I planned to draw something small for this day, but a Drawn Together frame inspired me. I also wanted to draw my boys before finishing the year!

This year it had his it and low, but I hope to improve that in 2024! Meanwhile, I wish you a happy New Year's party and a wonderful next year!

So I recently found out some INSANE INFORMATION ABOUT PROTOTYPE VULCAIN and lets just say that changed my entire perspective on anthro Vulcain and now he's a whole new man. Tbf, I haven’t posted much of him here now that I think abt it... so it probably doesn’t feel like much of a departure or difference unless you’ve seen my posts regarding him on like, my discord server lol. 

the gist of the discovery regarding proto-Vulcain is that he was meant to be SECTOR X’S boss, and therefore would NOT have been adapted to Solar or even had any trace of fire/lava in his original design. Coincidentally, a headcanon I have for anthro Vulcain is that he has a ‘cold’ state and a ‘hot’ state, and his peers have to actively keep him ‘cold’ or he’ll revert back to monster form. So, with this revelation of Vulcain’s old design, I jumped at the opportunity to use it as his ‘cold’ state design! so his previous design is now simply his ‘hot’ state!

Things to know about anthro Vulcain! He likes to think of himself as the ‘leader’ of the bioweapon ‘squad’. He really likes attention, so tries to make himself seem larger to others. Easy to do, since he’s already burly. He’s absolutely STOKED to have legs, as he never had them back on Solar. Though, he really ought to be careful with them-- they’re bionic, so if he overheats, he might melt them by mistake. Of course, that’d make him angrier, which could aggravate his condition even more... just generally a bad situation. Vulcain can be very hot-headed and doesn’t like being challenged, so it’s best to carry a bucket of ice or water with you if you plan on telling him anything he doesn’t want to hear.

him being made of... flesh... and not appearing as if he’s made of lava... has resulted in him being able to bond more closely with his peers! Especially Goras, who feels that they have more in common than he initially expected! This makes Bacoon incredibly jealous because now SHE’S the odd one out, being the only aquatic bioweapon.

The name ‘Sanga’ comes from the JPN version of SF64! He MIGHT be named after Frederick Sanger (therefore his JPN name is listed as ‘Sanger’ on Arwingpedia) but I’m not actually positive of that-- I don’t know if it’s been confirmed if that’s who/what he’s named after for sure. Granga doesn’t like Vulcain’s alternate name because it sounds too similar to his own. LOL.

tbh I should rlly set a timeline for my anthro bioweapons. I generally write them like they’re Geneva’s weird experiments/projects, but Geneva’s rlly only active POST Lylat War... so really Shawn Warren and Vulcain shouldn’t be able to interact. TOO BAD I kinda just felt like Drawing Shawn so here he is. Perhaps R.S. Duke woulda been better in context but its TOO LATE NOW LOL.

idk, ideally all the funnee talking bosses would survive but like, I’m sorry, there’s NO WAY some of these mfs lived after their respective boss fights!! Like I think Galaxicos and Armando survived but that’s already RLLY pushing it/stretching (my explanation is that Galaxicos used an escape pod after his defeat & that Armando was able to survive the Attack Carrier crashing, but just BARELY, so he’s rlly injured afterwards). The end results of the Mechbeth, Shogun, and Sarumarine fights seem pretty damn fatal if you ask me.

Wolf's face lights up with a broad smile as his brothers-in-arms presents him with the delicious-smelling meal. "No worries, Grang! Ya didn't have to go out of your way to do this!" he exclaims, eagerly taking the dish from his friend while his senses come to life. His nostrils flare as he inhales deeply, savoring the aroma with a hunger hat causes his stomach to growl. The smell of the freshly-baked bread and the rich, savory meat mingle together in a tantalizing blend, teasing his olfactory senses and making his mouth water.

"Holy shit, this smells incredible! Thank you!"

snuck in some videogame while waitin for pizz[a] tryin to rotate thru the switch online collection more often since i am paying for it after all;; got thru the first stage of StarFox64, which is really my first try at anything StarFox i'm terrible at dogfighters, so it's nice that it's pretty forgiving lol (so far) i love the old cheesy voice-acting, especially when Granga says "no..." like he dropped a bagel then i tried Alien Storm in the Genesis library; i picked the robot not much to say yet, but i did run into a minor bird alert:

then got through a couple Puyo Puyo 2 rounds in the SNES library (beat ghost orb and girl trio... i'll look their names up eventually, but it's too bad they don't translate these 😭) EDIT: character names in Puyo Puyo 2 are in romaji, i am just forgetful 🙃

