I actually really like this band in general, they make rap / hiphop mixed with celtic music from Brittany, which I love. They're from the 90s and I always loved their vibe. This song is about a celtic tribe fighting and losing said fight.

Another cool song is this one, and parts of the video were filmed in my hometown, like 5 minutes away from where I lived at some point, so that's fun

Thanks a lot to everyone who's been following me through this journey. 2023 was one of the worst year of my life but also one of the best weirdly so let's hope 2024 will be better for everyone ♥

1/ The Moonlight/Moonwood Tales concept : Based on the lore that came with the werewolves pack, I imagined a story that would explain everything between the werewolves, vampires and spellcasters. I actually prepared a plan for season 1 ... Maybe I'll post it next year ?

7/ The Ghostface DH3 edits : It's a reference to DH3 and Scream of course; the plot will be a tribute to Wes Craven actually !

8/ The Melodia musical video part : it actually was awesome and fun to create but it took me an entire month just for this little video. I decided to stick to a more boring regular way to post this story. I also don't have a lot of readers so far so I guess they will forgive me. I still see it as one of my biggest achievement here though so check it if you can ^^ I love how the episode turns into a musical movie

9/ @windbrook's Slashed Challenge : it was one of my favourite CAS challenge of all time ^^ I'm a huge slasher fan ! It was perfect for simblreen and people created awesome characters and stories !

10/ A makeover of the Three Sages that comes with Realm of Magic : Ana Mae is actually an original OCs, they all should appear in DH4 and 5 ... Morgyn should be very important in DH4 actually ...

My OCs' singing voices

I love singing! It's been a passion of mine since I was very little. To the point where the first career I can remember saying I wanted when I grew up was 'singer'

Soooo why not combine two things I love?

Gonna be basing voice types not on how GOOD their voices sound, only on their range.

Also gonna be using some terminology not everyone'll be familiar with

But here's some basic charts when it comes to range

About the most average singing voice you can imagine. Not great, but not bad.

Irina

Irina is absolutely terrible at singing. Just god awful. She can hit all the high notes…they just don't sound good. Never quite the right key, either. When she sings, she sounds like someone purposefully trying to make fun of the very art.

She has absolutely 0 natural talent for singing.

She's honestly INCREDIBLY embarrassed of just how bad her singing voice is and refuses to sing any time EVER.

She actually has quite a bit of natural talent for singing. She's just never had a chance for anyone to find out. And she thinks that having a vibrato to her voice despite never having TRIED to learn how to do it isn't that strange. But again, she has no frame of reference.

Her voice is very light and airy— absolutely no weight in it, so while she can sigh high, she can't sing loud.

Decease Brother Returning Home AU?

(I need a better title for this AU 😓)

Okay...ever since the Epic: The Musical, The ITHACA SAGA has released. It had given me SO much sad and angsty thoughts for my COD OCs. In a different AU.

Hear me out. If you remember in Tiala's bio and even Kanoa's bio about losing their Older brother who went on a mission and had suddenly passed from that. Which it broke the two very much. Mostly to Tiala. As you can see, this older brother is named Hōne and he is like the closest brother that Tiala had ever been with.

These two had always have their fun time together when she was little before he went into the Marines. He usually come and visit from time to time just to see his little sister. But when Tiala JUST turned 16. Waiting excitingly for her brother's return. She had received a very sad news about Hōne's passing from the mission. It had broke her SO much that she doesn't want to celebrate her birthday any more.

So in THAT case. I have put a LOTS of thoughts for this kind of AU. An AU that Hōne has been alive the whole time and had return home after 20 years (yes. I'm following the year reference of what this song had said.). And I want to show you of THIS part of the song that got me eyeballing when I think about it.

From the Ithaca Saga, the song called "I Can't Help But Wonder", this part have given me such...saddened (not in a BAD way) thoughts of how Hōne saw his little sister again.

So, in this part instead of saying "SON" just imagined hi saying "SISTER". So when Hōne had finally returned back home. And the first person that he wanted to see is his sister. And once seeing her standing there. He would be very much surprised to see her so grown up. From a 12 year old (that was when Hōne went on that mission) to a grown adult woman. Imagining the tears coming out of his eyes to see her and how much pain he has for missing out to see that little girl to be a great female soldier.

But it's not convincing for Tiala to believe that he's ACTUALLY is that brother who she thought was dead LONG time ago. But after Hōne had convinced to her that he really is him. Imagined that Hōne said (like in that song), "My sister I am HOME!" Instead of "My son I'm finally HOME!" Just to be clear!

And these two had got into each other's embrace. Tiala crying in tears with joy as she finally had her brother back once more. Hōne also met his other siblings and his parents again.

Such a lovely family reunion! 🥲

And oh! ANOTHER thought for Hōne in this AU! After meeting his family again, he had felt that there is ONE person that he would like to get to know again. Which is Alana. The General was there to meet with the Toa family until she ended up seeing someone who she thought was gone. Her lost soldier. Had found his way back home again.

Which THIS part of this same song:

THIS part had gotten my heart so soft of thinking about Alana talking with Hōne. To be honest, she was in shocked and a bit nervous. For how many years that she's been carrying that guilt ever since she lost him. The same kind of guilt she has with her old comrades. Not being able to get out to assist him.

Hōne can see that pain from his old friend. And he try reassuring her that his disappearance is not her fault. The two had talked it out and hugged each other as the old soldier of hers had lifted her heavy guilt up. And now they're both in good terms before Alana let Hōne go see his family.

MY GOOOOOOOOSH! THIS AU IS GONNA KILL ME WHEN I'M ABOUT TO WRITE IT! 😭😭😭

Hello! I decided to take a crack at redesigning one of the oldest ocs I have!

Echo was a self-insert Undertale oc I originally made eight years ago. Looking back on it, I was just starting to come out of a... not so great time in my life and having a fandom to get really into that wasn't horror was very good for my mental health (and sleep schedule).

