milchick's breaking point with lumon is going to be nuts. he seems to have genuinely convinced himself that the horrific working conditions in season one were solely due to cobel being batshit crazy. "i am not harmony cobel." or at least that's the story he's sticking to. and definitely SOME of it was because she's insane but milchick you were there in the break room. you closed the doors to MDR. you monitored them and punished them and intimidated them. but when he said, "as an unsevered man i'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life" about the doors it seems like he meant that. maybe in his own fucked fairytale land the ORTBO was supposed to be a positive experience for them (in addition to keeping them productive and compliant) as is dylan's visitations, and all the other rewards he developed. he WANTS to treat the innies like people. they're calling milchick the cognitive dissonance king. and the higher he climbs the ladder and gets a peek behind the screen and sees a mirror in natalie and her experience, the less he can justify the work he's doing.

Gooey is pretty much kind of a shapeshifter and solidity of his from heavily depends on his mental state. Any extreme emotion can make him loose his grip on the body, so he kinda starts melting over. Most common nominators for that are negative emotions: fear, grief, shock. Being especially specific - something BAD happening to Kirby (pic 1)

Tho it also can be excitement or exhaustion. The extent of the body melting is fully up to intensity of the emotion

....And in a very rare cases, it can be anger

All Dark Matter are shapeshiters outside of the hosts. They're capable of changing their form since it's not solid from the beginning, but it can't happen purely by the power of will. Dark Matter's appearance very heavily depends on it's way of preciving itself.

Due to their nature being part of the hive mind, DM unit doesn't have an individuality in normal conditions - thus rarely any different traits. They might have some, but those mostly caused by environment and adaption to it.

When unit is separated from the hive, they start to accumulate more and more individualistic traits, gaining sense of self. It's a mix of "what I want to be" and "what I see in the mirror". If that makes any sense. More humanoid form, number of limbs and much more trivial traits like height are born exactly from that mix.

Gooey, growing up in Dreamland for most of his life, just tried to copy Kirby at everything, therefore perceiving himself as a child, growing along with Kirby. It isn't far from truth, cuz even as a DM unit they were pretty young. Haven't even figured out how to morph fingers yet (opposite thumbs are pretty usefull evolutional trait)

i will just never get over how explicit aos became with showing daisys trauma in season 4. they basically wrote canonical hurt/comfort fic, even if they kinda smeared the landing in the end.

this is one of the things that elevates the show above everything else ive ever seen. it is so rare, and so important for any media to showcase struggles with mental health in this way, to not present people as victims, but as active participants in their own life that are using the wrong mechanisms to deal with their problems because they are completely overwhelmed and are reacting the only way they can.

this is not meant to belittle people who have different patterns or might not be in a situation where being active is an option for them. this just breaks the stereotype and that had a huge impact on me. i still think about daisy whenever im going through a dark time myself.

I believe it to be kinda odd how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. sorta phased out the whole "S.O." thing

(And hey, S.O. here refers to supervising officer, not significant other)

Like it was a big thing in season 1. Whenever Skye made a mistake, Ward would take the blame for it, as "I'm her S.O." Fury was Coulson's S.O., and he brings that up throughout the seasons. FitzSimmons were implied to have one back at the Academy (Skye complained about her warmups and they promptly told her about what they had to do, so it's likely they also have one remotely), Garrett being Ward and Trip's S.O. was a MAJOR part of that season, you get the idea

And it still exists in season 2/3, but in much smaller increments. If it's ever mentioned, it's bc May took over Skye's training after Ward was revealed to be a big fat traitor. But not much beyond that

I wonder if it has anything to with the fact that past s1, there isn't a lot in terms of literally training the agents. FitzSimmons are pretty much geniuses, so the only thing they get later on is some standard fighting skills (I doubt an S.O. is needed for that since they were hardly in the field). Daisy finishes up her training by s3, Bobbi and Hunter leave the team midway and we don't get many new agents after them. Elena was never mentioned to have an S.O. and Deke already had a scrappy fighting style due to the future being well, the future

It's just weird to me, low-key, that for something that was so big in s1 doesn't do much past it. Interesting
