I was playing tears of the kingdom and my brain did a hop skip and a jump.

Human body that climbs everything and everyone. has killed a bot with some really archaic weapon, lord knows what they'll do with an actual gun. doesn't really talk but communicates through grunts and hand gestures.

Buddy is chaos. There is no stopping them from climbing anything they can get their little hands on.

Human Buddy who communicates in grunts, noises and likes to climb with Rodimus Prime, Cyclonus, Nautica, and First Aid

The crew picked Buddy up from a planet’s flea market.

Buddy looked so miserable and malnourished.

The crew members were outraged seeing a human so far out in space and being treated like this.

Some go off in a corner to think of a plan to get the human without buying them.

Buying them will only make the buyer rich and chase more humans.

Whirl was the one who stole them from the buyers after causing a diversion.

For once Magnus didn’t put him in the brig for stealing them

The human didn’t speak like any normal human and was very distrustful of all the bots.

Except Whirl.

With time the human eventually warmed up to the bots, but they never really learned how to talk.

They were just fine with the grunts and noises.

It was a random name generator that picked their name since many bots had already gone to the brig for wanting to name them and others not agreeing.

Buddy was a simple name.

And they seemed to like it.

But there were some habits the bots picked up on.

Buddy loved to climb anything they could get their little hands on.

This caused much distress and amusement amongst the crew.

Buddy becomes the crew’s mascot/ friend/ gremlin that lives on the ship.

Rodimus

Rodimus likes Buddy.

He even set up a little chair for them on the main bridge in case they wanted to sit there.

He put it there after too many times seeing Buddy trying to climb the chair themselves.

And that one time they did manage to get on the seat and Rodimus nearly sat on them.

That’s why Buddy now has their own chair.

Do they use the new?

Yes and No.

They use it when they are on the main bridge for more than 5 minutes.

But they don’t sit on it.

At least correctly.

The amount of times Buddy has sat down on the chair wrong nearly glitches Ultra Magnus’s circuits.

Buddy knows this and likes to get a laugh out of everyone.

Rodimus is the loudest.

But not everything is fun and games.

Rodimus hates it when Buddy uses the vents.

He’s scared they are going to get lost up there like one of those Earth videos of families not finding their gerbil until they had to cut a hole in the wall and find it deceased.

Buddy, obviously, doesn’t listen to him.

Rodimus came back to his room after a meeting with Magnus and Megatron.

Turns on the light.

Buddy is sitting on his berth eating some chips.

“…Buddy?”--Rodimus

Buddy stares at him before running to the vent on the ground.

“HEY! NO, NO, BUDDY WE TALKED ABOUT THIS!”--Rodimus

Buddy makes some mocking noises in the vent.

“I HEARD THAT!”—Rodimus

Cyclonus

Being one of the bots on board that they were slower to warm up to, Cyclonus does find himself looking after them.

He blames Tailgate for planting the idea in his helm.

He lures Buddy in with treats and by being calm.

Buddy warms up to him eventually.

Cyclonus wants to teach Buddy how to talk so they don’t have to rely on noises or grunts like some unintelligent being.

Buddy was intelligent, they just couldn’t talk or write, that’s all.

He tries his best and sees that Buddy does try their best.

Even if they manage to make a letter sound, is plenty accomplishment for both.

“Repeat after me. Hello.”--Cyclonus

Buddy tries to say but huffs instead.

“No, like this. Hello.”--Cyclonus

Buddy starts making noises that sound like a cat hacking on a hairball.

“…Maybe that’s enough lessons for today.”--Cyclonus

Hacking noises increase.

Nautica

Nautica is one of the crew members that got along the fastest with Buddy.

Maybe it was her being friendly and kind to them.

Or it could also be the snacks she secretly gave to them after their meal.

Who knows?

Buddy has a habit of climbing on her when they want something or need to relax.

They do this with certain bots too, but she still feels honored to be chosen for this job.

All she needs to do is acknowledge Buddy, then be still until they reach the top of her helm or neck cables.

Gives them many head pats.

Nautica was talking to Brainstorm about her new wrench.

Buddy walks over and begins to climb her leg.

“EEP! Buddy! You know better to do that without me knowing.”--Nautica

Buddy still keeps on climbing until they reach the top of her helm and just lays there.

“I guess someone wanted some attention?”--Nautica

Buddy huffs but pats her helm.