The original concept behind her was human (me) dies and is turned into a monster through ~*magic*~. While her design isn't bad, it doesn't match Undertale's character design or me, so I wanted to give her another shot.

Design Process Below:

First things first, she's not going to look like an angel anymore. It feels very 'the first character you make in DnD is an elf and they're graceful and nmnmnm'. Having her concept be that she's a human who dies and is resurrected was a great opportunity to make them a ghost who possesses a robot like MTT or MMM.

Inspirations:

Instead of Echo being a sexy anime robot like MTT, I wanted to take inspiration from some of my interests both then and now.

MTT (obviously) and some au variations like US! Napstabot

Prophet and Prototype from One Shot. While I don't think I've ever mentioned how much I liked this game to anyone in 2016, but I LOVED this game. Honestly, it still holds up and the soundtrack is great to write essays to. The original Echo was actually partially inspired by Alula from that game, and I wanted to bring some of that love back for the redesign.

That one Dj from Deltarune Ch 2 was also an inspiration. Combined with Prophet and Prototype, they really helped me draw and emote the digital camera inspired face.

I wanted to challenge myself and show my growth as an artist by emoting something without most of a face. I also really like photography and wanted to bring some of that in.

Pieces I wanted to keep from original Echo's design:

The one eye

The use of wings- this isn't direct, but I wanted to use some moth shape language in their head with the antennae and hair as a small call back to the angel theme of the original

The name- She's an Echo of the human she used to be

Echo flowers- They like stories, videos, music, etc. While I didn't keep the single echo flower in the hair, I wanted to include this element in the ghost design

The almost monochromatic color scheme- While tinted by the mirror, 2016 has a very blue color scheme. I decided to throw the rich aesthetic blues out the window and go with a neon green color palette. She's passionate and can be a little annoying at times but it's never malicious. They lose at hide and seek every time.

Things that I wanted to include but don't have a clean category for:

The segments of their chest look like autopsy scars

The combination of one eye and potentially four arms is just so fitting. ADHD nah not me who's that never heard of it

Why I chose green: I would either be a kindness or patience soul and green has just kind of become 'my color' as the years have gone by for haha name pun reasons so they get to look like the outside of a watermelon

I imagine them as pretty short like somewhere in the Frisk range maybe a little shorter. It just makes the big hair and hovering more fun, like maybe she uses them to be taller when getting serious or to hover over puddles.

Its either shorts or cargo pants there is no in between and the jacket is more formal looking to reflect the fact that she is an adult despite their height.

I'll go with four things I'm most passionate about if you don't mind 😌

Let's see...

1) Role-playing in general and D&D in particular has to be the first one. Escapism and fantasies are literally my salvation, and D&D plays a huge part in my life.

Creating characters and telling stories through them together with my friends is a kind of therapy for me. I lovelovelove my OCs!!

I've always been a role-player (even a theater kid a little bit). I absolutely loved silly play-pretend games in kindergarten, was obsessed with text role-playing games in middle and high school, and I adore TTRPGs now. I can't imagine my existence without them!

2) Video games! I'm a huge fan of CRPGs and ARPGs, I also like playing visual novels from time to time.

I like The Sims franchise, of course. The second installment introduced me to the world of PC gaming.

However, my absolute favorites are Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchisees, they'll always have a special place in my heart. Dragon Age: Origins was the first RPG I ever played. Instantly fell in love with it! This one literally shaped my taste in games. And oh, despite all the drama around Bioware, I'm so hyped about the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard!

Then there's Owlcat with their Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. Love 'em! And, of course, I can't forget about almighty Larian with their Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Baldur's Gate 3!!! These games, stories, and characters help me stay sane in this crazy world 🫠

3) Dark stuff and goth aesthetic. Yeah, I know there are lots of sub-genres out there. But I'm talking about the vibes in general, you know? I love all these macabre little things, be it makeup, clothes, architecture, music, etc.

The little me had been a hidden baby bat since forever. Although I didn't have the courage to show my real nature at that time.

4) Editing videos. Yeah, when my schoolmates learned how to draw pictures or play sports, I was trying to create little music videos using my favorite TV shows.

Once Upon A Time and a vidder by the name of KatrinDepp inspired me to thread this rocky path of mastering Sony Vegas. Then, a couple of years later, I switched to creating GMVs (game music videos).

I still have a semi-active YouTube channel for that. Even though nowadays I have a lot less time and inspiration to edit videos, I still like this hobby of mine.

Here are also some honorable mentions: I love cats, they are my favorite animals, 110%. I'm fascinated by magic and supernatural. My guilty pleasure is reading creepy stories and watching videos about ghosts. I also like writing my own stories and even have my own little fictional universe I'm totally normal about!

The only thing I am able to think of as my eyes scatter across the room of popular faces is "the amount of talent in this room is enough to swallow me whole". I’m overwhelmed with anxiety and I can't seem to remember how I was ever able to suppress it. I'm finding it increasingly hard to hide behind my extrovert persona, the one that is a lie, a huge lie in fact.

 I realized I had been lost in my head when the sound of loud clapping brought me back to the real world. I barely catch the very end of Hoseok's speech, something along the lines of "Thank you for supporting me", and "enjoy the food and music" then he gives a bow and walks down the stairs where he is immediately pulled into conversation. Oh, I can't even imagine the anxiety he must be feeling. I could simply stick to a corner and hide in the shadows, whereas he has to socialize with everyone out of obligation.

Socializing. For some reason I forgot that I'd have to do that. I've been able to avoid it thus-far having arrived minutes before the actual album started playing. Now, everywhere I looked someone was talking to someone else. I realized I couldn't just stand here alone forever. I examine the room for someone I know, even better someone I have interviewed because I'll take any familiarity I can at this point. This whole ordeal is making me question my job because how am I able to meet celebrities on the daily, and here I am stressing about having to socialize at a party.