[ We are on June 11 and today I remembered to put my LGBT avatars on my RP accounts, even though Granga has been with his pansexual icon for a year or more lmao

Anyway, I'm not dead, it's just that the faculty still kicks my ass a lot and for things in life, but I'll have my time to be able to write the prompts and askbox questions. I still plan to answer the LGBT questions from the ask meme that I shared a week ago. Tbh I would really like to explore Galaxicos's bisexuality as a complicated detail of his life but uh, first I need to learn well how to develop or write it ha haha ]

“Your key to survival may come down to weaponless combat,” Musa said, his booming voice carrying over the fight. “How well can you dodge or how easily can you topple your opponent without a spear or a knife? The answer to these questions may be the difference between life or death.”

“Hmm,” Gharr grumbled. “Terrible footwork on your girl, Sky.” 

Sky sat on the edge of his stone stool, watching his two eldest children scrap. He ignored Gharr’s comment. His children were trained by him. He knew they were good fighters. He taught them well. 

“That’s right Fern, keep him away,” Sky murmured to himself. “Don’t kick too high, Forest! You’ll knock yourself off balance.” 

There were varying degrees of attention and interest in the fight of their fellow teenage tribespeople. Dandelion looked on bored, tired after his own fight a round earlier. Meanwhile, Nuri was attempting to distract Granga with gossip. 

Granga’s eyes were fixed on the three one-on-one fights happening in the center of their teaching room. 

“So...do you have intentions to marry Limli or are your affections fleeting...she would like to know,” Nuri said, her voice lost in the commotion of grunts from the fighters and the commands and observations of their elders. 

The fights were not the childhood stretching and air punching of their youth. Those fighting were going after their opponents with all their might.

Gharkk was busy trying to explain the moves and the fighting that Limli and Nbolki could clearly see transpiring in front of them. Both of the women were unimpressed and tuning him out. 

As the room watched, Ruko nicely managed to miss a flying kick from his opponet, Ando. 

Limli was sweating and it was from more than just the ferocity of the summer heat. 

Tali had been losing ground the entire fight and the fury on her face was known. She waited for the perfect opportunity, watching each minute movement of Amina’s facial expressions and then--

WHAM! Tali took Amina to the ground and scrambled to top her. 

Amina’s head hit the fur covered dirt floor hard. She lifted her head up in a daze. Her opponent became a blur of brown fur and red hair. 

“Enough!” Musa called and all at once the fighting was finished. The opponents bowed to each other and panting faced the elder council. 

Amina’s eyes remained downcast, but she could feel her father’s frustration and angry moving through the room in waves. 

“Very good work today,” Musa cleared his throat. “Expert take down Tali. It seems Amina has much work to do.” 

The room’s tension popped with the disappointment in his words. What filled its place were sad eyes toward Amina who had to stand there stoically as her father berated her skills. Musa was tough on each of them, but his daughter most of all.

Practice "realism" for these characters. Try to adapt them a bit to the species that they really are. xD I think they don't look good tbh but it was still fun to do hahaha

In regards to my last post, I have in fact, never posted purple Gil! Time to fix that.

The drawing is from a set of images primarily from December 13th (Gil was drawn on the 14th) 2019, where I used arbitrary colors to draw each character. I remember I definitely drew Granga and Goras with my younger sister, I think that may be the case with all 4 pics, even.

As these images are quite old, Gil’s design (and Granga’s) is a little outdated. Nothing hugely different though. Mostly changes in facial features and silhouettes.

I still like Zako and Goras’ pics a whole lot though. Especially with what I did for the lower half of Zako’s armor. That’s not referenced from anything; Zako doesn’t actually have any canon full-body renders, so I made it up. Def gonna keep using that design in the future.

So with the heroes of the Star Fox series out of the way, I figured I should draw the villains of the series too. No Anglar Emperor though, Star Fox Command was trash. I’m not sure exactly how many of these characters I’ve drawn before, but I know it’s definitely more than half. Andross and Oikonny definitely, maybe Wolf, Leon and Panther.

I think this is the first real piece of fanart I’ve ever done.  And of everything I could’ve picked, it was Granga and his mech from Starfox.  Granted, I took a -bit- of artistic liberty in drawing them both, but, eh.  Sometimes that happens.

Though, really.  Why Granga?

And it took some two hours before I realized that I forgot his mech’s undercarriage cannons.  Crapcakes.
