hi booky!
Marketing anon here.
So I don’t think whether or not CE is really married is really important at this point (RE: he’s in HW where the majority of relationships…I suspect have strings being pulled in the back).
The fact is that’s the narrative they are going to with and want to sell, so he is just pushing that narrative along. He/they want you to know and think he’s married. I personally believe that’s the important part about all this. But he and others around him are intentionally keeping it vague and I think it’s working to their favor because it plays into the whole privacy thing they were going for.
Saying “my wife is from PT” basically implies he married a woman from PT. That’s not giving anything exact but it’s also implying he married AB, the woman he’s been linked to most recently and she’s from PT. But at the same time, there millions of woman in PT/from PT. Who’s to say he’s not married to one of them, especially if they haven’t come out and said it was with each other? 🤣
So he confirms without actually having to confirm and if I had to make an educated guess, I would say that’s as good as you’re going to get it. Don’t quote me on this though.
I know some team real blogs were saying it’s normal for someone to not say their partner’s name, and that’s true for the most part. Think about how when you meet someone random - and you mention your partner. Do you necessarily say your partner’s name? Probably not, especially if you don’t know the person like that.
The thing is, with CE/AB the plausible deniability and vagueness is a pattern.
It’s not just him once saying my wife in passing, it’s also him not mentioning her for two years, then suddenly mentioning a nameless GF, then eventual nameless wife.
Same goes for her.
“My husband” “my dog” “pictures of the dog but no tags of the husband even tho everyone knows whose dog that is”. Even her trolling best friends do the most and only troll by posting suggestive backgrounds and no direct tags. If you’ve paid attention this entire time it’s very easy to tell there’s a reason they’ve done this for this long. TBH, I had my suspicions at first they were just trying to protect privacy because they hadn’t gone public yet and people were already harassing them. But after they went fully public the same charades continued all the way past the wedding and into the new year? That’s when my suspicions were more or less confirmed - that this was intentional orchestration and some form of strategy. Weird, yes, but not unheard of. In fact, my suspicions are that other celebs have done something similar to this too (re: Leo DiCaprio and Gigi hadid, bill hader and Anna Kendrick). I think in Hollywood there are so many strings being pulled all the time. Nothing is coincidence. Nothing is coincidence in marketing in general. Things are planned out well in advance and I mean this wholeheartedly.
He posted two stories with her and he never says her name out loud (does everyone remember that?), he doesn’t tag her (well she was deactivated, but he doesn’t mention her name in the videos in captions either).
She never refers to him by name and the one time PT reporters tried to talk to her she refused to talk to them. She lets in tags of herself but never anything confirming or alluding to anything directly to him. Notice how before they went public she was letting herself get tagged in basically everything related to their dating rumors and she was keeping all their dating comments in but deleting and untagging others? Now she’s doing the opposite and I feel that may be intentional too. Maybe.
The one time they attend the same premiere - did you notice he didn’t take pics with her? She got her solo pics and then disappeared? She then posts a pic of herself at this premier but doesn’t tag him, the movie, or the cast? Is it ungratefulness or is it strategy? Think about it.
His friends/her friends all post separately from the same place and it’s only this most recent PT sighting he’s in a photo with Joana (weird right?)
You get suggestive follows and likes but no real interactions that can be legitimate.
I believe that’s why TMZ has been acting so shady throughout all of this. I think they know something’s up.
I think everyone knows the big thing at play here is plausible deniability. It always has been.
Wearing wedding rings - ok but anyone can wear a ring TBH? It doesn’t really say too much.
Lastly - in my line of work marketing and PR work the same in some ways but also different. My company puts out press releases (which I help write) when we announce things like winning industry awards, acquisitions, partnerships, rebranding. But we don’t do a ton of really innovative stuff and PR is pretty low maintenance here. So while the methods and processes are the same, I imagine PR in HW is much different, more complex, and more creative (lol). I don’t have any answers for why they do what they do, but I can tell you the vague wording they’ve repeatedly use definitely means something. I don’t think it’s just coincidental.
