Disturbing Hidden Messages on Thisisnotawebsitedotcom
@itsrachnime
If you type in Naitsauf and sign the contract from Bill, then type in Mabel or Dipper's name into the computer and click on the knob, some weird creepy messages start play. I've reversed all these messages and tried my best to find out what they say in this video.
(Skip to 0:45 and 1:28 if you want to hear the messages reversed)
youtube
The first message seems to be saying "Someone help, the murderer's name is Bill" though I could be wrong.
The second message, when reversed, might be saying. "I'm tired. Everything is burning. Out of this cabin. You killed us all. Remember us."
I'm surprised not many people are talking about this, but my theory is that the person speaking may be someone from Bill's old dimension (which he destroyed) warning us about Bill. That or maybe they are speaking directly to Bill, tormenting him by reminding him about what he's done, since it's clear Bill feels an immense amount of guilt for destroying his home dimension. I do wonder why the messages change depending on whose name you put in though. Let me know what you guys think.

btw bill canonically has a mother and father and therefore triangles can reproduce (most probably in pairs). that means the triangles canonically have reproductive organ(s). however we do not see any on bill, even though he is mainly naked. except his bow. which means the only sensible conclusion is that his bow hides whatever reproductive organ(s) he posseses.

I was watching 'a tale of two Stans' the other day and suddenly realized something. Perpetual motion machines shouldn't have technology making it work. That's, like, the whole point of a perpetual motion machine. To not need machinery to work. Turns out Ford's as much of a scam artist as Stan, he's just better at hiding it.

Do You guys noticed how GOOD METHAFORE ITS FIDDLEFORD AND THE MEMORY GUN ABOUT REAL DRUG ADDICTION?
He started using the gun as soon as his life became complicated, and when he saw that it had satisfactory results, he started using it more, to the point that he did it with such excess that it began to affect him in healthily, mentally, socially, as a family, as everything.
And he ends up just being a crazy, lonely old man, without even a home.
Man, Things I didn't realize when we were kids.

I recently saw these two theories on Reddit, which got posted by two separate people four years ago, and I really wanted to share them. (I cropped out the names because I didn’t want to risk bringing unwanted attention to the users.) I think the first one about Stan and especially Ford having undiagnosed ADHD and ASD respectively, are basically fanon at this point. However, some may still disagree, even now.
The second theory though? That one really piqued my interest, seeing as I’ve never seen such a theory about the show put forward either. If nothing else, it would most likely be a very controversial one if it ever became popular.
Like the one who came up with that one said, the theory definitely falls apart once you’ve actually finished the show. What about before that though? Does that person have a point then? Based on what I know/what I’ve read on the subject, the writers most likely just hadn’t finalized their conception of Ford yet and/or weren’t allowed to make his existence too obvious (even though a lot of people during/after season 1′s airing already guessed that Stan had a secret twin anyway).
Even so, the idea that Ford may have originally been meant to be a part of Stan’s imagination is so wildly intriguing to me and I have thoughts on how it is that could have been playing out all along, before they neared the end of the series and instead ‘solidified’ Ford’s existence in the world. But it’d be pretty hard to try and find obvious proof for. Probably.
What are others’ thoughts though? Anyone have any?