First Aid

Also, one of the faster members Buddy warmed up to.

But First Aid doesn’t really know why.

He did help Ratchet in making sure they were okay and helped them around the ship, but he didn’t do anything extraordinary for Buddy to like him.

But he is fine with that.

First Aid rather enjoys the company of the smaller human.

He knows Buddy is smart.

One day First Aid came in feeling a bit under the weather and Buddy was making all sorts of gestures and noises to get him out of his desk and to the med slab.

Even trying to carry his digit to the slab.

They knew he wasn’t feeling well and wanted to help, something First Aid found endearing.

However, …

Giving Buddy checkups were 50/50

They could come into the med bay doing everything he said to do and get a treat by the end.

Or…

They would be ‘clawing’ and squirming at everything that came towards them.

First Aid walks into the med bay.

Buddy is sitting on his desk chewing.

“Buddy? Buddy what are you chewing?”—First Aid

Buddy pauses, but then chews faster.

“NO, NO, NO WHAT DO YOU HAVE SPIT IT OUT!” –First Aid

YES!! I HAVE!! i watched it a while ago and have been OBSESSED ever since (i was gonna watch it on cinema but couldn't. i ended up eating sushi in a nice restaurant and even got free dessert, so it wasn't so bad lol)

IT IS SUCH A GOOD MOVIE. we always get the megop bff backstory, but we never get to actually see them interact as friends. their relationship was so pure and innocent. they joked around and trusted each other and got into trouble

many of the funny moments wouldn't be possible without their friendship. they're actually allowed to act like they know each other, without there being some grand scheme in the background!! "i'd turn into a shovel and hit you", "you said you'd never mention that", "If we survive this, i'm going to kill you", etc etc. those are just,,, so irl teenage friendship coded

my main criticism is how fast paced the movie was. i would've liked to see more of megatron's downfall. and i think it would've been better to make the orion "the reason i won't let my friend kill this dictator is because i don't want to lose him" thingy (that's how i read it at least) more obvious to avoid the amount of discourse that came from it lol

i loved to see the little references! tfp's ost, the bots in the background, subtle references to older media, etc etc etc etc!!!!!

i loved LOVEDDD spotting the bots i know in the background. i screamed when i read blurr's name in the race. he should've won, though!!!

AUGH ALSO,, the designs are so good. SO GOOD!! I loved chromia and prowl and jazz and op and meg and elita and

okay most of all, i loved sentinel's. that one is just gold. the wings?? the blue and golden???? perfect, 10/10

i fell in love with this orion pax too (he lowkey reminds me of rodimus/hot rod. add it to the pile of angst!). i just really lke it when they make him a gremlin instead of this serious persona. he's not at war yet!! he can be silly!!!

i have lots to say abt this movie. i liked it a lot and it revived my transformers obsession after years without even hearing about it

This is gonna end up being a long ass post about my very goofy iterations of my blorbos and the unbelievably fucked up version of Cybertron they inhabit, so to spare those of y'all that mostly follow me for the canon tf content, I'll just put all this under the cut

To summarize, wayward sparks is the non-existent tf cartoon I've been Envisioning for a few months that starts off goofy and low-stakes but gets progressively more and more fucked up as it goes. The absolutely BRAINLESS lookin bumblebee I keep posting is supposed to be from this AU, as well as the borderline catgirl skywarp, the really grumpy Optimus, and most of the other tfa-esque redesigns I draw.

The Story

Cybertron's been at war for millennia, everyone's sick and tired of it, especially the Decepticons. They're backed into a corner, being captured and killed left and right, and a loss is just around the corner if they don't do something drastic.

So Megatron does something very drastic indeed.

He steals the Allspark, in a heist that, frankly, should've gotten his entire high command killed (though, very suspiciously, they suffered no casualties and got out unscathed, save for Blitzwing, who clipped a wing), with the intent to ambush the Ark, and finally neutralize the greatest threat to his movement and his people: Optimus Prime. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the Allspark doesn't particularly like being used as a weapon and instead decides to put everyone in timeout on an isolated little backwater planet called earth until they can learn to get along and stop trying to kill each other.

Team Prime (Optimus, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Wheeljack and Prowl) are all WOEFULLY unprepared to be stranded on an alien planet with only each other, Decepticon High Command (Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave, Blitzwing, and Lugnut), and the very strange, very small, and VERY trigger happy humans populating the tiny rural forest town they managed to crash near.