What I’m trying to get here is that marketing and PR in any industry is going to involve a bit of “fudging the truth and stretching the line to make things seem a certain way to fit a certain narrative. It’s absolutely manipulative when you put it that way but it’s also business. It’s not personal. It’s why I don’t let it get to me and I just let it be. Don’t lose sleep over it. All things will unfold as they should.
Have a great night!

Tyra Banks: The world-famous Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back after a four-year hiatus, and it’s making headlines once again. After years of controversy and introspection, the show’s return marks a bold transformation aimed at reclaiming its place in fashion with a renewed purpose.

In the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has re-emerged, addressing past criticisms while adapting to a new cultural landscape. Here’s everything you need to know about this transformative and much-talked-about event.
Tyra Banks: The Icon Returns to the Runway After 20 Years
In a powerful message posted before the show, Banks expressed her excitement, saying:

“You are… Never too young to SMiZE. Never too old to DREAM. And I hope you’ll be doing both with me tomorrow when I rock that @victoriassecret runway again after almost 20 years!”
She went on to encourage fans to reflect on their own dreams, saying, “As I walk, think about YOUR dreams, what YOU want to accomplish. That thing you’ve been doubting about yourself. That thing you’re not sure you are confident enough to accomplish.” This message struck a chord with viewers and echoed throughout the night, setting the tone for a show focused on inspiration and self-belief.
Banks’ triumphant return was part of a star-studded lineup that included other Victoria’s Secret mainstays, such as Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Gigi Hadid. Together, they embodied the essence of the new Victoria’s Secret brand: beauty that’s empowering, diverse, and inspiring.
A Star-Studded Runway Full of Familiar Faces and New Icons
In addition to Banks, several high-profile models graced the runway, showcasing their own unique styles and personalities. Victoria’s Secret icons like Kate Moss, Behati Prinsloo, Bella Hadid, and Ashley Graham joined the celebration, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to diversity. Each model brought her own story and charisma to the stage, making the event a powerful showcase of beauty in all forms.
Gigi Hadid, who has become a fan favorite, shined brightly as she walked the runway alongside other familiar faces. Victoria’s Secret’s Journey to Reinvent Itself
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, once a mainstay in the world of fashion, was paused in 2019 amid controversies and changing consumer expectations. At the time, the brand faced significant criticism for a lack of inclusivity, sparking discussions on how the brand could evolve in an era where diversity and representation matter more than ever.
One major turning point came in 2018 when Ed Razek, then Chief Marketing Officer for parent company L Brands, made controversial comments about transgender models, which many found exclusionary. The backlash was swift, with consumers calling for greater inclusivity on the runway. This incident, combined with declining sales and shifting cultural attitudes, led Victoria’s Secret to reevaluate its approach.
In response, the brand launched the VS Collective in 2021, introducing a more diverse and inclusive group of brand ambassadors. These ambassadors included actress and entrepreneur Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Brazilian transgender model Valentina Sampaio, and LGBTQIA+ advocate and professional soccer player Megan Rapinoe. The Collective aims to redefine beauty standards by embracing diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities. Victoria’s Secret stated that it wants to inspire customers and align with causes that are meaningful to women everywhere.
The brand also introduced new programs focused on empowering women, creating products that reflect diversity, and producing content that uplifts rather than objectifies. The VS Collective is more than just a marketing tool; it’s a sign that Victoria’s Secret is committed to positive change.

New Rho Under Siege
CW: discussion and a few images of urban conflict some may find disturbing. I've tried to avoid any actual depictions of death however.
The Locked Tomb series receives a lot of gushing praise (quite rightly) for its intricate and complex depictions of relationships and love, sexuality and gender. But something I've seen less praise for (though I'm sure it exists) is the incredibly rich depiction of what an urban environment during warfare and civil strife looks like.
One of the unfortunate facts of urban warfare is that civilians are almost inevitably present, even in the most dire circumstances. Take the Bakhmut as an example. Despite months of fighting, thousands lived on in the city and region right to at least the very closing moments. This is despite the city being essentially entirely destroyed.
