#hallmark#a biltmore christmas#time travel#WHERE IS MY POST-CREDITS SCENE SHOWING HOW MARGARET REACTS???#she was one of the best parts of the movie!#you need at least five minutes of her screaming for joy!#also clearly there was a conspiracy of people in the past who knew about the time travel thing so how did that work?#what about that bearded guy on the crew who was CLEARLY another time traveler?#(there is no way that facial hair came from 1947)#also where does the relationship go from there?#how do you adjust?#does tour guide riker help out?#so many unanswered questions can fit into the last scenes of that film and i need answers#also just overall: thanks to people who said this one was worth seeking out because my goodness what a delight#that movie oozed charm#i think maybe my true core fictional love is classic '30s/'40s film because i was digging that vibe#the banter! the patter! the zingers! the perfect blend of cynicism and sentimentality#some of the background stuff was too modern but also some was spot on#that guy who played claude looks like he was born to be a classic Hollywood film star#the leading lady did not fit the vibe at all but she had great chemistry with the movie's leads so i can see why they cast her#the old-timey writer dude was charming#the main lady might be a new favorite hallmark actress (there's only one other on the list)#(watched part of a different film with her in it and she seems to put some of that classic hollywood sass into her roles)#i wasn't sold on the male lead at first but the writing came through for him#when he sits in the chair behind her! when he's trying to guess her personality traits?#charming and absolutely spot-on for the vibe#(the fact that they cast hallmark regulars in the remake is hilarious and also sad because it looks so much worse than the original)#anyway great time had a blast will definitely be rewatching

DSOD is such a funny movie. Kaiba comes on screen in his giant fucking space station molded into his company logo and I just laughed. He’s so dramatic. He misses his rival and is so obsessed with getting some closure for once in his goddamn life that he spent well over a billion dollars to excavate a cursed puzzle and build a space elevator to the afterlife but the minute anyone says anything about ‘hey maybe that’s a little unhealthy’ he’s snapping and snarling and telling them to fuck off. Except the cube guy. He’s has a duel disk and is also full of unprocessed grief so he can stay. Yugi Moto looks them dead in the eye and says “first of all, I’m only here because you both blackmailed me. Secondly, fuck you both for that, by the way. Thirdly, I’m gonna kick your ass”. Card games ensue, meanwhile Yugi tries his absolute best to show Kaiba the pharaoh is gone and maybe he needs to spend some time reflecting on his emotions and yes the invitation is still open to talk about Him BUT THEN THE NARRATIVE PROVED KAIBA RIGHT?!! AND THE PHARAOH COMES BACK AND YUGI HAS TO LOOK KAIBA IN THE EYE AND TELL HIM THAT HES SORRY FOR DOUBTING HIM?? WHAT. What Kaiba takes from all this is that a) his horrid coping mechanisms work after all, b) if he just fucks around enough and spends all his money he really can be king of the world and c) the best option is definitely to finish that space elevator and fucking. Go to the afterlife I guess. To duel his “hated rival” or whatever. Fuck off

HELLO#thank god for the kaiba/yugi in space illustration takahashi did bc leaving things off with the end of dsod is just.#not great. except for prideshippers I guess 😭

The big appeal about My Life With The Walter Boys (2023) is that it's so stupidly silly, cheesy and dramatic that you just can't help but watch.
#Is it every wattpad cliche I read when I was 12-14? Yes. Did I still binge watch it? Yes. Am I still rewatching the cute scenes? Also Yes#I cringed multiple times but it scratched my inner14 year old self's brain all the right ways. hot take Deadpool and Wolverine wasn't that good it was sort of just Ryan jacking off about how much money Disney was giving him, fanservice, and comic book/tv show references that only the most hardcore nerds would get.
#cannoli all over the keyboard#nothing wrong with being a hardcore marvel nerd however i think if it's gonna be a movie it should make sense to an uninformed person#not even uninformed in the sense that i haven't seen the other two Deadpool movies. i have.#but i don't have the time nor any interest in watching the marvel tv shows or hunting down comics#from what i understand i would have enjoyed the movie if i had watched Loki and wandavision and maybe the new dr strange thing#maybe it's my fault i fucking suck at being a nerd#<- to be fair i was forcefed Harry Potter and Star Wars as my only nerd content as a child#Harry Potter fucking sucks and i have no interest in ever revisiting it#and Star Wars is great in theory but there's so much content I'd need to consume to like get caught up#plus i struggle to watch it because it reminds me of my dad too much#i would make a great LOTR fan though. i wish i had grown up with LOTR. i need to get the books. and rewatch the movies. and everything else.#like even just watching the first movie of lotr tickled my brain so much and made me so happy#in a way that Star Wars and Harry Potter never did and never could#idk this is why i stick to smaller and newer fandoms. there's not nearly so much hollow knight content#and no one's gonna kill you for not knowing something#and no one calls you a fake fan#anyways I'm just rambling#turtlemagnum ass behavior but this is actually really fun

btw i know everyone didnt like elemental before it came out because it was advertised as yet another forbidden love story but i hope people actually watched it and realized its actually a really good movie with good themes and that it felt like, and was, more than just another forbidden love story imo