I was too in my head again, so I didn't realize someone had been calling my name until I felt a few taps on my shoulder. When I turn around, I was met with no other than Jessi, thank god. We have met on more than one occasion, and she has a weird ability of making people extremely comfortable, something I am immensely thankful for right now.

"Yaz!" She pulls me into a hug. It actually does well to soothe me. "I didn't know you were coming."

"I didn't know either," I pulled back from the hug with a gentle smile. "Actually, I was kind of surprised."

"Why, are you and J-hope not close?" she questioned.

"I mean, I had him on the show and we got on really well. We've also messaged a lot, too." I know I sound hesitant speaking, as if I'm not sure of the words I am saying. It is kind of hard to believe that Hoseok would want a friendship with me of all people, let alone be close.

"Oh, he definitely adores you, we even talked about you once," she has a sparkle in her eye as she talks and for some reason, I feel obliged to believe her. "Also, he was one of the best episodes on your show by far."

She is right about that. It has been my most viewed interview by a pretty wide margin. Part of me knows it’s due to the fact that he is J-hope of BTS, obviously, but it was also such a good video. All my interviews follow a simple formula. I bring the guest on and we engage in whatever activity they enjoy, in Hoseok’s case dancing. It brings a different level of intimacy that you can’t get from simply sitting across from one another and reading questions from a card. The conversation always flows naturally, and it’s all so genuine. On top of that, even I can admit that Hoseok and I just clicked. Our personalities complimented each other well. So much that we even continued to develop our relationship through messaging, and now I am attending his album release party which is a very important step in his solo career. Maybe we are closer than I allowed myself to believe.

“Yeah, it was pretty great actually.” I could see her eyes light up at my slight self-indulgence. Maybe I should give myself more credit.

We both turn our heads at the call of Jessi’s name from across the room. She gives me another smile and hug and tells me that she’ll find me later. I am left alone again but it’s not as bad as before. The anxiety has decreased significantly, which made my apparent hunger more noticeable. Hoseok did say to enjoy the food so I might as well. The snack table was filled with delicious finger food. As I was reaching my hand to grab a bite of some expensive looking cheese on a toothpick someone called my name. I turned around to find none other than Hoseok’s bright smile.

“So, I see you made it!” He pulled me into a hug. Not the ‘barely touch you because this is a little uncomfortable hug”, but a “I feel like we’ve known each other for years hug’.

“Hoseok, you’re incredible. The album is amazing, the release party is amazing, your outfit is amazing!” We pulled away from the hug and I could see a feint blush on his cheeks hidden well in the dimly lit room. “I’m serious, you may be the coolest person I know.”

“Yahhh, you’re boosting my ego too much.” He said while smiling shyly.

“You also may be the humblest person I know so I actually don’t think that is possible.” He smiled at me again and I swear I saw a glimpse of the actual sun in him.

“Do you know anyone here?”

“A few people, mostly through the grapevine.” He could sense my hesitancy right away, I could tell.          

“Come, I’ll introduce you to my friends.” He said as he gestured to the general direction behind him where his so-called friends were. Knowing him, his friends could be some ultra-famous idols that have better things to do than interacting with me. I could slowly feel the anxiety creep back up my spine, and my heartbeat slowly increased.

“I don’t really want to be a bother,” he looked down at me with squinted eyes and a tilted head. “I promise it’s okay, I like being alone and these appetizers are calling my name.”

He chuckled at me in disbelief, as if that was an insane thing to say in a room full of celebrities. I guess you could say a part of me is forgetting that they are just normal people too, so I shouldn’t be feeling this intimidated by them. At the same time, I’ve seen celebrities get starstruck over other celebrities, so they really aren’t just normal people and I am going to tell myself that my feelings are valid.

“C’mon, you’re never a bother. You’re my friend and I want my friends to meet you” he said reassuringly. I guess that answers my earlier internal debate. After 2 seconds of contemplation, I let myself believe him, and I signaled for him to lead the way. He lit up and tugged on my wrist so I could follow him.

I don’t know who I was expecting him to introduce me to, but for some reason his members stupidly did not come to mind. Three of the seven members of BTS were sitting on the stage together, and their heads all turned to Hoseok and I as we approached them. Despite all my inner turmoil, I take pride in my ability to pretend that I am confident and unfazed by everything. That is how I’ve done so well in my career while dealing with anxiety, but as the three idols studied us as we approached them, I could tell that mainting my persona would be more difficult than usual. I know them of course, because who doesn’t these days, but seeing them in person simply beats videos and pictures. They really were beautiful men.

“Yazmine this is Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook. Guys this is Yazmine.” Hoseok introduced while gesturing to each of them.

“Hi guys its so great to meet you.” I said with a smile. Jungkook and Taehyung who were sitting raised themselves up to give me a bow as well as Jimin who was already standing as I shook my hands at them. “Oh! there’s no need for that we can be casual.”

“Sorry, it’s a habit,” Jimin said with a smile. “After all these years it feels kind of strange not to be formal.”

“That’s how I feel except opposite. Getting used to being formal was a challenge and I sometimes still forget the strict customs.” I explained.

“Sorry if this comes across as rude but you’re not Korean? You’re Korean is really good!” Taehyung questioned.

“It’s not rude at all! I am half Korean from my mom and my dad is middle eastern,” as I was explaining, someone summoned Hoseok over to them and he gave my arm a firm squeeze in parting as he nodded to his members insinuating his departure. “I was raised in the US till age 12 and I’ve been back and forth since then.” I explained as they nodded in understanding. It was endearing how intently they were listening to me, and for some reason I felt oddly at ease with the three. My eyes wandered over to Jungkook’s as I finished my explanation, and as they met he quicky looked away.

“Your interview with Hobi Hyung was amazing by the way,” Jimin said. In the moment I don’t think I even processed that Park Jimin watches my show, I’d have to do that later. “The idea is so new and exciting. I hope that you’ll invite me once I start my solo schedule.” There was a sly smirk on his face. I wondered if it would be inappropriate to tell him I would probably jump off a bus if he asked me to, but I decided to keep that to myself in the end.