👆 civilians still lived through these conditions.
New Rho in Nona the Ninth feels incredibly lived in. The city supposedly contains ~9 million people, and you can believe it. There are all sorts of people, there are different groups and socio-economic areas, people have different responses to the situation they find themselves under, but they all living complex lives. This goes well beyond the key characters or even the side characters, but is captured by the existence of a barter economy, background vigilante and militia groups, the daily grind of workers desperately seeking ad hoc jobs.
They walked alongside all the other workers - the ones who didn't get picked up in the morning in the worker vans, or didn't have a job that merited a worker van, or didn't have a job but lived in hope - and they all trudged slowly through the street in clusters, parting only when a truck ground through, the driver leaning on the horn if someone didn't move out of the way quick enough.
I reckon some of the super fans here could pull out all sorts of fascinating little details in the world building of New Rho to discuss here.
[A civilian woman with a grocery bag walks through a levelled market in Grozny, Checnya during the Chechen War]
The Irish Troubles produced a number of iconic photos showing the dichotomy of urban conflict amongst civilians.
Perhaps one of the best parallels would be life in Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Strip, with a population of >2 million has lived under blockade for many years with frequent intervention/incursion by Israel.
[Aftermath of Israeli strikes in Gaza City, 2021]
One of the interesting parallels with Palestine is the plethora of different actors and resistance groups, just a fractious and secretive as New Rho's Blood of Eden and other militants, and who often seem to spend more time fighting themselves and civilians rather than their main enemy.
The Marxist-Leninist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) gave us the splinter groups PFLP-SC (Special Command), PFLP-GC (General Command), PFLP-EO (Executive Order), Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Popular Revolutionary Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and had complex intertwined relations with groups like the Black September Organisation, Palestinian Liberation Front, Arab Liberation Front, Palestinian National Salvation Front, the Abdul Nidal Organisation, Fatah al-Intifada, Vanguard for the Popular Liberation War - Lightning Forces, and dozens of others. On the Islamist side there is similarly a plethora of groups, from Hamas, to Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Sheikh Omar Hadid Brigade (Islamic State in Gaza), the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, the Army of Islam, and Jund Ansar Allah. It's almost comical to write them out.
New Rho itself is home to many refugees and "re-settled" peoples, which is somewhat reminiscent of Palestinians and the related conflict spilling into Lebanon, Jordan and other neighbouring areas. The complexity and number of groups involved skyrocket.
[Shatila Camp, Lebanon during the War of the Camps]
Rarely is war as simple as "Good Guys vs. Bad Guys" or even "Bad Guys vs. Bad Guys." There is almost always a vast number of interest groups and competing organisations at stake, even in some of the more black and white wars like WW2. Muir just hits this nail right on the head in my opinion.
You could also make similar parallels to the Syrian Civil War, which has an equally complex mix of militants and groups. Despite all of that, of course, life still goes on. School kids still attend school, even in bullet ridden buildings.
These kids are your Hot Sauce and Honesty and Kevin and Beautiful Ruby.
Typically the books I've read depicting a place under siege or at war (at least in sci-fi / fantasy) have a focus on the main characters leading the war effort. There may be issues of water or food shortages, but they're largely somewhat abstract political complications being dealt with by key rulers or the like. Often times war is simply sanitised completely (think Star Wars), or it is portrayed through a military lens, or when it deals with civilians it focuses on the destruction and death of civilian life.
I just found Nona wonderful in depicting the mundanity, the boredom, the regularity of life in a war zone, as well as the sudden shocks of change and turmoil and fear, and then as well the glimpses of joy and pleasure that humans still experience. I'm just really quite blown away by Tamsin Muir, and I wonder if she had a specific conflict as inspiration for her writing here.