Meanwhile, back on Cybertron, the remaining Decepticons are trying their damnedest to keep hidden, and survive underground, and the Autobots try to figure out what to do while their leader is missing. While the Autobots are left floundering without Optimus, the other active Primes and their followers (Sentinel Prime, Rodimus Prime and Windblade Convoy (yes I know she's not a prime anywhere else but let her girlboss)) try to garner favor with the Senate by picking up the slack, and taking the Decepticon problem into their own hands.

The Autobots

Aka, Optimus Prime's merry band of dysfunctional freaks.

Optimus had to find out the hard way that being a Prime means a direct connection in his mind and spark to an eldritch, incomprehensible god that likes trolling. So now he has to hear Primus in his head at random saying shit that does not make sense. And now that he's in there it's kind of a no takesies backsies situation

While being a Prime is supposed to grant you a degree of divine power, that power is only made manifest through strong dedication to a bot and to a cause. That intense loyalty is also what allows you to handle the connection in the first place. Primes that become disillusioned with their masters have a track record of going completely mad. Unfortunately for Optimus, pretty soon into his career as a prime, the Senator he swore loyalty to disgraced himself hard enough to be sentenced to shadowplay and empurata. Senator Alpha Trion ended up taking him in so he could keep functioning as a prime. It'd be a shame to lose such a talented bot. And with the whole threat of lovecraftian madness looming over his head, he pours his whole spark into following his every order.

Bumblebee is not a Prime, nor is he even particularly religious (even though his boss has a god that's taken up residence in his head) but for reasons nobody can quite seem to decipher, Primus absolutely loves the little gremlin, which manifests as Bumblebee having impossibly good luck.

There's not a situation he can't fling himself into headfirst and wildly intoxicated that he can't come out of with barely a scratch. It's actually given him a pretty warped perception of the war and hardship in general. He really wants everyone to just stop worrying so damn much. Everything always works out in the end, right? So why does everyone gotta be so grouchy all the time? Especially Prowl.

Prowl cannot fucking stand Bumblebee.

This mostly stems from the fact that the little yellow bastard seems 100% intent on making him "happy" and refuses to leave him the fuck alone. Prowl is, to put it bluntly, really fucking depressed. Originally, his function was law enforcement, but he became quickly disillusioned with the job when he realized just how corrupt the Praxus police force really was. When he quit, he felt he lost his purpose, stuck living with nothing to make of himself. Joining the Autobots was supposed to fix him, but even though he's started to turn his life around, he can't say he feels much better. He spends most of his time holed up in his quarters, either maintaining the team's weaponry or just binging old datatrax on teletraan-1.

Oh, and ever since he got to Earth and found out about anime, he's gotten to be a bit of a weeb

Taking care of the team's medical affairs is Ratchet, and even if he wasn't a massive perfectionist he'd have his work cut out for him. His entire team is prone to making stupid, reckless decisions that end in somebody getting disassembled somehow. Their erratic, chaotic behavior makes his processor ache just thinking about it. Unfortunately Ratchet is pretty paranoid, and generally unable to think about anything other than how wrong everything can go all the time.

He typically tries to put forward a very straight laced, very orderly image of himself, but it's a bit difficult to keep up that demeanor when the overthinking spiral takes him. And nobody makes him spiral quite like Wheeljack.

Wheeljack is generally just here to blow shit up and do some Weird Science. Typically this results in Jackie himself getting blown apart with whatever he's trying to explode, but he had a blocker installed for most of his pain sensors ages ago, so he doesn't mind too much. Especially not when there's a top notch medic he loves to annoy that can put him back together when that happens.

And when the good doctor gets completely tired of his shit, he's got his good buddy and lab partner Bulkhead to help him out too.

Bulkhead is a sensitive type, and largely considered to be the voice of reason on the team. Unfortunately, he often has trouble making his voice heard to begin with. He tends to be pretty quiet and really bad at voicing his thoughts, especially when those thoughts are about something that stresses him out. Given he works with Wheeljack, it's a miracle he isn't nonverbal entirely.