“I’ll see what I could do.” I joked back. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone new approaching us and I turned my head to find Seokjin. I was now surrounded by four members of the group and I am surprised I’ve held my composure for this long.

“Hello,” he says timidly with a subtle bow. “Sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to say bye to these three. I’m Jin.”

Just when I thought these men couldn’t get any better, he introduces himself as if I wouldn’t already know who he is. I gave a bow back and smiled at his humility, “I’m Yazmine, it’s nice to meet you.”

“Hey Jungkook, this must be exciting for you.” At the mention of the youngest members name, I turned to look at him and caught his wide eyes and small headshake towards Jin that I was clearly not meant to see as his eyes shifted to me. “He loves your videos. One time he made me watch three episodes of your trying new things series.”

“Hyung!” Jungkook cried out. Obviously I was not supposed to be filled in on this information, but my heart couldn’t help but beat a little faster at this new discovery.

“Oh, did he now?” I questioned with a smirk. Jungkook’s face twinged a subtle pink that was barely noticeable in the dimly lit room, but noticeable, nonetheless.

“Oh yeah, Jungkookie is always sending us clips from your videos,” Jimin teased. Taehyung started nodding his head enthusiastically and decided he also wanted to join in on teasing the youngest.

“You should have seen his reaction when he found out Hobi Hyung was making an appearance, he was so jeal-”

            “Okay that’s enough.” Jungkook interrupted with an annoyed expression. Despite how much I was enjoying this, I also felt a little bad for him, and I’m sure he’s been at the center of their teasing all these years.

            “Well, I really appreciate the support, and it means a lot coming from you especially.” I reassured him. He gave me a shy small in return.

            “Well it was nice to meet you Yazmine, I am sure we’ll run into each other again,” Jin said with a warm smile. “Before I leave Hobi wants a picture with all of us.” He said while gesturing to the other members. They all nodded in agreement.

            As they all turned to follow Jin, Jimin turned to me and nudged my arm with his. “Don’t go too far, we’ll be back soon.”

“I’ll be here.” I reassured. I definitely wasn’t comfortable enough to talk with anyone else here, and their welcoming energy was definitely more than enough for me. Jimin and Taehyung followed Jin, while I noticed Jungkook lingering a bit. I could tell he had something on his mind that he wanted to say.

            “Isn’t it a bit early for Jin to be leaving?” I questioned. This was my best attempt at making him comfortable enough to tell me what was on his mind.

            “This isn’t really Jin Hyungs scene, he doesn’t really know many people and he gets nervous meeting them too.” Jungkook explained. I almost did not catch the end of what he was saying because I was too distracted by his eyes. They really do sparkle just like everyone says.

            “Wow, if that’s how Jin feels then I really am hopeless.” I said in shock. If a literal bts member was having trouble socializing, I was doomed.

            “Not completely hopeless, you have us now.” He said with the most endearing smile I have ever seen. There was also something about how he said “You have us now”, as if he was insinuating that I would be in their lives longer than just a casual conversation at a party. I know it’s probably my delusion speaking, but it’s a nice thought to comfort me.  “By the way I really do enjoy your videos a lot. I guess it’s kinda embarrassingly obvious now that I am a fan.” He said with a little more confidence while referring to the teasing from his Hyungs.

            “If it makes you feel better, I have 3 older brothers, so I know how it feels. Also, I am slightly embarrassed because of how many stupid things you’ve probably seen me do. It’s actually all coming back now.” I laughed. I started internally second guessing every decision I made for my videos because Jeon fucking Jungkook watches them, and I pray that he has not seen the bird calling video.

            “What, like the bird calling video?” He says with a chuckle. This is not happening right now.

            “I am actually going to ignore what you just said for mental health reasons.” He lets out a boyish laugh at that and I swear I’ve never heard something more adorable in my life. I would honestly embarrass myself 100 times over if it meant that I could make him laugh.

            We both turn our heads at the call of his name and see the members waving him over for the pictures.

            “I’m sorry I don’t want to leave you alone…” He says hesitantly.

            “No, don’t worry about it,” I said. “I’ll just be here trying not to embarrass myself.”

            “I won’t take long so we can be embarrassing together.” He said in a teasing tone. My eyes couldn’t help but widen. I’m either crazy, or he just flirted with me. I could hear his giggle as he turned to walk away while I stood there stunned. The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy as I watched him join the others. Seeing them interact with each other was so special. They looked so happy and comfortable. It was hard not to be slightly envious of their relationship. I can’t remember the last time I had a connection like that with someone, and I could tell it was rare. My eyes naturally wander over to Jungkook as he wrapped his arm around Hoseok. I could see his eyes glistening even from here with joy and contempt. His eyes meet mine and I find myself unable to look away even though I know I’ve been caught staring. His eyes crinkle at the corners as we look at each other, waiting to see who will break eye contact first. My gaze wanders across his nose and cheeks as my face heats up. I force my eyes to meet his one final time and I turn away with a light feeling looming over me.

TONIGHT, SHE'S SATISFIED Joy x oc! Kang Jieun

Note: English it's not my first language. Hope u enjoy it!

Joy pushed the gate, stepping into the familiar and cozy place she knew so well. The smell of the grass brought back memories of her childhood, fun times with her friends, and especially of her.

Her smile widened as she reached the back of the house and found Jieun with her back turned, engrossed in the screen in front of her, probably working on another one of her artworks.

In the background, a calm song played that Joy couldn't recognize, but she knew it was bossa nova. It's a typical habit of Jieun, who is simply in love with the genre and loves to paint while listening to it.

She approached quietly from behind, wrapping her arms around Jieun's waist and resting her head on her shoulder blade. Jieun gave a slight jump at the surprise but soon recognized that touch.

"You're still going to give me a heart attack, you know?" Jieun laughed, tilting her neck back to try to look at Joy.

"It's not my fault you're so inattentive." Joy lifted her head, smiling innocently.

