City of Tears. But Mini.

I wanted to make an atmospheric art piece with Dewi. And the City of Tears is one of the most sorrowing, beautiful, and grand places to do that. This is a lot of firsts for me regarding the architecture and lighting. The shadows cover a lot, and it may have been too much. I'm happy with how it turned out tho.

No idea how Dewi found his way into the City. Probably magic. Probably plot too :) But oh boy, he is experiencing childlike wonder in his raincoat!

This is a better show of the line detail I needlessly covered up in the final lol

I was initially shocked to see how big Archeops is when I saw him flapping next to Emmet in Pokémas the first time!! Had to draw him smaller to make this idea work (normal archeops height is 4'07"/140 cm).

Archeops also weighs 32kg/70.5lbs, about the same as an average 7~8 year old kid. Emmet sure could carry him around for a while, if he doesn't wobble around too much! (Which I'd imagine to happen often, Archeops turning his head around like a periscope surveying his surroundings before leaping off to chase something and leaving Emmet catching his balance.)

Baz "That Bitch" Pitch

After I did that sketch of Simon, I thought (naturally) that I'd sketch Baz. Simon was such a sweet character, showing up on the page of my sketchbook with little muss or fuss. Happy to be there.

Then there was Baz.

Fucking Baz. Baz, who couldn't just let me doodle him. Oh, no. No, I had to get him right. And he refused to be drawn the same way I did Simon, fairly carefree and loose-lined. Baz has standards. I barely got away with it being a sketch at all. Do you see how he's looking at me? Honestly.

I have to be done now, though. (No, you don't get a detailed jacket in this one, Baz. Sorry not sorry. Get back in my fanfic and we'll talk.)

yknow sometimes i see art of haurchefant and like. by all accounts its good art. but for some reason they fuck up his nose. and im like. its a simple nose you just gotta not invert it

it's always great to have series where you can notice new details every time you watch no matter how much you watch.

the scene where Aang is floating there mockingly and Azula manages to stop just in time before the building runs out but then Zuko just barrels ahead without looking, runs out of ground and takes a 20 foot nose dive into the dirt at top speed was always low key one of the funniest scenes in the series, but somehow it took me til now to notice Aang's brief half confused half concerned "oof that must have hurt" wince.

He probably genuinely believed nobody would be reckless enough that they would actually not look where they were going and actually run off the building. WELL YOU WERE WRONG and frankly should have known better at this point.