He loves his friend, he really does, but it gets frustrating seeing him get blown apart so often Bulkhead worries for his safety because Wheeljack seems to be incapable of worrying about his own. It's pretty easy for him to get caught up in Ratchet's overthinking episodes with his own anxiety until someone snaps them both out of it

How all of them have managed to survive this long, let alone nearly win the war, is anyone's guess.

Whenever your antennas move, he is so focused on them. Sometimes he just does random stuff with you to watch them move around. He likes watching how they move around and how much it adds on to your emotions.

He loves how expressive you can be and how open you are. He appreciates it that you are open to your feelings with him and can't really hide anything even if you really tried too.

He lives for the moments of whenever you get your version of the zoomies. I feel like it would match with how energytic he is at times. I feel like you two could do anything while you are are just off doing obnoxious things

Omg the amount of pranks that y'all two would do. Everyone one the ship would have locks on their doors. Ultra Magnus is honestly fed up with how much Pranks y'all two do but doesn't say much.

Swerve;

Omg he would crack the funniest jokes to see the antennas move around. He also loves making cringey pick up lines to use on you and see the antennas just move around.

Whenever he can, he touches them and think that they are so cool. Sometimes he thinks that he is touching a nice bulls horn whenever he does. He is beyond fascinated by them.

You two being at the Lost Lights Bar would be so chaotic. Of course you two don't drink much since y'all technically own it and need to do something if emergencys break out.

Not as much pranks as others would have thought. Y'all are decently chill but still can turn into little gremlins. It's mostly you though that turns hyper.

He enjoys watching you reck havoc and have so much fun. He likes to bet with a close friend or two on what you will do today. Most of the time he is right or no one is correct and does something completely knew.

Tarn;

He secretly loves how the antennas just can normally move when you aren't doing anything that much. He enjoys observing them and what they do whenever your doing something.

He takes mental notes on what they do whenever your feeling happy, upset etc. He wants to make sure that you are telling your feelings through and through. He cares about you a lot so he kinda just likes whenever your open with him.

Whenever your really hyper or just excited about something, he let's you rant about whatever your currently talking about and just admires you with such a gaze that shows how much he is in love with you.

I feel like it would be a understatement if he didn't enjoy how much the antennas move around whenever you talk about something your interested in. It's a small detail for you but for him, it's cute and adorable.

Spitfire and Aftermath getting transported to a different dimension. I'm not sure which dimension to go with so I'll tell you the half formed thoughts I have for all the ones I did think of. If its tfp they get to have the cyber slayer and they're running around confused and the only people them seem to bother even half listening to is Starscream and Breakdown. If tfa they are just being a huge headache to everybody before Lugnut, Starscream, or someone just kinda of starts lowkey trying to adopt them. I was also thinking of a possible lost light thing where they cause problems for Rodimus specifically.

Regardless of dimension, Starscream somehow always ends up responsible for them and he's sooo salty about it lmfao. He's just been saddled with two gremlins that have way too much freetime and an appetite for destruction that's not easy to direct. He's having a helluva time with impromptu fatherhood

Suggestion:

If you're tagging specific continuities on your Transformers, maybe only tag the relevant continuities? Especially when it comes to characters who are, at best, only superficially similar to previous iterations.

Examples:

G1 Rodimus Prime is going through a severe quarter life crisis and is kinda depressed, especially after being indirectly responsible for Optimus's death. IDW1/MTMTE Rodimus Prime needs ADHD medication and life direction.

Beast Wars and IDW1 Tarantulas is a mad scientist. Earthspark Tarantulas is a sad scientist.

Beast Wars Rattrap is crass and cunning but also loyal and has a strong sense of justice. TFA Rattletrap is a gross rat man (derogatory). IDW1 Rattrap is devious and weirdly loyal to Starscream.

G1 Prowl is helpful and smart. TFA Prowl is ninja Beachcomber. IDW1 is a cruel mastermind or traumatized with anger issues, depending on the writer. IDW2 Prowl is a bit like Gordon Ramsey, patient with newspark Rubble and short tempered with his subordinates.

G1, TFP and Cyberverse Bumblebee is The Youngest™️. TFA Bumblebee is a gremlin. IDW2 Bumblebee is a dad. RID15 and Earthspark Bumblebee is the mid-20s older brother.

Beast Wars Blackarachnia is a cunning scientist. TFA Blackarachnia is actually a renamed Elita-1 and can't succeed at any plans. IDW1 Blackarachnia is a seer??