Jieun laughed, detaching herself from the embrace to return to her work. "You're lucky I didn't smear the drawing."

"She's so threatening! I'm so scared." Joy mocked, going to sit at the nearby table covered with some materials.

"Don't cry later, Park Sooyoung." Jieun raised an eyebrow with a mischievous smile.

"Kang Jieun!" Joy exclaimed indignantly. "Anyone who sees that angelic face of yours wouldn't imagine the atrocities you say."

"I didn't say anything too bad, idiot." Jieun went to the table to get more paint.

Joy rolled her eyes, pretending to be irritated, just putting on a show to get attention.

Jieun looked at her, letting out a muffled laugh at how she maintained her posture even though she was clearly acting.

"Hey, are you mad?" Jieun asked, still not giving it much importance. Joy crossed her arms, staring ahead as if she hadn't heard.

Jieun held back her laughter, finishing putting the paints on her palette before setting it aside to give this sulky woman what she wanted.

"Aren't you going to talk to me?" Jieun gently opened Joy's legs, standing between them. She took the opportunity to admire the beauty in front of her; the dress Joy was wearing was perfect and very revealing, simply perfect. "I love it when you wear more revealing clothes. You look so beautiful!" She rested her hand on Joy's thighs, caressing them.

"You're perfect, Sooyoung. Sometimes I touch you just to make sure you're real." She leaned in closer, making her breath warm Joy's neck, sending shivers down her spine.

Joy looked at the touch, doing everything to keep her face expressionless, but it was getting difficult.

"You're such a scoundrel!" Joy laughed, giving her a playful slap on the shoulder.

"My only crime is loving you too much." Jieun smiled, kissing Joy's cheek before pulling back to look into her eyes.

"If only you just loved me, that would be fine." Joy said sarcastically. Jieun laughed, biting her lip.

"This again? You know you're the only one in my heart." She wet her lips, smiling as charmingly as possible.

Sooyoung laughed, tilting her head as if she didn't believe it.

"You can't complain too much, and you know it. Do I need to explain?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Low blow." Joy said, adjusting her posture, her hands running up Jieun's arms until they reached her muscular shoulders. "But I love you anyway." She squeezed Jieun's shoulders, making her sigh contentedly.

"No, you don't." Jieun denied, giving her a kiss on the forehead now covered by bangs. "What brings you to Jeju? I thought you wouldn't come so soon."

"I'm filming a music video for my solo." She smiled proudly. "I wanted to film here to show a bit of my childhood."

"You chose a great place. It's beautiful here and suits you." Jieun smiled. "Is that why you cut your bangs?"

"Yes! Do you like it?" Joy struck a pose, showing off.

"I love it; you look even more beautiful." Jieun wet her lips, raising her hand to cup Joy's cheek.

Joy smiled, her eyes shining with love and her heart racing with every inch that brought them closer until their lips touched, sending a shiver through her body.

Jieun's kiss acted like serotonin in her body, flooding her entire system and bringing instant good mood. No matter how bad her day had been, as soon as she felt Jieun's lips on hers, all the stress vanished.

"I need to finish my painting." Jieun said between kisses, trying to catch her breath, but Joy didn't seem to hear.

She was so wrapped up in her feelings and thoughts that she just murmured, pulling Jieun closer, deepening the kiss.

Jieun had to take action as she was running out of air, losing all concentration.

"I want more!" Sooyoung pouted adorably, trying to pull Jieun back.

"I need to breathe a little." Jieun laughed softly, pulling away. "And I also need to finish my portrait, so..." She gave Joy a peck, grabbing the palette again and heading towards the canvas.

Joy sighed in frustration but decided to accept her defeat. She could never compete with a work of art, and besides, the quicker Jieun finished, the more time they would have together afterward.

"Whose portrait is this?" She asked to pass the time.

"A VIP client who's having a birthday tomorrow. Is it looking good?"

"Everything you paint is beautiful." Joy smiled lovingly. "But who is this VIP client? Do I know her? Is she one of your girls?" She asked nonchalantly, but deep down, she wanted to hear a negative answer to the last question.

Jieun laughed at her obvious desperation. "I've told you a million times that I don't have other girls and that you're the only one in my heart."

"You're such a scoundrel, Jieun. I can't believe you." Joy denied, nervously biting her lower lip. "I've seen you with several girls in clubs and more private places."

"That's not my problem." Jieun shrugged. "I've never lied to you, Sooyoung, and just because I hang out with several girls doesn't mean I'm involved with them."

"And I don't even have the right to be jealous, right? We have nothing." Saying that hurt her heart, but it was what Jieun always said when they were together.

"You can feel whatever you want, but it's unnecessary. You're the only one in my heart." She repeated with a smile.

Joy rolled her eyes, hating herself for feeling those damn butterflies in her stomach. She didn't like believing what Jieun said; from the first time they got together, she felt it was nothing more than sexual attraction, and that hurt her in a way. Even loving Jieun and having these casual encounters for 7 months, she couldn't fully give in for fear of getting hurt.

A FEW MOMENTS LATER

Sooyoung took a deep breath, loving the affection she was receiving. A cliché romance movie played on the TV, just so they wouldn't be in complete silence, but neither of them was paying attention.

Jieun was reading a book of poems, oscillating between running her fingers through Joy's hair and giving her kisses on the head, as Joy lay on her chest.

"I'm bored." Joy huffed, sitting up.

"Aren't you enjoying your cliché movie?" Jieun teased, still reading her book.

"Don't you like cliché things?" Joy retorted with another question.

"I find it pathetic." She admitted, making Joy let out a nasal laugh.

"That's strange because you're very cliché!" Jieun's face contorted in distaste, and Joy burst into laughter.

"I've never been so offended in my 29 years of life." Jieun laughed lightly, turning a page of her book.

"You like bossa nova and French songs, you're a painter, you love poems and you have ready-made phrases for your scoundrelism ways. That's so cliché!" Joy laughed.

