A misc list of headcanons that can double as "the 8 years of peace Welt spent getting to know himself":

Found through long nights of working on animations that he actually found working anything with his hands that didn't require the power of Reason was quite therapeutic and felt more rewarding. Since these were proper creations of his own right, he eventually began taking up drawing more in his free time as well as spent a year relearning how to play piano.

Since all he really knew of his mother was that she was an archeologist and his father had only ever mentioned her "disappearing on an excavation of the suspected ruins of Changkong City", Welt was surprised to find a book on ancient empires across Earth with a number of contributions from her. It quickly became one of his most important possessions.

He hadn't initially been great at cooking for himself, in fact to Tesla and Einstein it was probably a miracle that Welt could even be convinced to sit down to eat even a piece of toast when the next big disaster was perpetually around the corner. That was quickly amended when he adopted the baby Joyce and he actually found it to be one of his favorite things to do.

Speaking of, he's an advocate for the further upgrade and utility of a robotic diaper genie. And air fresheners. Who knew a tiny baby clone could be so stinky?

Was never a big fan of his father's vispipuuro (whipped porridge) and it didn't matter how many generations of Nokianvirtanens it had been passed down to. Though he's not sure if Joyce genuinely likes it or is just being nice to his father about it on the rare occasions he would make it, it's still something Welt planned on teaching him on his next birthday.

Find classical and jazz to be rather soothing to just listen to. Does he feel a bit silly putting on a playlist while sitting in a dim room? Maybe just a bit...

Dec. 9 - What is it like for Carlisle to work as a doctor now versus back when he was alone?

Something was afoot when Carlisle pulled his Mercedes in the garage after work. It had been a day full of treating people with heat exhaustion in the ER, courtesy of the current heat wave making its way across the country. Given that most houses in this part of the country were built to hold in heat, many people were adversely affected. Fortunately, vampires weren't affected by high temperatures like humans were and their resident hybrid seemed to tolerate the heat well too.

But it seemed Emmett and Sydney cooked up a way to cope with the heat anyway. Carlisle caught their scents and heard them sneak up to the garage's side door and there was a curious sloshing noise. He knew he was walking right into something, but in these last seven years, he learned what it meant to truly play like a kid. He opened the door, bracing himself.

"Now!" Emmett shouted and he was promptly soaked to the bone by a pair of water guns. Emmett grinned and Sydney giggled madly while Carlisle wiped water out of his face.

"Hello to you too," he said.

"We're having a water gun fight, Daddy!" Sydney said.

"Are we?"

"Me, the kiddo, Edward, and Rosalie versus you, Esme, Alice, and Jasper," Emmett supplied. "Base camps are in the forest. Be there or be square!" With that, they took off running towards the house.

Carlisle shook his head, but he was grinning. Coming home to this was better than working himself figuratively to death and then coming home to an unbearably silent, empty house. Inside, Carlisle found Esme dressed in a bikini top and shorts sporting a pair of water guns. She handed one to him. "This is yours."

"Did we even have these before today?"

Esme laughed. "No. Emmett took Sydney on what was supposed to be a Home Depot run and came back with these instead."

"You should have known better than to send him on an errand."

Esme playfully swatted him. "Go change. You're dripping on the carpet."

Carlisle did as he was told and when he emerged from the house later with his water gun and dressed in a t-shirt and swim trunks, he heard Sydney in the backyard. He snuck up on her as she was refilling her water gun at the spigot. “Gotcha!” he exclaimed, grabbing her by the waist. 

“Daddy!” she shrieked, dropping her gun. The contents of the gun and the spigot spilled out on the dirt. She rounded on him with her hands on her hips in an almost Esme fashion. “I almost had it filled up! Edward said we shouldn’t waste finite resources.” 

“That’s funny, because he likes to take long hot showers himself,” Carlisle said drily. 

Sydney refilled her gun and shut off the spigot. “Does that make him a hippocampus?” 

Carlisle laughed. “I think you mean hypocrite. And yes, it does.” 

Sydney narrowed her eyes. “He’s on my team so I can’t get him for that.” 

“How about you switch to mine? Then you can.” 

She brightened. “Okay!” She reached out a tiny fist and Carlisle bumped it with his own to seal the deal.

Ribo is finally here!!! Cell's battle hungry "daughter" who came to me in a dream. She was kind of a Bonyu situation, i can't remember which game she debuted in in my dream but she was like a training character that you could learn new moves from but you met with her in the Capsule Corp main building instead of her being a hologram recording.

The name she had in my dream had "Kura" in it, which was all I could remember from it when I woke up and wrote it in my notes. Coincidentally, when i looked it up, kura can mean "dream" "illusion" or "fleeting" (as in a dream) which was so wild to me i decided to keep it as a part of her which is where "Kura Project" comes from :)
