I love Claude Monet's artwork. He was brilliant!! Seeing him in his studio gives me a joyous feeling in my soul!! It's so big. He can create almost anything of any size that he wants to make in there. Just imagining all of the art that has found its beginnings in that studio.... that has been finished in that studio.... so much beauty from one place.... it is overwhelmingly awesome to think about.... it makes me very happy 😁🤗😍

I got this a couple of weeks ago because it was on clearance because it's going to be discontinued, and I used some gift cards ((which I had to figuratively hoop jump for)) to slash the price down more than the sticker on the box, but oh my God, this was worth the efforts for the Minifigs, tiles, Easter Egg reference pieces,and Technic parts.

The head sculpts are incredibly accurate, and the dual molding and print details on the Minifigs are top notch, such as the back quills, character tail, shoe markings... Even Amy's eyelashes are crisp and well aligned, better than most action figures tend to do. Eggman even has longer legs.

I don't have a space to keep it fully assembled, so I kept it up for a week and took apart the main play features... I kept the picnic area, Newtron, Chopper, Eggmobile, pool toy, jetski, hammer and walker mech intact because they're smaller, but the rest was integrated into my main Lego trays. As long as I have the assembly manual, I can sort through my organization boxes to get the appropriate pieces...

Now Shadow doesn't have to be so lonely anymore.

ya know, what made epic the musical such a joy for me personally is seeing it actually develop throughout its 4-5 year long history and I don't just mean like from the ground up and everything. I mean it in a way as someone who immediately clocked Jorge Rivera-Herrans as a fellow playwright heavily inspired by Lin Manuel Miranda's style - which fucking meant of course most of the early publicized drafts of epic were raps because of course they are (this is not meant to be a slight because like I totally get him)!

But like actually seeing Jorge apply the lessons in LMM's writing into his own original style that is befitting to the story he wants to tell - and not only that, he literally took his audience along with him on his journey with every tried-and-tested demo and audition and everything, and the actual pre-production and production process of writing an album is something we don't usually get at all, especially in something as extensive as a musical concept album!

Like what really had EPIC make it's mark on the internet and on musical theatre (especially INDIE MT) is that it was a literal Odyssey of sorts - the creation of this entire fucking thing was a journey from beginning to end and we were all invited to witness it from behind the scenes while also having many artists among fans be a part in its creation one way or another, while also observing how Jay had his own artistic development throughout - from someone whose epic was quite obviously heavily stylized after Hamilton, into an artist whose style he can call truly his own.

I have so much more to say on how and why epic became such an iconic piece of work and perhaps being the first MT work in 2020 to truly define the decade, but all in all let's just say I'm glad to have witnessed the growth of an artist - and I'm excited to see what art this will inspire in turn.

What are these short and compact games that you have been playing?

Well, off the top of my head, shorter games (10 hours or less) that I've been really enamored by include Journey, Night In The Woods, Abzû, Sable, Limbo, Gris, Year Walk, Never Alone, The Mooseman, Samorost 3, Katamari Damacy and Firewatch. I'm not saying all of them are objectively great and everyone's cup of tea, but I personally vibed with them.