"Scoundrelism?" Jieun set the book aside to pay more attention to the conversation.

"Yes! You're the most scoundrel person I've ever met." Joy straddled Jieun's hips, who rested her hands on Joy's beautiful thighs.

Seeing Joy wearing just one of her shirts was a mesmerizing sight.

"I really don't understand why you call me scoundrel." Jieun said, curious.

"Because you say I'm the only one, but you say that to everyone, and don't even try to deny it." Joy smiled proudly, pointing an accusing finger at her.

"You're right. In fact, you can leave because my other woman will be here soon." Jieun raised an eyebrow with a provocative smile, receiving a slap on the shoulder in response.

"Idiot!" Joy rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "You're not serious, right?"

"Of course not!" Jieun laughed at her irritated look, receiving another slap. "Stop hitting me!"

"You deserve it!" Joy laughed, running a hand through her hair to straighten it.

"Are you staying the night?" Jieun asked gently, running her fingers over Joy's bare skin.

"No. I need to be whole and ready for tomorrow." Joy shook her head, smiling softly at the intimate touch.

"We don't need to do anything if you don't want to." Jieun replied calmly.

"Then why do you want me to stay?" She asked, confused.

Jieun laughed, already expecting this kind of question. “I enjoy your company and your presence, sooyoung.”

"Even without sex?" She seemed genuinely surprised.

"Even without sex." Jieun smiled sweetly.

"Really?" Joy tucked her hair behind her ear shyly.

Jieun nodded affirmatively. "I'm really shocked by the way you see me."

"What do you mean?" Joy laughed, confused.

"You think I only like you for sex. Do you really believe I only see you as a sexual object?"

Sooyoung stayed silent, shifting uncomfortably. She did believe that, but she didn't want to admit it.

"Okay, I get it." Jieun laughed lightly. "But know that I genuinely love just being with you, and since our time is limited, I want to spend every second by your side."

"I'm sorry. I'm just afraid of getting hurt."

"I would never hurt you, Sooyoung." Jieun shook her head, looking deeply into her eyes.

She felt a lot of truth in those words, but still, something inside her made her hesitant. For some reason, she couldn't fully trust Jieun.

"Cliché!" She joked to hide that bad feeling, making Jieun laugh.

"I don't mind being cliché with you." Jieun pulled her down, hugging her tightly.

Joy laughed, burying her face in Jieun's neck. She took in the moment, not caring about her thoughts and insecurities. Jieun was there, giving her love, and that was what mattered now.

Ko-Fi Challenge - 2024, the Year of Solarpunk!

[This post is intended for the Ko-Fi January 2024 challenge. However, I receive an error message every time I try to post this blog on Ko-Fi so I am uploading it here instead. I therefore don't know if I will quality for the challenge since I cannot get my posts to work, but it's worth a shot].

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a great start to the year!

I have decided to dip my toes into the Ko-Fi January challenge and let everyone know about my plans for this year. Really, I only have one plan – Do something small every day to make the world a better place. But I plan to go about doing this in a big way.

The last several years have been extremely troubling with a lot of catastrophic Global crises happening on a daily basis. It's all around us and it feels inescapable. People are tired of the constant flood of bad news, they're tired of doomscrolling and they're tired of the deluge of films that portray some different flavour of the apocalypse. Even us artists can't escape into our art for comfort anymore because of the constant spectre of AI technology threatening to make our work obsolete. The future looks very grim and a lot of people are not looking forward to the year ahead.

That's where "Solarpunk" comes in.

Solarpunk offers an alternative to all of the doom and gloom and presents the idea of a bright future in the face of cataclysm. It is a movement both political and artistic designed to reignite our souls and excite imaginations with ideas rooted in science and observation of the world around us. Even if it is utopian, it's a utopia grounded in what is realistically achievable and the current tools we have at our disposal to succeed.

Now you know what Solarpunk is, here is where my art comes into all of this and what I am planning for the year ahead.

Flowerpunk.

The first and most important project I want to launch this year is Flowerpunk.

Flowerpunk is my webcomic that I have been developing since 2020. Taking place in a universe where magic has been reduced to nothing more than a commodity, the magic itself is starting to decay, causing the soul of the world itself to become sick. It is up to a group of punks and outcasts to take back the magic and heal the world of this rot.

For those who haven't seen it yet, I put up a trailer for the webcomic on Webtoon, Tapas and GlobalComix. Please check it out!

These first 9 chapters follow two main characters, Kimi and Ludwig. Kimi is a gentle soul who has a thing for pastel colours and Ludwig is a rebel with a burning spirit and big hopes.

They both have a pretty terrible taste in music as well!

A lot of work has already gone into this project. I have most of the world-building done, there's a whole myriad of magical creatures featuring in this universe and the first part of chapter 1 is only 11 panels away from completion.

Furthermore, Flowerpunk is an IP under a CC BY-NC licence, meaning that you can legally use my characters and creature designs for anything that is not monetised provided that credit is given.

"This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator. Credit must be given to the creator. Only noncommercial uses of the work are permitted."

To give some examples of what you can do:

~ Make derivative versions of my work (writing, art, AUs, etc...).

~ Make OCs from my species, or use them for your own stories removed from the original universe as long as the work remains non-commercial.

~ Use my creatures or character likeness for RP characters or in DnD/tabletop campaigns.

~ Using my work for any educational purposes (such as copying a drawing for an art study).

I want this project not just to tell a story of radical hope, but to also encourage the creativity of others and their own storytelling projects based in this universe.

But that's not all! Once Flowerpunk launches, this will lead me onto the next part of my plan which is...

Merch.

I would love to launch some new merch to help support Flowerpunk's development, including stickers, pins and most importantly, motivational posters. This image below is the kind of thing I am aiming for:

These posters will also be used on social media to help inspire people to take action and fight for a better world. And speaking of social media...

Social Media, TikTok and Twitch.