Beast Wars Cheetor is reckless young adult wanting to prove himself. Cyberverse Cheetor is the goodest purest sunshine boy.

G1 Ultra Magnus is a straight-laced lieutenant. TFA Ultra Magnus is the tired and morally dubious leader of the Autobots. TFP Ultra Magnus is the stiff leader of the Wreckers. IDW1 Ultra Magnus is actually a little guy named Minimus Ambus. WFC Ultra Magnus was oldest friends with Optimus Prime and Megatron.

So pretty please keep your tags relevant! 🙏

Just absolutely showing him off and talking about how much of a good carrier he is.

Imo anyway because Rodimus is Proud and is planning to be the Bestest Of Dads in his opinion (his biased opinion), Megatron's over the moon with the prospect of being a parent (even if there'll be typical pregbabcy snags along the way) (and atypical ones?)

Drift and Ratchet having to go to a family dinner.

I feel like them going to a family dinner consists of Ratchets distant family that he barely sees because they all prefer to be away from each other. They love each other in their own way but it explains Ratchets gruff and grumpy personality.

He cannot stand that Drift calls him the sparkling version of his sire and he hates how Drift psychoanalyzes his and his carriers relationship that consists of shoulder pats and grunts with no optic contact.

Its best for his mental health that he tunes out Drift pointing out how his families dynamic is why he was so adverse to real intimacy and emotional connection.

A visit to Drifts family is a visit to see the wreckers.

The group was so loyal and tight knit with so few members because they were all spark bonded family with Rodimus being Perceptors sparkling much to Ratchets surprise.

He knew Arcee and Springer were conjunx but he didn’t think Perceptor had any sparklings much less Rodimus.

He should have seen it coming but he didn’t make a habit to question the two’s relationship thats now making so much more sense.

Ratchet doesn’t feel awkward with Drifts family at all. Things were a natural chaotic that left him feeling normal. Blurr and Rodimus were gremlins in different ways but they matched each other well. Arcee body slamming Springer and Blurr in a spar was fun to watch too.

But not as much fun as seeing Rodimus kick Drift out of the kitchen because Drift is so bad at cooking fuel he burned down Rodimus’s house.

Drift was pouting pretty hard after that and it didn’t get better for him when Ratchet heard a very familiar voice call Rodimus’s phone asking if Drift snuck into the kitchen like a house cyber kitten.

That made Ratchet laugh incredibly loud and he decided then he couldn’t wait to have another family dinner with Drifts side.

She even took a helicopter alt-mode to look more like him.

Favorite earth creatures are Lobsters and Crabs because they remind her of Whirl

Favorite hobby is scrapbooking. 

Made a special scrapbook for Ultra Magnus as a christmas gift so Magnus can always remember their little adventures

Thinks of all the wreckers as her aunts and uncles (Magnus, Wheeljack, and Bulkhead are her favorites)

Very protective of Whirl. Will kick you if you speak ill of her mother.

Generally a sweet and well behaved child, but she is still 100% a mini whirl. If you activate gremlin mode be prepared to suffer the consequences.

High energy chatterbox!!!!! Can and will run circles around you while she info-dumps about lobsters/crabs or her favorite movie (Jim Henson’s Labyrinth)

Favorite human is Raf because he plays roblox with her the most

I still firmly headcanon that part of why Rodimus was protective of the Rodpod was that it was a joke gift from Drift.

After Drift was exiled, and with the chance the Lost Light might be taken from Rodimus as well after he confessed the truth, the Rodpod could've been all Rodimus had left of Drift's presence. I can kind of imagine Drift to be the kind of guy to jokingly pretend to buy a ship that looks like his friend's head for a quest, just to get a reaction before showing him the real one he bought. Drift does have those gremlin tendencies moments here and there.

I have issues with sticking to canon when it comes to a character’s personality and actions.

Like, whenever I try to write a character in a fanfic, I look over at the source and realize: they wouldn’t do/say that.

As someone who has issues picking up social cues and personalities from other people, this is quite painful.

And like I have to keep doubting myself-

like for example: this scene I wrote as part of one shots I’ve written for TFFL (under the cut so people don’t have to scroll through a long ass post)

The footsteps echoing in the medbay caught Ratchet’s attention, making his antenna quiver for a slight second from the vibrations. He lowered his datapads and turned to look at who entered the medbay.