Stan's Twin Theory
Hey, this is a new blog dedicated to Gravity Falls, and specifically to theories about Gravity Falls. We have some interesting (possibly far-fetched) theories. This is one of them.
Stan’s Twin Theory:
Stan has to have a brother (although not necessarily a twin), because he’s Dipper and Mabel’s Great-Uncle, and they all share the same last name, therefore he must have a brother. However, we believe he has a twin. Here’s why:
twins are genetic (and the gene can skip generations)
There are some pieces of evidence found in the show that supports our claim
We also believe that Stan’s twin may be the Author. Here’s why:
1. The Hiding Spot
Tumblr media
Look, a hole in the ground
In Tourist Trapped, Dipper found the 3rd book in the forest near the Mystery Shack. This may seem like a stretch, but think about it! where would you hide something important that you might want to access easily? By your house.
Tumblr media
Gideon’s factory
In The Hand that Rocks the Mabel it is shown that Gideon’s family factory is located on Gopher Road, the same street as the Mystery Shack.
Tumblr media
The Mystery Shack’s address via the Deed is 618 Gopher Road.
This could explain how Gideon found the 2nd Journal.
And it’s interesting to note that Gideon was searching for the 1st Journal at the Mystery Shack.
Tumblr media
Possible hiding spots
There are possible hiding spots listed in the 2nd Journal, they seem to be located around a building similar to the Mystery Shack.
2. The Bunker
Tumblr media
The Bunker is located underground, in the forest near the Mystery Shack.
There is a sign on the wall of the bunker that says that it is a nuclear fallout shelter. Now, where would you build a fallout shelter? Near your house of course! During times of bomb scares people would build fallout shelters in their backyard.
And since the Author did experiments in the bunker and was observing a shapeshifter, it would be more convenient for him to have the bunker close to the place where he lived.
3. The Glasses
In Carpet Diem, a secret room is discovered in the Mystery Shack, and Stan finds a pair of glasses.
Tumblr media
Stan finds the glasses
Later he is seen staring at the glasses, and he frowns at them in both scenes.
Tumblr media
Stan contemplating the glasses
This could possibly represent an old memory of a friend or *cough* brother. It is obvious that someone lived in that room at some point, so why would Stan want to cover it up?
Tumblr media
!!!
In Dreamscapers, it is shown in the 2nd Journal that the Author was surprised to see glasses on the Bill Cipher wheel, possibly because those are his glasses.Take a look at the glasses, they are similar to the ones found in the secret room.
We don’t think these are Stan’s glasses because his glasses are square with rims at the bottom, while the glasses found in the room and on the wheel don’t have rims at the bottom and are rounded.
Also in Dreamscapers, is a flash back of Stan when he was just a wee lad.
Tumblr media
Notice his glasses are square and have rims at the bottom.
Tumblr media
Here is Stan a little bit older. Notice that he still has square rimmed glasses.
But, in The Time Traveler's Pig, a younger “Stan” is shown with round glasses without rims at the bottom. His glasses look exactly like the one’s found in the secret room.
Tumblr media
Is this really Stan?
Also, this “Stan” has a cleft chin, whereas we have never ever once seen Stan with a cleft chin (not even in flashbacks).
4. The Calender
Another small point: the calendar in the secret room has the date July 4, 1982 circled. It can be assumed that 1982 is the year the room was abandoned.
Tumblr media
The room definitely looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 80’s
However, in the Author’s bunker, there is a calendar on the wall. Guess what year is on the calendar. 1982.
Tumblr media
The calendar in the Mystery Shack and the calendar in the Author’s Bunker are from the same year, 1982.
This suggests that both the room in the Shack and the Bunker were abandoned around the same time.
5. Wrestling Match Flashback
In a brief scene in Stan’s flashback in Dreamscapers, we see young Stan at a wrestling match. There is a kid reading a book in the stands that looks very similar to child Stan, he even seems to be wearing the same clothing.
Tumblr media
Could this be Stan’s twin?
6. The Swing-set
In Dreamscapers, Stan’s mindscape is very creepy. One notable object in Stan’s mind is a dilapidated swing-set. This is the stuff of horror movies.
Tumblr media
Good times
Since we can assume everything in the mind is a symbol of a significant part of Stan’s life, then this swing-set is very telling. It likely symbolizes a broken childhood. Since it is a two swing swing-set, it could symbolize another person, likely from Stan’s childhood. A close friend… or sibling…
The fact that only one of the swings is broken is also interesting. In Into the Bunker, the Shapeshifter states that the Author “hasn’t been himself in 30 years” suggesting that he probably went crazy.
Are all these merely coincidences? Maybe… But this is Gravity Falls we’re talking about. This show is filled with foreshadowing, plot twists, and secrets. There is just no way that all of this could be a coincidence.
So, what do you think? Is this a stretch? Or are we on to something? Feel free to comment with your own theories. The more the merrier! :)

This lady’s a victim fr, we know early grey hair and erratic behavior is a side effect of the overuse of the memory gun. since Bud is a member of the society it’s likely he used that gun on her as much as he wanted to. It’s giving Stepford Wives levels of abuse

I kept thinking about how Mabel said she thought he was dead while being possessed… and it doesn’t take long for blood flow to stop. So I had a thought that none of the injuries caused by bill would truly appear until dipper was back in control. So any fork stabs, bruises, scratches, would only appear when his blood was flowing again.
just a thought

my ten-year-old sister has been infected with toxic old man yaoi disease specifically of the billford variety. unfortunately, she considers it strange that bill is a triangle & ford is a human. her solution? make ford into a shape too. squares, ovals, oddly shaped blobs. forget humanizing bill– 2D ford is the way of the future <3