I plan to start Twitch streaming my process later in the year and I may even consider inviting guests to do chats and interviews with. This is inspired by the time I appeared on a LumiRue Twitch stream back in March of 2022 and the extremely productive conversation we had about art and activism. I also have shorter videos planned for my TikTok discussing a variety of topics, including Solarpunk (obviously), my webcomic universe, autism and disability and much more!

Recently, I created a Solarpunk feed for Bluesky and I plan to continue contributing more positive news and ideas to this feed. The feed consists of art, videos, book recommendation, games, real-world projects (such as re-wilding projects) and much, much more! The feed has seen a great success so far and I want to continue using it to spread positivity. I may even start inviting people to add their own contributions to the feed!

In Conclusion.

Despite the challenges we face this year, I feel like it's going to be a good one moving forward. There is a lot to look forward to and a lot of cool stuff on the way!

Also, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the people who have supported me here on Ko-Fi over the years, it really means a lot to me and has helped so much. Even small donations make a huge difference, especially in times like these when things have become so precarious for artists.

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends?

Since he became a star, he knows a lot of people and he enjoys the popularity and attention. He loves hanging out with people and making connections. However, he's very careful about inviting more people to his close close friends circle.

🎮 VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER — what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies?

Besides making music and everything related to that, he likes to play videogames (he's not very good at it, though, but that doesn't mean he's not having a good time). 

He likes playing board games with his family such as Monopoly, but he gets really competitive and would do anything to destroy others. Also, earlier today I was thinking about how he'd totally have DnD sessions with his friends. I don't know much about DnD but from what I do know, I can imagine their friend group having great time with that.

Does partying count as a hobby? I don't know, I'm not a party person. But Tyler is, and he really loves being around people and celebrating whatever is there to celebrate.

💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

This isn't really a story fact but originally way back in 2016-17, Tyler was supposed to be a closeted bi cis man…who would really pass a lot like just a straight guy. Yeah. I don't know. Look, it helped me alongside my own discovery journey, even though the idea of straight passing Tyler now makes me laugh uncomfortably 😂 Not too long after that, I figured he would be out and proud and loud. As for the gender, I genuinely wouldn't be able to tell you how we ditched it, I don't know, it just so happened one day that it felt right that they're 🤷‍♀️ about gender and pronouns and all that.

Speaking of that, and I know I've said this before a few times but I'll just mention it again, yes he's very 🤷‍♀️ about gender and pronouns and gendered terms, but when it comes to family names, it's just masc terms. Husband, dad, brother etc, never anything else.

And this one I'm not sure if I've ever said, I don't think I have but it's probably obvious, Tyler is autistic and ADHD. His huge special interest is 80s rock music, he's literally a walking encyclopedia of that era, you would think he lived it but no. He should have a degree in this area, tbh, he knows even the most obscure details.

Any advice in making a character

Oh, I`ve got so many, I actually had to restrain myself))

Be self-indulgent! This is the most important thing to do. If any of my further tips conflicts for you personally with this one - this must always win! The main purpose of your character is for you to have fun, to get a voice, to be able to talk about whatever is important to you! Pay no attention whatsoever to people accusing you of making Mary Sue or Bella Swan. It is ok to learn, make mistakes, make characters, that will make you cringe in a few years.

Make as much moodboards as you need! 5 pinterest boards for 1 character is ok, even great! Don't hesitate to make a full moodboard for their home, even if you are planning like 1 short scene in the house.

Moodboards are good not only for pictures! Feel free to add quotes, that remind you of your OC, make playlists for them, go to your favorite clothing online catalog and pick, what would they buy from it! I for example have a thing for scents and I make perfume moodboards for characters (just helps me to feel them better). I use Miro for multimedia moodboards, highly recommend it.

Try starting your character as an 'archetype'. What I like to do is to go to this page and take a test from a perspective of my character The results often help me understand, how would my character react to different people and manage different situations. There are different personality tests, you can use. I believe, this one is the most well known, but I find my first option more helping in writing.

Character 'growth' is not obliged to be something positive. Your character can always become a worse person and it is still a growth.

'Play' with your character constantly! Even if you made them for one short text - ask yourself questions about them every now and them! Would they pick the same type of cheese as you? What was their favorite music genre, when they were 10? And now? What was the most awkward date, they ever had? Dont be shy, use writing promts to come up with little stories about them. This all will give you an indepth understanding of your character.

One of my favorite games to play with my characters is '3 interviews'. I imagine my character taking part in: 1. a talk with a psychologist 2. a cross-examination in court 3. an interview with a journalist. These are 3 situations, that motivate the same person speak on very different topics and relive different emotions. So I like to just examine their behavior. You will be surprised, how many ideas this little game adds to your character.

Don't be shy to ask others to tell you about your character. Request little stories or headcannons about them. The goal here is not to have the same perspective on your OC as your friends do. The goal is to understand, how others see them and which detail (and why) work good or bad for you. There are some authors out there, that take requests and commissions for others OCs.

It is ok to make your characters look like an average person and it is absolutely ok to make them look incredibly beautiful. Don't force yourself to change anything in your OC just because their partner is very good-looking, or because some said to you, that such a beautiful person has no place in this fandom.

Give your OC friends, hobbies, interests outside their job and love-life. Please. You will be surprised, how useful it is to keep this emotional hideout for your character.

Killing your OCs parents is not the only way to make them move out of their parents house. (don't worry, I myself have 2 OCs, whose parents are dead).

Making your OC kill someone is not the end of your OC. Your readers wont start hating them.

The more power your character has - the less freedom they get. Life of a queen is planned to the minute, life of a peasant - endless pool of possibilities))

Watch video essays where therapists talk about different characters in popular culture! There are so many ideas, you can get there for your character. My favorite channel is cinema therapy they have so many wholesome, funny, serious vid on this topic!

By the way, never be afraid to borrow some ideas.

