Demon Twins AU, except Danny is loyal to the League.

The League of Assassins is a “cult” for a reason. They know what they’re doing. Ra’s has been around for a very long time; he’s seen every trick in the book and then some.

So when his daughter Talia gave him two, near-identical twin grandsons, he had already planned out their lives by the time the sun had set on their first day living. He knew the plans weren’t perfect. Nothing ever went exactly how he wanted it to. But that was the joy of being absolutely fucking ancient. Ra’s adapted better than anyone. If something went wrong, Ra’s will simply work around the issue and live to see another day.

So the boys were raised as he wished. Ruthless, with sharp blades and even sharper wit. They matched each other in every way, blow for blow. Neither won more than the other, and Ra’s encouraged the competition between the twins. Eventually, the battle for title of Heir came, and Damian won that particular match.

Danny was fine with this. Thrilled, even, for his brother to earn the title of Heir. The boys were very close, and worked well to take down targets twice their size. Ra’s approved this, and granted Danny title of Shadow. He was to be Damian’s eternal shadow, a guard. Both Talia and the boys were pleased with this.

But then came the time for the boys to learn how to live without each other. They’d gotten too used to someone guarding their back. Too complacent and too confident in their roles. Ra’s knew it would happen, and so sent Danny off at a very young age to live with some sleeper agents in America.

The Fentons.

Damian would stay here, with Talia, to learn how to be the perfect Heir. He needed to learn how to fight without the assistance of his brother.

Danny would go to Amity Park, and be fostered by the Fentons. He needed to put his skills to practical use and learn how to live without constant orders.

This was their Test.

Damian did quite well, for a while. Until Talia sent him off to his birth father, The Bat. Reports on his behavior declined in quality after that, and Ra’s couldn’t help but feel dissatisfaction with how the Heir had been corrupted.

Danny’s reports were always immaculate, however. His mask never slipped, and he’d worked himself into the hearts of the townspeople. The sleeper agents, Jack and Maddie, had a daughter who was quite enthusiastic about the properties of the mind, and accept Ra’s instructions to teach Danny with ease. It was the ideal situation.

In Ra’s eyes, Danny was thriving. Damian was not.

And then Ra’s died. The League was in shambles. Damian was at peace with his family, away from the cult he grew up in. He assumed Danny had defected years ago, since their mother stopped giving him reports about his twin.

Then Danny showed up at the Wayne’s doorstep, decked out in full League attire, angry and hostile.

“Tell me, dear brother,” he spat. “Why did you not inform me that Grandfather had died? I had to find out through his spirit when it came to visit from the afterlife!”

Damian didn’t know what to say.

Oh, ah, yes, the "How to beat magic quest with no magic", we've all seen it.

So... About Martin's story XD I still hadn't brought Martin to the Priory at that time... and I met Tooth on shore. He told me to meet him at the bottom of the Bay. I didn't think much and I followed him.

I had the enchanted ring, so I cast water breathing on Martin before we went in the water. He did follow me, but stayed close to the surface. Couldn't blame him.

But! Tooth told me we need to stay down here with him, not only for "a full three hours", but also "do not wander off."

I said yes. Not a big deal. I can handle it, and I can even cast the spell for the both of us. Then I looked back. Martin was so far up.

I should re-cast the spell for Martin, but I wouldn't dare to drift too far from Tooth. Especially not too close to the surface. I chose an angle I can saw both Tooth and Martin. His spell did ran out, and he swam up and stayed up there, which is good.

At some point Tooth suddenly swam away, I followed immediately. Martin saw we're moving and followed again. Tooth only swam for a few meters, so we all stopped. Later Martin noticed we're still not done, so he swam up to breathe again. Good for him.

After three hours, Tooth decided "ok that's enough, bye". Then I passed the test, and not once did Martin pass out! Good jobs, team. After that, I cast Water Walking on both of us and we walk back to shore. See, Tooth? I'm very good at Alteration.

Come to think of it, I should've let Martin stay on land at the beginning. Sorry Martin ^^'

Martin, starts to think we're not gonna continue on to Weynon Priory. (side note, Martin's puffing cheeks is based on a meme I like. I just think the red cheeks are cute. Will reblog below)

Canon Nightwing Fun Facts Part Two

(From someone reading Nightwing from rebirth to current)

-he has an advanced degree in forensics?

-he isn’t a fan of modern tech (mostly the idea of cell phones and social media culture) in the rebirth run. He still has a landline.

-he says that he likes the dial tone. That even as a boy in the circus, he could pick up a phone anywhere and hear that tone. It’s always been something steady in his life

- he had a secret lair in the subway tunnels of Blüdhaven and his password to get in is “Robin”

- He has a rolling batcave. A literal semi truck turned into a bat cave. It has everything you’d need, plus a bunch of Nightwing-y extras (a cabinet of unhealthy cereals, a turntable with vinyl records, and assorted gym rat stuff like a glute-master.) Batgirl made it for him.

So, lately I've been reading my way through some really good Castlevania fics on A03, and I have to say that while there exists a delicious selection of fix-its....

There is a definitive lack of time-travel fics where the Nocturne-era crew get sent back to 1400s Wallachia.

Imagine the insanity of that scenario? Maria, Richter, Annette, and Juste have never known anything quite as bad as the full power of Dracula's wrath. Even Ezrebet Bathory couldn't hold a candle to carnage and destruction on that scale.

Alucard is just having an all around awful time for obvious reasons, and then you have Trevor and Sypha. Trevor is just doing Trevor, getting drunk and trying to forget his grief when WHABAM!... More Belmonts, two other random hunters, and a super old dhampir with depression. He is not emotionally prepared for any of that, and neither are the others.

Sypha is just doing Sypha, trying to save the world and looking for the right crew to help her out with that. She has no idea what her presence (and Trevor's) mean to Alucard, just that she's found her Hunter and Soldier.

Trevor is immediately both protective of his newly materialized relatives and standoffish with them. He of course has no idea that they've time-traveled or that he's their ancestor, so while he sees Richter as "just a kid" and innocent of any wrongdoing, he holds some resentment towards Juste because his perspective is basically "Why didn't this surviving elder of the Belmont clan come to try and help me when I was alone as a child? Did he genuinely not know that I was alive or did he just not care?"

Richter really wants to say something and set the record straight, but Juste finds it easier to be loathed than to try explaining, so he keeps Richter quiet.

Maria is still just mourning her mother and trying to recover, so she mostly does her own thing while occasionally spending some time practicing magic alongside Sypha and Annette.

Annette isn't sure how to feel about this whole clusterfuck, but she's pretty sure that she hates it, and she definitely hates having to watch as people undergo even greater suffering around her.

Alucard is crying in the corner, he's so fucking exhausted but can't tell anybody because he needs to be strong for "the kids," Oh..... And also this version of Trevor still hates anything and everything night related, even him, so showing weakness just gets him mocked.

And there's Dracula coming in from the left with a steel chair!!!!!!! 😮 🪑