It was Optimus Prime. His conjunx. Ratchet couldn’t help but soften his gaze at the Prime.

“Good morning Optimus.” Ratchet said before looking around and looking up at Optimus, “Where are Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Smokescreen, Mirage, and Rodimus?”

Optimus smiled, “They’re out racing. After the whole…” Optimus’s smile faltered, almost fading away, at this, but he composed himself and continued, “situation… they haven’t really been leaving each other’s sides.”

“I can understand.” Ratchet sighed.

He also felt the same way. His conjunx, Optimus, and three of his sparklings, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, and Rodimus, had all died… but thank Primus for bringing them back to life. But Ratchet couldn’t help but feel scared. What if this happened again? His audial fins lowered at this.

“Is something wrong Ratchet?” Optimus looked at Ratchet with a concerned expression on his faceplate.

Ratchet paused, then shook his head, “No… I’m fine.”

He didn’t want to bother Optimus with his worries. Optimus had too much on his plate already, and Ratchet felt like he would just be a burden.

Optimus knew that Ratchet wasn’t saying the truth, but this time, he let it slide. He knew Ratchet was still dealing with the whole… death situation.

Ratchet turned his focus back onto his datapads. But when he heard Optimus leaving, he couldn’t help but say:

“Please… stay. Don’t go.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and like, I believe that’s a beautiful work of writing, it’s hampered by the fact that I don’t know if Ratchet would actually act like this.

and this problem is really impacting my motivation…

Ima give this to you tumblr beings (humans, creatures, supernatural beings, gremlins, bananas, orbs of light, whatever you consider yourself as) to evaluate, cause I know a lot of you are pretty much filled with wisdom.

How darling their lovely little Rodimus is. It's no wonder of Galvatron's obsession with him.

Scourge will put no name to his initial jealousy- he'd come around to the same conclusion with time, after all, and really, Rodimus was very charming in his own way.

"Then take a nap, little dear, and perhaps we'll get you a snack when you awaken." ..if the Sweeps didn't eat them first, little gremlins.

This is a less fleshed-out idea, but I really want some kind of post-canon scene between Smokescreen and Jack where they maybe drive out into the middle of nowhere for a while and end up having a conversation along the lines of "hey so uh I guess we both nearly touched the Matrix of Leadership and were uniquely considered worthy of holding it, at least temporarily, by someone we admired and respected, someone wise and holy, but he's gone now and so is it, and is that better or worse, how are we feeling about that, are we living up to those expectations, are we even still supposed to, were we even divinely special after all, how are we feeling about all that, where do we go from here"

It just seems like there's some untapped parallels between Jack nearly walking out at the start of the series in favor of retaining a normal life, only to be convinced that not everybody is meant for that, and maybe having that confirmed in a big way with being given the key to Vector Sigma, vs. Smokey, who came on to the scene 100% sure he was meant for some bigger destiny, and then ended up turning down the biggest proof of that possible, but maybe never fully let go of the ideal. They have similar values and desires but different approaches to responsibility and decision-making.

There's mixed feelings to be had about the war ending being obviously objectively good, but not knowing yet what to do or how to define themselves without it. Sure, that's definitely something all of Team Prime can relate to to some extent, but it's a different flavor for these two specifically because a) they're very young; b) the war and their role in it was maybe the first, or at least definitely the most significant, thing to give them a special purpose and drive ("this is what I'm meant for/what I'm good at/where I'm helpful and liked/what I can see myself doing with my future/this means something") -- and like, sure, not everything is over, they'll more than likely be needed somewhere for rebuilding and planetary relations and whatnot, but it's not on the same level of urgency/gravity/glamour; c) the aforementioned Affirmation Of The God Bauble.

Plus I just really liked their friendship and would love more exploration of it. Maybe they're aimless for now, but maybe having someone who really gets exactly what they're feeling (especially if they worry about some of these thoughts being taken as selfish/disrespectful/immature/blasphemous if they were to open up to anyone else), and who also is willing to be persuaded that it's okay to sometimes discard living up to some grand ideal of responsibility and heroism in favor of Indulging In Silly Teenage Bullshit, might help them find a new normal. Maybe feeling like a hero can be found more in several little day-by-day actions than in the one big money shot that saves the whole universe, and maybe another big part of what they were missing in their lives before this all began was just having bros to let loose with.