Wanna see a trick? Ok, I'll describe briefly a character to you and you will try to guess, who am I talking about. So our guy, a middle-aged man, lives in a depressing gray world, full of violence and indifference. He loses his job and escapes his constant suffering in fantasies, where he is famous, has his own show on TV, the audience loves him and even his favorite late night show host applauds him. But these are only his fantasies, when in reality nobody care about him except for his senior mom, who genuinely loves her son. Youre thinking something like "Arthur Fleck" or "Joker"? Well, I've just described you Rupert Pupkin, the main character of 1982 American comedy "The king of Comedy", which had a great impact on 2019 film Joker.

My message here: it is not bad to revisit your favorite stories and characters and let them form your OC.

Abandoning one OC and moving on to the next is not a betrayal. Having multiple OCs for one fandom is not an inability to concentrate. Your brain produces many ideas - it is ok to give yourself creative space.

Self insert can be fun and interesting. Just don't forget, that you are not obliged to insert yourself in one and only character - you can always give your thoughts and traits to multiple characters in the story!

Your character needs flaws, not because it is a shame to write somebody perfect. They need flaws, because that will actually help them navigate through their lives.

3. What is their reasoning behind their killing(s)?

"It was getting really troublesome. There's just so much a person can let slide; ya, know?"

Jayden's reasoning behind his actions is whatever causes the least problems while solving the main issue. If that happens to turn out to be killing somebody he's not oppossed to doing it.

7. If they hadn't been put in Milgram would they have continued killing?

"No, it's stupid to make something like that a daily thing if one doesn't have to."

9. How would their prisoner outfit change depending on their verdict?

"Changing your clothes just because of how people view you is stupid."

If he was voted Innocent his clothes would get more dishelved and he'd outwardly seem irritable. However, his hair would still be well maintained and he'd appear well kept outside of the state of his slovenly attire.

His mindset would frankly be,

"Fuck trying to make these prison clothes look nice. I don't want to even be here."

So, it wouldn't be because he was actively changing his clothes to display that but simply because he wouldn't really care or be interested. If he were voted guilty his clothes would be more well kept but not really change aesthetically and he'd seem a lot more calm. Regadless of how many times he were voted guilty or how restrained he was.

Police, criminality, vilification, ostracization, surveiling, self-policing, and interrogations (in a this isn't my first rodeo type of way).

Jayden is in the same Milgram James is in. So they'd continue to interract well off each other.

(The journal ammounting to literally multiple pages about discussing everything great about his victim and how he'd certainly do it again and she's a god to him. As ephemeral in memory as she was in life.

"They tried really hard didn't they. They tried really hard and still... How about you try now? Try really hard to keep breathing for as long as you can. After all you were the one who had fun watching people struggle in vain first. So, keep having fun."

For work purposes yes. For personal reasons no.

9. How would their prisoner outfit change depending on their verdict?

If she's innocent, she'd have a very preppy outfit underneath her prisoner uniform. Kind of like that of a bubbly college student. She's the sort to order clothes simply because she's bored and not because she genuinely plans to wear them. They just look cute in the moment, and she can imagine wearing them. She'd request clothing catalogs to the prison first thing and have a laundry list of clothes on order.

Other prisoners can find her trying on clothes in her prison cell as if modeling for herself regularly and she will invite people to watch and ask for their opinion on the outfits.

If guilty, the color pallete of the clothing she chooses would be different and more muted, leaning into pastels instead of bright colors. Yet, it'd still be noticeably preppy. She would, however, start accessorizing with jewelry, and it would probably be the first time anyone noticed she had piercing simply because she wasn't wearing earrings before.

Revenge, fairness, games, collective responsibility.

She'd be in the same Milgram as Luna, which is downright hilarious given what incited her crime. She would bother Luna to regularly watch her try on clothes simply because she's an actress, and Celia believes she has good taste because of that. Luna keeps telling her actresses have stylists for that, and she rarely picks out what she's going to wear. Yet, Celia just ignores it. It's heavily implied she has another personal reason for bothering her, and the topic of boys keeps coming up.

All kind of art: painting, collage, sculpting, music, you name it (though he can't sing to save his life).

He occasionally drinks (mainly beer), essentially during parties. He also smokes some weed now and then. As for tobacco, he only smokes it when Mal (that is, Malcolm Landgraab) offers him a cigarette, but he doesn't like it.

He's gay/greysexual. As for his gender, he defines it as "Gender? Don't know her". What he means is: gender is not something he understands and doesn't see why he should label himself; he still mainly uses he/him pronouns, as it's what everyone uses for him, but he can easily use feminine pronouns/words to talk about himself.

💚 GREEN HEART — does your oc prefer being inside or outside?

Depends. He loves being in his own bedroom/garage (well, Mila's garage, where he moved in after he entered uni), but he also likes to spend time outside, essentially in the woods.

🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE — when is your oc’s birthday? how old are they? what are their sun, moon, & rising signs (if known)? what about their tarot card, ruling planet, & ruling number (if known)? do they fit the typical traits of these sun, moon, & rising signs?

His birthday is January 13th. At this point in the "story" he's around 20/21? Sun: Capricorn (with Mercury in Sagittarius) -> pessimism could be is middle name, but he's also loyal, hard-working if the thing interest him, that is), very imaginative (he's an artist), and a perfectionist Moon: Libra -> he has great difficulties to make decisions and depends on others to make them for him (what is SO not Libra Moon though: conflict; he loves conflict - though, not with his close ones. And he is very conflicted himself) Rising sign: Pisces -> Once again: very artistic and can't make decisions to save his life. I actually choose a date, time & place of birth randomly (I just knew he was a Capricorn beforehand) to answer this and: it's just perfect for him. Like. Did he just manifest himself and whispered this information to me?

His direct family is his mother, and two brothers (no surprises, here). As for his extended family, in my mind, Mila and Mortimer are half-siblings (they have the same mother), so Cassandra and Alexander are his cousins. He's very close with Cassie who's one of his best friends, and despite often complaining about him, he would kill for Lucas. But he's not very close with Gunther. And of course, he adores his mother.
