Not that you must sin much to be forgiven much and so love much—not that. God doesn’t need bad to bring out his good. But when we see how much of a sin one sin is, and how bad a break just one break makes, then we begin to know what love God’s love is. Then our hearts are broken that we treated God so, and we’re down on our knees in untellable gratitude and eager service. It’s worth while to see as God sees. ~ Bent-Knee Time [ref. Luke 7:41-50]
“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” ~ Luke 7:41-50

wiping the earth's tears, hungry for life. aimlessly whirling around in the hands of the universe, endeavoring the sinking vanity of existence — just trying to heal. wait. did you imagine it differently? did you think that suddenly everything would go quiet and you would feel safe? you thought that the memories, contained with hatered and provoked anger, would simply vanish out of your youthful head, didn't you? but those futile thoughts are hauling you into a seemingly bottomless chasm. we only have so much time, and healing is an idyllically process — a process that reaches souls from within. since the earth keeps on swinging ; looking for a connection, a space between evolment and repeating, please stare down at your feet and let it all go. sleep with a clean heart and nurture your burning eyes.

Although I am a firm believer in the benefits of medication when it comes to treating mental illness, I am also aware that there are many ways to cope with your mental illness that do not involve medicine. One of the ways I like to cope is to write down 10 Things I am grateful for in my journal every day. By doing so, it makes the weight of the world feel a little less heavy on my shoulders and it allows me to take a moment and remind myself that things could be a lot worse than they are, and to appreciate the fact that they aren’t. Here are a few of the things that are on my gratitude list almost every day: having the time to go out for drinks with my best friends, the bond and relationship that I have with my mother, my two cats who I love more than words can ever express, those really grand sunsets that you can’t help but to stop and gaze at, and the love of my life who goes out of his way to constantly make sure that I feel loved and appreciated (we were dressed up as Morticia and Gomez Addams for Halloween this year and smashed it, obviously). These are some of my driving forces in life, and I think that writing down those drives, things, places, and people you are grateful for each day really does a wonder for the mind and I would recommend integrating this habit into your life if you feel like you are struggling. What are some things you are grateful for today?

Let me hold you while I may/A normal day
A normal day! Holding it in my hand this one last moment, I have come to see it as more than an ordinary rock, it is a gem, a jewel. In time of war, in peril of death, people have dug their hands and faces into the earth and remembered this. In time of sickness and pain, people have buried their faces in pillows and wept for this. In time of loneliness and separation, people have stretched themselves taut and waited for this. In time of hunger, homelessness, and wants, people have raised bony hands to the skies and stayed alive for this.
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, savor you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it will not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky, and want more than all the world your return. And then I will know what now I am guessing: that you are, indeed, a common rock and not a jewel, but that a common rock made of the very mass substance of the earth in all its strength and plenty puts a gem to shame.
The day is over, and now I will sleep.
By Mary Jean Irion, in the essay, “Let Me Hold You While I May” from the book, “Yes, World. A Mosaic of Meditation”, published in 1970 by Richard Baron Publishing

Gratitude is an attitude, a behavior that we exhibit, a mindset that wechoose!
Sometimes it's hard to be grateful. Let's be honest gratitude isn't always the first thingthat comes to mind right?
After a rough day at work, an argument with a spouse, a flat tire on the way to an important meeting..
Luckily, we can be grateful while still feeling a full range of emotions.
Gratitude truly is recognizing that not everyday is good, but that there is something good to be found in each and every day.

Yesterday I realized a weird way that I practice gratitude while I was walking with Mila in my favourite place in Lucca. Let me be really clear here - I kind of suck at traditional gratitude practices. 🙈 I have a hard time actually remembering to use my gratitude journal despite having notification reminders on my phone. Actually, I should probably just delete them because that shit is not aligned. And there’s a time and place for implementing these kinds of practices - when you really need a dose of focus + consistency to build momentum. It’s all good, boo, because you always gotta do you. But walking through this piazza and taking the 1000th photo of Mila and these churches I realized a couple of things: 1. #Gratituesday needs a major come back and 2. This is the way that I practice gratitude My friends make fun of me for posting the same photo constantly but every time I walk through this piazza all I can think is “I am so fucking lucky to live here.” Talk about an entire fucking vibe ✨ My cells literally vibrate with a gratitude I couldn’t contain if I wanted to - hence the 3847 photos. Because this space fills me with awe. It’s a level of beauty that just doesn’t exist in other places. And what’s funny is that I have these little spaces in every city I’ve lived in - places that I just can’t get enough of and that I go back to again and again and again. Because THIS is my gratitude practice. And while this post is mostly about practising gratitude it’s also this vibe: Fuck the rules. Fuck ‘em. Fuck the way we’re supposed to do things or that we’re being told to do them. Tap into YOUR WAY because it is the ONLY WAY. That’s what my whole business model is aimed around lately. Don’t live WILD FREE WELL because that’s what vibes with me. But DO take the time to get clear on what VIBES WITH YOU. What makes your heart beat? What makes your cell vibrate? What makes you want to take 9749 photos? What lights you up? ⚡️ Follow that. Be grateful for that. And amplify that entire vibe by sharing below what really gets you going! 👇🏻 #wildfreewell #attitudeofgratitude #goyourownway #yourwayornoway (at Cattedrale di San Martino) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoXCd8PKMRK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Sometimes we find ourselves attached to things whether it be people, material positions or emotions. Learning how to just flow with life and not letting these things be all there is to us is one of the most peaceful life there is. - Shellz. P

Wanting to take this time to be grateful with my job and everything in my life
Hey, it's #GratiTuesday
Right off the bat, I want to thank the Lord for my job, and for my friends who were instruments. Heavenly Father saw me struggle last year and He gave me the way out. I'm so happy for the opportunity He gave me. And I'm so blessed to be part of this workforce.
I am grateful for my sister. When I decided I wanted to be a copywriter, she gave me a side gig where I can practice and hone my skills. I know how to design and write copy. Amazing.
I am blessed to have Filipino friends who are good to me. They are very fun to be with and very generous. I thank that my leaders are amazing.
I love my home. I love the room I rent. It gave me peace and I love my housemates. They're easy to get along with.
I love my current lifestyle, being able to eat the meals I want, and get to send money when I feel like it.
I'm grateful to be in a position to help. Although I feel like it's always me who's giving and I always have the choice to ignore.
Which leads me to my next point, I love that I have a choice to decline.
I love that I am at peace today, I'm on my second day of the 30/30/30 challenge. I want to accomplish everything.
I also want to learn more about expressing myself and I love that I allow myself to be spontaneous and just go all out.
I love my life to be honest. Although some of my choices often make me punch myself, but it's good that I am still able to come back to my core.
My core is to express myself. My core is to make contents that I genuinely like, regardless if people want to follow me or not. I love my opinions as much as I do.