i would go to a dedicated rice pudding store #borninthewronglocation
i mean the rice pudding was also really good. why they needed blobject chairs that hung from the ceiling and a whole injection-molded zaha hadid inspired bench in the back, if memory serves, i'm not sure. but if i'm being honest it was also very effectively marketed simply by being so odd. like they did Get Me i bought so much rice pudding there. because i thought it was funny. like i was doing a bit

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Returns: What You Need to Know
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Returns: What You Need to Know After a four-year hiatus, the iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is set to make its grand return on Tuesday in New York City. The show, which was last held in 2018, was discontinued in 2019 due to declining ratings and controversies surrounding the brand. However, following a partial revival with a filmed version for Prime Video last year, Victoria’s Secret is back with a renewed vision. The Evolution of Body Positivity The return of the fashion show comes at a pivotal moment in the body positivity movement, which champions self-acceptance across all body types. While many curvy figures have spent their careers advocating for size-inclusive clothing, the rise of popular weight loss drugs has led some plus-size models to express concerns that the fashion industry is regressing. This year’s show aims to address these concerns and reflect a more inclusive vision of beauty. Past Controversies Victoria’s Secret has faced its share of controversies over the years. A 2020 New York Times investigation revealed allegations of a misogynistic culture within the company. At the time, a spokesperson for L Brands, the former parent company of Victoria’s Secret, stated that they were “intensely focused” on improving corporate governance and compliance practices. Additionally, the brand has been criticized for its lack of inclusivity. In November 2018, then-chief marketing officer Ed Razek faced backlash for stating he did not believe “transsexuals” should be included in the runway show. Since splitting from L Brands in 2021, Victoria’s Secret has made efforts to revamp its image, incorporating more diverse and body-positive models in its campaigns. What’s Different About This Year’s Show? In May, Victoria’s Secret announced its desire to create a show that reflects “who we are today.” The brand’s Instagram post emphasized that the show would combine traditional elements—glamour, runway, wings, and musical entertainment—with a commitment to inclusivity. In August 2023, the company stated, “We have moved from promoting an exclusionary view of what’s sexy to celebrating all women throughout every phase of their lives.” This commitment aims to make Victoria’s Secret an industry leader in retail innovation, fashion, and sustainability. How to Watch This year’s show will take place at the brand’s flagship store in New York City and will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Live. It will also be available to watch on Victoria’s Secret’s social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. ET, but fans can catch the Pink Carpet pre-show, hosted by social media personality Tefi Pessoa and model Olivia Culpo, starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. Who Will Be Walking the Runway? Many of Victoria’s Secret's most famous “angels” are returning for this year’s show, along with some exciting newcomers. Notable models include Gigi Hadid, Mayowa Nicholas, Barbara Palvin, Behati Prinsloo, Jasmine Tookes, Adriana Lima, Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser, and Devyn Garcia. Additionally, Tyra Banks, a former longtime host of “America’s Next Top Model,” will make her runway return for the first time in 20 years. Models have expressed their excitement on social media, with Graham stating, “I am in my late 30s, I just had three children and I am feeling so curvy, so sexy, and my outfit is fire.” Palvin added, “It’s been six years and now we’re back. I’m excited to see all the girls, all the performers, the wings, the sparkles.” Banks shared her enthusiasm, saying, “It feels crazy being back on the Victoria’s Secret runway. I mean, like, ‘cray cray,’ as in ‘cray cray good.’” Who Is Performing? For the first time, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will feature an all-women lineup, headlined by none other than Cher. Victoria’s Secret described her as “the mother of fashion” in an Instagram post last month. Other performers include K-pop sensation Lisa and singer-songwriter Tyla, promising an unforgettable musical experience. Conclusion As the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returns, it aims to redefine beauty standards while embracing inclusivity and diversity. With a star-studded lineup of models and performers, this year’s show is set to be a celebration of all women and their unique journeys. Don’t miss out on this exciting event that promises glamour, empowerment, and a fresh take on what it means to be beautiful. I live in the NYC area and recently received a local newsletter from my neighborhood showing outdoor summer movies in the local public park.
The reason I’m telling you this is bc something kind of interesting happened. One of the movies they were showing this summer is mrs Harris goes to paris.
