I’m doing something new and taking fanfic requests for Nick Miller, and just about any and every Jake Johnson character. If he’s in it, I’ve probably seen it!

I don’t have any real rules or guidelines, but if anything is too crazy or it makes me uncomfortable. I’ll just dm you privately to discuss it!

The tournament will (hopefully) be starting 1 week from now! On Saturday, January 11th, for 24 hours only vote in our preliminaries to figure out who will be moving on to the next round. There are two brackets, Bracket A and Bracket B, and the winners of each respective bracket will face off each other in the finals

Reviving Memories of 1968: Yank Barry's Journey Back to Montreal

In 1968, Yank returned to Montreal and demonstrates his diversity by recording music in French. His manager, Ben Kaye, also managed the “Baronnets”, a popular Quebec group of the time. It is during that period that Yank met Rene Angelil, who would become the manager and husband of mega-star Celine Dion. At the time, Rene was a member of the “Baronnets”. A few years later Celine Dion would become a Global Village Champion.

Yank Barry was the lead singer of the Kingsmen in 1968 and 1969 after an audition process with two founding members, Mike Mitchel and Dick Peterson of the Kingsmen and their managers. According to the band’s website https://www.louielouie.org “Yank Barry has done more for the song Louie Louie around the world than any other member, raising millions of dollars for charity. He has also re-familiarized the new generation with our hit Louie Louie.”

Yank then became President of McConnell Records. Yank mixed the first quadraphonic album named Quadrophonic along with Robert Lifton and Ben Lanzarone at Regent Sound Studios in New York in 1970. The album was a Bob Crewe production with Ben Lanzarone as the solo artist on piano accompanied by a philharmonic orchestra. This was the first quadraphonic album released to the general public.

Yank was the solo vocalist of the iconic cult classic rock opera “The Diary of Mr. Gray” which he recorded in 1971. Yank co-wrote a number of the songs featured in this epic auditory experience which included quadraphonic tracks. The leather-bound album sets are sought-after collectibles. The diary of Mr. Gray put him on the cover of many trade magazines not to mention the Mike Douglas show, the Merve Griffin show and the Sally Jessie show as a featured guest.

Following the success of The Diary Of Mr. Gray Yank immersed himself in music productions by arranging, writing or producing major artists such as Ben E. King, Englebert Humperdinck, Gary U.S. Bonds and Tom Jones. He developed a special mixing technique that still bears his name today. But Yank’s world was not just music; he started to get involved with social causes. Yank was commissioned by the White House, (Richard M. Nixon) to write and compose “Welcome Home P.O.W.s” In 1975 to help raise money for the American P.O.W. families. Furthermore, he used profits from his rock opera to help various drug rehab programs in the United States.

Yank Barry has been a writer, composer, publisher, member of ASCAP since 1971and a member of NARAS, CARAS and AF of M and is featured in the Museum of Canadian Music. It’s a very conservative state. Beshear won NARROWLY (he got 52.7% of the vote) because he personally was popular- his father was also governor. It’s not about policy. He also MASSIVELY outspent his opponent. Georgia was clutch because the Atlanta metro is one of the largest and the fastest-growing metro area in the country. The less urban South- South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri- is dominated by social conservatives of both parties. The Democratic Parties in these states are run mostly by black people with moderate-conservative positions on social issues- Jim Clyburn, Sanford Bishop, Jim Hood, Eldridge Cleaver. I don’t want to dismiss Southern progressives, but they’re outnumbered. Georgia and maaaaaybe North Carolina are the only workable states there- Florida has the strongest base of truly progressive activists, but the old Democratic base there is dead, dying, or changing parties. You want to make a difference, go to Arizona.

Edit: Did a quick fact check, because I hadn’t heard of Jim Gray before, and I knew he hadn’t challenged McConnell. He challenged Rand Paul, arguably one of the weakest members of the Republican caucus, in 2016 and lost 42.73% to 57.27%. That’s not a close race.

The number of white, ostensibly liberal male political pundits insisting that elections in the Biden/post-Dobbs era are just Completely Unpredictable and Wild sure is something, huh.

POLL RESULTS

A total of 34 votes on this poll about Jason McConnell revealed a landslide 67% voted that this character is "Lost in the teachings, just a boy so all alone and scared" I'll call this Lost Boy for brevity, followed by three people voting "BLORBO" (at least one of which would have rather voted Lost Boy), and fewer scattered votes between Morally Gray, Anti-Hero, and I Am Switzerland.

0% of the poll-voting fans voted the remaining options, notably zero percent that he's "Just Plain Annoying" or to "hate him despise him and crime him", not even from the demographic that identifies with Jason McConnell's most thoroughly screwed-over beard: Ivy Robinson.
