Sparring sessions with Damian would be the worst. He's constantly mocking you, trying to make you lose your edge. And he's quick too, dancing around any punches or kicks you throw. Even when it's obvious you won't win the spar, he still doesn't take you down. He'll let you keep going. Keep struggling till you're a sweaty and exhausted mess.

That's when he'll pounce. Pins you down to the sparring mats, his body straddling yours. You try to buck him off. He just thrusts his hips back down into yours. The bulge in his sweats pressing against you has the fight in you disappearing like smoke. You look up at him, confused, and he merely smirks back down at you.

"Not going to tap out?"

You do, hand tapping the training mat, even as you stare into his emerald green eyes. You don't think you could look away even if you tried.

"Hm, but I think I've earned my reward, don't you?"

It doesn't really matter what your answer is, does it? He likes it when you struggle, after all.

From the start of the manga, he's been a fabulous person. He's in love with Yona but understands that she is in love with Su-won and respects that. He loves them both and wants them to be happy.

When everything goes to hell, he doesn't want to bring problems with his tribe so he officially leaves it. Stands by Yona but teaches her to stand for herself as well. He believes in her. He wants to protect her but puts his trust in her abilities as well. He's proud of her skills and he's not afraid to brag about her capabilities.

He isn't afraid to show emotions either. While he has a banter with the dragons, he genuinely shows that he considers all of them his friends. He hugs them. He cries and doesn't try to hide it. Doesn't act like a tsundere when feelings are involved. Yes he's a little baffled when Yona returns his feelings but that's normal. I know he does have a temper. But he tries to put his rage at the bottom of his priority list.

Frankly I believe he deserves all the love in the world.

Finally, after 2 days I finished this. There's a LOT going on, I'm gonna put the context under the cut. Also fun fact; I kind of imagined Cherry knows Anya from medical school.

(Side note; the scenery image used is a photo I took years ago that I modified for this)

OKAYYY soooo...as I've been planning this rescue crew - which originally was supposed to just be inspired by MW, NOT characters for the fandom lol - I concluded something that I felt would be kind of interesting story-detail.

Stefan is literally the ONLY more "macho" masculine guy in this crew. Even with the 3 characters I got left to make, 2 are women and the third is Very Gender.

Stefan is also pretty intimidating by default, so I started to think; what if Anya (and Curly) would initially be pretty scared of him, because he reminds them of Jimmy at first glance? because they don't have all the context right away, that shows he's NOTHING like Jimbo.

Given how their first meeting goes in my head, Anya specifically only really learns 3 things about Stefan right away, and has no full context for them:

He's kind of aggressive

He's potentially violent

Somehow could instantly tell she'd been harmed in some way by their current "captain."

What she's unaware of, is that

He's sleep-deprived to hell at that moment due to a very pesky communications fault he spent Ten Damned Hours fixing

He was pretty much ordered to eliminate the threat by Nadiya, (initially just meant to incapacitate him, but because Jimmy insisted on NOT taking responsibility, Stefan had no choice but to kill him, as otherwise he'd probably gotten killed, and his crew would be in danger.)

He's seen that look before, from his mum. He knows painfully well how awful some of his fellow men can be.

So, this comic is kind of symbolic thing about how Anya slowly begins to understand, that there's no "Jimmy" in this ship, no dead pixels. Just a very grumpy, sleep-deprived wolf dad who looks after everyone in his "pack" (I.E the ship), that unfortunately has a pretty mean resting bitch face by default.

I could/maybe will make Curly's P.O.V version at some point too, I just don't have a clear idea for it yet.
