You know what, if there is one theory I have (for laughs) that I want to be true is All For One is Midoriya’s GRANDfather.

I already explained why in another post, but if I had to say I want AFO and Midoriya to be related, than I want it to be in that way.

Even better, on Inko's side.

Didn't say it in the other post, but I think it would be mad wild if she was AFO's daughter because the irony of her having the same hairstyle as his enemy Nana and having a "floating" type quirk.

It would also reflect Shigaraki to Midoriya more for the fact that they both had/have moms who do care about them and vice versa.

In addition, it would be a reflection of Inko to Kotato.

Inko - daughter, who happens to be a kind, caring mother to Midoriya but her father is the most feared, evil villain of all time

Kotaro - son, who is the totally opposite mistreated his children yet his mother was a sweet woman who was a Hero

Both having the similarity of parents abandoning them. Yet, one didn't want to and the other (hypothetically) didn't care to be there/or just didn't know.

Like if we're gonna do the whole DFO Theory, gotta think outside the box for it. It would be perfect in showcasing reflections for...

Izuku -> Tenko

Inko -> Kotaro

AFO -> Nana

Also, think about what it could do to All Might. (I know some of you like that angst.)

Not only did AFO take his predecessor's grandchild, but he's also the grandfather of his own successor.

"Oh? And why not?" All for One asked. "After all, that is where-"

"Where I met Hisashi, I know."

"Not that I understood why you accepted his proposal." All for One sighed dramatically. "After all, that was his twentieth straight loss against you. At least, if you were to enroll Izuku-"

"Dad, the times have changed." Inko interrupted her father, "I can't just put Izuku in the fight rings. I didn't start until college, after all, and the local joints don't accept teenagers."

"I suppose it cannot be helped." All for One conceded. "Has he at least wiretapped a government building?"

"We don't have the money to afford quality wiretaps." Inko made a dismissive motion with her hand, as if to say 'what can you do'. "Market-quality is so..."

"I knew you shouldn't have married that deadbeat." All for One grumbled. "That young Yaoyorozu heir was in the same club, wasn't he? Why didn't you marry him?"

"I considered it." Inko shrugged. "He just wasn't my type, in the end."

Kinda debated on even posting this fic since while I loved it, I didn't think anyone else would care to read more of this AU. It's a sequel to "He Cares... In His Own Way...". This one is a little more horror adjacent, I guess. So yeah, beware of violence and blood.

Obsessed with Lloyd never mentioning his grandfather is the First Spinjitsu Master, apparently to the point even Arin didn't seem to know, because "eh, it never came up". Cause like, yeah, sure, my grandfather is God, what of it? Normal day for me. Shit happens. My dad is also evil, you wanna talk about that? I sure don't.

It's also funny from a character arc perspective. Here's itty bitty baby first season Lloyd, loudly proclaiming he's the son of Garmadon, and probably also making sure everyone knows he's God part 3 electric boogaloo. And then one Tomorrow's Tea and a few more years later and he's doing everything physically possible to NOT care about his heritage. In fact he'd probably rather his parentage was literally anyone else. Dude could care so less he forgets about it most of the time. King behavior.

one thing that i’m always just begging for is one of the OG Dads (granddads) to look at one of the grandkids and just go “Oh you must be Henry’s/Darryl’s/Ron’s/Glenn’s grandkid” OR JUST AS IMPORTANTLY “oh you must be Sparrow/Lark’s/Terry’s/Grant’s/Nick’s kid”. Oh man, REALLY loving Dark Winds on Netflix. I was afraid it wouldn't be good. It's really good.

Zahn McClarnon, the man they cast to play Leaphorn, is just incredible. It's like they put out a casting call for "a cool dude" and got the perfect match. I love him. He does such an incredible job. He plays the character in a very controlled way, most of it being in his face. The show is fairly serious but there's a lot of humor (not comedy but humor) and the way he brings humor into the performance without ever overplaying it is fantastic. He reminds me of my grandfather, who didn't laugh out loud much but you could still tell he was laughing. Just secretly, with a little smile and a glint in his eye. Unlike my grandfather, I find him very attractive. He has an interesting face I could never get tired of watching. Also he is short which is fucking delightful.

Anyway yeah the rest of the show is really good too. I hope they don't Netflix it.

B. Yes! Not specifically, but it's how I write characters interacting. Example, when I write siblings or sibling-like relationships, it comes easy to me because I'm an older sister (the eldest).

L. I'm laughing right now. Two, popped in my head. Of course, one AU I have in mind is the "AFO is Miruko's grandfather" AU. I say that one is weird because I wrote it just because. I just looked at their hair and eye colors and went "Let's write a fic". The fic is called "Surprise! You're Related!"

Another answer I have is, the AU itself is kinda common, the "Miruko is Midoriya’s mentor" AU. It's not that part is weird, but I took a more comical route with it and it's one of the chapters that makes it funny to me. It's chapter 8 of "Beware of the Bunnies". Spoiler alert of those that haven't read it!