I have a feeling you were 11 years ahead of your time, OP
Website spoilers ahead
When putting in "STOD EHT TCENNOC" Into the website, you get a book all about "BillVille, the first cult in history that was right"
It was started by a man named Silas Birchtree, but specifically his corpse being puppeted by Bill Cipher.
Here's the picture of him in the website
Tumblr media
The cane?? The bowtie?? The triangle?!
We also now know that Bill burned his dimension, furthering the fire motif
In one of the choose your own adventure books, Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirates' Treasure!, this poem is written
"Sixty degrees that come in threes.
Watches from within birch trees.
Saw his own dimension burn.
Misses home and can't return.
Says he's happy. He's a liar.
Blame the arson for the fire.
If he wants to shirk the blame,
He'll have to invoke my name.
One way to absolve his crime.
A different form, a different time."
Ok the fact that the theraprism was foreshadowed in 2016 will never not be INSANE to me.
Maybe the last name is a coincidence, but the birch tree is definitely a symbol of bill. And maybe it'll be far more important going forward! And the fire thing! Keep an eye on the trees! KEEP AN EYE ON THE TREES! IM GOING INSANE MAN I DONT KNOW WHAT THIS SHOW DOES TO ME,,,
Man, I love gravity falls so much
Bill and Birch Trees
I was re-watching Dreamscapers just now, and I realized something a bit peculiar: there seem to be a lot of birch trees.
Sure, there are usually pine trees surrounding the mystery shack, so the birch trees seem to be deliberately drawn there at certain times. I feel like they must have something to do with Bill.
Of course, birch trees are seen on Bill’s page in Gideon’s Book…
Tumblr media
And they also appear when Bill is being summoned.
Tumblr media
So what do they have to do with Bill?
Well, I figured they may be the “eyes” Bill uses to watch them with. Let’s get real, the bark clearly looks like eyes. But I am sure there is more to it. So I did a little research…
(And I do mean LITTLE research. I seriously looked at the first two websites that popped up on my search engine…)
Birch trees have a unique connection with fire, which interests me as Bill likes to shoot flames at people. Birches can quickly repopulate areas damaged by wild fires, and birch makes great kindling as it will ignite even when damp! Birch is also a solar emblem. In alchemy the sun is the symbol for the MIND and INTELLECT. Hmmm….I wonder how that connects…BILL CAN INVADE MINDS! And Ancient Chinese cultures personified the sun as a COSMIC EYE-LIKE BILL’S EYE!!!
Tumblr media
Sooooo this is me just really freaking out. I don’t know everything about alchemy and sun symbols, so I am sure I am missing some major things here. I am just so so so excited about how creative Alex Hirsch is with all of this. I am going to continue my research (and look at older episodes for signs of birch trees), but for now-look at these birch trees at the end credits!!!!!

I'd like to propose a dark horse candidate for the most interesting line in The Book of Bill. And it's this near-unreadable, seemingly one-off joke from the "Skin" page:
Tumblr media
[ID: tiny text reading: "Help! This is not Bill Cipher. My name is Grebley Hemberdreck of Zimtrex 5. I'm one of thousands of beings Bill has devoured over trillions of years whose souls are now trapped inside him. You have to free me! It's horrible in here. He just keeps playing the song "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark on an endless loop. Please, please, this is not a joke! The Zimtrexians were once a proud and mighty people, but now our spirits long for release from this..." End ID.]
Okay, so Bill devours souls who then live out a horrible existence inside him. That's just some typical and expected Bill behavior, right? Nothing to be shocked by? Maybe not, but one thing jumps out at me... and of all things, it's the way that Bill keeps playing that Beach Boys parody (correction provided by @fexalted: no, not in fact a Smiley Smile parody, but a real song!) on loop.
Because in The Book of Bill, there's a recurring motif of characters playing music for a very specific reason: to repel an unwanted presence inside their head. This is what Elias Inkwell, and later Ford, did with the "It's A Small World" parody — they tried to keep Bill out of their brains. Or, metaphorically... to drown out his voice.
Tumblr media
[ID: a Journal 3 page with a cassette taped inside. It's titled: "The World Is Small Ever After for Always." Ford writes: "If it's war you want, it's war you'll get! If you want to torture me? I'll torture you back!" End ID.]
That doesn't necessarily mean that Bill finds the voices of devoured souls to be troubling, let alone downright haunting, does it? Well... not quite on its own. But there's a "color" code on the page about TV static that says a lot:
Tumblr media
[ID: a code consisting of colorful squares, translated to letters that spell out: "he never sleeps he never dreams but somehow still he hears their screams." End ID] (screenshot courtesy of @fexiled)
The context of the page implies these "screams" come to Bill especially when he listens to TV static, and the broader context of the book implies that these are the screams of his destroyed home dimension, Euclydia. Therefore, not necessarily those of the souls he devoured, from Zimtrex 5 and possibly other dimensions.
Except... do those two things really have to be mutually exclusive?
The beings that Bill devoured were accumulated over "trillions" of years, plural, according to Grebley. In Weirdmageddon 1, Bill claims to have resided in the Nightmare Realm for precisely "one trillion" years. So the "devouring" habit probably extends back even further than his time in the Nightmare Realm...
Enter @acetyzias, pointing out a very conspicuous word — and one of the only uncensored words — from Bill's description of destroying his home dimension:
Tumblr media
[ID: the word "mandibles". End ID.]
Oh, and how does Bill describe the "monster" that destroyed his home to Ford, when Ford asks about revenge?
Tumblr media
[ID: Journal excerpt reading: "Sixer, it would eat you alive." End ID.]
For a long time, Bill's destruction of his home has been associated with fire, even when the story's told by Bill himself. But through the way the book characterizes Bill's guilt — and characterizes how the consequences of what he's done remain lurking deep inside him — I think The Book of Bill lays out the hints for another motif: devouring.
And, well, when it comes to how Bill destroys things... it wouldn't be without precedent.
Tumblr media
[ID: screenshot of Bill in Weirdmageddon 3, taking a bite out of the Earth. End ID.]

was chatting with my brother about gravity falls (again) and i said something like “man, can you believe stan waited and worked for 30 years just for the chance to try and bring his brother back?” to which my brother responded, “yeah, it’s nuts when you think about it. i wonder if stan got trapped in the multiverse instead, if ford would do the same.” HELLO???
