It’s bike maintenance day! 😺🏍🔧

Honestly this is the first time I’ve done more involved jobs like taking apart my calipers and rebuilding them. I have the typical stock toolkit that fits under the seat and I just don’t carry enough repair stuff with me, nor do I want to. I’m finally somewhere that has extra tools I can use. I’d love to carry a breaker bar, a torque wrench and full size sockets to make things easier, but I chose the badminton, book and skincare life 😹

I forgot how much I missed wrenching. I usually just pay for oil changes on the road because I don’t have a drain pan, nor do I want to deal with the logistics of how to drain the old oil or what contraption I can make to catch it blah blah blah.

So I’m happy to be working on my own bike. She is my machine. Don’t be fooled, I learned and am STILL learning how to do this stuff from YouTube University and sometimes I ask mechanics a bunch of questions before I dive in.

If I can can do it, you can do it too.

also the only person that came to help troy after he got knocked out was lint. out of the entire cloudspire team, referees, and crowds full of fans, the only person that made sure he was okay after he was run over by his own sled and dragged down a slope covered in obstacles was lint. smiles.

AO3 userscript: Only show primary pairing (automatically, no config needed!)

This userscript automatically hides fics where the primary pairing is not the first listed tag.

Neeve's script does the same thing, except it needed to be manually edited to make it work. I made a few edits to make it automatic if you are on a ship tag page, no code editing needed.

Other features (needs manual configuration):

Add more than one preferred pairing

Show works where pairings are in the first X number of tags

On a character tag page, automatically show works that have the character in the first five tags (experimental)

Add more than one preferred character

Show works where characters are in the first X number of tags

Oil change DONE ✅

Let’s do a headlight replacement!

Goodbye stock yellow lights which provide NO illumination at night, and hello nice bright white illuminance 👀 These are so bright, I feel like I can see into the future 😹

I’ve never swapped headlights on this bike myself before, but I have done it on my Ninja 300. I just started unscrewing stuff and poking things 🤷‍♀️

Does anyone know how to make a Script (tampermonkey / greasemonkey javascript) stay put when the page soft refreshes? I've been playing around with javascript to add some more icons back but every time you click to a new page they disappear until you do a full reload.

Either way I can (sort of) bring them back with a javascript code, but I need to know how to make them /stay/

Hey, if you, too, are mildly annoyed by the meme of Shadow calling Amy 'Rose', install this Greasemonkey script and set it up like so:

var words = {'Rose' : 'Amy', 'Amy Amy' : 'Amy Rose',

This makes it so that lone instances of "Rose" get replaced by "Amy." The second one is to preserve her full name when it's used instead of being replaced by "Amy Amy" (because the script sees a lone "Rose" and nukes it).

Might want to add match rules in Settings to only target your favourite fanfiction sites so you don't see silliness when talking about actual roses.