In that chapter, long story short, both Miruko and Midoriya are hit with a magical girl quirk and the whole chapter just plays homage to the genre, especially to Sailor Moon. I grew up on watching magical girls and I still love the genre. Of course, I had to write it!

R. Hm... not really? Well, seeing everyone I follow and are mutuals will often encourage me to work on my own fics. I see someone update their fic and go "Ooh, let me go work on mine". EVERYONE, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

No one comes out and says it. No one mentions that they are from the future - though they assume most have figured that much out - and no one mentions their past as often as their (alive and well) family would like.

So their family sits and wonders. Wonders about the oddities they've noticed. They wonder why Caladion flinches and Saeleth looks seconds away from screaming. They wonder why Calemir seems so malleable and why Ruiniel looks lost.

They wonder, and it's with a heavy heart that Finwe walks to the residence his grandchildren are staying at.

Caladion speaks of his mortal family if only to attempt and sway his grandfathers opinion of the Second-born. A futile attempt, Caladion's ears ring with the song already working to right itself, to correct a mistake that should have never happened, but he has to try. The Second-born may not be as strong or fast or as wise as the First-born but they persist. They hope. That is one thing Caladion carries with him.

(It is odd seeing his uncles alive. It is more odd to have them touch him.

He tries not to flinch.)

Saeleth seems as if she doesn't care. She seems as if she is having the time of her life with Orome and Huan and her father's younger self. She seems as if there are no ghosts that haunt her and she acts as if this is a vacation.

It isn't. She knows it isn't. But Saeleth also knows how to act, when to blend in and hide and stay still and quiet. Saeleth pretends there isn't a fire that burns in her chest when she watches her father and her uncles interact. She pretends she doesn't want to snarl and scream and rage at Caranthir and Celegorm and Maedhros and Maglor. Saeleth pretends that the she doesn't blame them for the lives they've lived. The lives they were forced to endure because they were either had to leave or were left behind.

Saeleth pretends that being treated as a princess doesn't make her want to kill something.

(She pretends that she doesn't think about her cousins. She pretends that she doesn't want to bloodied Caranthir's face for leaving his son behind and that she doesn't want to take a knife to her grandfather. Calemir was a thrall for over 30 years, she wants to scream at them, He watched you die! He watched his House fall! He suffered and when we found him after the War of Wrath he begged us to kill him.

How dare you, she thinks, how dare you leave us to such a horrible fate.)

(Her angry at her own fate is subdued. She thinks of running and running and running and never being safe because she was being hunted. She was a Feanorian without protection and Sauron knew that.

She was easy prey.

She wonders if she's ever stopped being prey.)

Calemir is all smiles.

He enjoys his fathers company. He enjoys the company of his uncles. He enjoys listening to the bickering and basking in the love the brothers have for each other.

He doesn't think they will ever love him. This world is too perfect. Too pure for someone like him. He may have been among the first - if not The First - peredhel to walk Arda but he marred. He knows hunger and pain and how to yearn for a death that isn't his. Calemir knows jealousy and greed and how it is to be left without.

(They could only hide him for so long. They could only pretend he was someone elses for so long-)

But Calemir has many faces, many masks for different people. Calemir smiles and jokes and doesn't let it be known that it feels like he's bleeding out surrounded by so much light and love and is careful careful always careful to keep himself covered.

(The sting of a whip and the glint of a blade in torch light-)

They don't need to know anyway.

Ruiniel hates this place. She hates Aman with it's steady stream of light and she hates that everyone here is bereft of the knowledge of how it feels to yearn.

Ruiniel grew up begging and stealing and first became a thief before becoming their queen. She knows how to kill and steal and lie. She is dangerous.

No one seems to notice that she could kill groups of them without remorse.

Ruiniel doesn't know how to react to that. There has always been someone that has known she was dangerous. Someone that was cautious and on edge whenever she walked into a room.

There is no one like that here. There is no one here to kill, maim or overthrow and Ruiniel is at a loss.

This place is too kind for someone like her.

She'd never belong here.

Finwe walks knocks on the door, there's a second before Calemir answers.

"Your Majesty," Calemir greets and has continued to greet Finwe no matter how much Finwe has tried to get him to stop, "What can we do for you today?"

"Do you and the others have a moment? I believe there is something we need to discuss."

Calemir's mask doesn't falter, Finwe gives him credit for it.

He wonders what Calemir had to endure to master it.

"Come in." Calemir steps away from the door. "The others will be here soon."

Au where Moonpaw is in fact Bayshine and Thriftear's kit but the entire clan is convinced its a Squirrelflight and Crowfeather situation where Bayshine and Thriftear adopted Moonpaw from Nightheart and Sunbeam and is a nightsun kit because of her pelt and name, and everyone's jumping to conclusions about it. Moonpaw is a sweet but cunning and devious little devil child who is all too happy to cozy up to her "parents" for extra attention as well as get them in trouble and just generally be a little shit.