In the neighborhood newsletter blurb discussing the movie, they mentioned Lesley manville (the star), AB, and then isabelle huppert.
No mention of Lucas Bravo, Jason isaacs, etc.
It was really bizarre to me bc AB being listed as second billing for a random local newsletter makes little sense to me as she was very clearly not the star or even second star. Lucas B technically should be bigger than her as he has a pivotal role in Emily in Paris which is still going on and hasn’t been canceled, and he was just in a romcom hit with George Clooney and Julia roberts last summer. He’s also a professional model and has been on runways and mag spreads this past year alone.
Ab had WN that got canceled and she didn’t even do any interviews for the second season. She has not been in any large endorsements or gotten any super prestigious roles since, but she did go public with a more famous actor.
If anyone is questioning if the PR is working…there’s your answer. Her name is getting out there and the search algorithm for her name is getting more and more out there as well.
Is any of this due to her own talent and success? (LOL)
Or is it more likely the huge PR boost given to her by someone else’s name?
I think the reason some ppl, esp team real, is doubtful about PR bc AB herself is not doing the legwork to put her name out there for more positive professional recognition. Her very actions/inactions seem to point to her hoping that the PR boost will do the work for her.
Many women who started dating more famous men usually had their own careers or would leverage the association to their professional benefit. Examples: Kaia gerber (mother is supermodel Cindy Crawford, boyfriend is Austin butler), Gigi hadid (already famous in her own right) and whatever her thing is with Leo DiCaprio, Hannah Davis (model) and Derek Jeter, Natalie V (works in the industry) and Henry Cavill. You’ll see most of these women have their own personas and social media and continue to do their own thing outside of being connected to famous men. Even if you feel they dated/married up or are opportunists as well, they still have their own thing going on. They didn’t just go into hiding so all ppl will ever think of is that they’re spending all their time following their man around.
By contrast, the dating rumors began for AB and she immediately pivots to “never being seen” unless it’s to let ppl speculate she’s with him.
She gives the vibes of a person who very much hopes the offers will fall into her lap bc she got her name attached to an A lister. She forgot that she is not marketable by herself and has no IT factor so ppl are still not checking for her. Being pretty on a basic level and attending one fashion show does not make you a star.
I know ATP the discussions on this have hit beyond the point of broken record. But I stand by it - she never wanted to work for fame. She wanted it handed to her, and still does. Her little friends JA and his sister also wanted to reap the benefits by association, and really believed all of their statuses would magically elevate due to their “association” with an A lister.
No wonder CE has spent this entire year mentioning the “industry” and what it makes you do. This was a hint, y’all.
This whole "relationship" definitely gets her name out there. WN was successful, but not enough to give her a name in HW or in America.
I think one of the other really good examples of how big of a boost it is for her can be seen on WN's number. So the official People article came out on November 10, 2022, exactly on the day the show's second season debuted. The first season had never been trending before that. Not when it came out, not when they announced the second season. However, after the announcement, not just the second but even the first season started trending, with the first season in 32 countries and the second season in 70. I've seen that a lot of people have said they only started watching the show because they wanted to see who the woman Chris is dating is. And I will also admit that back in, like, January 2022, I also checked the show because I was interested in who she is.
Obviously, I'm not saying those people didn't like WN or that they just watched two seasons because she is dating him. I'm pretty sure there were people who did it because of that, but I'm also pretty sure there were people who liked the show and the characters, but maybe they didn't even know about it before that. WN is not my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it's a bad show. Not at all. But I think the fact that it started trending and that more people started to watch it has to do with their relationship. It has to do a lot, in my opinion.
A lot of Chris fans love them together, support them, and even defend her and their relationship. So yeah, the fact that her name is now connected to his helps her out big time.
It always bugged me that she never really promoted her work. I guess she did a little more when the second season of WN came out, but it wasn't anything special. She also seems reluctant to engage with her fans. They keep tagging her; they write sweet messages for her, but no reaction. Not even a thank-you or anything like that. They were trying so hard to save WN.
I just don't like her or her personality. I mean what we can see from it.
